Reviews for Sisus Hotel Cesme
Review 1:Horrible amplified pop music all day and evening: for the sole benefit of pool staff who wish they were running a disco.
Review 2:Helpful friendly waiters and a very kind upgrade
Review 3:clean, good service, no problem.
Review 4:cleanliness, service, staff were wonderful flawless Chambers.
Review 5:1) Sisus food quality: We were ok with the food at Sisus until ordering dinner ala carte one evening. Our pasta dishes came with a side of shaved parmesan, which had gone white and green!! We luckily noticed before eating much the rotten cheese. We mentioned this to the waiter and the cheese was replaced. This unfortunate event should raise alarm bells with management. Hello, Mr or Mrs hotel gm: the kitchen/chef/and wait staff need some adult supervision!2) Dalyan's isolation: If you're traveling to this area and want to go on trips around the peninsula, you MUST rent a car! Dalyan village was basically just fishing boats til about 10 yrs ago: it currently has a half dozen fish restaurants, a dodgy corner store selling drinks, snacks/booze only, and some kind of variety store of no apparent use to hotel guests. There is little restaurant variety or conveniences such as car rental firms, drug stores, or grocery stores. For all this, you must drive 10-15 min to Cesme town. 3) Dalyan stray animals: There are probably more stray cats and dogs than people in this town! The stray cats at your feet whenever there's food in front on of you, even while your eating at Sisus. The stray dogs are pretty big, look very sad and lay around the streets/sidewalks..if you're scared of stray animals, beware!...if you're a serious animal lover, beware as this may be depressing. No need to say that overall cleanliness is rather lacking in public areas in this town. 4) Staffing at Sisus: There are lots of young, attentive, friendly staff at the hotel. However, as noted by another reviewer, there is an apparent lack of senior management oversight/coordination of those staff...especially at the restaurant. There is only 1 staff at the reception desk, answering all the questions and helping clients.....while there must be 6 or more staff manning the not-so-busy bars, restaurant, and pool. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
Review 6:The good things:1) The hotel looks impressive outside and inside: very clean, very modern and well laid out. We found the rooms spacious. There doesn't appear to any boutique hotel in the Cesme peninsula that shares these attributes quite like Sisus. (only based on our observations) 2) Sisus hotel is not overrun with small children and foreign tourists...which worked well for us. The clientele appears to be mostly Turkish. 3) I asked for flowers and wine in the room upon our arrival as it was our first anniversary. Sisus staff did well on this request! 4) If you like fresh fish from the sea every night, Dalyan village is the place for you! About a half dozen quality (yet pricey) restaurants are only a 5-10 min walk around the harbour. Make sure you now the meal prices before ordering! 5) We're not spa experts, but we felt the 30 min Sisus massage and pedicure were well done. 6) The pool area is well staffed and very nicely laid out, we found the rocking chairs quite comfortable actually.
Review 7:Constant piped music everywhere - too loud!
Review 8:The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was greta and good value for money and it was not too big
Review 9:I have back problems and for me the beds were a little hard but iam sure they would be fine for normal persons. Also the drinks were overly expensive . If they were cheaper people would more readily drink at the hotel.
Review 10:The boutique decor style was very attractive and the pool and surroundings were attractive . The marina was very peaceful. The dolmus buses ran regularly from the other side of the marina...a little walk...maybe not suitable for somebody with walking difficulties.
