Reviews for Flattered to be in Tomar

Review 1:Everything is just perfect in this apartment. Wifi is extremely fast (50 Mbps). Very clean. Personel very efficient and courteous (Thanks, Filipa). Excellent location in Tomar, with plenty of free public parking (with optional paid parking if so desired). Best value for money in our 3-month trip.

Review 2:With no elevator the climb with luggage was a bit hard. Fillipa helped us however.

Review 3:Centrally located and could walk to everything. Apartment manager, Fillipa, was extremely helpful and pleasant. Whole place was spotless. Washer/dryer unit was very helpful. Well equipped. Close to market and several restaurants. Complimentary basket-breakfast for first morning was terrific

Review 4:A very clean and well-decorated apartment. We were greeted with a glass of Port wine, a warm welcome, and a good introduction to the city. We were walking the Camino to Santiago and so were very pleased to find a clothes washing machine and drying rack within the apartment.

Review 5:Meet and greet arrangements not ideal - there is no manned reception desk so we had to wait on the street until a member of the apartment company's staff arrived before we could be given access to our apartment. Also had to give an exact time for check out which was done in the room. No big deal for us but it might be for some.

Review 6:Excellent location, well appointed apartment - comfortable with nice touches - e.g. welcoming bottle of port and fresh fruit even though our stay was for just one night.

Review 7:The room at the back of the apartment (which is sort of a enclosed balcony), seemed a bit of wasted space. It overlooked a very messy garden area so you wouldn't want to sit there really. It was also a storage area for clothes which might be a better use for it and it could be converted into a dressing area with a wardrobe and drawers (as the bedroom had neither).

Review 8:This is a very well designed and well equipped apartment in the very pretty town of Tomar. The staff are very helpful and will offer suggestions of things to do. The bed was really, really comfortable and the shower was very good (although the cubicle was very small). We didn't order breakfast but were given it free both days which was lovely (its delivered in a bag outside your door at 8.30am) and it was very substantial with ham, cheese, croissants, fresh bread and jams, juices etc. This place is very good value for money. There is free parking just across from the apartment and its very close to the main street of Tomar for restaurants. I would highly recommend and would also look at their places in Porto and Lisbon in the future.

Review 9:There was nothing we could say was the best , because everything was absolutely first class. All the staff and the owner were friendly and just kept asking if there were any problems. The apartment was immaculately clean and comfortable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to everyone. Thank you for everything.

Review 10:Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Accomodation very central in Tomar can walk to castle and monastrey. Very very clean apartment with daily cleaning as well. They were flexible on check in times as well. The breakfast is fantastic, and a lovely treat opening the basket each morning to see what was inside, enough food to last through lunch as well. Tomar is very quaint, good local restaurants with variety of food. Market on Fridays has everything from clothes to fruit, veg, olives and local cheese as well, we stocked up for the rest of our stay further south. Will check out accomodation of Flattered in Lisbon and Porto in future as well.

Review 11:I adore this place, so much so I stored my holiday bag there as I knew I would be returning (for the 3rd time) soon! The welcome glass of port, the fresh flowers and fruit, books, Claus Porto bath products and quiet sophistication all add to the wonderful experience

Review 12:Very clean and comfortable little appartement near the center of the town. Felt like it was just redone. Great breakfast basket. Great value for money. Parking easy.

Review 13:I did not stay longer!!

Review 14:Filipa is very helpful and a credit to the company. There were fresh flowers and fruit in the room. Outside terrace and such a fab location

Review 15:None. Even when a Friday market sprang up around our car, our landlord handled it gracefully and peaceably.

Review 16:Wonderful location, very responsive staff, beautiful city. Daily breakfast basket with breads, fruit, yogurt, cheese, meat, juice and other choices left at your door each morning.

Review 17:Breakfast could be more diverse.

Review 18:Good location in downtown area but more impressively was the Curtoasy and helpfulness of the staff. Manuel was very kind to help us accommodate and recommended what to visit and even made reservations for dinner for us. Would definitely return.

Review 19:The apartment was quite compact ,with one small two seat sofa. I would say if there were 4 people staying it would be a bit of a squash.

Review 20:We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with views to the castle. Everything was perfect, of a high standard and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Two minutes walk from the main street with all the cafes & restaurants.

Review 21:We came back into Portugal to stay in Tomar. It is a beautiful little town. The only negative was the difficult electronic highway payment system. Can make ot difficult for tourists. Portugal needs to make it easier to use.

Review 22:The apartment has am excellent location just over tje river with a 4 minute walk into the old town. The apartment is in excellent condition and we had a view of the castle from the little balcony. Very comfortable.

Review 23:Absolutely nothing!

Review 24:Everything!! Lucilia was the most helpful and attentive representative. The whole experience of staying was excellent. Even free local parking!

Review 25:living room area a little small for 3/4 people, shower cabinet a little tight, overhead microwave a little high even with use of foot stool.

Review 26:central location, wonderful view of Templar castle, large comfy beds, kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi availability, spotlessly clean, good value, powerful shower, efficient heating system.

Review 27:The price was a tad high compared to similar apartments in the cities of Porto or Lisboa, but relative to Tomar this is probably the nicest place in town, and so it can charge more.

Review 28:Nicely renovated apartment with a great view of the Convent. Nice breakfast included in our rate and brought to our door. Exactly as pictured.

Review 29:Not keen on the cash deposit idea but no problems with it in reality.

Review 30:Helpfulness and welcome by Miguel; accessible free parking; comfortable apartment close to town centre; restaurant recommendations and welcome glass of port. Would happily return.

Review 31:Smallest shower recess in Portugal.

Review 32:Complimentary Kiss me quick cakes. Warm welcome. Good location able to walk everywhere. Well equipped apartment with a washing machine and iron.

Review 33:The apartment is brandnew in a recovered building and well equipped. We were offerd a very delicious breakfast with bread, cheese, ham up to marmelade. The owner is very nice and had some very good Tips for Dinner. We choosed Flattered in Tomar as we know it from Porto - thats highly recommanded too!

Review 34:It is a perfect alternative to a hotel or B&B and it's a very short walk to the center of the town. The only thing which was quite unusual was the deposit which we had to pay (which was however refunded the next day without any problems). There is nothing which you miss in this really nice apartment and the welcome was very friendly and helpful.

Review 35:The apartment was very clean, well equipped, excellent location (inside the historical zone of Tomar)! Excellent sound insulation from the outside, style and decoration inline with the recovered building. The breakfast was a delight, even on the Portuguese standards (amazing bread, and lots of variety)! Cannot say good enough! Will be coming back in the future!

We would highly recommend it to our friends and dearest ones. Definitely a topnotch choice!

Review 38:The apartment was located in a small and special town called Tomar. We are a family with 3 kids who are between 7 and18 years old. We all enjoyed this beautifull apartment which gives privacy for each bedroom. We could have a special memory for our first visit in Portugal with their warm welcome and very nice & clean apartment. Everything was just exellent!

Review 39:The helpfulness of the staff. The wonderful breakfast.

Review 40:walls are a little thin so it was a little noisy in the morning - but it was not a big problem
