Reviews for La Aldea Del Inca

Review 1:WIFI didn't work most of the time. There is no chance to enter the hotel after midnight. No lake view as promised in the room description.

Review 2:Friendly staff and good breakfast

Review 3:Wifi was a bit hit and miss Were very picky about taking $100 bill for payment - ensure you have pristine notes! Midnight curfew - didn't affect me but might if you are a night owl

Review 4:Location close to town Comfortable beds Basic but decent breakfast Friendly staff

Review 5:Quite a climb up from the lake for us pensioners but more or less flat to the main square and cathedral

Review 6:Quiet, friendly, clean, good heater provided, hot water, great views out over the Lake

Review 7:Convenient location (but up a short steep hill) from main tourist street. Nice views over the lake from our room and the garden. Room (double with lake view)was one of the best on our travels, large, bright and comfortable. Friendly staff who speak a little English and are keen to help.

Review 8:We had a very lovely stay here. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The room was large and comfortable, good hot water. Fabulous breakfast - one of the best we had in Bolivia! Location is great; very close to shops, restaurants etc but in a very quite location with lonely views of the lake. Highly recommend.

Review 9:The bed was small and you ended in in the middle. The schouwer was leaking.

Review 10:The view over the lake is marvellous, the room is fine, breakfast nice with fresh scrambled eggs.

Review 11:The buildings are cheaply built, no heating, not a great position, and a storm knocked out the electricity so it was freezing cold

Review 12:Not much could be liked.

Review 13:- The room was very cold (perhaps because it was one in the shadow) and the little heater was not enough to warm it up. Cold wind comes in through window and door gap - The shower was not very hot

Review 14:- Very friendly staff Wilma - Quiet location with nice garden and views on the lake but very centric as well - Comfortable beds - Good breakfast

Review 15:I liked the simple and elegant design of the hotel, the use of natural materials and the individual houses. The staff were friendly as well and let us leave our bags behind while we traveled to isla del Sol for a couple of days. Appreciated the scrambled eggs for breakfast too.

Review 16:Our shower drain wasn't working and they knew about it, it would have been better if they fixed it. It's quite expensive in comparison with the rest of our stays, which had the same quality more or less

Review 17:Room was spacy There was a heater The water was hot Nice garden

Review 18:Wifi wasn't great and it felt cold inside.

Review 19:Quiet peaceful location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cold but they provided a heater which was wonderful. Beautiful view of the lake.

Review 20:Difficult to keep warm in the room. Standard double bed was rather small by modern standards. Tiny bathroom. No hot water in basin--but good hot shower.

Review 21:Convenient to buses and eating places. Nice view across the bay from the lawn and from some rooms. Inca decor provides atmosphere. Attentive service.

Review 22:We stayed for only one night, since we went to Peru afterwards. But we had a great stay in the hotel. Especially the breakfast is great (fresh scrambled eggs) and the owner was very very friendly.

Review 23:WiFi was on and off, mainly off.

Review 24:Great place with beautiful view of the lake. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and breakfast was terrific.

Review 25:Very friendly and always helpful staff. The room was very clean with lovely furniture and we had a very good and fresh breakfast. Very good location a bit uphill (so it is very quite) with a nice view over the lake. It's just a 1-2 minute walk to the main road or harbour. Good internet connection.

Review 26:Bedsheets didn´t quite fit properly and the curtains were rather thin, meaning sleep-ins were a bit difficult!

Review 27:Only a 2 minute walk to the main street also meant it was quiet. Big rooms and comfy bed. Hosts were nice.

Review 28:Cold room equipped with a tiny portable heater but which you can t really plug anywhere. Beds were a bit unstable and the matress not firm enough. But the real problem was the shower: it was an electric shower with wires sticking out everywhere. When we asked whether this was safe the owner answered that you get the same everywhere in Bolivia... but this is not true!

Review 29:Good location and good breakfast

Review 30:The most expensive hotel during our stay in Peru and Bolivia although the quality is far below that from other hotels that even are much cheaper. The rooms were cold although the small heater. The shower gave several times electric shocks while we were showering. Strange system to heat the water

Review 31:Very friendly staff and good breakfast ! Location at a quiet place in town.

Review 32:The location was great with a wonderful view from the yard, which had chairs and hammocks to relax in while you take in the energy of Lake Titicaca. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff was the best staff I have encountered in a very long time. I feel like we became great friends after only a 2 night stay. Very friendly, intelligent, interesting and accommodating at every request. I will return.

Review 33:Breakfast was superb! Staff was also super friendly! The rooms were nicely decorated but maybe a little cold. A heater, however, was provided. (But we did not want to use it)

Review 34:Everything was fantastic. Amazing view of the lake and great breakfast.

Review 35:I could not stay longer because it was already full for the next day.

Review 36:Friendly personal and helpful owners made everything we requested possible.

Review 37:Very small shover cabin, hot water though!

Review 38:Personal adobe building, friendly staff, close to harbour. Heater in the room.

Review 39:Occasional bad smell from toilet.

Review 40:Big room, effective WiFi, excellent breakfast and helpful staff.

Review 41:Small bed, poor bedding

Review 42:Bungalow type, grounds, nice breakfast

Review 43:nothing really. All good.

Review 44:Location, staff at reception,

Review 45:Views of titicaca, not far from restaurants, uphill was a bit harsh on the smokers lungs.

Review 46:A little overpriced for what it is.

Review 47:Views over lake. Quiet. Excellent helpful staff.

Review 48:The breakfast was excellent.

Review 49:Very good location. Very nice helpful staff. Very nice rooms. Everything deigned according to local culture. Nice garden with hammocks.

Review 52:Great hotel with fantastic views of the lake. Lovely host

Review 53:wifi very poor

Review 54:staff he very nice and helpful

Review 55:Nothing bad.

Review 56:It was quiet yet within easy walking distance of the town which at an altitude of close to 13000ft is a very good thing.

Review 57:Cleanliness, proximity to local activities and events Friendly , helpful staff

Review 58:Good value, exceptionally friendly staff. Beautiful view of the lake. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer

Review 59:Garden, Room and the view out of the hammock

Review 61:Great location, great staff, warm and cosy

Review 62:Wifi abit hit and miss

Review 63:Good hotel obliging staff and good breakfast

Review 64:Breakfast was good but not much value for money

Review 65:One of the rooms (9) was prespiring unplesant odors from the bathroom.

Review 66:A bit secluded. Good view. Friendly and helpfull staff. Eco profile.

Review 67:Room was a bit cold

Review 68:Lovely b&b witu great view of the lake. Super helpful staff, lovely room, great breakfast.

Review 69:Not much external shade

Review 70:Location; friendly, helpful staff

Review 71:Most expensive place we stayed in our trip to Peru and Bolivia, no wifi connection, breakfast only fair

Review 72:Convenient location, spaciousness of suite

Review 73:Lovely hosts, spacious room, great breakfast!

Review 74:Overall it was okay for zone night. Copacabana itself us nothing special.

Review 75:The position overlooking the lake, friendly and helpful staff

Review 76:The reception closed very early. After 1.30 am is the hotel closed.

Review 77:Very clean. You can lent dvds at the reception.

Review 78:Great hotel. Very clean, excellent breakfast and the staff is great and helpfull.

Review 79:The view was amazing. The most friendly and helpful staff at all times. Central but quiet location.

Review 80:Room didn't have a radiator. We got an electric heater, it was a little bit cold for the first few hours, though.

Review 81:Very nice facility, friendly staff

Review 82:Hot water was not quite hot.

Review 83:Wonderful setting and location. The hammocks and view were great. Two blocks to the heart of town. Staff was excellent and very helpful.

Review 84:Issues with the solar hot water in the shower. No hot water at all in the hand basin. Bed linen was clean but could be better quality.

Review 85:Staff were friendly & helpful.

Review 86:bungalows go without heating, even with the electrical heater which we had to ask for, it was still very cold, not a good option if you're traveling with a child. overall the amount paid didn't correspond to the services offered.

Review 87:hostel conveniently located near central street with the view on the lake

Review 88:the power points in the room looked like they had burnt out and we had issues charging things and got electric shocks from them!

Review 89:The hammocks, the view and garden area was excellent. The location is good, the only downside is the uphill trek to it which when you have bags can be a mission! Breakfast was lovely, good choice.

Review 90:At the reservation momment the were only double room being offered, but when I arrived there were single room also, and available. I had to pay for two anyway because he didnt let me change, although they dont offer it previously.

Review 91:The eco hotel proposal

Review 92:A bit cold in the room especially late in the evening. Electric heater of course helped but was not enough to heat up the room. Poor shower system. Did not manage to get enough water from the device. Location on the dark street (no street lamps).

Review 93:A very nice view to Titicaca lake. Quiet neigbours, I slept like a log. Fresh fruit and strong coffee for breakfast. I had a suite, which was quite nice and spacious with two windows facing the lake. Comfortable big bed. Excellent value for money.

Review 94:The Wi-Fi did not work at all. The shower and bathroom were very tiny, and difficult to adjust with the solar hot water.

Review 95:There's a nice view of the Lake Titicaca from the grounds of the hotel.

Review 96:Not a problem for us but a slight walk uphill to reach hotel

Review 97:Staff were extremely welcoming, personable and helpful. Helped plan our time. Great views of the lake. Far enough away to relax bit close enough to everything to enjoy.

Review 98:The shower head is too big for the amount of water that comes out. It is good that it is solar powered but we both had trouble regulating the temperature

Review 99:The rooms are large, bright and comfortable. A heater is provided for the cold nights. Breakfast was excellent. The garden is nice to sit in.

Review 100:Our worst stay in Bolivia for the most expensive place we booked! Power shortage at 7pm only at the hotel with no back up generator, not fixed until our departure the next day - we were not offered candles or lamps No hot shower, No light, No heating for Christmas Eve. Completely overpriced (even if we had electricity), other hotels 10x cheaper in Copacabana. The hotel is uphill get ready for the hike

Review 101:Spacious room Some staff speaks English Good breakfast

Review 102:Although the facility is fairly new, the buildings are poorly isolated, both for sound as for temperature. Not having a family with kids nextdoor solves the sound issue. But as the nights get very cold so do the rooms. And since the rooms are quite large and have a stone tiled floor they will take ages to heat up by the small provided electric radiator. Also the WiFi reception was very poor, even when standing next to the router which is located in the garden. And why do you put up signs saying you recycle towels when you give new ones every day?!

Review 103:Staff is very friendly, breakfast is perfect with fresh fruits, juices and eggs.

Review 104:Solar powered showers which are a bit temperamental and the rooms are cold at night.

Review 105:Less than a 5 min walk to the main area. Relaxing outdoor social area with deck chairs and hammocks overlooking the lake.

Review 106:The double bed in the suite is not really big enough and needs a new mattress. I would suggest replacing it with a queen size bed

Review 107:The Hotel is very well situated above the town and has excellent views of the lake. Very pleasant staff

Review 108:Shower is extremly difficult to use (either hot or cold) - you need patience; Wifi was working very slow - not really satisfying

Review 109:Very quiet location, only two blocks from the main road; walking distance from the bus station

Review 110:Room was slightly on the cool side. A rug on the floor would help that.

Review 111:Room was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect...2 minutes to the main shopping part of town yet far enough away to be peaceful and quiet.

Review 112:Quite a pious attitude in notices around rooms. Shower worked but temperamental

Review 113:Clean. Efficient staff. Working wifi. Use of dvd player and movies in room. Breakfast of egg, fruit, bread, juice, hot drinks.

Review 114:Water in the accommodation was pretty cold, when we complained about it we were told by the owner that it depends what is your expectation about water being hot.Well the water was really cold

Review 115:Nice view from the garden ,good breakfast

Review 116:Showers don't drain properly in all Bolivia No heating

Review 117:Friendly staff, helpful Good breakfast and beautiful lake view Room big and bed comfortable

Review 118:Great views. Lovely central courtyard fir relaxing in sun. Good sized rooms on ground level. Quiet and private. Heater. Friendly staff and good breakfast.

Review 119:The room was kind of cold and in the first room we had a heater. However the chill of the room from all the natural stone, wouldn't keep us away, and we even extended our stay and they were very accommodating!

Review 120:The staff was so amazing! So young, friendly and would try and speak English with us. We loved the hammocks that over looked lake titicaca! It was so peaceful! And there was two kitties and a dog that roamed around the ground which was so cute.

Review 121:Be prepared for steep hill up to entrance, not easy at high altitude.

Review 122:Beautiful setting with views over Lake Titikaka. Comfortable rooms, very private. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a laundry service which was brilliant at low cost. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Review 123:I loved the design of the place. Wonderful view of the sunset on LakeTiticaca! The lobby and common area were very comfortable with a reallyinteresting selection of books. The breakfast offered a tasty variety ofhot and cold foods and drinks.

Review 124:No hot water in bathroom sink, but shower was hot.

Review 125:The location was good, just a few minutes to the lake, restaurants etc. The breakfast was good, eggs included. Nice views of lake. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 126:Curtains were thin and let the lights in at night. Wifi was hit andmiss, but I think that's a Copacobana-wide thing. If you wantreliable Internet for more than just email the Internet cafes are abetter bet.

Review 127:The staff, the breakfast, the views, the hammocks overlooking thelake, individual cabins, solar showers, location. Loved it andabsolutely recommend. Not the cheapest n town, but a great mid-rangeoption for couples.
