Reviews for Brass Key Guesthouse Adults Only
Review 1:No complaints.
Review 2:Everything about it. The room had been recently renovated and the outdoor decorations were even bettter than last visit. Breaskfast buffet was also higher quality foods. Wine and cheese with other guests is always interesting.
Review 3:We stayed out late and then had to pull ourselves out of bed since we didn't want to miss breakfast. It would be great if breakfast was until 11:00.
Review 4:Love your friendly and helpful staff - Scott and David. Room so cute and comfortable. Great breakfasts.
Review 5:The room next to the outside bar area was very noisy and we couldn't sleep until they closed it down around 1 am. Other than that it was a great time!
Review 6:The staff was very helpful and the location was great.
Review 7:We were a group traveling on a business trip. The hosts were very accommodating - from date change to assisting us with car wash! They couldn't do enough for us. All guests remarked how comfortable the rooms were, the breakfast was hearty and the property very well maintained.
Review 8:When our vacation was over.
Review 9:Lovely Color scheme, heated pool, large hot tub, splendid breakfasts friendly helpful staff and overall ambience. (I was there with my adult daughter.)
Review 10:Room too small even to have a chair in. 2 people would have been very tight space as used the other side of bed for my suitcase
Review 11:Attention to detail, cheese & wine get together Friendliness, I felt very comfortable
Review 12:The only thing that was negative was that my sink drained even when plugged. That was it.
Review 13:The setting was gorgeous and absolutely lovely. Our room was very comfortable and stunning. Loved the friendly atmosphere and vibe of the staff . Great little bar attached to it as well.
Review 14:1) Why do all of the inns in Ptown neglect to serve a protein with breakfast like bacon, sausage, or turkey sausage? The baked items like bread pudding were amazing, but my waist line would prefer some protein. Even the Hampton Inn has this down :) 2) The refrigerator in my room was placed in a nook underneath a low roof and the TV. Every time that I retrieved or placed something in the refrigerator, I hit my head on the corner of the TV. I'm still sore 3 days later -- it's very difficult not to hit one's head when going to the refrigerator. As your favorite attorney, this needs to be changed before someone has a bleeding episode or aneurysm from hitting the head. Just a friendly suggestion :)
Review 15:I love the ambience of this hotel, the location near all of the LBGT attractions and events in Ptown, the classical music that plays in the room, the beautiful breakfast, the wine and cheese, and the nice staff.
Review 16:Parking is a nightmare if you come back late in the evening. With the night life some of the cars parking we not guest but taking up spaces. Was told to drive around the facilities
Review 17:The people that ran the facility. The grounds were nice, but the rooms need to be update to today's travel needs
Review 18:This is one of the the priciest hotels in P-Town and for the price the rooms are a bit small and the staff is not overly-friendly (not a lot of smiles). I would've expected more comfortable bed and linens/pillows. I was a bit disappointed. You pay for the beautifully manicured grounds and the location.
Review 19:Excellent location and the grounds are gorgeous! You can walk one block to Commercial Street near shopping/restaurants. The grounds are beautiful! The pool and hot tub is impeccable.
Review 20:That I didn't stay another night! We will be back!!
Review 21:The attention to detail through out the grounds was beautiful ! An oasis away from busy commercial street, and close enough to enjoy shopping and the sites!
Review 22:The room we were given was small. There was not even a chair to sit in. It seems that because we booked with Booking.com we got a smaller room.
Review 23:The staff were friendly and the location was great. The facilities were nice and the included breakfast was good.
Review 24:We loved everything! The room, the grounds, the breakfast, wine and cheese hour, but most of all the service. Amazing customer service. Scott was great! What a great asset to your business. He's a keeper.
Review 25:The wifi didn't work on the last night and morning that we were there. Not a deal breaker but disappointing.
Review 26:The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The location was in walking distance of all attractions. My daughter brought me for Mothers Day and it was wonderful.
Review 27:Great little compound with a heated pool and hot tub in the middle of Provincetown, near everything. Nice breakfast buffet and wine and cheese hour in the evening. Would definitely stay there again!
Review 28:The coffee was terrible, :-( and there were no herbal teas to choose from. This upscale of a place should have really great coffee!!
Review 29:Location was perfect. Parking is always a plus at a downtown place. rooms were small but delightful. continental breakfast was reallllly good. staff and guests were all fun and great.
Review 30:The Brass Key was a beautiful property and excellent accomodation where the staff paid close attention to every detail. We couldn't have asked for a better experience while spending time in Provincetown. We look forward to returning!!
Review 31:The staff was very friendly, the facility charming. There were subtle decorative touches everywhere. Lots of attention to detail. And the location couldn't have been better. One block up from Commercial Ave allows you to participate in all the activity and dining it offers and yet, get away from it. We plan to return.
Review 32:I realize it was after season but the grounds were poorly kept. Could have been cleaner on the grounds and the flower beds could have been pruned. It should have been updated for a nice fall feel. Also the pool wasn't heated which was disappointing It felt like you didn't care about impressing your guests after season but still charged full season rates. At arrival our room smelled like urine. It was better after I purchased an air freshener. Although is was nice enough It came highly recommended by a restaurant in town but I'm sorry to say I wasn't very impressed but thought you may want to hear it to improve.
Review 33:The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Review 34:The coffee was second rate. It did not match the rest of our experience. :)
Review 35:I highly recommend a visit to the roof top with views of the harbor....couldn't think of a better place to enjoy our complimentary wine and cheese! The location was excellent; it was within walking distance to everything. My wife and I wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 36:A bit overpriced for what you get. Could have a variety for the continental breakfast---why not?? Make every detail count. I could not reach anyone at the front desk after 9pm on a Sunday 9/21/14 ...I didn't bother going to the "bar-main office" Is there free wi-fi?? I didn't get the memo if there is--but I ended up put most of the time so I didn't worry.
Review 37:I loved the layout of the units They capture the New England Charm that I was yearning for. I would not have been happy at any other location by just comparing them from the outside. The staff was very pleasant and some of the staff provided exceptional service. It was a very clean and fresh smelling facility. I did not encounter any aggravating or unpleasant noise. They kept the facility almost as clean as I keep my home which says a lot. Overall the Guesthouse help make this a picture picture and most memorable weekend. I would consider going back very strongly.
Review 38:Great staff and excellent service and restaurant. We were treated Di well by the staff and management that we have told our friends and we all will be going back next year. You a right in the center of action and fun. We love the town and the locals. We spent quite a lot of money on GooD Art by local Artists because we wanted to have souvenirs if the trip. My wife and I are owners of a small hotel in Panama and the hotel gave us some great ideas.
Review 39:The room, (King size), was on the small side.
Review 40:the staff were extremely courteous, the shower was spectacular, the Brass Key location was convenient, I wish I spent more than one night so I could tell you more about what I liked.
Review 41:11am check out time can be a bit rushed compared to other properties
Review 42:Great location, rooms are well decorated, charming, good sized bathrooms and comfy beds.
Review 43:For those who have not done their homework and established that Provincetown is a vacation destination of gay and lesbians, then you may be grossly mislead by the one photo provided by Booking.com of the male & female couple by the pool! This is not a true and balanced representation of what is clearly a Hotel popular with the many of G&L couples on vacation in Provincetown. My husband and I had a wonderful stay here and made to feel very welcome, but come on Booking.com - please update your photo montage!
Review 44:Lovely Hotel and ideally situated close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and room was clean. Lovely pool area and surrounding gardens. Cheese & wine gathering each evening was also a good opportunity to chat to other guests.
Review 45:Can't think of a thing.
Review 46:It was all first class
Review 47:Location was excellent. Comfort of room along with friendliness of staff
Review 48:Location of room...1st floor right outside of hot tub

Review 71:very close to shops and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful
Review 72:Parking was tough
Review 73:Staff were helpful and went out of their way to be accomodating
Review 74:Not enough breakfast variety for me
Review 75:The atmosphere and the people in General were suberb . Very cozy and private
Review 76:Coffee was "not up to par" with the wonderful high standard of the brass key.
Review 77:Location. Ptown vibe. Shipwreck bar. Widow's watch.
Review 78:Tiny room.
Review 79:Common areas: pool, hot tub.
Review 80:It was a lil pricey Parking

Review 82:We had a fantastic time. Everything was perfect from breakfasts to wine and cheese in the evenings. Staff are so friendly and welcoming.
Review 83:Friendliness of staff Rooms , beautiful Ideal location Facilities - good
Review 84:Couldn't ask for more
Review 85:Everything about this establishment is outstanding. Best staff, great location and privacy was phenomenal
Review 86:The only complaint I would have is they should do a little bit more of a selection at the wine and cheese hour. The selections of wine were ok, but they could of done a better job with cheese& crackers.
Review 87:The staff was excellent! When we checked in we were shown around and got a tour of the place before we went up to our rooms. We felt very comfortable, everyone was friendly.
Review 88:Bed was a little firm and possibly bag help when checking out would be helpful but didn't affect how wonderful the stay was.
Review 89:Very friendly and helpful! The staff told us about the town and attractions. You are spoiled with luxurious extras like European shower, bath robes, numerous toiletries, free gourmet breakfast, coffee, tea, wine, cookies. Only 1 block from town. Wonderful!! We already booked for next year!
Review 90:The staff was wonderful, the room was super comfortable, and the amenities where excellent. Everyone is so well trained and go above and beyond with service. Cant wait to visit again.
Review 91:I was hoping for a more gourmet breakfast but it wasn't bad.
Review 92:The staff was welcoming and the grounds were very clean. They had a wine and cheese party every night from 5 - 6 which was very nice. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace and the awesome shower.
Review 93:The staff was wonderful. Great spa and pool as well as nicely appointed rooms. Great location in Ptown - you can easily walk to everything. I'll be staying there again for sure.
Review 94:The noise from the cleaning staff as well as guests above in the early morning were unacceptable.
Review 95:The breakfast and parking was included. The inn was close to center of the action and shops.
Review 96:staff person who "greeted" us was edgy when we arrived but warmed up after about 5-10 minutes...... .everything is clean and well cared for except the carpeting; old, tired looking and should be replaced because it taints the overall picture
Review 97:what'S great:location - amemties,pool/spa lovely garden areas ,B-fast . rooms are pleasant-not large by any means and bathrooms nice-has parking and you can walk right in to town. generally staff was very friendly and helpful
Review 98:The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Our room was on the small side but had a large private terrace which was lovely. The bathroom had a large spa bath ! Wine and cheese events were fun - I would even say a real hoot one afternoon. Everything was clean - and even had free parking.
Review 99:The breakfast used to be a lot better. Every day the same uninspired selections--the overcooked eggy thing cooked en masse was inedible. I expected moreof the Brass Key. The breakfasts at other guesthouses in Provincetown(Aerie House, Inn on Cook Street) are superior.
Review 100:I love the beautiful grounds and secluded compound in the heart ofProvincetown.
Review 101:Mattresses are old and hard, for this much $ s/b pillow tops Our room was next to pool and we had noisy pool partiers that distracted us right outside our room
Review 102:Great location near Comm'l St Nice bldgs and pool area Good water pressure in showers
Review 103:The snobish attitude of some of the staff on the premises. And my wifeand I had both some trouble with the internet (log).
Review 104:The Brass Key Guesthouse has many features to offer (pool, nicerooms, incredible shower, nice breakfast).
Review 105:The rooms were fantastic and the grounds were beautiful. It was clear that the staff cared about the upkeep of the facilities. As a young just married couple we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to book a longer visit next time.
Review 106:Hard to come up with a criticism, more of a recommendation...consider having cookies and/or snack out in the afternoon for guests. :)
Review 107:The BrassKey was wonderful. Staff was accommodating, room was clean and inviting. Location was convenient to all the activities yet, allowed for some quiet time as well.
Review 108:We will absolutely be back next year. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was outstanding. Frank (who we learned was new to Brass Key) went above and beyond for us. He made our stay amazing. Everyone was so friendly and fun...Cant wait to go back again.
Review 109:The atmosphere and character were unsurpassed. It was great to spend the day out and about and relax in the pool or Hot Tub. It was the first guesthouse I've been to that you could practically spend the whole time there. The staff was warm and the walk through the facility and explanation of the amenities was very useful. It made you feel like you were visiting friends more than staying at a hotel. I already booked a room for the same weekend next year!
Review 110:The bed was a little too firm for me and breakfast was on par with what you could get at a Holiday Inn.
Review 111:Well designed environment, very attractive. Awesome location. Staff was great! Helped with dinner reservations/recommendations. Made the weekend very special.
