Reviews for Seaside Inn
Review 1:I booked the room for my parents on Xmas eve..both are elderly so i requested a room at ground level and they met the request. ..the staff was pleasant and on two occasions i left a message for a call back and somebody called me within fifteen minutes. ..I live in town and will definitely be booking more rooms for any guests that i can't accommodate. ..
Review 2:During off season time, no one is available at desk or inn to assist with check-in or if you may have a issue during your stay. There are instructions to see manager next door at British Beer Works to check in. The one one night I stayed, we had torrential wind driven rain. I was awaken at 12:45am to leaking in the ceiling directly over my bed as well as leaking around the window above the AC/Heater in wall. There were no available blankets or linens available in room...needless to say, I did the best I could with wet blankets and mattress to get me through the night. The following morning, the Manager was in at the desk. When I told him of the situation he seemed disinterested and really didn't feel the need to apologize. I asked if he was interested in seeing where the leaking was he said "not really, I'll take a look later!" He told me I wouldn't be charged for the night but was unable to issue me a receipt indicating a credit??? I called my CC company to assure my card wasn't charged.
Review 3:Great location....close to beach, restaurants and walking area.
Review 4:Just stayed overnight waiting for the morning ferry. Owner was very helpful, leaving key available for My late arrival. Lovely Inn, excellent location. Off season prices. Actually looking forward to come in the summertime with my wife.
Review 5:Bed was way to hard.ac/heater made a load noise when it cycled off. We weren't able to utilize it. Bed was to close to the wall/windows on one side making difficult to get in and out of. I wouldn't stay there again.
Review 6:My phone calls were not returned. The office sign was confusing. There were no washcloths when we arrived, after the office was closed.
Review 7:The bed was very comfortable, the handicapped bathroom was huge, the location was a great spot, and the room had everything we needed. More than what we thought it would be, for the price.
Review 8:The location was very good for our needs. The British Beer Co. is in the same complex, easy access to good food. Great sunrise over the Beach across the street.
Review 9:We had to tote our heavy luggage up a flight of stairs and no one offered help although we were in clear sight of the small front office.
Review 10:The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the seashore.
Review 11:We had hoped to have a view of the ocean from our room but at least we were in very close proximity to the beach.
Review 12:We found the staff and the food in their restaurant to be superb.
Review 13:Small balcony, no coffee maker in room and 30 steps to the third floor are a lot...but well worth the effort.
Review 14:The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. The location being right on the ocean is incredible! Excellent food!
Review 15:stayed for two nights. there wasn't really too much cleaning in between. did not replace toiletries and bed was just thrown together. didn't change out mugs. was quite pricey.
Review 16:location, location, location
Review 17:Nothing negative to say
Review 18:Spacious and comfortable room very clean, staff very helpful. Having the Britsh Beer Company right there was very handy for meals. Island Queen ferry to Martha's Vineyard is a short walk away.
Review 19:The staff in the office were very friendly and answered all our questions about nearby attractions etc. we were able to borrow chairs to use at the beach. There was a British pub right next door which had great food.
Review 20:I paid my bill in full back in January they took a further payment of £138.98 in august I was promised a refund but only got £112.16 back I am now £26.82 down can I please have a full refund as promised
Review 21:This inn appears to be part of "The British Beer Company" restaurant. While convenient for catching a drink or bite, the kitchen fans and related activities are loud, smelly, the burgers are on the grill, no doubt
Review 22:Beautiful location across the street from the beach. Quaint room, tastefully decorated. helpful friendly staff.
Review 23:Bed was uncomfortable, but the stay more than made up for this.
Review 24:loved the location, we had seafront room with balcony. Also loved being next to the British Beer Company Restaurant. Great location for walking to the Ferry to Marthas Vineyard.
Review 25:did not have any bad experiences
Review 26:everyone was very nice and it was nice to sit outside and look at the water--very relaxing-wish we could have stayed longer-hopefully next year that will be possible
Review 27:The rooms are small and a bit outdated, but it's reflected in theprice. Probably the best value in Falmouth.
Review 28:The location is impossible to beat. Right next to the beach, walkingdistance to the mv ferry. Absolutely amazing.
Review 29:The bed was a little less than comfy but easily overlooked with all else that was great. We were only there for a couple of days so did not need the kitchen except the refrigerator. The refrigerator was fine - in good working condition and clean. There was no oven or stove top, just a microwave, so the kitchen is great for rewarming last night's dinner but not a place to really cook up your own meal.
Review 30:The grounds are adorable and abound with pots of perfectly groomed flowering plants. The room was very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean. Beach access is just a hop across a crosswalk and the beach is gorgeous. The ocean was a lovely blue-green color with sailboats sailing on the horizon all day. The views only get better with a nice walk up the hill. We really enjoyed the food at the British Beer company our first night and the fantastic bands that played each evening (free cover). The center of town is just a short drive away where we ate at the scrumptious Anejo. If you don't want a long wait, you'll want to plan on a very early dinner. The people who run the Seaside Inn were cordial, accommodating, and helpful.
Review 31:We have nothing negative to say about our stay at the Seaside Inn.
Review 32:Loved that we could walk across the road and be on the beach! Staff was attentive and helpful - alarm clock wasn't working, and they replaced it immediately with a new one right out of the box. Enjoyed dinner at the British Beer Company.
Review 33:nothing. the room was nice and big and the staff was helpful. i would have preferred breakfast on the menu but it was just nice having a restaurant next door.
Review 34:the ocean view was a little window. the beach was right across the street, so that made up for it.
Review 35:The partial sea side room is a room with view on the parking, that has less view than a room with no view. another problem: we had a tornado alert, the local media said to take cover in a basement immediately. We were on second floor, no basement and absolutely no guidance was given from staff we could see from the window behind their office (where a phone is available). Very scary and no support.
Review 36:The place in Falmouth on the beach is more than beautiful, with traditional wooden houses.
Review 37:For such a high price, you get no breakfast. Not even a wrapped muffin or something small. We had to eat out every morning. Also, it is loud and bright. Very tight rooms. Cheap bedding and no hot tub or amenities.
Review 38:Friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Great beach access.
Review 39:The bed was a little small for 2 people - it was more like a full size bed than a queen, but that wasn't a big deal...
Review 40:Hotel was very clean, bright and airy. Friendly staff. Location was superb - right across from the ocean. We asked to check out a little late and the manager kindly permitted us to do so.
Review 41:There was no breakfast
Review 42:This place although our room was small, was clean and had a wonderful cape cod feel to it. Situated right across from the ocean, the views are stunning. The British pub/ restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent for both food and entertainment. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, and a 15 min walk to down town. I would recommend this hotel.
Review 43:Just across the street from the ocean, easy walk to the Island Queen (passenger ferry to Martha's Vineyard) and to the center of town. Bar/restaurant on the same property, second one diagonally across the street.
Review 44:Bed smaller than queen size advertised, incredibly small bathroom (you had to wedge yourself into the space between the shower and the wall to use the toilet), and the smell of deodorizer/cleaning products was so strong we had to leave windows open.
Review 45:Friendly people working the desk, great location right next to the beach
Review 46:Bed was supposed to be a queen size but it was more a full size. No tub only a shower stall. Room was a little small but clean. Maids didn't come after the first night so we came back to a messy room and bathroom. Had to go get clean towels.
Review 47:Location was good. It was across the street from the beach. Pub downstairs was good. No breakfast places really close by.
Review 48:In the off season there is much less housekeeping and there is not always someone at the desk (although you can get help from the manager of the adjacent British Beer Co. which has the same owners).
Review 49:Great location across from beach, next to British Beer Co. and not too far from town center (although you still need to drive or bike). Comfortable clean room with fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils and kitchen table, with partial sea view all for the standard room price. The motel has classic wood shingles and siding in the shore house architectural style and was quite quiet and peaceful.
Review 50:My only bad experience was that I was annoyed that someone else took my parking spot. In turn, I had to take someone else's spot and I felt badly about that. Was disappointed that when I saw the summer brochure, realized that I could never afford this place in the nice weather.
Review 51:The room was very clean, a comfortable bed, and spacious. Love that it was right across the street from a beach and that you could get adult beverages right next door with no driving involved.
Review 52:The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the room was a bit small. The bathroom was also small. That's One things I don't like Booking a room before seeing it. Since it was off season and not fully booked, it would have been nice if they offered us another room.
Review 53:A short walk to the beach
Review 54:I wish the British Beer Company next door did breakfast. Taxis expensive.
Review 55:Room was lovely with a nice shower room. And I had a partial view of the ocean. Lori was very helpful.
Review 56:Our January visit found the Cape just as beautiful as the summertime. We were there during the 7 degree chill and it was still was wonderful. My guy Joe said to say the ocean was too close to our room! Joking of course.
Review 57:Bright sunny room Tidy well equipped kitchenette Friendly attentive staff Great food and service in restaurant Awesome location Good prices
Review 58:Nice clean room, very private,no noise from other guests. Across the road from the beach and around the building to The British Beer Company. A perfect weekend getaway !
Review 59:We canceled our original plans and found the seaside inn online. Honestly I booked due to the fabulous price but little did I know that we would find a place that we will continue to visit stay at often!!! Thank you for the cleanest hotel room with the most amazing ocean view at an unbelievable price!!! Keep up the excellent service!!! See you very soon.
Review 60:The location for this hotel is excellent. We have stayed here a few times in the off season and you can't ask for a better value. We will continue to visit the Seaside Inn.
Review 61:I would have been a little happier if we were on an upper floor or in the front where you could see the water. We were in the back on the ground floor so we were surrounded by the parking lot and couldn't see the water....which is part of why I wanted to stay there, but still the price was right, and you only have to walk across the street to the beach....and it's winter, so I can't complain too much! It's a little odd that there wasn't anyone at the desk, and where it's connected to the restaurant, you have to go there for ice, and we couldn't figure out the TV which it turned out just needed the connection tightened, we figured it out sooner or later. That said though, the guy at the desk who checked us in and out was very pleasant to deal with.
Review 62:This hotel is right across the street from the water. It's an older place, and that is what we look for. The room was very clean, and seemed to have been updated not too long ago. It is attached to the BBC, the British Beer Company. The food is good and the fire place was a plus, since we were there right after Christmas, it was very cheery. There was a top 40 band playing, which wouldn't be my thing but my sister came by and it was fun. I would stay there again.
Review 63:only having one night there! should have booked 3!
Review 64:right on the waterfront, great views, very clean and tidy older style motel, perfect romantic getaway, quiet, English pub next door
Review 65:No one around. No lights on balcony. Had to use personal flashlight to find room. Sooner or later, they will get sued because no one around and no lights on balcony and, as a resut, someone is injured.
Review 66:Clean room.
Review 67:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 68:The room was large, and also included a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster, a range of crockery and cutlery, and a small dining table. The upstairs room had a large picture window directly facing the beach giving wonderful uninterrupted sea views. The wi-fi connection was very good. There is dedicated parking for each room.
Review 69:There was no one available at the reception when I checked in, nor when I checked out. I had already registered online, and they provided an envelope with my key and information. I left the key in the same envelope. It was off-putting to not interact with an actual person, and it did not feel secure to have the key in the envelope.
Review 70:The room was sweet, pleasing color scheme, comfortable bed, decent room size. Very nice!
Review 71:Off season, arrived at 3:30 PM, but nobody in office. Followed instructions to go to restaurant next door, not clear that we were supposed to follow instructions for late arrival.
Review 72:Large comfortable room right across from the beach. Good value off season.
Review 73:We were upgraded to the Second floor with our private balcony. We slept very good, the heater worked well ( it was snowing when we were in Falmouth end of October) Private parking is provided and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!
Review 74:The room was well decorated in colours appropriate for the delightful setting overlooking Vineyard Sound. The room was light and bright with windows on 2 aspects. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hot water took a long time to come through but once it did there was plenty of it. The receptionist on our arrival was particularly helpful, helping us with a large amount of luggage in the pouring rain. A very good location for the delightful town of Falmouth.
Review 75:The beds could be more comfortable, but we had a good night's sleep. We would definitely recommend this location.
Review 76:We were so close to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. We enjoyed the restaurant right at the hotel. Music and dinner as well! The room was oceanfront and the view was beautiful. The hotel staff was also very friendly. The room was also very spacious. There was a kitchen and refrigerator. The cost was very reasonable.
Review 77:bathroom was very small; drop off of keys in the morning when I left--- not secure-- I left at 7:30 and no one was in the office so I had to put my keys in the mailbox-- anyone could have come take them-- made me very nervous as I didnt want to be charged $100 for them!
Review 78:location, quietness
Review 79:Room I stayed in is just on the edge of needing an update--appears a little worn. One uncomfortable chair, tiny bathroom, inconvenient closet. Only stayed one night but would not want to spend much more than that. Restaurant attached is just fair.
Review 80:Cross the street and you're on the beach. Quiet--at least off season (September).
Review 81:Wish there was a small fridge in all rooms.
Review 82:How close the beach was--The fact that the BBC was right there. We didn't have to drive to find somewhere to eat,
Review 83:It was a little rough for my husband to climb the stairs to the 2nd floor. There was no elevator.
Review 84:The location was great. Falmouth is a nice town on Cape Cod. I thought the rates were reasonable compared to some other places.
Review 85:The room we stayed in this time was small and cramped, but certainly fine in every other category.
Review 86:We love the location and the convenience to the beach.
Review 87:Excellent location right across from the beach and they had chairs and towels available to use. A 5 minute drive into Falmouth centre and a 5 minute walk to the Martha's Vineyard ferry. Staff were all very helpful - I had a mishap staining a couple of shirts and a pair of shorts the night before we were due to leave and the lady at the desk insisted she washed them and used stain remover despite it being 9pm and got the clothes back to me within an hour dry and as good as new, great service.
Review 88:The wifi did not work in my room and I didn't like that there was no vending machine or access to drinks or snack on the property.
Review 89:The service was great! I loved the location, close to everything and right on the beach!
Review 90:The owner was very nice when I spoke with him on the phone before our trip, and the woman who checked us in was so friendly & sweet. We absolutely loved our ocean view room. It was a true pleasure to walk out the door & step on the beach within a few seconds. My only regret is that we couldn't stay a few more days!
Review 91:We brought our bikes with us. The hotel was close to Woods Hole and the Falmouth-Oak Bluffs ferry. We only used the car to ride to Hyannis one day, which was about 35 minutes away. After a day of riding our bikes, it was nice to walk across the street and relax on the beach. We ate dinner twice at BBC. Very convenient!
Review 92:Loved our stay at seaside inn. Staff was very friendly and the pary I liked the most was we got to check in when we got there. Usually other places you have to wait until 3pm or 6pm. You get an assigned parking spot and can hit the beach across the street without having to pay or look for parking. Overall the place was great.
Review 93:rooms on the smallish side, beach towels would have been a nice addition
Review 94:across the street from the beach with a good pub next door, friendly staff, clean rooms, good ac, wifi & tv, price reasonable, free parking
Review 95:There wasn't any refrigerator, but we were only there for 3 days we made do. Not a deal breaker AT all
Review 96:I loved everything. Going to stay at a place you never stayed at before I was a little nervous. But I was pleasantly surprised. So clean and the beds were super comfy. Being so close to the water you honestly can't beat the price. We will be back for sure.
Review 97:Bathroom was very small with just a shower stall, only one chair in the room. If I had known there were units with kitchenettes, I would have definintely gotten one of those.
Review 98:It was so close to the beach and there is a British Beer Works right beside it.
Review 99:Shower could use some updating.
Review 100:Excellent hospitality and terrific location! Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly, definitely would recommend this hotel for a cute Cape Cod getaway!
Review 101:Little too far from downtown to walk, but short drive..
Review 102:The location for a beach bum was excellent, the staff was very friendly and the room was immaculate.
Review 103:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 104:The staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating. The room was very clean and spacious and they thought of everything we might need to make our stay comfortable. Our room was ocean front..it was like being on the beach.
Review 105:Nothing
Review 106:Location
Review 107:No staff in off season, on your own, but was not a problem.
Review 108:Practically on the beach.
Review 109:Amazing location, great staff and very clean!!!
Review 110:Nobody in office at 4pm. Heat was weird and bathroom stayed cold.
Review 111:Great location near beach
Review 112:The beds were not that comfortable
Review 113:Mattress sags, it was uncomfortable, should be replaced.
Review 114:Great location
Review 115:Awesome views, and nice restaurant/pub on property.
Review 116:Limited parking but perfectly adequate
Review 117:Location and general ambience
Review 118:Loved price, size of room and view to Martha's Vineyard. Staff very accommodating . Will definitely revisit.
Review 119:Bathroom
Review 120:Awesome view
Review 121:wonderful location
Review 122:Mattress was lumpy (rm 106)
Review 123:Nice room and Kitchen area great Location Friendly staff (very accommodating) Great restaurant
Review 124:Overpriced for the size of the room, especially since we were there in the "off season."
Review 125:The beach is across the street
Review 126:Could use new pillows
Review 127:We left a pair of shoes behind and we got a call right away great service
Review 128:Room was small
Review 129:Good location on the shore and well located for boat to Martha's Vineyard. Not far from downtown.
