Review 1：Room totally different than pictures, heating didn't work, Internet connection poor, water in shower didn't get warm, breakfast room was really cold

Review 2：Nothing about this place was functioning. Broken shower heads, dirty rooms with old dust on the furnitures in the room.

Review 12：We found the Dedem to be an excellent value for money for a one night layover we had connecting in Attaturk Airport. Friendly & helpful staff, clean comfortable room and above average breakfast, even with a espresso machine delivering barista quality coffee. The bread was fresh fresh fresh, and there were good cereal choices too. It was within easy walking distance of a street of neighborhood restaurants and fruit stands where we had dinner and bought the best cherries we've ever tasted. We have stayed in more expensive layover hotels on the same street, but the higher cost is not justified for just a lay over.

Review 37：Everything was good. Staff are very friendly and they know English. They help me with everything. Breakfast was very nice. Metro bus station is 15 meters from hotel. Avcilar area is very big, and near hotel you can have long walks, you can visit boutiques. I will definitely come back again here. For this price, it is the best hotel for sure in Istanbul.

Review 38：really far from everything in Istanbul. If you need to get back to the Hotel at night when the Metro is jam packed expect to pay over 100 TL. beds uncomfortable, walls paper thin, security extremely poor. They use skeleton keys which a child can pick and leave the fire escape doors open on all levels(which means anyone off the streets can walk right in without the knowledge off staff)

Review 48：The hotel is quite far to the city and not an ideal location for atourist. The hotel also had no restaurant but provided breakfast viaroom service in the morning and were very helpful with ordering dinnerfor us from one of the local restaurants.

The reception staff had great customerservice. The locals are really nice and friendly people and if I findmyself again in Turkey, I would definitely pay them a visit.

Aref who is the main guy we deal with as guests was very friendly and helpful... During the riots in Taksim, they took me in for the day until I traveled even though they didn't have to... Will definitely go there again when I revisit Istanbul.

Review 53：* The hotel is basically on a motorway, our room was on the back of the hotel and still we could hear the traffic at night.* Toilet was placed so closed to the wall in front that you had to sit sideways to use it - unless you are a kid. * Only the so called Sales manager was speaking English, though he tried to be as helpful as possible (on most occasions). * On arrival we had to wait for the only english speaking person to come and accommodate us (he had gone out for 10-15 min. and no one else was in position to help). * Expect to travel around 60 minutes to get to the historical centre. * We had the unpleasant experience of having one of the hotel stuff spilling coffee over just recently bought expensive smartphone of ours. The manager didn't want to accept full responsibility for the damage caused by them. Eventually the phone was taken to service and repaired. Though we ended up with phone with voided warranty, and slightly damaged back cover. Just when the phone was returned the sales manager (only person speaking english) disappeared, so we had no idea what has been done to the phone in case there was the need of further repair later on. This eventually delayed our departure with 5 hours and we wasted a lot of nerves.

Review 56：I really enjoyed my stay in the Dedem Hotel, everything was perfect troughout my trip. I want to thank all staff especially night shifter mustafa, he was really nice person overally. He made a turkish coffee at the lobby when I was working on my computer. He is very very helpful. Other than that, location was outstanding. They usually call taxi at night but you can go everywhere in istanbul easily with public transportation. I really want to thank owner of the hotel, he was so kind and polite to me as well.
