Reviews for Ansia Hotel
Review 1:Friendly owner, nice location, and great food! We were there last month. It was very fogy, but beautiful in different way. We had dinner everyday at the hotel. The food was the best in our entire trip.
Review 2:Nothing.
Review 3:Mehmet and his wife are wonderfully generous hosts, who keep a very clean and modern hotel (built in the past year). The cave room was so cool, and the view overlooking Cappadocia were phenomenal! The hosts will not hesitate to bend over backwards to accommodate their guests -- Mehmet's wife is a phenomenal chef (we always ate at the hotel), and when we asked her about where to buy Turkish spices, she drove us to the neighboring town to buy them with us! Also, her Turkish breakfast put all the other ones we had to shame! Mehmet has a long history in the tourism industry and can take you on his own private tour of Cappadocia, which is much better than the advertised ones. You'll zip around in his Mini Cooper with his cute dog John! Fantastic stay; Can't wait to go back!
Review 4:There is one room that is directly on the street. It is a lovely comfortable room, but if you are bothered by street noise, request a room upstairs or further back in the hotel.
Review 5:This is an excellent small hotel with extremely kind and helpful owners. The views from the hotel terrace are outstanding, and the food is delicious -- make sure you stay for dinner at least once!
Review 6:None
Review 7:Excellent boutique hotel with a fabulous view over the area. Our experience in Cappadocia was above our expectation, thanks to the host Mehmet and his wife which gave us lot of information, helped us to book the balloon ride and other trips, provided delicious local food and drinks. For sure we couldn't choose any better. We will love to stay again to Ansia Hotel, however next time must be winter time trip to Cappadocia.
Review 8:The owners and staff went out of their way to make the stay special and even brought a cake and bottle of wine for us on my birthday. Top notch Turkish breakfast as well!
Review 9:Ideal boutique hotel with a commanding view from Uchisar. The rooms are very well appointed & tastefully furnished. Hotel Ansia is run by a very warm & hospitable couple, Ozlam & Mehmet. They not only play the perfect hosts but also define the personalised experience of a botique hotel. The food here was wonderful. Breakfast was exemplary on all days, where Mehmet personally took care of each & every detail. Both the Turkish & Continental cuisine were well made & well presented. It was admirable that the best handpicked fruits, vegetables & meat was procured everyday. We even accompanied Mehmet to the farmers market & enjoyed the experience. It is an unique experience to be dining on Ansia terrace, with perhaps the best view in Cappadoccia. Mehmet arranged for our ballon ride, sightseeing tours etc. & got us a very reasonable & value for money deals. Overall a throughly enjoyable stay & very highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect botique hotel experience.
Review 10:Mehmet the owner was very hands on and went out of his way for us to feel welcome and show us the sights. Ansia Hotel and Mehmet provided the most amazing personal service that we could have asked for.
Review 11:After a full month of traveling around western Turkey, my husband, mother and I capped off our stay in that beautiful country with the best hotel experience of the trip…. at the Ansia. From the moment we arrived (4 hours late at 1am), Mehmet was out by the shuttle to help us with our luggage and give us a warm welcome, paying no mind to the late hour. As our stay progressed, we became more and more enchanted with the mind-blowing landscape of Cappadocia (seen in its dazzling entirety from the dining terrace of the Ansia) and the amazing meals prepared from scratch by our fabulous hosts (breakfast AND dinner). Mehmet was happy to tell us all we wanted to know about the sights of this ancient land as well as Turkish culture in general. The location of the Ansia in Uchisar is a perfect distance from the awe-inspiring castle (be sure to catch the sunset from the top) and is much more serene, convenient and charming to walk around than the bustling streets of Goreme. My husband and I felt we left the Ansia with great memories as well as a new friend in Mehmet. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to going back in the winter to see the snow capped fairy chimneys. A few more things: leave it to Mehmet to book your balloon ride and tours- he’ll get you the best deal! The bathrooms are fantastic and luxurious- it's all great!!!!
Review 12:The Hotel was amazing - the best views on the valley from the terrace, delicious breakfast and very well educated and entertaining host fluent in two languages (English and German). If you stay in Uchisar, I would totally recommend you to stay at Ansia. And find some time to talk with the host, Mehmet, he is former tourist guide and could provide you with all the information you need to know about region. P.S. if you are having difficulty deciding where to stay, in Uchisar or Goreme - if you are looking for the vista, then it is Uchisar :))
Review 13:Everything was great.
Review 14:This cave hotel is awesome - you get a picture perfect view of Uchisar and you have modern amenities in a renovated and transformed 'cave' hotel. But beyond the hotel, Mehmet and his wife are probably among the best hosts in Turkey - they went out of their way to make us feel like welcome in their hotel. They were also great at introducing us to the local culture and even helped us see a Cappadocia off the beaten track. Staying with Mehmet at the Ansia Hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip.
Review 15:Nothing!!! 100% recommend this hotel
Review 16:Everything: 1) the involvement and commitment of management to make sure your stay is amazing; 2) the view from the hotel is stunning and unique; 3) the food was absolutely delicious!!! And as a plus bio-friendly!
Review 17:The owners went out of there way to make our stay in Cappadocia be one to remember. Took all the stress out of planning everything by organising all our activities with transport to and from the hotel. Too easy!! Accomadation and food easily the best we've had on our trip. Can not recommend this hotel more :D
Review 18:Staff exceeded all expectations and helped us in a myriad of ways--with a balloon company, with suggestions for wine, with minor health issues, with a late dinner when our flights were delayed, etc etc Fabulous hosts and good food.
Review 19:I like the location and also rooms are so great. It has realy god staffand also hotel owners are just great. They are helpful. You can watchbaloons from hotel's roof.
Review 20:The hotel was beautiful and a great starting point to discover the surroundings. The owner Mehmet was very friendly and helped a lot with good insights and tips what to do. A great stay!
Review 21:The hotel is very small, though it plans to expand soon. Therefore amenities are still relatively basic.
Review 22:Very helpful and welcoming owners Comfortable bathroom Good food served on a lovely terrace
Review 23:Staying in Ansia Hotel was truly an experience. This small, family-owned retail, run by Mehmet and his wife, offers everything required for a romantic hideaway. The rooms are superb: modern, yet adapted to the local style. Food is all home-made, delicious and served with pride. The hotel offers a stunning view from its roof terrace. We can only recommend Ansia...
Review 24:I loved the quality received for the price paid. Mehmet and Ozlem are great hosts and they did their best to make my stay memorable. their rooms are new, clean and feels like home. No need to eat around. They have great cuisine with healthy and affordable tastes. I travel to Cappadoccia many times every year and this is the best accommodation ever!
Review 25:Everything as perfect!
Review 26:The breakfast was super nice. I never seen it before that kind of breakfast in My other staying. The helper was so professional. The place is very well designed. Clean rooms, comfy beds and all of the place has new brand furnitures. I highly recommend it!!! Five start!!!
Review 27:Better to choose upper rooms for quite environment.
Review 28:Excellent location and well decorated hotel. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Spectacular view with deicious breakfast. We strongly suggest to everyone to stay Ansia.
Review 29:We really felt like coming home; the hotel is very nice and the food we got was very delicious. The view is splendid and the owners gave us excellent advices where to go and what to do, we just enjoyed our stay.
Review 30:We had a really warm welcome and a great stay in a splendid place. In Uchisar it's not as busy as Göreme, the view is far better. Ansia hotel is a great boutique hotel, where we will come back.
Review 31:This is a real family house. Once you enter, you get all the attention. Although I made only a BB reservation I got all amenities gratis. Mount Erciyes gave a very clear view in the morning. Excellent
Review 32:Thank you Mehmet and Ozlem, you are perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and you exceeded our expectations. The room and views were excellent as was the breakfast, although cold outside our room was always cosy and warm. Mehmets advice on what to see and do served us well, we found places that we would never have found alone, also the balloon flight he arranged for us was brilliant. Once again thank you for a wonderful stay. Inshallah we will return and highly recommend staying here rather that the larger impersonal hotels.
Review 33:Currenty the areas in immediate proximity to the hotel are a bit in decay. However this may rather be seen as a pro, since it makes for a quiet environment without another hotel next door.
Review 34:Brand new hotel, built very well, offering great comfort. Great mix of old and new. Bathrooms are not huge but very comfortably sized and very beautiful. Breakfast and cuisine is outstanding. The care the owners take for their guests is absolutely fantastic. They will give advice for activities, reserve hotels for your next destination or organize virtually anything you may be in need of. Great view over Cappadocia (Göreme and surroundings).
