Reviews for Nordic Village Resort

Review 1:Studio Innsbrook 79B. Bathroom dated. Shower stall small and dark. Small table needed next to micro/coffeemaker in order to not have to fumble making coffee. Also large window with blind that separates jacuzzi and sitting room was weird. Would rebook for another vacation, but would consider two bedroom since my kids found sofa bed uncomfortable.

Review 2:Loved the outdoor heated pool and spa. Game room nice. Property well maintained. Reservation staff very pleasant and accommodating.

Review 3:The pull out sofa was less than we expected. Very thin and small.

Review 4:Well beyond our expectations! The pools and jacuzzis were fantastic. The rooms were cozy and clean. Spacious. There was even a washer and dryer.

Review 5:This time we stayed there and rented a penthouse we were very disappointed although the view was great the bathtub had mold blowing out of the Jets and there was dirty rags from the made on the bed we had to get a room switched and they also comped us for the night which was great I hate to write something bad about this place because we come many times a year and we love it but I would never recommend renting one of the penthouses

Review 6:We have stayed at Nordic village many times we've always rented a one bedroom condo and they are always wonderful and clean and have everything we need But......

Review 7:Cleaning people going into your room after you tell them your room is all set for the day ,,, there is NO EXCUSE for that !!!

Review 8:Location is great but I feel the rooms could be more updated ..

Review 9:The kitchenette in the Penthouse suite is just a microwave and mini-fridge.

Review 10:The view was incredible and the location is great. Fairly new TV and very comfortable room.

Review 11:We had to leave.

Review 12:Nordic village provides full service when it comes to our stay. We have stayed there many times and look to stay again. Their maintenance is also superior and over the years they continue to provide quality accommodations.

Review 13:The out door Jacuzzi wasn't working properly. The bathrooms in the pool area were dirty. The heat in the front bedroom by the door wasn't parki,g at all and it was cold

Review 14:Have great family memories a Nordick Village

Review 15:the only bad thing and it really isnt bad, was that the condo around the corner from us, obviously did not like the light from our door shining into the window, so they unscrewed the light bulb at first, then they took the bulb out all together. Which I understand it may have been shining in but, if we kept it off, then we would be coming back into the condo in the dark and it was a little icy so we had to keep it on until we returned back in the night time. other than that great time

Review 16:loved the location, love the adult outdoor hot tub, there was nothing wrong with Nordic Village at all. will gladly stay there again. Matter of fact planning a girls weekend and Nordic Village is where we will stay.

Review 17:No tea in the room (lots of coffee, though). One light fixture didn't work when we arrived, and even after fixing it the lighting was dim for my taste. Air compressor for the Jacuzzi was in the bathroom and was very loud.

Review 18:Room size and amenities were nice: Fireplace, Jacuzzi, kitchenette, nice coffee maker. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful view out the back: one whole wall was glass window / sliding door.

Review 19:Some wear and tear on the place impacted our overall impressions - for example, plumbing issues and a lack of adequate supplies (trash bags and dishwasher detergent)

Review 20:Location was good and basic layout and amenities within the unit were nice.

Review 21:The room had numerous burn holes in the carpet, Windows didn't close properly allowing a cold draft, the dishwasher didn't drain, light fixtures were full of dust, the pullout couch mattress was very thin and uncomfortable, bathroom sink leaked, tub drained very slowly.

Review 22:The grounds were beautiful and a great location.

Review 23:I only had two small complaints. The grate at the entryway of the main door was loose and a hazard when entering the building. And a couple of the outlets in the room did not work.

Review 24:The room was clean, it had everything we needed. The scenery was great and we were sad to checkout.

Review 25:The only thing we don't like is how easy it is to hear your neighbors.

Review 26:The location is fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. It is wonderful having a well equipped kitchen and a fireplace to come home to after skiing all day.

Review 27:I just noticed some of the outside of buildings are being let go an I'm hoping this will be repaired. This is the best place round for your money

Review 28:We've stayed several times on this property an will probably stay next yr as well, my kids love the pool an hot tub as well as the jacuzzi. Unfortunely the weather was horrible but I've recommended this place an also show pics to people how great this place is.

Review 29:This sure sounded like a nice place to sneak away for a noght with my girlfriend. It was not. The place is a multi building timeshare "resort" with a few extra spaces they rent by the night. Poor finishes and furniture and the room at fair condition at best. Great for a family to come stay after a day on the slopes amd get some rest. Not somewhere we wanted to hang out or spend a quiet night. Walls super thin and we could hear eveything above and beside us in other units.

Review 30:No outdoor jacuzzi working. Outdoor pool was colder than usual. No frying pan, or spatula in unit. Nor were there enough bed linens for pullout couch. We've stayed in many, many different units over the last several years, and while this one was super clean the beds were unbearably uncomfortable, even for the kiddos. That was disappointing. That is why we gave a lower score for value.

Review 31:The game room was so festive, but we missed seeing Santa. The indoor pool was finally warm to swim in. The unit was very clean.

Review 32:I LOVED everything! The Views were spectacular! The apartment was so clean and comfortable. The fireplace, the balcony the kitchen, Jacuzzi in the bathroom! Just wonderful!!

Review 33:outside hot tub had a lot of mold and the pool area was not clean. The unit I was in had a broken freezer. A late check in above us kept us up till after 2a.m. with running children. I have been staying there for over 20 years and this was the first time with the noise issue.

Review 34:Location and amenities. The size of the unit and the value. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 35:The room was poorly cleaned with human hair still on the bathroom counter and drink rings on the furniture. The family above us was extremely noisy and made sleep difficult.

Review 36:The mountain views as always were excellent.

Review 37:My husband and I went for s quiet getaway inky to be horrified by this stay. No staff on site. Very load parties both Friday and Saturday night requiring police prescence. When we checked out staff was very much aware of the situation and only condolence was that owner would be fined $1500 when only my husband and I and another couple on to of three story was truly inconvencied this is a horrible establishment!!

Review 38:jucuzzi and gas stove in rioom

Review 39:Tub would not drain. Grout needs updating. ...AND could not stay connected to internet!!!

Review 40:Condo we stayed in was laid out well and bed comfortable. Nice and clean.

Review 41:Couldn't get the wi-fi to work, but not a major issue.

Review 42:Nordic village is always a great place to stay. I paid about $300 less going through booking.com than going through Nordic Village directly.

Review 43:The pools are very cloudy . The rooms are dated. The cleaning of the rooms could be better. We did not have breakfast included.

Review 44:They some nice things to do here.

Review 45:We had a beautiful penthouse suite with a jacuzzi and fireplace, and a gorgeous view from the balcony. The pools and hot tubs were nice and the staff was friendly. It was very quiet and serene. We hardly wanted to leave the resort, it was the perfect getaway we were looking for!

Review 46:5 th year going last year and this not so clean Also asked for detergent for dishes in sink. Never got it Booking direct a lot more expensive then through booking.com

Review 47:I love full kitchen 2 baths King suite and large rooms

Review 48:Immaculate property, unusually well equiped for self catering. Presence of basis such as salt, pepper and cooking oil were unusual and much appreciated. Delightful, quiet location. We loved it. Photo is from the balcony.

Review 49:The staff member at the registration office was not very friendly or helpful when we registered. The one when we returned the keys was very nice.

Review 50:Great view, comfortable beds. Just big enough for a get away

Review 51:We were allocated a room with a queen sized bed but had booked for a King Size Bed. All good when moved but a hassle to begin with.

Review 52:Good view, good kitchen facilities and laundry and comfortable bed.

Review 53:We stayed at Nordic Village in the Fall of 2013, even though the rooms were very outdated it was a good experience due to the location and the beauty of the area. So when the opportunity came up to visit the area again we picked the same location, figuring it would be the same. We were wrong. Rooms were even more outdated, original uncomfortable mattress, non-working fireplace/heater and the list goes on. Staff did not care, didn't even ask how our stay was when we checked out. We will not be checking back in. Look elsewhere.

Review 54:This is a beautiful spot.

Review 55:When you pay 150.00 a night on a "Resort" you expect the room to be top notch. The bathroom had a jacuzzi but there was water stains in the ceiling and a large Crack in the wall. We were there for 2 nights but only had one set of towels. If your paying the price you want more than location. If you charge this rate you should have maintenance on speed dial. The rooms above us were vacant and we were still put in a sub standard "suite". Wish I tooks pictures of bathroom.

Review 56:Location to the outlets and the scenery was breath taking. Central to everything we wanted.

Review 57:I think the rooms are a little dated and could use some renovations.

Review 58:We have been coming to Nordic since our kids were little. We love the location and the amenities.

Review 59:My girlfriend and I were placed on the second floor of a condo, and we had a great first night. The second morning we were woken up multiple times from the sound of stopping and heavy walking from the floor above us. I was woken up at 7am from the sound of a child stopping above me. Also, the condition of the room was not the best. We had vertical blinds with one of the blinds not hung up.

Review 60:The setting is very nice, deep within the White Mountains. There were trails to walk, and plenty to do around the area. It was close enough to everything.

Review 61:We have stayed at the Nordic village a few times every time we stay we book thru booking.com this time the condo we stayed in was very dated with very old and used furniture. The furniture in the living room was very old and not comfortable. We had gotten stuck in traffic on our way up and we were too tired to repack the kids and the car and try to get a new room. Also another complaint is that when we did complain all they said was that's part of booking thru booking you have no say in what room you get. But we paid too much money for a beat down condo.

Review 62:We love the location being near story land as well as numerous hiking trails. We like that the resort has two out door year round pools as well as an outdoor hot tub. We like having a condo vs a hotel room.

Review 63:Some updates balcony needs paint Missed not having a fireplace on a chilly night.

Review 64:Location Size of two br townhouse Everything we needed was there Plenty of hot water for showers Heated outdoor pools Pond with huge fish Huge back yard

Review 65:The property is nice but the individual units were dated. Old carpet, old furniture and very uncomfortable pull out bed. It would be nice if the units were updated. The units were occasionally noisy due to upstairs guests.

Review 66:The Nordic Village was very convenient to North Conway and Story Land (the purpose of our trip). The units were great for family travel as they had kitchens.

Review 67:The resort is perfect for family wanted to explore the white mountain area. Kids love the pool and adults would like the heated outdoor jacuzzi. The beds are small though. Wish they could have at least 2 full size beds instead of 2 single beds. Too small if you are not petite size. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Review 68:our room smelled musty and there were cob webs in corners. in need of an update.

Review 69:the pool area was great. clean and our kids loved it too. very pretty grounds.

Review 70:"Kitchenette is a microwave. Dishes were provided but dirty. No room service unless you stay three days. Didn't even pick up garbage. Bathroom half painted. Fireplace didn't work. Batteries for heating unit didn't work. Office was 1/4 mile down road.

Review 71:Centrally located to what we wanted to do. Bed was comfortable, view was great.

Review 72:A bit old fashioned and bathroom could do with updating

Review 73:The views from the French windows were amazing. Kitchen facilities very useful. Very spacious.

Review 74:Bathroom was tired. Large stain on rug in kitchen area. It was wonderful of housekeeping to provide fresh towels the second day, however, our garbage was full and should have been removed.

Review 75:Very private, peaceful surroundings. Comfortable bed. Towels nice and thirsty. Amenities: kitchenette, ensuite laundry, very convenient. Great location in the mountains.

Review 76:Excellent view from the room, Jacuzzi was nice and huge clean rooms. The entire village is well kept. We had the exact moment from the Booking.com TV ad, when we entered the building our room was in the basement and i thought we got a bummer. But when i opened the room whoa!!!!

Review 77:not extremely bad...just a light that was out and went again after replacement..and a toaster that didn't work

Review 78:loved the amount of space and the two king beds...comfortable living area

Review 79:Room appeared to be very tired. Upon arrival found that many windowblind slats were either missing or damaged beyond repair. This wasmentioned to the staff at check out. Their comment was that maintenancecould have repaired. My issue was that the problem was very obvious andshould have been reported and replaced by staff. The entry door has awindow that allows direct view of the restroom. The patio areas werelacking furniture. Another minor issue was the batteries missing in theremote control for the dvd player. This may seem like petty issues butwhen paying over $200 per night we expected better,

Review 80:Proximity to local attractions

Review 81:The room we had was great! It was at the top of the hill and we had a top floor room, which offered a spectacular view of the mountains! Though we only stayed one night, it gave me the break I needed and I was very relaxed. We loved the Jacuzzi tub and the bed was also very comfortable. We did not want to leave!

Review 82:The kids were disappointed there wasn't an arcade type game room.

Review 83:Great pool set up. Loved the adult only gym. Very clean. No complaints about anything.

Review 84:If the outdoor pool was warmer, would have rated it a 10.

Review 85:Decent room, did need a bit of touching up. Fireplace was great and there was lots of room in the 1 Bedroom condo.

Review 86:It was very noisy with people above you. The pool didn't have enough chairs for people to sit and watch their kids. The bed was not comfortable. The tub was VERY slippery and I fell and bruised my head and leg.

Review 87:Love the property and the fact that the outdoor pools are open even in the cold. Room was ok. Good value for money.

Review 88:I think they had the same carpet and couch pillows from 25 years ago. Needs serious updating. We had a neighbor that smoked and we had to close our windows, and neighbors that were rowdy, banging walls well after one am.

Review 89:We loved being in the mountains. We spent our honeymoon there 25 years ago

Review 90:The location was great and the house was more than enough room for all 6 of us. We had a great time they offer many amenities to keep you occupied on the property. I did wish our view from the balcony in our section was better but over all a great place to stay

Review 91:all the furnishing and decor - is very outdated, the stove was making a horrible buzzing sound so we had to unplug it, but thankfully didn't need to use it.Overall, it was clean and served its purpose for one night stay. The bedroom window was facing windows of the other apartments and parking lot.

Review 92:We loved the surroundings, the pond with a bridge and a couple of boats was a nice touch as well as the views from the balcony.

Review 93:We stayed at this facility last year and had a wonderful experience. This year, we decided to shop for food prior to checking in. We bought meals for the weekend to avoid the crowds. After we checked in, we realized that we had a tiny refrigerator, no oven and basically no kitchen. We had to throw away half of our food. Very disappointing! I think it is very frustrating to have completely different types of units. I do not know if we will stay here again next year for our annual trip to Storyland after this year's experience.

Review 94:Location, pools, characters at the campsite

Review 95:Staff was not all that friendly, no overnight front desk, outside pool is for only 18 and over.

Review 96:Great location, very scenic, room was very nice and clean

Review 97:We were given a suite in the basement. Walking down the stairs you could smell mold. Inside the room it reeked of cigarette smoke. No air conditioning - just two box fans and they didn't provide cool air just circulated the warm air. The worst part is the stench of cigarettes in a non smoking suite. We got in late and then spent the next full day at Santa's Village. Returning to the hotel the second evening we were hit with a wall of cigarette nasty smell. Upon arriving at home my suitcase and everything in it either has to be washed or aired out. Unfortunately the staff didn't care - their comment "thanks for letting us know" No reimbursement - no apology NOTHING - We will never stay there again and will warn others also.

Review 98:The location and the views were great - the hotel was horrible

Review 99:I would like a regular size fridge and a stove top so I can some meals e.g. warm up sauce and meatballs I brought with me. Toaster was broke in my condo. Fridge door was also broke. Fridge was small cube size that barely fit anything. Not curtains on livingroom window to keep out the morning light - only sheer curtains. Also, I was on the main level so people were walking their dogs outside my door. I could hear them barking.

Review 100:Love the pools, recreation center, hot tubs. Space in the condo is perfect for my family.

Review 101:The air conditioning unit. Took a very long time to cool and never really cooled to the ideal temperature.

Review 102:The activities, the facilities, the bears (yes, I saw them!!!), the space, the location!!

Review 103:is it ok to say that we liked everything? Well. we did. it is a gorgeous property, great views, well-taken care of pools and gym, all we could ask for in the unit ++

Review 104:We have stayed her dozens of times but this unit was not taken care of by the owner. Dirty plates bathroom was gross and the outlet didn't work in the bathroom

Review 105:The Bon fire at night is nice. Pools and trails

Review 106:Once again the only thing we didn't like was having to check out! But who really ever wants to go home from vacation?

Review 107:Another great stay! This time, even though our separate reservations were last minute, the friendly staff was able to coordinate my parents and our rooms in the same complex on a busy Labor Day Weekend. We could stay there comfortably so much longer and feel right at home.

Review 108:We couldn't get the WiFi to work

Review 109:The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The tranquility pool and hot tub were a nice feature. We apprciated the well kept grounds and the cleanliness of the room and facility. Check in was easy and the staff was great.

Review 110:The mattress on the pull out sofa was painful and we had to take it off and put it on the floor!

Review 111:The pool and property. A great place to stay with young kids.

Review 112:Called down asked for laundry detergent, person on the phone was extremely rude. A simple we dont offer that would have sufficed. Also, there are lights on the decks, none of them turn on, ended up dragging a lap out on the deck to sit out there after dark. I stayed in 3 different rooms over the weekend, none of the deck lights worked.

Review 113:The room was very nice.

Review 114:Place was a mess Caters to "Santa's Village" kids. Townhouse was going back to "Hot Tub Time Machine.

Review 115:Location/Views Would of liked to have my teens be able to use the Mountain view Pool.

Review 116:Room was a little dated. AC was kind of weak. Staff were nice but, not very outgoing.

Review 117:Great Location. Nice facilities. Full kitchen was awesome, fully stocked with pans, bowls, and utensils for cooking

Review 118:no breakfast. Our room didn't have any maid service. Just drop off of linens. some things in the room didn't work. Room was dated and needed an update. Never saw any hotel staff except for check-in and at the pool.

Review 119:Love the outdoor and indoor pools and the evening entertainment as well as the game room. The kids loved the clown and having smores at the campfire.

Review 120:I didn't like that the room smelled like old cigarettes and the smoke detector went off from bathroom steam.

Review 121:I liked that it was so close to StoryLand.

Review 122:The outside patio needed a good sweep. Dead bird on it.

Review 123:My family loved it. Spacious rooms and close to Storyland. Even the bear in the parking lot was friendly. Lol

Review 124:The only notations is that the room could use some updating. Other than that it was great!

Review 125:Location and views were outstanding. We were given a free upgrade to a one bedroom which was great of the staff!

Review 126:This was literally the first time I've stayed in a hotel room where there was no air conditioning, even after traveling the world and in places like cheap hotels Africa this was the first. The televisions look like they were from the 1980s. The shower was possibly the least nice I've been in in many years; it barely trickled out water. The place could be nice if it were renovated.

Review 127:Setting was decent

Review 128:No breakfast included. Would be nice to include breakfast with the price of the package.

Review 129:Has an amazing view and the peace and quiet. The pools and hot tubs are great!

Review 130:The indoor pool was nice, but it smelled of urine because of the dirty bathroom facilities. The sofa bed was broken and the facility didn't really seem very concerned. There was no offer of upgrade or money off for one night of ruined sleep. They sent some facility people the following day to fix it. It didn't really help. My kids ended up sleeping on the sofa bed mattress on the floor. The other bed was fine, but it seemed old as it was very uncomfortable.

Review 131:The pools were great. They could clean a bit more often.

Review 132:Couldn't get the upstairs bedroom fan to work properly. The air conditioning unit didn't blow and it was a bit hot sleeping.

Review 133:The unit was very comfortable. Beautiful setting and the location was great.

Review 134:Some of the furniture and decor was from the '80's but it was clean and comfortable, and didn't affect our stay.

Review 135:It had all the comforts of home. When traveling with young children, it's great to take advantage of the kitchen facilities. Staying in a condo opposed to a hotel room was the better choice for the same price.

Review 136:needs a little updating there were some signs of age of the carpet and a few stains on ceilings and walls, nothing major but it showed its age.

Review 137:location and view were great

Review 138:Layout is great. Location great. Visited at least 15 times in the past. First time back in over 10 years. This time with grandchild Facilities need updating. Outdoor furniture are decrepit Evidence of mold and mildew. Will not return until property is updated. Staff are outstanding!!!

Review 139:We got a very outdated basement unit that smelled damp and moldy, had blinds that didn't close all the way in the bedroom, a very uncomfortable bed and pull out couch and no natural light in the living area. For the price, I was very disappointed.

Review 140:The facilities were great and we were able to see some of the updated units that were quite nice, had more comfortable beds and were were better furnished/decorated. The units were quite large.
