Reviews for Parkhotel

Review 1:If you own a nice design hotel where mainly everything is in white color you need to renovate in time. - the carpet is full of stains - the silicone in the badroom is full of fungi - the walls need to be repainted - the curtains don't glide any more - the sliding door of the badroom is stuck - the mattress needs to be replaced - ... We specific asked for a non-smoking room however the room smelled like we're in a ashtray. Also the corridor and main lobby smelled like that. The walls are made from cardboard because you can hear everything. Dogs that are barking, people that are puking, people that are talking/running in the hallway, the maid that is cleaning rooms from 8 AM and slamming doors. If there is a tv programme like Extreme make over HOME edition we could film here the HOTEL edition for sure.

Review 2:I liked the idea of going back to the hotel because my previous experiences, 7 and 4 years ago where outstanding. In the early days it was a nice 'hip and trendy' design hotel but today the glory is completely gone. The hotel was easy to access but the city of Roeselare changed the configuration of the square in front of the hotel so now you have to drive around 15' to find the acces. However the hotel is in a nice area in the middle of the city.

Review 3:Staff was helpful, bath was a bonus, very light and spacious room, windows could actually let in fresh air, safe area, close to station, modern and clean

Review 4:getting to park as signposting and access poor decoration in some rooms a little worn

Review 5:helpfulness and friendliness of staff. location in town centre great choice of well cooked & presented breakfast

Review 6:The bathroom in the junior suite was bizarre. The plexiglass walls were terrible. There was no privacy for showering or even for brushing your teeth. The door to the bathroom was stuck so you couldn't close it but it was also glass so it wouldn't have made a difference. The "free parking" was in front of the hotel and was a mishmash of random parking. Hard to get into and out of the lot down an alley. Breakfast room was so warm the cheese was melting which made the breakfast unappetizing.

Review 7:The recommendation from the night desk clerk for a restaurant in the area. Despite the unappealing location, the hotel was quiet during the night.

Review 8:it would be better if there was air conditioning; on hot summer days the rooms heat up, do not manage to cool down, and the windows do not have mosquito screens so mosquitoes have open season...

Review 9:However the plastic mug in the room came out of tune with all the other nice things. It was difficult to hold and surely a ceramic one is not that expensive to bring up to the level of the hotel

Review 10:Location and Facilities as expected

Review 11:it was quite dirty at the lobby, had to change the room due to wrong allocation - my room was not cleaned at all, so had to return and asked for another one. breakfast - no choice, very bad service...

Review 12:price was reasonable, railway access 1 min, restaurants 1 min

Review 13:No carpets meant it was very noisy, poeple dragging chairs etc on floor above. dogs barking in another room during the night. window frame broken, unsafe to open. walls and floors scuffed all over, very bland interiors.

Review 14:Central Roeselare, nice cleaners, free parking. had a bath

Review 15:only that I could not change stirling anywhere, but was a weekend and no fault of hotel.

Review 16:the hotel is exactly where we wanted, near to cafe's, bars and shops. Some of my family could not get taxi to another hotel so came to mine(park hotel) late at night, and the staff helped them no end. thanks

Review 17:Tapistry in the corridor has smel, which is "covered" with strong parfum...a bit too strong. Fortunately this is not the case in the rooms.

Review 18:The friendliness of the staff, willing to help for every detail.

Review 19:We were assisted by a blond lady who was very helpfull in telling us about the best waffles and a place to repair our car. She was very friendly. The hotel has a modern feel and everything is up to good standard. Would go there again.

Review 20:Staff - friendly and helpful Well appointed room and comfortable bed Location a couple of minutes from the railway station and close to the town centre Good value breakfast

Review 21:We paid for the Park Hotel and got put into the overflow 'hotel' as the Park was overbooked .. Below our room was a very noisy bar which sounded like we were in a disco until 4am ...hence lack of sleep.. When wanting to make coffee in the morning we discovered water in the kettle which was stagnant and had obviously been there more than 'a while' ...The entrance to our 'hotel' was very dirty and dated and the smell of cigarettes and 'not just cigarettes' was evident throughout the corridors ... Our room itself was actually very comfortable and nice with fresh clean linen. I recommend anyone booking makes sure there is enough rooms at the proper 'Inn' as it looked far superior to the one we were allocated...

Review 22:Staff upon arrival excellent - given we arrived in the middle of the night

Review 23:Dirty entrance to building where rooms were (not Hotel reception) located.

Review 24:Friendly staff. Good bathroom facilities & large spacious room with view of plaza.

Review 25:the rooms (paintwork & curtains) look like they could do with a good clean or update

Review 26:the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was excellent

Review 27:.- 12€ for a short breakfast, without any fresh fruit, vegetables or even quality juice. .- Located in a pedestrian area. .- I arrived late to the parking, and it was full. The lady just replied "when it's full it is full".

Review 28:Lift not working, very steep and narrow stairs. Water damage in room. Very noisy at night. Dirty skirting boards and floor. No cups for coffee supplied. Insect bites to more than one guest overnight.

Review 29:Location

Review 30:Good location. Superb bed. Free parking nice staff

Review 31:- room & bathroom - free private sauna & jacuzzi - free ( limited ) parking - location ( train station & restaurants )

Review 32:Easy to find but to get a car there requires skill!!!!

Review 33:Room as good as it gets at any price. Local shops very good.

Review 34:Nice welcome from helpful receptionist to this recently refurbished hotel opposite the bus & train station.

Review 35:I liked the location and the staff was very kind

Review 36:Need better pillows

Review 37:Bed was small, cobwebs on ceiling

Review 38:The staff couldn't have been more helpful ! The menu wasn't extensive, but more than adequate, and the parking and wifi were great

Review 39:Bedroom backed on to street which was noisy. Bed too soft and too hot despite radiator being off.

Review 40:Receptionist and breakfast

Review 41:signposting to the car park not very good

Review 42:central to the town - friendly staff - comfy bed

Review 43:Politeness and respect of the staff and the ready to do attitude.

Review 44:Signs for getting to hotel car park

Review 45:Comfy Bed -- Good Breakfast

Review 46:location, Exellent bed matres, good brekfast

Review 47:Some humiditeit was steen in Some THE corridors

Review 48:Room was excellent, receptio very friendly and efficient

Review 49:Doors are noisy to close

Review 50:Large modern rooms Coffee in room Quiet area

Review 51:Window broken. Smells cigarette in room. No toiletbrush.

Review 52:Price. Localisation.

Review 53:stored our cycles in a lock up. marked our map with points of interest

Review 54:Breakfast was satisfactory. Nothing bad, just nothing great.

Review 55:Rooms were comfortable. A garage was available to store bicycles.

Review 56:Bathroom with Jacuzzi did not work The room needs a urgent makeover.

Review 57:I was travelling with two colleagues and there seemed a lot of inconsistency between rooms. Only 1 of the three had coffee facilities. Only 1 had instructions on how to use the bath and one had Wifi code. Was also quite noisy from close proximity to street.

Review 58:Location for town centre was excellent

Review 59:Not much of a choice for breakfast. Could be annoying if staying for longer than 2-3 nights and could be better for 10 EUR it costs.

Review 60:Lady on check in was most welcoming and gave us great recommendation for restaurant to have a diner. Location is perfect and I really don't understand those who didn't like it.

Review 61:Small flat cushions

Review 62:Calm but central location. The no-nonsense attitude of the staff: when checking in (for work) no extra credentials were asked, when checking out I could leave the key without queing up

Review 63:Going on what is included for the price I have no negatives wirthmentioning

Review 64:Friendly reservations staff, happy to help with restaurantrecommendations and taxi bookings.. In good english :-)

Review 65:Paid 100 Euro, would not pay this much for a hotel of this standard in the UK. Assumed rates were higher due to events on in area at the time. Hotel board identified walk-in rates 74-125 Euro. Cold and basic room decor, bathroom floor tiles a mess. Basically a cheap build.

Review 66:Good location for bars/shops. Decent sized bathroom with bath. On-site parking. Free wifi.

Review 67:difficult to locate on a rainy evening exacerbated by works on nearby station

Review 68:excellent room convenient for lots of Flanders ,as always in Flanders god food available nearby

Review 69:The fire escape arrangements would not have passed in the UK. They need attention. The exit route was not lit and was blocked by a spare bed. Fortunately the hotel did not go on fire when we were there.

Review 70:The breakfast buffet was excellent, one of the best ever. The room was clean, the TV worked, the shower worked, the toilet worked, the room was quiet, no noise from other rooms.Although we were visiting family it is a fact that Roeselare has excellent shopping for a fairly small town.

Review 71:I have stopped here before on a number of occasions. Last year you couldnot drive to the hotel due to road works. I eventually got to the hotel, however at the end of a long day driving fighting with the road worksand confusing signs it was the last I wanted to do. It would have beennice if there was mention of this on website.

Review 72:Central to Roeselare clean and functional

Review 73:Unfortunately the room was situated over the reception and we could hear other guests leaving from around 6:30 am onwards apart from this, we were very pleased with the room and the hotel in general.

Review 74:Central Location with secure parking facility. We had a family room (2 adults & 1 child) which was large and spacious, with a large double bed and a pull out sofa bed which were ample. The room had a small kitchen with fridge and microwave both of which came in handy.

Review 75:Walls of the hotel are thin, hence you can hear your neighboors arriving and leaving.

Review 76:Rooms are nice. Free WiFi in the rooms Hotel is in the downtown area

Review 77:This is the second time I've stayed at the Park Hotel. Its a very friendly, comfy, clean hotel with a good location. When I next come on business I'll stay here again.
