Reviews for Eastwood at Provincetown
Review 1:I loved the location, close but not too close to Commercial St. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was wonderful as well, Byron was such a delight to meet and speak with!
Review 2:bed/bedding acceptable comfort, but no "wow" factor. No DVD player in unit, DVD player available only at front desk, (traditional business hours) was closed when we realized we would have liked to have had it. Complicated remote without any instructions was challenging for we "olders" to simply get the TV turned "ON".
Review 3:exceptionally clean. close to the action but distant enough for quiet. easy after hours check in. roomy unit well equipped.
Review 4:The hotel should have a couple of extra blankets beside the one is in the closet in case is cold, specially in the living room area where is the sofa bed. My friend had to sleep with her jacket on, as one blanket was not enough.
Review 5:I almost didn't have any interaction with the staff; they answered my questions over the phone before checking in, yet they didn't seem to care much in giving a good costumer service.
Review 6:We arrived after the office closing time of 5 pm and had great difficulty finding our room. The key was left outside the room but another room guest let us into the building to more easily search for the room.
Review 7:This was a good location and the room was great!
Review 8:Just a lack of people visiting this time of year. It is November but I think this could be a time of renewal for people looking to make life changes. And or looking to breath in a sense of who they are and who they might become.
Review 9:Friendly staff is important. With good interpersonal skills. Price is in our range and the upgrade is most generous. It is a place I would love to work. It is easy to find and walking distance to my favorite community. The artist capital of the world! Thank you for your hospitality.
Review 10:A bit cramped for 4 people, and mattress for the fold out sofa was a bit thin.
Review 11:Great location, nice room, a bit cramped for 4 people but more than acceptable, considering the reasonable rate. Friendly staff. I have stayed a few times before and will stay again in the future.
Review 12:nice and quiet
Review 13:little too far from the activities in town, didn't like that it was more of a time share than a hotel, no maid service and had to strip linens, etc.
Review 14:The studio - Room 33 I was given didn't look like the one pictured. There was road noise all hours from the open window in the living area by sleeping head. Voices carry early in the AM as it was by the parking area/office.
Review 15:I was able to book the day before for a 1 night stay. The rate was reasonable
Review 16:Nothing to dislike - even the foldaway bed was fine - a first for us!
Review 17:Very well equipped, very well sorted, spacious etc. Good routine for late arrivals; check-in works through normal office hours - better than Booking.com's description.
Review 18:Staff member 10am Monday 12th Oct not friendly and was particularly obnoxious to customer in front of me. Corners of room had dust/dirt balls Heater didn't work- would not allow changes to temp, stayed at 66 degrees- no answer when tried to call reception and no one attending reception when we went there.
Review 19:Bathroom very clean Very quiet location 20 min walk into town Lots of amenities
Review 20:Couldn't lock the main door from the inside (potential issue at night!)
Review 21:The space in the apartment Value for money Decent location Provision of a baby cot
Review 22:Easy walking distance from centre of Providencetown. Excellent facilities in the room - fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. Also great outdoor facilities - tennis court, hot tub, swimming pool
Review 23:The Murphy bed. I would have preferred a real thick bed with bock spring. Next time I'll choose a bigger unit.
Review 24:It had a full kitchen and full size refrigerator although space is tight, it was functional. Very clean. Very quiet, not too many people when we were there. Nobody at the office to check us in but our names were listed outside with the corresponding unit number. The key was outside the door in the box.
Review 25:The property was beautiful with a spacious leisure grounds, large pool, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Great location to stay with a nice short walk to town.
Review 26:The units were outdated and could use an upgrade.
Review 27:The unit we stayed in was large and clean. I realized I left shirts behind in the unit after I left and the staff was kind enough to mail them to my home address.
Review 28:Lobby is only staffed 9:30 to 5,9:30 to 1:30p.m.on Sunday. Consequently we never met anyone which was OK since we didn't have any questions.
Review 29:Nice outdoor pool and spa. Fully equipped kitchen.
Review 30:Nothing really - the pull down bed was a bit on the soft side for us and the Internet was variable
Review 31:Spacious well equipped room made self catering easy. Nice pool with jacuzzi and friendly staff and fellow guests, many of whom were return visitors
Review 32:there were no pillows in the bedroom and I didn't notice that in time to ask the front desk for pillows.
Review 33:Cozy place, pleasant walking distance from town center location, and swift checking in and out. Because I had a short overnight stay spending as little time possible checking in and out allowed me more time to visit the town and take care of the other things I needed to do. The staff was helpful and tried to accommodate my needs.
Review 34:This was by far better than a hotel. Having the space and being so close to everything was key and made the night perfect. The shuttle that comes by every half an hour was such a bonus.
Review 35:This is a self catering accomodation, no cleaning/bed sheet changing is provided by the hotel. In case of need the guests take care of everything themselves
Review 36:Nothing, We enjoyed the Eastwood
Review 37:The people that we met were so friendly. Some of them have been going there for vacation for over twenty years. We so enjoyed the time we spent at Eastwood and will return again for next years vacation.
Review 38:The pull out sofa bed in our unit was uncomfortable.
Review 39:The location was great for us. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough ro enjoy whenever you want to. The sraff was very friendly. Our second year staying here.
Review 40:Booked a studio got upgraded to a one bed thought room was nice would definitely stay here again and recommend to others liked that I could book for a single night .
Review 41:This resort can boast friendly people surrounded by many amenities in a small time-share resort. Very comfortable studio with all kitchen necessities. Even the murphy bed was comfortable!
Review 42:This was our first time staying there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a lot for kids to do. Pool, Game room, Basketball,Tennis Courts, swings... Rooms were clean and spacious. Great place to stay for the week. Full Kitchen too !!!!!!
Review 43:The only slight down-side is that it was about a mile from the center of town. We didn't mind the walk, but some people might. We even walked home at one AM without any issues.
Review 44:We were happily surprised by the Eastwood. We didn't spend much time there, but it was clean, very spacious. It's hard to find a hotel that doesn't have a 2 night minimum during summer. The one bedroom units we rented were true one bedroom units - a big bedroom, large kitchen area and living room, and 2 bathrooms (one full, one half)
Review 45:The check out time should be later. You cant check in until after 4pm and you have to check out early. We spent 1 night there and spent over $200 for not even 20 hours there.
Review 46:A little far from the town center but the shuttle runs frequently
Review 47:Was very good value for 2 beds, livingroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dishwasher, etc. Cabinets nicely stocked. Nice swimmingpool, friendly staff, extremely clean, great for small group
Review 48:Staff only on duty daily 9-5. Made checking in and out difficult with only an hour window for each. Check out time was 10am...only an hour, same for check in,4pm...only an hour window of time.
Review 49:Great location, only 1 mile from center of town. Clean well maintained.
Review 50:The staff was fantastic! I had 3 minor problems right off the bat and they fixed them immediately!!!!! The grounds and facilities were very nice. Good location, easy access to beaches and downtown.
Review 51:Wifi, was a bad signal. I wish iron was in the room, and someone was available in the office at all times.
Review 52:Great bang for your buck. Location not bad. A little further from town than I would have liked but still bit impossible to walk and shuttle available. Friendly, clean and will definitely come back
Review 53:The staff was very helpful. I have stayed here 3 times in the last month. I always arrived late and left early. The staff took care of everything for me.
Review 54:Parking was not terrific.
Review 55:The unit was spacious and clean. The location was perfect for a day in town or a day at the beach being minutes away. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and glasses, coffee maker and coffee, dishwasher, full sized fridge with top freezer. WiFi was a good and the living area comfortable. Great value!
Review 56:Wonderful hotel with full facilities. Perhaps a little far from main drag of Provincetown but otherwise our only regret was not staying one night longer as Provincetown is marvellous.
Review 57:Well, I really am not a complainer but..... the man who checked us in was really not very friendly. I felt like I was bothering him and he was a bit curt when I asked questions. I mean everyone is entitled to a bad day....right?? When we were leaving though, there was a very personable woman who was quite pleasant.........she made up for his poor disposition.
Review 58:The room was very clean and comfortable. We were totally pleased with the accommodations. There is a bus that does stop out front but instead of waiting we walked the mile down to the center of town. We also took the pedi cab.... We would definitely stay here again.
Review 59:The inability to extend my stay longer.
Review 60:The easy access to town & ability to easily transition to relax by a pool & jacuzzi within a short distance.
Review 61:The room was comfortable and sufficient. We found the bed to be comfortable. It is a bit of a walk to the action, but easily doable. We will be back!
Review 62:Our unit was close to the front, so was on the main walkway witb some noise and light at night.
Review 63:P town is awesome, so the hotel was almost secondary to our stay. The hotel was older but well maintained with a homey feel. The unit had everything you need, and the murphy bed surprisingly comfortable.
Review 64:I liked everything
Review 65:I usually try to stay here when visiting Provincetown because of its resonable prices, good location and clean and comfortable units and grounds. You can't go wrong with this place.
Review 66:The mattress in our studio was very soft, and was a problem for us, as we have back problems. For those who like soft mattresses it isn't a problem. The next time we will bring our adjustable sleeping pads to make the mattress surface harder.
Review 67:The clubhouse was a welcomed offer, and it was a great indoor place to play pool, play games, and relax in during the evenings. Everything was spelled out and explained clearly. The location of our studio was on the ground floor near the pool. We were very pleased that we didn't have to climb stairs and the parking was near our studio.
Review 68:The studio apt was in need of an ottaman for the 2 chairs for more comfort.
Review 69:The size of the studio and large flat screen tv. The site manager was so friendly and knowledgeable..
Review 70:The water in the hot tub was very hot so I was not able to use it.
Review 71:We liked the location which was a little way away from the action of the town center. The efficiency suite had everything we could ask for.
Review 72:The center of town is far for a walk, need to drive there (and thus pay for parking). Hotel Reception was closed in the evening (when we arrived). We got ground floor unit which did not have a regular door, only glass sliding doors. Thus, you don't have proper privacy or heat/sound insulation. We heard each movement of the visitors on the upper floor (the ceiling is also thin). The AC unit in the bedroom was noisy and whenever it started working, we couldnt hear TV.
Review 73:Large, clean suite, two rest rooms, fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher). Swimming pool. Walking distance from the beach. Close to road 6.
Review 74:While only a short car ride to Ptown, it was a mile walk. While we enjoy walking, Ptown/commercial/ center street are small streets and meant for walking. We stayed on a Sunday and could not get ahold of staff with our questions prior to checkout.
Review 75:My wife and I loved the facility overall. There was a pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, and clubhouse. A staff member showed us to our unit and was very nice.
Review 76:It was just a little farther out of town than I like, and the office hours are very limited.
Review 77:The room was clean, well appointed, and the property was pretty and well maintained
Review 78:I was lovely to be able to make tea and do washing at this accommodation as we could not at our stays over a a few weeks. We could walk to restaurants and the bay which - about a ten minute.
Review 79:The tv in living room was unplugged and disconnected so unable to use, but children watched the one in bedroom. Children said teh sleeper sofa not the most comfortable; but said still go back there again.
Review 80:The fully stocked kitchen and hot tubs and friendly welcoming staff all great. clubhouse with table tennis, pool, foosball and nicely landscaped grounds. Bed in bedroom very nice and 1 1/2 baths a plus in the 1 br lodging.
Review 81:After running in the Cape Cod Ragnar event 4 of us checked in atEastwood. The gentleman (term loosely used) that registered us was rudeand abrupt. They require you to fill out a card with your credit cardnumber, expiration date and v code. What for? &Quot;Just in case youforget something, we will mail it back to you and charge yourcard" I pointed out that pci compliance requires that all numbersbe encrypted and frowns upon keeping paper copies of written numbers...He didn't understand what I was saying and quite honestly, I wasexhausted. So I left that topic up to be discussed with his credit cardprovider. When we went to leave 2 hours later our battery had died onour van. We asked him if he could provide us a jump. &Quot; No."Could any of his staff? &Quot; No they don't have vehicles."Can you help us at all? &Quot;Feel free to ask anyone else for help!&Quot; We ended up asking the tile contractor working on the pool. Hehelped us out thank goodness.
Review 82:We were looking forward to having the pool especially for our little girl to play in and unfortunately it was out of action.it would have been nice to know this before booking as this was a reason for booking here.
Review 83:Self catering was great.
Review 84:Location on edge of town Friendly and very helpful Fully equipped self catering Slow Walk into town via beach at low tide or charming Commercial Street Free parking
Review 85:Oversensitive smoke alarm went off while cooking - there should be a vent for the oven or a way to disable it. Fortunately the handyman was able to drop by and stop it.
Review 86:So convenient, and can't beat the price (especially for having a kitchen)... Would definitely return!
Review 87:I didn't have a bad experience..just need to take your car into town and parking can be challenging depending on time of year that you travel.
Review 88:Pool, 2 Jacuzzsi, full kitchen, clean
Review 89:Under construction & distance from town
Review 90:It fit the bill but wasn't stellar for slightly off season. I could see it being far more fun in season. The pull out sofa isn't ideal in the levelor blinded sliding glass door living room...
Review 91:The internet/wifi was very slow, and noise (folks just talking) could be heard through walls, could just imagine if the windows were open.
Review 92:The two bathrooms were a plus, the kitchen made us feel at home (even though it is a little dated)
Review 93:loud heating unit blinds do not block porch lights from entering room wifi is not strong enough for even simple emailing location is a bit far from center of town
Review 94:decent value front desk was friendly
Review 95:The wifi was poor and I had to check out early so I could move to another hotel with better wifi to do work.
Review 96:The studio was very pleasant and comfortable. The kitchen was a pleasure.
Review 97:The wifi was experiencing serious problems and was very frustrating, esp. since I had planned to catch up with work while I was there. I went to the library and all was well, but it was frustrating and the staff on the day I checked in was apparently unaware of the problem.
Review 98:Having a one-bedroom with separate, modern kitchen.
Review 99:I was well cared for by the resident caretaker. He brought me blankets and candle before the snow hit and checked on me during the power outage. He dug out my car and was just a pleasure. The room and kitchen met all my needs.
Review 100:- Wifi was not reliable, which we depended on due to the poor cell (tmobile) signal. - No overnight staff, which was not an issue but could potentially be.
Review 101:- Lots of space for the price, with a living room, stocked kitchen, 1.5 baths and a bedroom. - Nice welcome package with a map, things to do and information on sights to see.
Review 102:I didn't like the fact it was a pull-down bed, and took up most of the space.
Review 103:The rooms are nice, and it's convenient to have a kitchen. The Club House with a pool table is also enjoyable.
Review 104:No complaints or dissatisfaction.
Review 105:Nicely maintained property with studio and one-bedroom apartments. Lovely residential neighborhood about of mile from the center of Provincetown.
Review 106:only decaf for coffee maker, somewhat of a distance from center of town
Review 107:Nice size, two TV's and bathrooms, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, friendly staff, nice place overall
Review 108:Poor insulation from noise of other guests above us and outside. Poor Wifi strength. Average quality of sheets and blankets/comforters.
Review 109:Spacious and clean accommodations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Excellent price for off-season stay.
Review 110:I can't think of anything. Honestly.
Review 111:Loved the spacious apartment. Plenty of room to move. Having the kitchen was so convenient. The outdoor hot tub was great to come home to. Can't beat the mid-winter price.
Review 112:Slow WiFi, but hey, its free!
Review 113:Very roomy, great value. Super friendly staff, will be back for sure. Thank you for making our New Year's even better!
Review 114:The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The owners were so very friendly and helpful. We were there just after Christmas, and the value was fantastic. Close to town, peaceful...... Couldn't ask for much more!
Review 115:It is a bit of a walk to town but it was worth it! Only real complaint is that we had issues with the wifi
Review 116:The apartment was the perfect size for 2 people and the customer service was amazing and so welcoming. Didn't get to use the pool but it was beautiful. Everything was clean and wonderful.
Review 117:Stayed here because of high rating from previous travelers. They were right! Would stay there again and recommend to others. Best value for the money in P-town!
Review 118:My only discomfort was the noise above my head; I was in a first floor unit, and the overhead footsteps were unbuffered by any sound proofing. As a result I couldn't fall asleep until the upstairs tenants retired.
Review 119:I liked the ambience, amenities and location. Also, the off-season rate afforded me the very best bang for my buck.
Review 120:Better room description. I was not expecting a Murphy Bed. Next time we stay here we will take the one bedroom instead of the studio.
Review 121:Room seemed recently updated with very decent quality furniture, kitchen, towels, bedding, flat screen TV. Everything was in tip top shape. Very nice and knowledgeable front office staff. Very well kept and landscaped grounds. We will definitely stay here again.
Review 122:Only one thing, our garbage was not taken out throughout our 4 days so it piled up and we weren't sure where we were supposed to bring it.
Review 123:The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The pool was open early so I got to do my laps before even having breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised by the well equipped kitchen. We had our sons who were camping not far away come over for breakfast and we all felt at home in our suite.
Review 124:Gentleman in charge knew nothing about time share and a bit arrogant. I was disappointed.
Review 125:Location Kitchen Two bathrooms Two TV sets Quiet atmosphere Close to town
Review 126:older televisions. Not really an issue since very little time was spent actually in the room
Review 127:Check out/in was a breeze. They had our room ready for early check-in.
Review 128:It's a substantial walk to the city center, though it's a real short drive / cab, and the WiFi was very so-so.
Review 129:Clean facilities, attractive interior, relatively modern and well appointed kitchen.
Review 130:The tile floors were not really cleaned from prior guests.
Review 131:I really felt comfortable and was impressed with the space of the unit and stocking of the kitchen amenities. It was a comfortable place to stay.
