Reviews for Innsbruck Lodge
Review 1:Close enough to walk to town in a quiet neighborhood, homey and cozy atmosphere inside, nice to have small fridge and microwave in the room, very nice staff, and a great dog! We'll definitely return.
Review 2:older furnishings- needs updating.
Review 3:Great location, friendly staff, clean, wi-fi, great parking and close to restaurants. Also fun to see welcoming fireplace upon arrival.
Review 4:The steps of people above our unit were very loud. They need to put more insulation so that it will not disturb others like us that were in the bottom unit
Review 5:The dog enzo is very friendly. The owners are friendly
Review 6:Great location in the trees, with a short walk to the gondola and places to eat. Family run with the coolest dog ever(Enzo). I will definitely stay here again.
Review 7:The lower level rooms have no view, ours was very small compared to the others but it was all that was available so I really can't complain.
Review 8:The owners are great people, very hospitable. Village, village gondola, and shuttle services are just a few hundred yards walk.
Review 9:Can hear all the other residents stomping around. Wish they offered coffee every morning vs coffee machines that take up room in
Review 10:Location was nice. They set out lovely cakes on Christmas morning
Review 11:Accommodation in Mammoth Lakes is generally overpriced for the value you get - this is not specific to Innsbruck Lodge. Our apartment hosted 4 people and there were clearly not enough places to hang ones clothes (especially after skiing!). If 5 people stayed in the apartment it would really be crowded. It has the least space for 5 beds and a kitchen. Bath room can become chilly as it has no separate heating.
Review 12:Is close to restaurants but enough apart to be a quiet place. Owners are very friendly and accommodating - even served home-made cake on Christmas Day. Parking right in front of entrance. Clean. 5 min by car to Canyon Lodge station.
Review 13:Very nice and helpful owner/manager couple answered my many questions, like where to eat & what's the best place to rent ski's. At the end of our stay, after we checked out, we discovered our minivan battery had died overnight. They charged our battery for free & let us park our car at in their lot, while we went skiing for the day. That was way above and beyond my expectations. I'd stay there again without hesitation.
Review 14:The restaurant and lounge were closed. I was not informed until my non-refundable deposit was paid.
Review 15:Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was large and clean.
Review 16:We had to leave too soon...we wish we had more time to spend here.
Review 17:Convenient location to Mammoth village - walking distance. Amenities available - microwave, small fridge, glass wine glasses, mugs, plates, silverware, coffee maker. Quite, relaxing, beautiful view of the mountain. The owners were very courteous and friendly and their Labrador dog was adorable!
Review 18:Soundproofing is an unknown word. I could hear the footsteps and the talking from the room above us. Which is quite annoying if they wake up at 5am for example. Finally, I can't understand why hotels use the vacuum cleaners at 8.30am when some people love to wake up later in the morning.
Review 19:Centrally located. The room was very comfortable and clean. Furthermore, the owner was very helpful and provided to us plenty of useful information, which was great.
Review 20:My bathroom didn't have a shower curtain for some reason. There was a bar, but no curtain. I didn't notice this until morning, so I didn't tell anyone.
Review 21:I liked that it was a little away from the village so that it was quitter, but you could still walk. However, the walk had no sidewalks. The hotel was cute and the staff I encountered were nice.
Review 22:We wanted to open a window to allow some fresh air in but there is only a big sliding door which leads to a communal porch. We didn't feel living the sliding door open while sleeping. Its a pity that it was designed with a window.
Review 23:Location near entry to Yosemite. Austrian looking beautiful lodge. Nice host. Clean with cutlery and plates available so we could have a supper in the room
Review 24:Wifi is very spotty in some rooms. Cannot rely on using it. There is no way to regulate the temperature of the room. The owner's suggestion of just opening a window is not a safe thing to do for a ground floor room.
Review 25:A couple blocks removed from main drives, so quieter. Convenient to walk to restaurants at The Village at Mammoth.
Review 26:Nice balcony, but shared with 2 other rooms.
Review 27:Excellent location - 5-minute walk to the Village yet far enough away to be quiet. Be aware of the higher (8000' - thinner air) elevation. Friendly, second-generation hosts. Adequate king-sized room with a small bathroom. Many summer festivals. Check with Chamber of Commerce before booking if that is not your "thing". Book early!
Review 28:A great location to relax in summer as well as good situated after a visit to the Yosemite Park before driving on to Las Vegas. Nice clean facilities in a very calm surrounding. We enjoyed our good night of rest there and enlenghtened our stay with another night. Very friendly hosting family giving some personal insights and tips to do in and around Mammoth Lakes.
Review 29:We could not get the cable television to work. There were two different instructions and two different numbers for channels. When we called the front desk, the lady owner could not help us, and her husband was not available. I tried everything the directions said to do, but no luck. The other thing that could be improved is the heat light in the bathroom. You cannot turn the light off w/o the heater coming on. It was quite warm and the only way to get my hair dry was to put a fan (provided) in front of the bathroom door.
Review 30:The location was perfect and the owners were delightful. You really feel like your in Germany. It is so clean and comfortable, unfortunately, we were only there one night so did not get to take in all that Mammoth has to offer.
Review 31:Had to drag suitcase up stairs- hard for older or handicapped persons. Room warm in August - no a/c, just fan.
Review 32:Owners were very friendly & helpful. Room very clean & good location within walking distance of town.
Review 33:I was downstairs and it was very noisy above me. When it wasn't the guests, it was the noisy housekeepers talking their heads off.
Review 34:Bed was comfy but i couldn't sleep. Too noisy. I got the last room so I couldn't change it.
Review 35:Walls were a little thin. We were making noise and were told politely to keep it down.
Review 36:Felt like we were in a ski lodge in Austria. Would be great for families.
Review 37:There wasn't any air circulating. We slept with the window wide open. Booked queen ended up with two doubles.
Review 38:The room was very clean and the quality of the towels was great. The owner was charming.
Review 39:Be aware that throughout Mammoth Lakes, internet can be weak or spotty (NOT the fault of the lodge). Also, the refrigerator woke us up as it cycled on and off. When we stay in the future, we'll unplug it.
Review 40:The owner who checked us in is very helpful and friendly. She provided many restaurant recommendations, with a variety of price ranges, within walking distance. Plus, she pointed out several good hiking areas since we were interested in that. Five minute walk to The Village area on Minaret Road.
Review 41:It is a little overpriced.
Review 42:The staff is very kind and helpful. The place is nice, and the location is good and beautiful too. The rooms were clean, and the wifi worked properly.
Review 43:The hosts were so kind and accommodating - long story short, they made it possible for me to transition smoothly from a backpacking trip to a business trip. Location is great- short walk to the Village, but far enough that you can feel peaceful and removed from the touristy mayhem that takes place there. Very nice, comfortable rooms.
Review 44:It was a cute little lodge, the lodge itself was very cute tucked in the trees. Very "cabinesque so if you like that you will love it! The rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) was small and a bit cramped but for me I was fine (I enjoyed it, and expected that from the beginning) and the lodge itself made up for it. Friendly staff as well!
Review 45:Price was high for a small room during off season.
Review 46:The person who checked us in (I think she was one of the owners) was very nice and helpful with local attractions, etc. Room was tight (two queen beds and little else) but comfortable.
Review 47:+owners were very polite and welcoming +we got the small room but it was very comfortable and ideal for a couple for a nights rest. + room was clean and queen size bed was comfortable + towels were fluffy and showers got hot fast and did not run out of hot water + our room did not include breakfast but there was a fridge, microwave, and 2 plates as well as silverware that was convenient for us to use when we brought our own food or leftovers from eating out + our room also had a flat screen tv and free wifi that worked great with no problems + location is good. Literally less than 5 minute walk to the village which has restaurants and places to shop at. About 10 minute drive to mammoth mountain adventure center if you plan on going there to take the lifts for mountain biking in the summer or to take the shuttle to devil's post pile, rainbow falls, and minaret falls. About 3 hours away from Yosemite valley. It is a 45 minutes drive to Yosemite national forest to enter from I believe the eastern side through Tioga rd. and then 2 hours drive through the forest to get to Yosemite valley to see el capitan, half dome, the waterfalls, etc. Thought this was bad for us since we originally planned on getting to Yosemite valley quickly but there were many other places to see and stop at with less people like giant sequoias, various lakes, and some domes along the way to Yosemite valley. +overall, great experience and stay!
Review 48:No AC, which ended up being fine because the trees surrounding the hotel kept it nice and cool. The WIFI was a little spotty.
Review 49:Great location, very quiet, balcony, spacious rooms, great amenities.
Review 50:Our hosts were most helpful in giving us advice about Mammoth Lakes. The Lodge is in a very tranquil part of Mammoth Lakes with plenty of eateries within walking distance.
Review 51:The room was dark. View of wall stacked with logs. 2nd window overlooking neighbours window closed blinds & a broken fence.
Review 52:Good location. 5 minute walk to main street\shops and restaurants.
Review 53:Older building, we were in basement with central heat. The rooms were on the cooler side. Internet was very, very slow. TV didn't want to work.
Review 54:Homey atmosphere, fireplace in lobby, books to read, near businesses
Review 55:Room equipped with coffee maker, microwave & fridge with plates and cutlery too if you need it! Comfortable and cosy room. Great location - Twin Lakes is worth a visit and handy also for June & Mono Lakes
Review 56:Place smelt of dogs. We asked for a one bedded room and were given two beds making the room very crowded and then found a note on the bed if we used both beds we would pay extra. small bathroom
Review 57:Not a lot
Review 58:No real bad experience except the room had that "old" smell. It's an old bldg. after all. We were given an upgraded room due to the stairs issue and were told not to use the kitchen facilities in the room. VERY small shower.
Review 59:My 81 yr. old. husband was having difficulty managing the two flights of stairs to our room downstairs. (no handrails in parts). The staff gave us a room on the main floor for his safety. Excellent hot water. Cute décor. Nice registration staff. Good TV.
Review 60:The Innsbruck Lodge was very well kept. The room had plenty of supplies, unlike most places that barely give you enough. There was a slide out door where you could sit outside and have coffee. The rooms were inside the lobby, almost like bedrooms in a house, so you needed to be quiet and courteous of the other guests, but that wasn't a problem. The lobby was nice and cozy with a sitting area. The person checking us in was nice and helpful in explaining the area to us. It's beautiful in Mammoth Lakes.
Review 61:The rooms are split level. I was on the lower floor. My view was a concrete wall two feet outside my window. It gave me a claustrophobic feeling.basic
Review 62:The bathroom was cold, because the window doesn't close properly, Wi-Fi was a bit slow in the evening.
Review 63:Super friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, good location!
Review 64:Room 14. Owners told us it was a small room but it is very small, can hardly get out of bed on one side. Also the sink is in the bedroom, not the bathroom. Also personally don't like artificial plastic flowers, would rather have none. other rooms looked much nicer. But if you're just looking for a decent place to stay, in good location, this would suffice.Reviewers spoke of breakfast, coffee, we never saw any food or coffee whatsoever.
Review 65:The price of the room, only $115 on week before Christmas, really inexpensive for Mammoth that time of year.
Review 66:We had a recurring sewer smell from the one bathroom, which seemed to disappear when we ran the water and flushed the toilet. But we were on the very bottom floor, so this might be common in other places too up there due to the freezing temperatures. It wasn't too much of a problem because we knew what to do,.
Review 67:It's hard to find an affordable place to have enough room for 3 kids to sleep in their own beds If you need that, you get that here in a family room. Kitchen area great, 2 bathrooms in room which was awesome. Dependable appliances and heating also. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend to all.
Review 68:Nobody there (at all) upon arrival. Nobody. Not even another guest. It was a bit unnerving. The owners returned a few hours later. As we were leaving that evening to go have dinner, the owner made a comment about someone smoking. We got the impression that she thought it was us (we have never smoked in our lives), making us uncomfortable after that (other guests had checked in by then). The owners live above the guest rooms and every time that they would move the walls and floor would crack so loud that it would wake the heaviest sleeper. I finally fell asleep around 5:30 am, but was awoken by the loud talk, heavy footsteps and somebody hammering nails at 7:15. The hammering only lasted about 2 minutes but it was enough to realize that our peaceful morning was not a concern. I wont be back.
Review 69:The room was well appointed with most of the comforts of home. There was a full kitchen with table and seating for four. It was decorated nicely. The lodge was within walking distance of Mammoth Village where there is a good variety of shops and restaurants.
Review 70:Refrigerator was noisy at night.
Review 71:Owner was very pleasant. Nice decorative touches. Great location. Little extras in the room; eg. Wine glasses and an opener.
Review 72:Very clean and a short walk to the village They quickly replaced the work table that collapsed when I sat about 10 pounds of gear on it. The least expensive furniture is not always the most economical furniture.
Review 73:Outdated room except for the TV. Far from Yosemite but that's our mistake! Need to better check on booking.com!
Review 74:Full kitchen Big room Parking in front Fits the landscape Cleaness Late checkin
Review 75:noisy upstairs neighbors. I suggest putting young wild people on lower level. Mostly it was just stomping and tromping.
Review 76:warm and inviting. Loved "Birthday Dog" Owners were exceptionally nice.
Review 77:Bed was very comfy and Wifi signal was excellent. Well located within walking distance to town and the garden by the entrance was perfect for having breakfast outside.
Review 78:If I had been on the second floor I probably would have given 5 stars rather than 4. As no second floor unit was available I got to listen to the creaking floors overhead when anyone upstairs walked around. Maybe that noise wouldn't bother everyone, but I'm sensitive to it.
Review 79:The site is an easy walk to the village. The room included a full kitchen with all the utensils I would ever need, and the bed was comfortable. The owner is very accommodating and was nice enough to store some goods I didn't want to leave in my car (for bears) while I was backpacking.
Review 80:Shower nozzle was not cotrollable and sprayed all over. Both faucets, cold and hot , were too tight and not operated well. Those should be replaced with new ones. The lodge owner should have noticed those problems during daily check.
Review 81:I can see where parking might be an issue in the winter with snow--but then there has not been much of that lately anyway.
Review 82:Nice house keeping room which we will use more next time. Excellent location. Owners and dog always pleasant
Review 83:staff was very nice,we showed up earlier and they didn't have a problem with us checking in earlier, they also gave us some good spots to check out while in town. will definitely stay there again.
Review 84:That we only stayed one night. Next time better.
Review 85:Very helpful lady! Helped us more then we asked! Could not have asked for a better place. Fit our traveling plans perfect. Our 4 older children loved the location and hotel!
Review 86:The view
Review 87:Bed was too springy.
Review 88:Great location and would stay again.
Review 89:The bathroom floor wasa little cold.
Review 90:Friendly me helpful owners, excellent location and the beds were extremely comfortable!
Review 91:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 92:I loved everything about it! There is a very very good chance I will be staying here again!
Review 93:Location and comfort of the beds. New Year's Day "German Cakes" were a delicious treat.
Review 94:Poor pillows! Dusty carpets! Small rooms!
Review 95:Excellent location , friendly staff, Walking distance to gondola & the village
Review 96:They were able to check us in early, and the rooms were large but very cozy and cute. The location is great too!
Review 97:Very cozy feeling and very good amenities. A lot of fresh air!
Review 98:No complaints

Review 100:A bit off the main drag but still convenient to everything in Mammoth Lakes.
Review 101:A beautiful Austrian style lodge with friendly and helpful owners.
Review 102:The Omer's of the lodge frendly
Review 103:Very pleasant stay. Nice greeting by staff. Small but clean comfortable room.
Review 104:Nothing.
