Reviews for Quality Inn & Suites Memphis

Review 1:I liked the 2 gentlemen that worked at night when I first got there on Monday. I didn't like the foreign gentlemen who rudely came out and acted to busy to help my friend and I find a place we could go to eat around the area.

Review 2:I liked the breakfast area it was pretty. I also liked my room a lot. The bed was comfortable and the location was exactly where I needed it to be.

Review 3:The toilet ran all night, the blow dryer was out, no snack machine orvending machine on our floor, asked for a handicap room on the firstfloor did not get that, and they overcharged me it was higher thanbooking.com said it would be.

Review 4:Love the front desk clerk he was really cool

Review 5:Professional and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, though 12 miles from downtown did not take long to get there. Awsome Chinese restaraunt across main road behind garage food was excellent.

Review 6:Older hotel and the halls were dark and the carpet was old and musty. Lights flickering on and off in halls. Didn't feel or seem like I was in a comfort inn hotel.

Review 7:Room was clean , had microwave and refrigerator which was decent size. Pool was nice and was gated.

Review 8:I could tell the minute I walked in that smoking was allowed on premises. I thought all hotels had gone non-smoking. If you are not a smoker, this can be miserable. The room was okay though I woke up with a terrible allergic headache. The hallways smelled of covered up smoke. I am very sensitive to smoke so I will just be sure to check in the future.

Review 9:Very friendly personnel. Created a happy environment when you walk in. Pretty landscaping pleasant when you walk up.

Review 10:The condition if the room; red stains in the carpet, a hole in the wall from the door handle, mold growing above the shower, and a smalk hallway that leads to a small & very hot elevator.

Review 11:Didn't really have any complaints. The area where the hotel is located is kinda sketchy though.

Review 12:Staff and accommodations were great. Free hot breakfast was really good too. Comfy beds as well.

Review 13:Asked for more towels the next morning none were available and house keeping was not in yet at 9am The room was not very clean needs to be remodeled in the rooms not just the lobby

Review 14:The breakfast

Review 15:I didn't realize that the hotel was so far from downtown when I booked it. The bathroom needs to be updated and towels too!

Review 16:The breakfast was nice.

Review 17:At breakfast, the fruit was not fresh. Bananas were brown and oranges shriveled.

Review 18:Location-about 15 mins from all the activities we planned; run at Shelby Farms, visit downtown, shop at Wolfchase Galleria.

Review 19:The only thing I did not like was the parking lot was PACKED! I had to park in the back of the building and walk around the entire building. And the shower head was coming off. The lobby made it look a little dark and murky, and so did the hallways. But everything else was fine.

Review 20:The beds were very comfortable. The air condition worked perfectly. The staff were polite, and we didn't have any problems checking in.

Review 21:The only bad thing I could say was the breakfast area had some flies flying around certain areas...keep the food area clean and it wouldve been a perfect stay.

Review 22:Upon arriving for check in we were there was a mix up with our room being given to someone else with a similar name the front desk worker apologized numerous times for it and immediately upgraded oir room to a suite :) the room was very clean and it was a quiet stay...close to interstate and not far from shopping locations

Review 23:The side exit door needs to be fixed immediately. It is very difficult to open from the inside or outside. that could be a fire hazard.

Review 24:The room was nice and large, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean.

Review 25:The wi-fi did not work. The man sent up to room was rude.We decided, for several reasons, including french fries on floor, to leave. The man ranted at me over the phone (he had left premises), arguing that I would be charged. We would never recommend this motel to anyone.

Review 63:Great price, good bed, mostly clean room.

Review 64:It was clean.

Review 65:we are in our 60's and stayed in a king room. The room was on the 2nd floor 2 miles from the elevator!! That sucked.

Review 76:Price Good water pressure

Review 77:There were some cleanliness issues. There was no clock radio and TV guide in the room.

Review 78:Price,

Review 79:Having to leave!

Review 80:Friendly greeting by Mr Patel upon arrival. Fast, friendly and courteous check-in. Spacious clean room. Reasonable rate. Evening clerk (Kimberly) was helpful and without a doubt the best Hotel/Motel clerk of our two week vacation. Should be recognized by the owner and by Comfort Inn. This young lady has personality plus!

Review 81:Due to construction throughout Memphis. This hotel is very difficult to get to and your GPS will take you about 25 minutes off the highway due to detours. The area was dark (unsafe feeling), unclean, and overall unkempt. Would not recommend this hotel. Glad we were only there overnight

Review 82:The hotel was in a bad location; we were unfamiliar with Memphis and did not know that it is in a bad area, albeit right off the interestate. The room and hallways were dirty; there were French fries in the room microwave. The entire facility smelled strange. The fridge was not cold but the freezer needed defrosted. I called ahead of time b/c we were going to be a little bit late and the woman who answered was so hard to understand and struggled so much to communicate that she finally had to hand the phone to someone else who could speak clearly and be understood; I mean no offense but there was a significant communication barrier with someone who was meant to be answering talking on the phone with scheduled and prospective guests. The pool was not much bigger than a several-person hot tub. We unloaded the car completely to ensure that if our car was broken into we did not lose valuables. Our room was so far from the elevator it was inconvenient to use so we hauled all of it up a flight of stairs. The desk clerk did not change us to the ground floor when he heard we had kids. The free breakfast was laughable. We actually had a room reserved for on our way home that we worked to cancel the minute we left; there is no way I would stay here again.

Review 83:The wi-fi connection was fairly strong. There was free popcorn in the lobby when we got there. There were a couple of food options close to this place, though the gas stations were rough and intimidating.

Review 84:It was ok for the price. LOcation is 20 minutes from Beale Street and about 8 minutes to the mall. My room was ok except main ligt was out and the closet door would not close. Other than that the hotel was fine.

Review 85:Wallpaper peeling slightly in bathroom.

Review 86:Great for what I needed - clean room, comfy beds, quiet. Not fancy, but that's fine - I'd rather have it be affordable like it is currently!

Review 87:The hotel staff were not very knowledgable about the area. The front desk area was poorly lit. Carpet throughout hotel and rooms was very dark, old and looked dirty. I wouldn't walk on the carpet with bare feet. We were there Easter Sunday morning and were awakened very early with construction right next to our room. When we complained to the staff at the front desk about it they were very rude. Breakfast was poorly prepared. Scrambled eggs actually looked green. We wouldn't stay here again.

Review 88:The bed was comfortable

Review 89:The location is a tad outside of Memphis but the drive was not bad each day at all! Housekeeping did not come back to make up bed & replace towels after coming to do it & we told her we were still getting dressed. I thought she would at least try to come back later when we were gone! The break fac was ok I loved the fresh bagels & cream cheese

Review 90:We had a king suite & the room was huge, comfortable & nice. I will definitely be back!

Review 91:The hotelisa fair way further out of the downtown area than indicated in the ad and this means some very high taxi fares. Public transport from the hotel area was non existent on weekends

Review 92:The hotel is clean and comfortable.it has a laundry for guests which after travelling for a few weeks was very welcome.

Review 93:Breakfast wasn't good. The fact that the hotel didn't have a elevator was a major downfall. One of the society's informed me it would be ready in 10 days so I know my next stay will be excellent.

Review 94:The area was great. Everywhere I visited was no more than 20 minutes away.

Review 95:Only 1 elevator and that was closed for renovation so I had to carry all my stuff up the stairs.

Review 96:I needed a place for 1 night that wasn't too expensive. Great value and very clean. Good breakfast options too, hot and cold breakfast was offered. Close to the interstate and not far from downtown Memphis. Will keep this place in mind for future visits to Memphis.

Review 97:Room #1: I asked for a room in the rear, thinking it would be quieter-mistake! It ended up being the last room in a small and smokey corridor(despite being a non smoking)--It had a noisy, very badly rusted anddirty air conditioner, and leaky faucet.Room #2: They moved me to a much nicer room, with a little living room suite which I was happy about, until I woke up the next morning with bites on my arms and legs. I was under the covers the whole time, so this was definitely some bed creature making a snack of me! No one, including the manager, offered ANY apologies or took any responsibility for this problem. Instead, the manager said he personally looked at the bed and could not see any bedbugs; so, he concluded, despite my showing him my 12-15 bites, that there was not a problem with that room. He did eventually give me 50% on that night (after asking "what do you want me to do???" uhh--for one, fumigate that room! #129 btw) . This is the primary reason for my low rating--I can understand that on occasion there are problems like this (although I've never experienced it before) but I couldn't believe that the manager did not so much as acknowledge it! While he and the staff chose to act cold and inconvenienced by this, I would have expected a degree of sympathy, responsibility, and maybe EVEN an apology.Room #3: I had been booked for a second night and decided to take a chance with another room, out of convenience's sake and seeing that other customers that did not seem to have this problem with their rooms. He gave me in a room-- again in the smokey rear corridor-- this one smelled like a locker room. Finally he gave me a room in the FRONT, which was perfectly fine. I suspect they reserve the more neglected rear rooms for booking.com customers. As I was leaving, I was just about to set my bags on the floor when I noticed mouse feces by the door and in along the corridor.

Review 98:Note: I did change rooms 3 times (see complaints) but my final room--for the price ($60), was spacious, comfortable and well furnished, despite being a little worn-- Breakfast was decent for this level hotel--basic hotel buffet style scrambled eggs (not too appealing), biscuits & gravy, do it yourself waffles... Desk staff was initially cordial but turned somewhat sour when the problem with the bed bugs/spiders came up...

Review 99:The carpet was dirty and needed replaced. The room has started todeteriorate and will need remodeling soon.

Review 100:I felt comfortable and the room was nice. Even though the carpet was alittle dirty, all in all the room was clean. I would stay again.

Review 101:Our room was near an exit door which did not work properly. Everytime someone open the door it would slam into the door jam and make a loud noise. This banging noise would wake me early each morning before I wanted to wake.

Review 102:The location and the price.

Review 103:Could have offered more tourist information eg maps of the city. You need a car to stay here as it is a distance from the tourist attractions.

Review 104:Had a very comfortable stay.

Review 105:Stain on chair-Carpet.Outside door was easy to open without a key card for security.

Review 106:Pool-parking-Breakfast.

Review 107:Cosy room, excelent breakfast, good position for visiting Memphis and Graceland.

Review 108:Miles from all attractions. 20 minutes from Memphis And 20 minutes from Graceland

Review 109:Big comfy bed. Micro and fridge

Review 110:i love the convience and friendly staff all was good while i stayed thanks see you again soon

Review 111:Not a big deal. Didn't like tugging luggage up and down stairs.

Review 118:Distance to city centre! 20+ drive!! Way to expensive.

Review 119:Nice rooms, enough space, fancy tv, good wifi and clean area.

Review 120:Room. Nice size and had refrigerator. Good location.

Review 121:Guests next door were very noisy day and night. Breakfast was a bit uninspiring after 4 days!

Review 122:Nice room with plenty of space, good facilities.
