Reviews for Coonamessett Inn
Review 1:Very quaint and elegant. The ambiance was wonderful and when it snowed, it was even better! Great food for a great value on the Sunday brunch. The rooms were spacious and the sitting area made it easy to have others in our party relax together.
Review 2:Even though it was on the chilly side, it was still a bit humid. The temp controls did not work, so we slept with the windows open. Not horrible, but it could have been if it had rained. There was a window unit in the closet, but we weren't sure about using it.
Review 3:Clean always come first with me and they definitely are first rate. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The room is large and comfortable. Just a lovely experience.
Review 4:The rooms are old. Our sink and tub were extremely slow draining. When you finish your shower, the water is up over your ankles.
Review 5:The property is a lovely spot! The staff was accommodating and friendly.
Review 6:The person greeting me in the lobby upon arrival was nice enough but upon checking out, the woman receiving my keys gave no greeting & didn't bother to ask how our stay was, just a "do you need a receipt?" followed by yelling down the hallway to tell the housekeeper that the room is open. Won't keep me from returning, just thought it was a cold exchange for such a warm & cozy inn.
Review 7:Comfy, cozy suite that was nicely appointed, clean, and was decorated in beautiful Cape Cod style.
Review 8:NOTHING!
Review 9:Everything to include the ambiance, the beautiful suite overlooking Jones Pond, the friendly staff, the location and the buffet breakfast. We will be back soon.
Review 10:Stayed in Room 6. No view and right next to construction area. Although dining room is very nice and buffet was excellent, we were bothered by two flys as we ate.
Review 11:Room very clean and comfortable. Proximity to downtown Falmouth is excellent.
Review 12:The shower was outdated but luckily it was very clean
Review 13:Beautiful layover on our way to Martha's Vineyard! Wish we could have stayed longer. Very comfortable bed and it was so nice to have breakfast in the morning, which was included in my rate.
Review 14:The room was a little tired and could have done with an overall makeover - for instance one wardrobe door was about to fall off No facilities for hot drinks
Review 15:Convenient let us get on with our stay
Review 16:Could have used more counter space in the bathroom. At dinner the dining room was expensive and had an old-fashioned stuffy atmosphere. The breakfast was nice but atmosphere too quiet---could have used some cheery light music in the background.
Review 17:We had a nice big bedroom as well as a sitting room with a fridge. Lovely verandah in front of our room overlooking a pond. Lovely flowerbeds everywhere.
Review 18:Window air conditioning units extremely noisy. Kept me awake. Difficult bathroom door latch. Hard to slide. Door wouldn't stay shut.
Review 19:Nice sized room. Well appointed but old fashioned in keeping with the Cape.
Review 20:We liked our two room suite that backed up to a pond. The Adirondack chairs were a nice touch. The cocktails and breakfast were really good. We would stay there again!
Review 21:We spent too much money for what we "used" ( we were there less than 12 hours)!
Review 22:We were just "passing through" Falmouth on our way to Martha's Vineyard, so the location and staff/service were good...
Review 23:I hope next time I come to this place they will also make access to a pond they have. That would be just amazing.
Review 24:The restaurant they have in hotel is absolutely amazing. I ordered Cob. My wife - lobster. Just the b-e-s-t stuff I've ever had. Gave 7 out of 5.
Review 25:The atmosphere was a bit cold. The breakfast is not very "kid friendly". A pool would've been great.
Review 26:Location, walking distance from Main Street. Lots of space. Very cozy and chic
Review 27:WiFi did not work for half the time. Goose droppings all over the walkway which we identified to manager and was never cleaned up. Continental breakfast was poor with stale bagels and under ripe fruit. Whole place was run down and somewhat seedy.
Review 28:Location
Review 29:Not really bad. Rm. 12: Kingsize bed. I like a firmer bed, and this one seemed soft especially toward the edge. My wife LOVED the bed. Heavy traffic at drive entrance, hard to get out at commuter time AM and PM.
Review 30:Me: (Rm. 12) Having the little suite like "living room" separated from sleeping area. My wife: Loved the extensive foliage and flowers. We will be back for this reason alone.
Review 31:The continental breakfast was presented nicely but it could have had a bit more to offer. Bananas and maybe some gluten free cereal like chex.
Review 32:The location was awesome. The staff were friendly.
Review 33:The front desk needs to learn how to treat the guest , the lady there was so rude and unpleasant.
Review 34:the lobster at the restaurant is amazing you need to try it, location is not bad
Review 35:The layout was like a motel but built on a hillside with the parking in one or two central locations. Guests had to carry luggage along board walks/patios and up and down stairs to get to most rooms. There was one steep partial "path" of uneven asphalt for rolling luggage. The parking lot nearest my unit was full when I returned at 9.30 pm until a staff person moved her car to free up a spot. I rarely ever use porters, but would have here if on e had been available. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
Review 36:It was clean, had a free continental breakfast, and fairly good location about 10 blocks from the center of the old downtown part of Falmouth.
Review 37:Location does not accept bookings after 8pm, so we were unable to check in when we arrived at midnight. Bed too soft. Breakfast not that good.
Review 38:Location was good
Review 39:The bed and pillows were very comfy! It was just fine for one or two nights....quiet weekend.
