Reviews for Best Western Plus King's Inn and Suites

Review 1:It's pricey, but I guess that's what happens when it's the only place for 50 miles that is really nice. There was a problem with the breakfast room one morning when someone called in sick, and one helper didn't do much of anything. The manager got involved to help clear up rude customer messes, though. Don't let this deter you!

Review 2:Just about everything was perfect and we couldn't ask for a better place to stay. It was lovely, the breakfasts were really good for a hotel. The staff was quality, through and through.

Review 3:The train goes by the back of this property. It did not wake me up, but I was surprised at how loud it was when I got up at 6 a.m.

Review 4:It was easy to make a reservation online, and I especially appreciated not having to guarantee our reservation since we weren't sure we could get as far as Kingman that night. When I checked in, I asked for a quiet location on the second floor since I'm a light sleeper. No problem. Very clean, quiet room, comfortable bed, nice breakfast included.

Review 5:Had a tapping noise either above the ceiling or in wall. Could not figure it out. It was sporadic and made it difficult to get to sleep.

Review 6:Liked the beds very much. Room was spacious and clean.

Review 7:We arrived late and due to high occupancy been offered a handicap room, which was a bit odd but ok. However, due to location of the room deep in a corner of a building it was impossible to connect to wireless internet. You literally need to make 2 meters out of the room door to catch wi-fi. When complained to the front desk we have received "out-of-the-box" advise from the front desk lady to connect and login in the hotel lobby and bring internet back to the room :) In the morning we also discovered that there was no water in the shower and tap, just few drops. Though we been offered to fix the issue (morning front desk lady was much more helpful) we did not have time for it and just check-out. It's quite a shame since beside these 2 things the hotel was actually very good.

Review 8:Modern facilities, nice breakfast, convenient location. Friendly staff (but unfortunately not all the shifts).

Review 9:I liked everything about this property.

Review 10:This property was terrific! Our room was spacious, and very clean. The staff was most helpful, and the breakfast selection was great.

Review 11:Good location for traveling through and need a place to spend the night. Great hotel especially for the money. The staff is exceptional...I left something valuable behind and they called me before I was even out of Kingman and let me know they had found it!

Review 12:hot tub not useable end of October

Review 13:big room, good beds, motelstyle. even a small swimmingpool and a hot tub, which was Oct 28 not heated. a breakfast was also served. the ladies working there were really busy in keeping up with what we had emptied:)!

Review 14:I'm very picky about the mattress I sleep in and I was pleased with the bed and sheets. The room looked very nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 15:breakfast room was much too small, there were no plates, no coffee, not a lot of food, while asking they just brought 4 plates and 2 cups of coffee - but at least there is breakfast, even is it not mentioned on booking.com page

Review 16:outside pool, inside spa pool, big rooms, direct on Route66

Review 17:Smell of room, the carpet was wet, coffee cups splashed with coffee from previous guests, cups were not replaced. Childs toy left from previous guest. Received a call from front desk complaining about the dog barking at the constant noise from other guests before 10 pm on a Saturday..after the noise was a little more quit..so was the dog. $123.00 for a total disappointment. I asked to talk to the manager, of course they weren't available.

Review 18:Location

Review 19:Like most hotels in Kingman, it is close to the Santa Fe southern main line. Trains run constantly. Sound proofing was not so good, Conversation could be heard outside all around the room.

Review 20:Breakfast was good. Large vanity Good shower Great bed. On old US 66 Those who draw a room on the ground floor can park in front of the door.

Review 21:The second night we stayed in another room , on the upper floor but there are train crossing all night making too much noise. Also there was a weird noise from ventilation system . The first night in the 1st floor there was no problem

Review 22:AC is loud.

Review 23:Its not brand new but its proper and very clean. The people a very service oriented and helpful. We are travelling often and this was a very pleasant surprise.

Review 24:Area around hot tub wasn't clean We arrived early for check in but there was apparently nowhere that we could leave our bags while we headed off for lunch. Pretty unusual

Review 25:Friendly staff even if they couldn't provide space for our bags (see below!) Breakfast was great

Review 26:No bad experiences just sorry we were only there for one night

Review 27:Absolutely everything. From the"Irish" laddie at reception to the breakfast, the comfortable rooms, fabulous shower. I would go back there in a heartbeat if I was ever again in the area.

Review 28:Kingmaker is a railroad town and it is impossible to escape the sound of freight trains but other than that this is a well run, clean and tidy motel. Staff are really good and take pride in thier site.

Review 29:The bed creaked

Review 30:Great motel with great facilities at an amazing price. The rooms are huge and well equipped. The pool is lovely. Great place to stay if visiting The Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam.

Review 31:nothing really

Review 32:Loved the upgraded shower with stylish tile and place to sit. Also loved comfortable bed and nice furniture. Above average motel experience.

Review 33:The hot breakfast was very poor. Most of the hot food was gone. Some of the guest took several plates of food leaving other guests without. The staff did not refill the food.

Review 34:Anna was very nic

Review 35:The staff was super informative and helpful with any questions we had! Gave great suggestions for places to eat and visit. Aftwr we checked out we left a cooler that we intended to throw away and they called us promptly after we checked out to let us know we left something behind! Courteous and extremely polite and helpful from front desk to the housekeeping staff!

Review 36:The only thing that was not great was breakfast was so cramped. There was a lot of seating area, but the actually buffet was hard to get through. They need to spread out all the meal choices so you don't feel like you're on top of the person next to you.

Review 37:Friendly staff, close to dining choices.

Review 38:Breakfast room fairly congested... Get there early.

Review 39:Wonderful large room. Liked the suite so our older sons had their own space. Large double vanity located outside of shower/toilet room which allowed 3 people at a time to be getting ready. Breakfast was delicious.

Review 40:Creepy rude staff worker at front desk was rude checking in and ruder checking out. He was reason we didn't have breakfast...breakfast starts at 6...not 5:58.

Review 41:Great value and comfort.

Review 42:The accommandion was great. But had a crazy thing happen. My wife a gotten out of the shower & when she pulled the hair dryer off the wall a huge roach came out from behind it. Wasn't good!

Review 43:Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Modern, updated bathroom with a window and natural light. Helpful staff on front desk. Free breakfast included.

Review 44:Salle de petit déjeuner trop petite, comme presque toujours !

Review 45:Un bon Best Western, au milieu de la partie emblématique de la Route 66, entre Oatman et Seligman, Kingman étant elle même d'un grand intérêt.

Review 46:The breakfast offered at Best Westerns are generally good, but this one was exceptional. I probably wouldn't have rated other ones as well as I did if this had been the first on my road trip.

Review 47:Nothing we didn't like

Review 48:Hotel was very nice. The breakfast was outstanding. I think my granddaughter (9 1/2) ate a little of everything. She sometimes is not a good eater, but she put away the breakfast and brought sauage with her to continue our trip.

Review 49:Nothing really

Review 50:Stayed here on the way from LA to GC. Great stay after a long drive. Clean comfy bed, large room, swimming pool, near highway. Discount on neigbouring Mexican restaurant. Good breakfast.

Review 51:At 9pm my carbon monoxide alarm went off. Despite my concerns the staff said it was simply a faulty battery and promptly replaced it. Then at midnight it went off again, waking us all, including my 5 year old. I was told to simply remove it from the wall and everything would be ok! I insisted on a new room. Manager wouldn't talk to me and they tried to fob me off with a $14 reduction!

Review 52:Breakfast

Review 53:The person in the breakfast room. very rude. things were not kept stalked, people had to even wait for plates. Not enough seating.

Review 54:The room was great. Good Location.

Review 55:I usually stay at La Quinta because they are pet friendly and do not charge extra. I had to pay $8 each for my 2 dogs. I also was confused with 2 Best Westerns in close proximity in Kingman. I went to the wrong one, but they called to confirm I was at the other one , then directed me there.

Review 56:Very clean and comfortable. Price was perfect. The full breakfast was beyond belief and I got a great start on the day's drive because of it. I appreciated a pet friendly hotel on my trip and the hotel was just in the right city for my stop. Highly recommended.

Review 57:Easy check-in, friendly staff who could direct us to local attractions. Quiet room even though on the main road. Best breakfast service on our trip so far. Good value for money. We would book in again.

Review 58:Pillows were hard. Cleaning cart was very loud back and forth over the cracks all.. day.., also cig smoke coming into bathroom windows/loud chatting from staff below window.

Review 59:Microwave, fridge, staff, coverlet, clean.

Review 60:Considering the size of the room, the bathroom was teeny tiny.

Review 61:Great value for the price. Really large and comfy rooms with sofa bed and new flatscreen tvs.

Review 62:Staff at front desk went out if their way to help with information. I wanted to get a pedicure and they came up wit phone #'s and directions. And this on a Friday night. Great pedi by the way.

Review 63:I've stayed twice in the last month and the only thing I've had an issue with was in the first room I stayed in. It had a sewer smell in the bathroom area. But the second room i stayed in had no issues at all!

Review 64:The rooms are nice and clean. It's next to several places to eat within walking distance and that's always a plus! I felt safe there being a female that was traveling alone, so that was the most important thing to me!

Review 65:It's my fault since when I made the reservation, I didn't notice it was not able to be cancelled. We had planned to stay two nights but for health reasons, we had to return home. We had to pay for two nights even though we stayed one night.

Review 66:The room was clean, the bed was comfortable.

Review 67:Bad coffee everywhere!

Review 68:Quiet, considering the trains that run along I-40. Got a good night's sleep. Easy access to highway. There aren't any high level restaurants in Kingman but there are a couple of good ones.

Review 69:Poor choice in breakfast. Keep in mind that after 9 pm it's very hard to find a good place to have dinner in this area.

Review 70:Looks like a motel in a gangster movie. If you like to feel yourself as a hero of the movie who is trying to run from the murders - it's a good choice! Wifi was good and works in all areas. The hotel is located on historic 66 route.

Review 71:The only thing I didnt like was the carpet was outdated and a little dirty the soaps and shampoos could be better and the towels were in bad shape. But like I said everthing else was great

Review 72:The room was perfect nice and big .good location. Shower was great .wifi was great everything was good.

Review 73:The hot food area of the breakfast was very constricted and in a corner. Only one person at a time can use it. It should be rearranged. There is plenty of room to do that.

Review 74:parking, beds

Review 75:Nothing that we did not like

Review 76:Spacious room , comfy bed Parking right outside the room Very helpful staff Great breakfast Right on Route 66 !! Good fun . Very convenient location for overnight stop enroute to Grand Canyon

Review 77:For me this was only a stop over on my way to Sedona and Grand Canyon. Breakfast is included but really nothing to use much time on. Ventilation could be better.

Review 78:The location by the Highway is good. From here you can choose to continue follow the highway towards Grand Canyon or take a little extra time and drive Route 66 for some miles. The room was clean.

Review 79:Breakfast a bit too basic and breakfast room a bit cramped, but both adequate, though.

Review 80:Nice, large and clean room, hotel located very close to the interstate and local eateries.

Review 81:On arrival we found half eaten food in the bedside cabinet, there was blood on the bed sheet and the room smelt damp and musty. The room was also infested with fruit flies that landed in your drink and left us with nasty bites! When we tried to report these problems to staff they just smirked and didn't seem to care. There was also ongoing building work within the reception area which was unsightly. Would definitely not recommend!

Review 82:The breakfasts were good however the set up was crammed and very busy.

Review 83:Easily accessed from I-40. A great value for the money. Clean and very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to New Mexico.

Review 84:Nothing not to like

Review 85:Good location just off the main road, but far enough back from the road to not hear traffic, and easy to find because off main road. Hot breakfast included in the room rate which came as a nice surprise. Able to park outside room motel style.

Review 86:Nothing you could change there is renos going on and it was hard to reach the continental breakfast.

Review 87:Beds very comfortable, pool great, nice clean rooms.

Review 88:Nothing

Review 89:Space in room Layout ("old fashion" but works much better than smaller newer hotels) Very clean Location Size of beds Pleasant breakfast room.

Review 90:After a long day of driving, we were extremely happy about our accommodations. The bed always makes us a bit nervous, but this was a wonderful, comfortable and cozy bed. We would never stay in any other hotel. Staff very helpful, and gave us places to eat yummy. Would recommend this hotel! One more thing breakfast delicious happy, happy, happy

Review 91:Friendliness of reception staff (changed our rooms so we could check in early, made sure we had quiet rooms (i.e. not over the laundry, in case we wanted to sleep in...) Really attentive breakfast staff

Review 92:Nothing to dislike

Review 93:Everything was superb! The breakfast had everything you may want, too much to list but best of all it was hot ! Lovely clean pool so needed at the end of a long drive .

Review 94:Renovation work in lobby meant no room at all and very dusty. Bedroom decor needs brightening up. Noisy air con.

Review 95:Room very spacious and comfortable, shower was gorgeous. Good breakfast

Review 96:There was nothing about the hotel we would change. Kingman itself isn't pretty but it makes a good stopping point between the Grand Canyon and California.

Review 97:We are travelling around staying in motels and this was one of the best. A great room, very comfortable bed, great pool and the inclusive hot breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended. Also it is next to a fantastic restaurant, Oysters.

Review 98:- Light coming in through the window even during night! - Rooms right next to parking lot --> no opportunity of sleeping in after 7

Review 99:- Very nice breakfast - Big TV - Big rooms

Review 100:Bed sucked, asked for wake up call which came 10 minutes late, absolutely no ( zero) cell reception, breakfast starts at six (5 wouldhave been nice)

Review 101:Wifi speeds were good. Huge shower head/beautiful bathroom, changedme to smoking room with no hassle

Review 102:Was a last minute choice to stay in Kingman but this hotel made it worthwhile. Everything was excellent, rooms were large and immaculate. Breakfast on China plates too.

Review 103:The rooms (3) that our little group had were to be non-smoking. They were all obviouly used as smoking as they reeked of stale smoke and a deoderizer to cover the smell. If you want a non-smoking room go elsewhere, we all will in the future!

Review 104:Location and cleanliness

Review 105:Nothing!!

Review 106:The staff was outstanding and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend over the overpriced and unfriendly LaQuenta Inn we were forced to stay in!!!

Review 107:noise from air con but to be fair it was very hot and the air con had to work hard . Thin walls, we could hear the conversations from the next rooms

Review 108:Staff, rooms, location

Review 109:There were no complains from our side!

Review 110:The room was very comfy and very clean. We came from Grand Canyon and the 2 1/2 hour drive was worth it not to book a hotel in Williams or Flagstaff when heading for Las Vegas. Awesome international breakfast. Why don't other Best Western Hotel have this!!! Our room was very luxurary and we will book again next year in Summer 2015.

Review 111:Breakfast was a bit basic.

Review 112:The hotel is a great stop for an overnight sleep if you are heading to or back from Grand Canyon. It is directly on the historic Route 66. All the restaurants are rather close to the hotel. Swimming pool and jacuzzi are a great way to relax after a long drive.

Review 113:Our room was attacked by flies. My husband killed close to two dozen ofthem. Lobby is doing an upgrade to include an elevator which will begreat in the future.

Review 114:The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. They loved thefull breakfast that was served in the morning...that gave thisestablishment high marks with the guys.

Review 115:It's near a railroad, and you can hear the trains at night.

Review 116:The pool area was very clean, and they offered rags for car/motorcycle wash. The room was nice and the shower was big.

Review 117:our room smelled like old smoke from cigarettes.

Review 118:american breakfast is excellent. wide variety of choices and delicious treats. possibility to sit in shower:)

Review 119:Clearly an older hotel (phone in the bathroom!) Could use some updating of the building, but we would stay there again.

Review 120:Hot breakfast including eggs and sausage. Very nice, since we were just passing through.

Review 121:Neighborhood around hotel not the best--would prefer to stay in town or area with nice view. Few good restaurants in area.

Review 122:Nicely furnished room, comfortable bed, clean, good breakfast, easy to find.

Review 123:Construction. No elevator. Breakfast area toooooo small for the crowd. Priced tooooo high. Worth about $89 per night.

Review 124:Location next to a wonderful Mexican Resturant

Review 125:There was construction going on in the main lobby, which was no big deal. But, we couldn't see if they were going to make the breakfast area bigger. That was the only problem we found. Not enough tables and seating area to eat.

Review 126:It was wonderful to come into a room that was so clean and smelled so fresh. All the employes were friendly. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful. The ladies who were in the kitchen were so helpful and kept the food well stocked.

Review 127:did not get a discount for x military, aaa etc.

Review 128:clean

Review 129:Very good value/price ratio. Nice hotel.

Review 130:nothing

Review 131:Large and comfort room

Review 132:The front curtains didn't close fully.

Review 133:The bed was very comfortable.

Review 134:Bathroom small. Huge shower though. Parking iffy

Review 135:The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
