Review 1：Need to check the chemical level on the spa. My whole family was affected by the fume from the chemical. Probably too much chemicals.

Review 3：We stayed only one night at this hotel. We spent the whole day skiing in Whistler and wanted a place to sleep before going back to Vancouver. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean, good size and very confortable. Although there was many families with young children, it was very quiet. The bonus was the breakfast. Simple and fresh. The muffin that I got was still warm from the oven!!

Review 6：Breakfast was a very chaotic mess. Large hockey teams were staying at the hotel so breakfast was a disaster. No tables, no seats available. Kept running out of food. Set up was not great for that many people and we had expected a full continental breakfast but choices available were cereal, toast or bagels. Invest in more staff to clean and stock the area if you know your going to be busy and invest in a waffle or pancake maker and make the serving area more manageable. There isn't enough counter space to make a bowl of cereal and pour milk into it from a 2 liter jug, while managing not to spill.

Review 10：The pool was great. Rooms are brand new and very clean. The Polar Express railway way only 4 minutes away. The staff have excellent food recommendations (and directions).

Review 17：I have no idea what type of hotel this place thinks it is. Breakfast was our worst experience anywhere in the world truly. Think hospital and you are presented with cardboard bowls for cereal paper plates and plastic knives forks and spoons no tray and clear your table after in a big bin. Choice poor and coffee the usual dark thin liquid. To the Sandman I would say don't offer it if you are not serious and the staff weren't either.

Review 30：This hotel is situated in the outer reaches of Squamish; it is quite hidden from view.... you will certainly need a car!

When we checked in, there was one poor gal working the front desk, answering the phone, etc. When we had breakfast, I noticed a fellow emptying the garbage & cleaning up. He then took our info for check out. I am very unimpressed by the lack of staffing as this puts an unnecessary burden on the staff who are working their shifts. The room was a little run down as well; missing lightbulbs; a dirty washcloth left in the shower.

Many food options were running low or completely out, the juice machine was broken, and she was so busy running around that she was unable to satisfy the demands of the customers at breakfast. There was also no waffle-maker, which I found odd since that is typically standard in most continental breakfast hotels.

Review 55：Loved the slide into the pool. The free WiFi and breakfast is the reason we picked this hotel. The location was great since it blocked road noise with a big line of trees.

Another negative point is the wifi, which worked very poorly. Usually I wouldn't care about this but for the money paid I was expecting something more.

Review 64：The continental breakfast left much to be desired. The hard boiled eggs were not fresh looking, almost frozen so they were too rubbery to eat. The toasters took too long for the busyness of the place. There were a whole bunch of families with kids staying this weekend for tournaments and they were packing the hallways and blocking regular movement and were very loud. It's not the kids' fault but I wish staff had had time to ask the parents to keep the kids in their rooms. This was also unfortunate timing for me as the pool was too crowded to do my regular laps.

Review 66：The walls between us and our neighbours were ridiculously thin. It blocked about as much sound as window sheers. We were up as late as the neighbours, regardless of whether we wanted to be. Very disappointing.

A enjoyable drive to Whistler, not far from downtown Squamish, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying at Sandman for my next ski escape.

(Probably a booking.com problem and not the hotel itself) The air conditioning is loud and when you set the temperature it comes on and off throughout the night. Perhaps there is a way to just leave it running so it doesn't wake us each time it switches on or off. By the time we got to breakfast at 8:45 there were slim pickings. There were no staff around. I would like them to replace things as they run out (eggs, yogurt, various bread products etc).
