Reviews for Inn at Jackson
Review 1:Wish the pillows were a bit plumper; they resembled lumpy pancakes! Also, cable TV reception was snowy.
Review 2:Innkeeper was very friendly and made us feel like that was our home away from home. Food was also very good, as well as the breakfast server.
Review 3:Not sure I ever saw the Inn Keeper. Landscaping work being done after dark (after 9:00pm)
Review 4:Great location to area attractions. Good Breakfast. Clean.
Review 5:I cant say that there was anything we didn't like.
Review 6:Beautiful, quaint Inn. Homemade cookies and scones. Outside Jacuzzi was wonderful. Quaint living room with large fireplace and made to order banana walnut pancakes for breakfast. Definitely will go back!
Review 7:We arrived around 5pm and found a typed welcome note, the key to our room and the receipt at the desk. Not a problem. I called the innkeeper's cell phone number then texted to say we had arrived and got no reply. We had dinner and returned to an empty place. Maybe the innkeeper was there, maybe not... We decided to go in the hot tub but there weren't any towels in the designated place. We called and texted Chris to ask where we might find some extra towels. She sent a short and sweet text letting us know they'd be at the desk. Still no Innkeeper. Breakfast was okay. The cooked breakfast was alright, the bacon didn't seem to be freshly cooked. A bit dry. The garnishes were dry and looked like they had been cut the day before. Butter, jelly, sugar packets and individual cereal boxes cheapen the experience. Being asked if we would like real or artificial maple syrup for I the pancakes was unusual. The server was cheerful and did a good job with our morning meal. I am not a fan of artificial plants and flowers. I think the place would look much better without them or maybe replace them with newer, better quality choices. Our room could use some refreshing. The ceiling light fixture was broken, the roman blind backing was shredding and hung down, drapes would be nice - the morning light might come earlier than you'd like. The bed was very soft, not my preference but some might like that. This place has a lot of potential. I hope the people in charge take the review constructively. My intention is not to deter potential guests. Standards and preferences vary.
Review 8:We stayed in the John Paul Jones room - # 7. The location is great! Lots to do in the surrounding areas, such as hiking, shopping, dining. The building is spacious as was our room. Pleasant views from windows. Wifi worked well. Hot tub was nice though could use better lighting (instead of flood lights) or something to give the deck more privacy from the neighbor at the bottom of the hill. Snacks, coffee and tea around the clock. Gas fireplace made the room cozy.
Review 9:In our room the shower curtain needs some attention and there were some signs of wear and tear (ie the staining on the wooden floor is worn out) -nothing a small amount of time and effort cannot resolve
Review 10:Lovely old traditional house in a secluded yet central location to explore the surrounding area-the breakfast staff were especially welcoming and friendly-a great start to the day. If we ever visit that area again we would definately stay at The Inn at Jackson and would recommend others do so!!!
Review 11:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 28:The staff was very friendly, the room cozy and comfy, the breakfast delicious. Beautiful views from the dining room. Fires in every room. Loved it!
Review 29:I called and left a message for someone to call me back to make a reservation...no call back. Had to book on line where all the room options were not available even though the Inn was not full and other options were open. Not enough traveling options...There is no option for traveling 'Mother & Daughter'
Review 30:Everything...the room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable, and the staff was extreamly helpful and attentive.
Review 31:wondeful fireplace in the common room with comfy leather chairs. can control heat in your room. full breakfast is really yummy! hot cocoa and cookies waiting for you at the end of day.
Review 32:Arriving at Inn and being completely alone! No-one to welcome us - just a key left in an envelope with the message 'see you at breakfast'! We made the effort to lock the doors at night (but evidently it's ok to leave them unlocked!). Just before bedtime, our smoke alarm sounded 'low battery' and kept on all night - so, thinking there was no-one to help us, we made the decision to move ourselves into another room that was open. We later found that the manageress was in her rooms at the back, but she never came to find us to make sure all was ok . If we had known, we would not have felt so unnerved at being alone in a strange house, and she could have sorted the alarm battery and allowed us to keep our original (and better) room. Found it all quite strange - they are clearly very laid back in Jackson!
Review 33:Traditional New England styling, comfy bed, location near White Mountains, log fires. Good breakfast.
Review 34:We stayed in Rm 10, room decoration & furnitures are not so good. The bed mattress is very uncomfortable, bed made funny noise whenever we turned, shower cubicle is small, dated & old fashion. The room next to the reception looks much better. We booked this place 5 months ago, very disappointed to have Rm 10. Lastly our bed was not made in the morning.
Review 35:We liked the location, atmosphere, the whole ground floor of the Inn, good breakfast and the staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay in this Inn again but not in the same room.
Review 36:Delicious breakfasts!, Ambience - especially log fires! Good size room, excellent standard of cleanliness. Jackson itself was idylic, and the Pumpkin People displays in the village and surrounding countryside unique! Our favourite stay on our recent tour of New England
Review 37:Nothing.
Review 38:The friendly staff and the character of the place. The home cooked breakfasts were delicious. We only stayed for 1 night but wished we had had a longer visit.
Review 39:Because we booked late, we ended up in the smallest room in the Inn. It has a few small issues, but it was clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time outside the Inn and used it for sleeping for the most part. They do have a problem with a bear making a mess of the trash and parking lot. The owners must find a way to keep the trash secure. This is unpleasant and posses a danger to staff and visitors.
Review 40:The Inn at Jackson is a very well kept house. The ambiance is great. It is clean and well decorated. You feel like you are visiting friends when you stay there. Chris McGrath and her staff are great. The food is also great.
