Reviews for Rhett House
Review 1:Rhett House is in an excellent location to enjoy Olde Town Beaufort. Everyone working there is very welcoming and helpful. Starting each day with their breakfast and the near constant availability of snacks and home baked desserts is an added treat. We try always to include Rhett House if we are traveling in that area.
Review 2:It was an unseasonably warm and humid November day and the window ac unit was not up to the job.
Review 3:Super Inn decorated beautifully. Staff could not have been more helpful.
Review 4:When the TV in our (least expensive room) wouldn't work, they upgraded us to a suite that had come available. Beautiful views from the balcony--wish we could've been there for a week!
Review 5:The setting, accomodations, inkeeper and staff were first class all the way. Just goes to show that true southern charm and hospitality are here to stay will never be "Gone With the Wind".
Review 6:your breakfast chef was outstanding room was very comfortable and your desert chef made the best pecan pie I have ever had. our waitress was also outstanding and I wish I could remember her name.
Review 7:This being our first visit to Beaufort wasn't sure about lodging but this was definitely wonderful choice!! Great location, beautiful room, great food especially desserts, and very helpful staff. We will be back!!!
Review 8:The room was not in the Rhett House but in assoated buildings that were owned by Rhett House. The matress was worn out.
Review 9:Staff, location, food, clean room.
Review 10:Nothing.
Review 11:The room was beautiful, the staff were helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable about Beaufort and the surrounding area. The breakfast was wonderful and served in a beautiful dining room. The house was in a great location, close to the water and the town centre but quiet and peaceful. I would love to go back.
Review 12:Really enjoyed breakfast...all the special little treats they provided, the bicycles, helpfulness of the staff. Everybody was very friendly. It was a very laid back get away

Review 21:The staff were so friendly.
Review 22:The staff, the hospitality, the overall look/feel of the Rhett House. Really loved the location too.
Review 23:Entire staff was extremely hospitable...treated us like family. Rooms are lovely....charming B & B that I would gladly visit again.
Review 24:Would have been nice to have someone offer to help with bags instead of just watching
Review 25:Various snacks, porches and garden were great
Review 26:Everything
Review 27:Can't think of anything, maybe the parking could be tough at times
Review 28:Everything!
Review 29:Very nice location, beautifully decorated room. Lovely quiet area for a romantic weekend! The breakfast was excellent. We will be back!
Review 30:Beautiful house, bedrooms and the most tasty home made cookies!!!!! Everything is perfect there!!!
Review 31:We had a wonderful stay! The staff was great, as were the amenities. We will return!!!
Review 32:Beautiful B & B. Great Staff. Lots of history. Many celebrities stayed there.
Review 33:Staff was excellent- hospitable, warm and always quick with suggestions about the area or history of location. Breakfast was great, and the champagne upon arrival was a nice touch.
Review 34:Room needed a good dusting - furniture and blinds were dusty. Refrigerator wasn't working; neither was the TV. The shower door needs to be looked at - it was very difficult to open, so much so, that it took both of us to get the thing open.
Review 35:Lovely decor, friendly staff. Enjoyed the evening appetizers, and proximity to waterfront restaurants.
Review 36:We have stayed at The Rhett House Inn twice in the past year. DELIGHTFUL, absolutely DELIGHTFUL. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Accommodations charming. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Couldn't ask for more, in any way. We will return soon!
Review 37:Location of room on ground level. Bed was soft, your body would sink into it because mattress is too old. Toilet had plumbing problems, either did not flush or water ran continuously . Breakfast was terrible. Did not know how to cook eggs. You could have better prepared and tastier breakfast at McDonald 's. no imagination on food, certainly as far from gourmet as you can be.
Review 38:Location, easy walk to downtown and waterfront.
Review 39:Can't think of a thing - loved it all.
Review 40:The B&B was beautiful and comfortable. The 1820 era mansion exhibited all of the graciousness who would expect from that era. The staff was welcoming and professional; the "extras" (late afternoon appetizers and desserts/coffee later in the evening plus a wonderful breakfast) made our stay better than we hoped for. Also it is located in a perfect spot for touring and shopping.
Review 41:The breakfast was cold, the room was small and the bed.
Review 42:The history of the house and the nice people we met there. Sitting in the courtyard and the veranda were especially enjoyable.
Review 43:We enjoyed the variety of paid staff members we met but others mayprefer an owner-operator bed and breakfast. The cottage house was veryclose to the main house but we would prefer to be in the main house nexttime. The afternoon hors' deuvres are really just good cheese andcrackers. The main house itself is very nice, clean and comfortable butnot lavish. On further inspection, the area rugs need to be cleaned. Theexterior needs some painting.
Review 44:The Rhett House Inn is a beautiful historical home. Our room in thecottage building down the street from the mainhouse was small but verycute and comfortable; we used the gas fireplace every night. The roomhad a very clean en suite bathroom with jucuzzi tub, and a privateporch. We did not use the main house patio/gardens area but theywere nice. Parking was on premises on or on street and was no problemat all. Rhi is just a few blocks from Bay Street which has a plethoraof neat shops, art galleries and good restaurants. (The best isSalutus. Plum's is fun and good too. Order the exellent fried fishat nearby 11th Street Dockside.) We walked just about everywhereduring our 3-day, 3-night stay. Throughout the day rhi serves a nicemade- to-order breakfast, afternoon cookies and lemonade or tea, lateafternoon cheese and crackers (a nice honor bar is available and Ienjoyed a great $6 glass of red wine) and eveming homemade desserts. The staff were all friendly and helpful, from the cooks and servers tothe various innkeeper staff members. We enjoyed chatting with a numberof couples from around the country throughout our stay duringbreakfast and in the common area drawing room which had a fire place.Rhi makes good recommendations regarding tours and restaurants. Italso provided materails for a self-directed walking or driving tour ofthe many historical homes in the area. We loved the 2.5 hourPlantation and Gullah Tour led by Kelly of nearby The Spirit of OldBeaufort tour company.
Review 45:It was not a 4star b and b as advertised. Just a little bit off.Breakfast was just ok. Our room was not cleaned, bed made or bathcleaned for second night. It was comfortable but lacking in the nicelittle things that make a place special.
Review 46:The location was goodd
Review 47:Great history and luxury at the Rhett House! Beaufort is one of the most beautiful towns in the South surrounded by the marsh and the sea. All their rooms appear to be as comfortable as the one we stayed in. We enjoyed relaxing on our own porch and touring the historic town after a filling breakfast. All the details are attended to here but not intrusive. Having a bite of dessert in the kitchen in the evening was a great touch. Here you feel both pampered and at home.
Review 48:No table in the room and the pillows were horrible!
Review 49:The breakfast staff was great! Room was very comfortable. The socialtimes were fun and the food was good.
Review 50:We were in a unit separate from the main house.
Review 51:Location and cleanliness.
Review 52:Friendly
Review 53:Nothing
Review 54:Staff was wonderful!
Review 55:Just a bit pricey for what you get. Especially since it was off season.
Review 56:Nice old southern charm feel...
Review 57:Very comfortable and hospitable.
Review 58:Comfortable. Lovely B&B
Review 59:The Rhett House was simply charming, as was the staff who was so responsive to our every need.
Review 60:It was beautiful and charming! Can't wait to return!
Review 61:delightful. Can walk everywhere.Nice river walk. Adaquate food. Great relaxation.
