Reviews for Sea Crest Beach Hotel

Review 1:condescending front desk clerk didn't notify me about the availability of the facilities for the same day as check out. On site restaurant was disappointing.

Review 2:Enjoyed the ocean side room. Pool and hot tub was a welcome relaxation spot.

Review 3:Great location and very clean. Staff is friendly. Check in and check out went smoothly. It is a little pricey in season so we prefer to go in the off season but well worth it!

Review 4:requested a quiet room. they put two families with young children next door. the floor shook for an hour or so until a call to the office. Then the noise got louder until lights out. :(

Review 5:beautiful seaside location. nice pool and fitness area.

Review 6:Not much really.

Review 7:Beautiful beachfront location. Quiet, serene room. Upscale linens, well appointed. Nice pool and fitness rooms. Was upgraded to beach front with a balcony, nice touch!

Review 8:Noise level was high to very high at times. Groups of young children sports leagues running up and down hallways without adult supervision, up and down stairs during evening hours but not overnights. Won't stay again though location was great. Family friendly I understand but this was ridiculous. Lobby staff did not stop them from running, jumping and even cartwheeling! Shameful.

Review 9:Location was great as was room, clean and welcoming. Staff was helpful mostly. Fitness area/pool excellent.

Review 10:Restaurant staff not particularly friendly; waitress was slow and looked like she was doing us a favour. Waited far too long for a desert despite there being only another couple of tables.

Review 11:Great feeling when you walk into the foyer. Room comfortable, pool facilities excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth staying in for evening meal which was very good and not over-priced. Worth spending a bit more for the sea view as the sun sets right in front (in October).

Review 12:Seating Staff at breakfast did not seem to know what was going on and not very responsive.

Review 13:Family friendly, great pool and great got tub. Very nice to be able to make coffee in your bed room. Great breakfast buffet.

Review 14:The beach towel system as you have to fo all the way back inside the hotel to get another rowel when you are on the beach. There should be more service on the beach.

Review 15:The sand on our feet as we just step out of our room. The friendly waiters at the restaurant. The friendly staff putting up chairs and umbrellas for you.

Review 16:I didn't like the fact that you had to ask for housekeeping to change your towels/sheets as I am on vacation and that is a luxury for me.

Review 17:The lovely bar tender who was outside by the pool from the Caribbean, he was awesome!!!! Great breakfast! Incredible sunsets!!!

Review 18:I thought it was very poor value for money. Rooms were nothing special and our bathroom very very small.

Review 19:I like the beach location. The buffet breakfast .

Review 20:If I had to think of something it would be that the bed was very creaky. But that is having to think about it.

Review 21:The sea crest had everything you could need right there. They were helpful and friendly and my 14 month old daughter was not out of place there with lots of families with young children. We would defiantly stay again.

Review 22:The fact that we only stayed two days. I thought it was a little pricey. If we had stayed for the week it would have been around $2000 maybe more

Review 23:Loved the beach. Red's was a good restaurant. Staff were very pleasant th

Review 24:The room had flies in it, air conditioner barely worked, TV came in fuzzy and barley had three channels that worked and those were very fuzzy, not to mention mold in shower. Was pet friendly as long as you hide your pet from everyone. Pets are not allowed on property at all....which makes walking a dog challenging. Our dog is 5 pounds well traveled and well behaved (not barking or fusing). We were promised a dog basket with toy and goddess for our dog....nothing when we arrived. They even advertise it on their website. Variety of restaurants on property is deceiving. All serve same items just cleverly renamed Red's Boardwalk, Red's Restaurant. When I told the front desk about issues in room. Nothing was done to compensate us.

Review 25:The location was right on the beach. Staff on beach very friendly setting up chairs with towels for you. Wait staff on breach very friendly, food and drinks delivered to your beach chair a nice positive.

Review 26:bar and lunch menu - difficult to eat out on the beach; lack of beach wait staff for ordering drinks and snacks on the beach

Review 27:Was very accommodating when I could only get a king room

Review 28:SeaCrest is the perfect resort! Right on the ocean, friendly staff, on-site restaurants, great service, nicely appointed rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor bar, beautiful grounds. This is our "little piece of Caribbean" on the Cape!

Review 29:only one restaurant open for dinner - the beautiful breakfast room is always closed - even with no function going on. Red's is it - and a large part of Red's is not air conditioned.

Review 30:location is right on beach with everything you need - chairs/towels/etc

Review 31:I went for breakbeat and did not want the breakfast buffet, I wanted a bowl of oatmeal and I had to pay 13.95 for just a bowl of oatmeal ,

Review 32:The service was excellent , rooms were clean.

Review 33:No bad experiences/

Review 34:The service was top shelf. We stayed in an ocean view room which we liked. We had a few initial concerns which were handled quickly to our satisfaction.

Review 35:We arrived at stated check-in time, but our room wasn't ready until over an hour later. Also we asked the office for sheets for the pull out bed. They said they would bring them to us but they didn't. We had to call 4 hours later and then they brought them. The same thing happened with extra towels the second day.

Review 36:You guys should done something about those doors that's right they don't slam when people close them and if u don't needed room service the stuff shouldn't call or knock the door to ask if u needed service

Review 37:The location and the rooms are nice

Review 38:The beds are so tightly made that getting in is like being strapped to a gurney. You need to loosen the bedclothes at the foot of the bed to enable them to reach your shoulders, resulting in the undersized top sheet coming loose.

Review 39:Music at Red's for St.Patrick's Day. Great indoor pool and spa.

Review 40:Ocean view room over looks the pool .. With the ocean in the background. Not what I call an ocean view room. I've stayed in numerous ocean view rooms and this by far is one I would not call an "ocean view room"

Review 41:Not a practical hotel.. Don't have easy acess to the little things like ice and vending machines .. Indoor pool is very noisy with children and the choline smell is nauseating .

Review 42:Friendly and warm welcome without the usual "up-selling" that one receives in US hotels. even the resturant staff were accommodating and helpful when we wanted room service without a fuss.

Review 43:The air vent in the bathroom, looked old and had what looked like spider webs. It's a inexpensive part to replace in a room that otherwise was fantactick and clean. It doesen't belong.

Review 44:The staff all were very friendly and helpful.

Review 45:Very loud with kids. You could hear everything in next rooms. Not walking distance to town

Review 46:Right at the beach. Clean and modern. Nice staff. Good breakfast buffet

Review 47:The facility needs major renovations. There were broken glass doors. The halls were dirty and not well kept. The restaurant had a lot of fruit flies.

Review 48:Good location. The staff was helpful.

Review 49:Quite pricey but it is super location.

Review 50:Great location, rooms looking out over the outdoor pool and sea. The rooms were very contemporary and and tastefully decorated, very useful to have a fridge in the room. Staff at the reception desk and in the restaurant very helpful. Lovely pool and hot tub area. Quite a lively bar and decent restaurant.

Review 51:It was a smoke free room but our room beside us were smokers. They were smoking outside sitting in the chairs outside but the smoke was blowing our way. I do not like cigarette smoke at all!

Review 52:Ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 53:Hotel was worn out and cheaply furnished. Fruit flies were all over the breakfast restaurant area. The hallways in the room area were worn out and smelled like mildew/trash. The pool was way too crowded. This place felt like a cheap motel had been upgraded to a hotel. Very poor rooms. Not even remotely worth the price.

Review 54:The beach is fine. The staff is very helpful and polite.

Review 55:Overpriced food - the takeout shack on the property that had food 'to go' was not very high quality. I paid $12 for a sandwich that I could have made myself at home Bed was a little uncomfortable Majority of the bar staff was rude Wasn't a wide selection for television channels, which would have been good for the evenings Hot tub in the indoor pool area desperately needed to be vaccuumed

Review 56:Front desk staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful Hotel room was gorgeous and clean Restaurants were clean and had great views of the ocean Maid service is very thorough Location to town restaurants and shopping was perfect

Review 57:A few surly members of staff ruined our stay and the fact that I was paying five star prices for rooms that were 3 star at best.

Review 58:Location, with a beautiful beach.

Review 59:Very over valued. Old property trying to look newer like lipstick on a pig. Very loud air conditioner with little sleep. Loud kids in all areas of the property. Could have stayed in a five star in Cabo San Lucas for the same about of money. Food was good but overpriced.

Review 60:The service staff was excellent with prompt service and very friendly. Updated baths were good. Front desk was good and efficient.

Review 61:not within a reasonable biking distance from town and shopping so you have to drive if you don't want to eat at seacrest. food wasn't that great poolside.

Review 62:Beach was nice, clean, no bugs. sea-doo and other rentals allow for more to do. plenty of parking, ocean side room was very nice. air conditioning worked well and wasn't too loud.

Review 63:Size of beds..double..!, basic bathroom..., no info in room on hotel..room svc., wifi info, etc

Review 64:Location, accessibility, restaurant, staff. Storage in room.

Review 65:pool area was unruely

Review 66:beach, quiet, and staff willingness to make the stay comfortable.

Review 67:No hot water

Review 68:We didn't get coffee in our room on the third day.

Review 69:Location, facilities, breakfast, indoor pool

Review 70:Great location. Friendly service.

Review 71:Pillows were uncomfortable

Review 72:Front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate any request

Review 73:None

Review 74:The staff was wonderful! Very accommodating, friendly and helpful! They made our stay that much more enjoyable!

Review 75:Location location location

Review 76:The front desk staff was friendly and we were upgraded to an ocean view room, even though we were booked for a standard king size room.

Review 77:Ocean view. Friendly bar staff for a single traveller situation. Large indoor pool. Lots to like.

Review 78:The room looked & 'felt' clean, large room and great view.

Review 79:The location was wonderful the beach was great and clean and the dinning room staff was great

Review 80:Received room location requested when making reservation. Friendliness was excellent.

Review 81:Golf club surrounding

Review 82:Nice area, close to many activities in Cap Cod

Review 83:No elevator for 80 y.o. Grandmother

Review 84:Location beautiful

Review 85:the mattress and room furniture

Review 86:the Beach

Review 87:Price was quite high & breakfast was a bit average for the price.

Review 88:Beachside location

Review 89:Beds creaked and groaned with any movement and AC unit very noisy and kept us awake

Review 90:Over priced for quality of room, bathroom so small no place for toiletries . Carpet worn and stained.

Review 91:Nice beach

Review 92:We had a standard room and looked only and direct on a roof

Review 93:The beach was good and direct in front of the hotel

Review 94:I loved everything Especially the staff. The restaurant hostesses were amazing

Review 95:Everything

Review 96:beds are very old and uncomfortable, bathrooms do not have ventilations.

Review 97:Location, location, location! ( and beach)

Review 98:The convenience of the facilities, and amenities. The location also made it easier for travel.

Review 99:Everything was great.

Review 100:the issues of noise levels and bedroom parties caused real problems over two nights

Review 101:Location is on the perfect place

Review 102:The View and the food it was all very nice

Review 103:Good pool and other facilities, good breakfast room, great omelets.

Review 104:restaurant food was fair We stayed in November and the outside access to pool area was very cold- need an interior access

Review 105:Pool and hot tub were great

Review 106:Not much within walking distance

Review 107:Sea view rooms good

Review 108:Too much clorine in the indoor swimming pool. No ice machine on the third floor - major inconvenience.

Review 109:Excellent service from the front desk staff.

Review 110:Loud air conditioner in room

Review 111:Very overpriced for a small room with no view.

Review 112:The air conditioning was slightly noisy but not unbearable that would be my only fault

Review 113:Firstly the staff were very polite and extremely helpful nothing was ever a problem. The hotel was lovely with a great pool and gym area. The bar and restaurant were lovely and food was excellent very good value for money. The beach was beautiful and falmouth was itself is such a lovely place

Review 114:That I was not awarded the rooms I asked at the reservation time. They claim they couldn't call me because booking.com did not provide a contact for me.

Review 115:Freindly and supportive staff

Review 116:The staff was extremely accommodating to our needs and couldn't be any friendlier or helpful. At the reception desk, Gabbie and manager Matt were terrific. The waiters (Steve and from Red's restaurant were especially friendly. We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Cape and would all be happy to stay again at the Sea Crest Hotel.

Review 117:I would like to have a room with a view of the ocean, but being able to step out of the lobby to the beach was a wonderful compromise.

Review 118:I brought my daughters and their children to the Sea Crest Beach Hotel for a few days respit. It was a great option for multi-aged grandchildren and a lovely beach.

Review 119:Amenities such as courtesy coffee in the lobby or continental breakfast. Didn't like Starbucks.

Review 120:Nicely maintained physical facility with excellent staffing. Perfect location.

Review 121:Screaming kids in hallway, view, no elevators, everything froze in refridgerator, tv messed up, short sheeted bed, extra fee for something we didn't use

Review 122:Location

Review 123:When we checked in they put us on 3rd floor instead of 2nd, some mistake on their part. There is no elevator, the stairs were rickety and dirty everyday we were there. The room had 4 hangers {it took 2 days to get extra hangers},broken mini fridge {they replaced on 2nd day}, only drinking cups are paper and plastic, toilet had to be serviced 3 nights in a row. Maid service didn't start cleaning rooms till late afternoon. We had to keep calling desk to request a cleaning, some days they changed sheets and vacuumed. Not everyday, we had to leave cleaning instruction. After we started leaving a tip everyday they showed up in the morning to clean. They also don't inform you that they charge a $15 summer activity fee everyday. This is on top of the $465 a day room fee. The onsite restaurant food as nothing special. You need to eat in downtown Falmouth, which is like 9 miles away. Our building, which was #5 had no ice machine. We had to walk down the very hot 3 flight stairway {the hallway feels like 100 degrees because no air conditioning and you are right next to the heated pool} to the main lobby. This not a resort for couples.Very family friendly. Also there is no lifeguard on the beach or at the outdoor pool, no supervision at all! In my opinion this is not a resort, just a overpriced motel. You are paying for the location.

Review 124:Being close to the beach, the heated outdoor pool. The beach staff was very helpful.

Review 125:At checkout, the bill included a $20/day "summer activity fee". I felt that that line item on the bill was ripoff!

Review 126:Everything except the line items on the bill.
