Review 20：the staff at the front desk could've been a little more nicer, however the housecleaning ladies that i met in the hallway were very friendly. there was hair on the desk, on the bed, and in the bathroom which was weird because supposedly the room was just finished getting cleaned.

Review 25：The hotel was quiet despite a large number of guests. The person preparing breakfast was the only employee who seemed to care and acted that they wanted to be there.
Review 26：A prior guest had urinated on the mattress and when I brought this to the attention of the staff they acted as if it was that big of a deal. They didn't get me a different room eventually.
Review 27：We had traveled down for my sons graduation from Parris Island, so we had multiple rooms and family members with us. I have never been to a hotel that messed up so much, treated me and my aging parents with such rudeness, refused to take responsibility for anything that was wrong in all my years traveling. They messed up the reservation, even after I called three times to check on it. They wanted to charge me more than what I had agreed upon when making the reservation, the front desk staff and manager were rude about fixing the problem, even though I had email and printed proof of my reservations, instead of politely trying to resolve the issues. The staff shirts were dirty with food stains, the rooms were musty and moldy and finally to add insult to injury, the last night of my stay I found a cockroach on my toothbrush holder.

Review 29：We had strong mold mildew smell..and Im pretty sure the carpeting was wet. The clerk seemed somewhat aloof to everything. She was nice.. but not much personality and answers to our needs and concerns. I know there were a lot of complaints about cock roaches .. from others and we had the mold issue that is why we left. otherwise we may have stayed one more day.

Review 32：I actually booked this hotel by accident when I visited Hilton Head on a whim during a very busy(ie expensive) weekend. I didn't know it was so far from Hilton Head but it turned out being a great accident. Very good deal especially when many other hotels during that weekend were charging double and they weren't rated as high. Very clean rooms, pool is small but is nice for what it was, great channel selection, breakfast was nice(but of course not 5 star quality). Overall I would recommend this hotel to visitors
Review 33：The front desk manager was rude and unfriendly, her attitude set the tone for the rest of the staff. The hallway carpet smelled like stale cigarette smoke and fish. The room door key cards would not work on the second day, the night desk clerk said if I had in my wallet by credit cards or cell phone it would deactivate it. Never had that problem at any other hotel.

Review 40：The first impression walking into door was,the staff was not friendly. The only friendly one was the white girl. She was very professional. The room stunk, the beds were wet from humidity, and the carpet was sticky and in need of cleaning. On Sunday morning, we tried to SLEEP IN, but all we heard were the maids cussing and carrying on up and down the hall. They would bang the doors in and out of the rooms they were cleaning. There were No do not disturb signs available and when the maid took our dirty towels she did not leave any clean ones. Needless to say, we will not be staying there ever again.

Another employee was walking around with her head wrapped in a scarf and a tank top on which I found very unprofessional also there was another employee sleeping on the couch in the lobby. When my boyfriend and I got up to the room that the girl gave me it was already occupied I took the keys back downstairs and her response was oh I'm sorry. I have been in hotels working for the past 4 years and it's not that complicated of a job to smile and give decent service which I feel this hotel lacks extremely. Also the breakfast was disgusting

Review 59：This hotel was awful. The light right by the door was not working, the room smelled of mold, the sheets were turned inside out and the sheets felt moist. I assumed the housekeepers never changed them, almost all of the towels had dark spots on them and hair, the bathroom sink had brown spots in it and hair. Everything was just nasty. Overall I think that hotel should just shut down. You can tell they tried to "renovate" it however they failed. I would never stay there again and do not recommend for anyone to stay there

I was not greeted or welcomed and they did NOT set expectations as to what the check-in process was going to be or what type of wait I would have. After 15 minutes of waiting in the lobby and not knowing when I was going to be able to go up to my room, I actually had to ask them if "there was a reason for the delay in checking in". They were friendly and cordial, and, again, not rude or anything, but just seemed to be unfamiliar with their function and how to perform this function.

Review 75：We came into town for the birth of our first grandchild. I called the hotel a few hours after check-in time and let them know of our situation and not sure when we would be able to check in but it could be very late. The lady said it was fine she would hold our room for the two nights we reserved. After a 6-hr drive and 15-hr wait at the hospital we were exhausted by the time we checked in at 4:30am. The night staff said our reservation was canceled as a no-show. Needless to say I was furious BUT she gave us our room and said we could straighten it out in the morning. In which we did and all was good. The room was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly, and breakfast was good. Will stay there again and recommend it to others.
