Reviews for Calistoga Ranch

Review 1:The food was a little disappointing considering the quality of the rest of the property.

Review 2:Everything. Such a beautiful property with very helpful and friendly people. We'll definitely be back.

Review 3:The ability to ship wines - it was super confusing and expensive to ship from the ranch.

Review 4:The surroundings, the lodge atmosphere, the pool, the spa (especially the mineral bath hot tub and the friendliness of the entire staff.

Review 5:Excellent speedy service- staff are efficient and never say no (always find a solution even to difficult requests.) Spa treatments are amazing. Grounds are beautiful to explore. Pool area is 24h- night swimming and gazing at the stars is magical. Concierge makes great recommendations and books the best experiences.

Review 6:The holiday dinners on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were vastly overpriced and disappointing. The food ranged from okay to wonderful, but was often mis-named, which is not confidence inspiring, and at these prices it should all have been wonderful. The entire dining room was not organized enough to produce a several course dinner with wine pairing. A less ambitious effort would have been more successful. We ordered wine pairings with our dinner, but the pours were too small and mis-timed with the food, so we waited a long time with nothing to drink, and ate without wine. No one offered to re-pour, or even to sell us a glass in between. On Christmas Eve the sommelier even showed up in blue jeans. And in the land of wine, surely the wine list could include something a bit less expensive. It left me feeling like I'd been fleeced.

Review 7:We loved the setting, though at Christmas it was really too cold to enjoy hiking or sitting on the deck in front of the gas fire. The staff was very helpful for the most part. My adult children loved the fleet of hotel cars.

Review 8:The food was B- and crazy expensive. At well over $1000 a day for a room they shouldn't be charging for small special menu requests. Wont go again.

Review 9:The room was nice. Not five star nice but ok.

Review 10:The dinner service was excellent but the food only OK. Nothing was poor but not memorable either.

Review 11:The physical setup of our room was wonderful.

Review 12:Ants in the Master Bath.

Review 13:Everything was top notch.
