Reviews for Econo Lodge Manchester
Review 1:The bathroom was dirty and there was urine on the toilet base. The property is dated and there were no healthy options for the breakfast.
Review 2:The bed was comfortable.
Review 3:Bed too hard, room too small, toilet too short, the place Looks old so it doesn't look clean but it was. The whole hotel needs to be upgraded badly!
Review 4:The young lady that checked us in. She was so sweet and kind.
Review 5:Elevator was very slow when working and was not working at all for part of my visit. The hotel is somewhat far from downtown but is way cheaper than those in that area.
Review 6:You're kidding, right? Much of this hotel is a homeless shelter, with some real oddball characters milling around the place. I could have done without the woman vomiting out the 4th floor window and then asking me for "a date."
Review 7:It was located next door to a great thrift store where I found some amazing stuff dirt cheap.
Review 8:Office Staff far from friendly, coffe avails only for 3 hours in morning and no coffee maker in room. Not a quiet hotel
Review 9:Will not stay there again. The only reason I stayed there is that NASCAR was in town and the better hotels were all booked. Guess liked nothing.
Review 10:We nicknamed the room the "domestic violence" room based on the number of holes in walls, door to bathroom looked liked it had been kicked open and glued back together, and drawer on dresser was hanging off. Plus there was trash left from God knows when on the window sill so it was obvious that they don't pull back curtains and do a decent cleaning job
Review 11:The room had a nice flat screen tv
Review 12:If you are looking for basic accommodations...clean, great bed, convenient to places (24 hour drive in Dunkin Donuts less than 1 mile away), and value...this is your place! And this comes from a man who has stayed at all the top notch hotels all over the country, with all the bells and whistles (which are nice, but you have to pay much, much mote for your room). I'll stay there again.
Review 13:Dark parking lot. Pillow on bed smelled. The room had a plastic cup on floor giving impression the room was adequately cleaned.
Review 14:Check in at night was questionable for a female traveler
Review 15:I mistakenly oredered a somking Room but they did try willingly to accommodate
Review 16:The experience was ok overall the staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable and also was willing to accommodate my needs due to s booking issue without any problems. To me that was exceptionally wonderful and overall charming.
Review 17:I didn't like the fact that the State supported Residents took over the smallish breakfast area without dressing themselves nor their children appropriately to be seen in public.
Review 18:This was a convenient location for my needs & available the same evening that the room was booked.
Review 19:Nothing..
Review 20:Totally disgusting. The smoking room absolutely reeked. Clothes in our bags packed deep down smelled of smoke by am. Bathroom was not cleaned. Hair seen in tub. Gross.
Review 21:It looked like some families were living here; "beater' cars in the the lot and cigarette butts all over the ground.
Review 22:Convenient location and low price.
Review 23:The room had bugs crawling on the ceiling and ants marching across thetable. The fridge was not clean and the toilet was not securely attachedto the floor.
Review 24:Once you enter into the Hotel, you smell smoking so badly (everywhere in the hotel). We book a non-smoking room, the label in the room was non-smoking but it was a smoking room. The hotel has 4 floors, 3 floors were smoking floor, only the 4th floor was mentioned non-smoking but it smell smoking so badly. My family had headach and our cloth smell smoking. The customer service agent argue with us that it was the first time people smoke in a non-smoking room. The fridge was not functioning for long time and we saw green stuff like mushroom inside because of the humidity.
Review 25:Room smell like wet rug dust on the ac cigarette. Burn on sheets broken chairs .but worst part was the mildew. Smell in room and half will never book this place in my life
Review 26:nothing
Review 27:This hotel was rated as 3 stars, which it is not, by any stretch. It was adequate for a nights sleep, but old and noisy.
Review 28:It was fairly clean and the bed was pretty comfortable
Review 29:The room was disgustingly dirty - the bathroom floor and walls did not look like they had ever been wiped or mopped; there was a large accumulation of black dirt in the grout along the base of the bathtub and walls. There were holes burned in the bed blankets and burns in the carpeting (6-8" long in some spots), the room smelled awful - we purchased febreeze and lysol to spray in our room to make sleeping there somewhat bearable. We did not feel comfortable walking barefooted on the flooring because it was so dirty. The air conditioner filter was broken and didn't look like it had ever been cleaned. We didn't bother checking out the 'free' breakfast after the disgusting conditions of the rest of this place. The elevator did not operate properly - seemed like it was ready to break down at any moment. The hallways were hot, smelled awful and were very dark - no windows and very dim lighting.
Review 30:Considering the depressed neighborhood and the clientele that were noted to be hanging around the lobby and parking lot, the room was surprisingly quiet. The room had a flat screen TV and free wifi.
Review 31:Location and the number of people who seem to hang outside the hotel entrance.
Review 32:There is really nothing I liked about this hotel. It was a neutral experience
Review 33:The lighting in the room was very bad, it was very dark in the room. Tough to read or put on makeup. And the circuit that controlled our AC and a light tripped before we went to bed so the nice man at the desk helped flip it back on. Unfortunately some time in the night if blew again and we woke up sweating at 4am.
Review 34:The location was convenient for our trip to Manchester. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 35:Our bathroom door had big fist holes. Room was dirty tub was dark brown and could have used a scrubbing. Bed was hard and had cigarette burn holes on blankets. The halls were dark and my daughters room had blood stains on the walls and someone was trying to get into her room in the middle of the night. She spent the night scared and called it the hotel from hell. The televisions were so old that you could hardly get a picture. Many unsavory characters.
Review 36:Wifi
Review 37:The beds were not changed there were cigarette butt holes in the linens on the bed there was no light in the room and it was just plain gross.
Review 38:The place was disgusting so I left and told them to give me my money back I did not spend the night I did not spend more than five minutes in that place.
Review 39:The couple fighting in the parking lot all night long. Otherwise, it was just fine for the money.
Review 40:The price was within my budget, and the staff were friendly.
Review 41:When I got there the room was freezing and the blankets had ciggarette burns on them. And the vending machine ate my dollar, there wasn't that much of a selection for the breakfast, the remote wasn't working, the light kept going out, and there was no conditioner just shampoo.
Review 42:The beds were nice and the pillows were comfortable.
Review 43:the bathrooms were disgusting there was pissed on on the bottom of the toilet I had to clean it before I get you that there was a spider webs in the corner of the room burn holes on the computer and the whole entire place was dusting
Review 44:there is nothing like facility was dirty there was nobody in the front desk after 10 o'clock I asked for extra towels at the front desk told me know
Review 45:There were boogers and jizz stains on the curtains, walls and floor. I pulled back the sheets to find blood stains on the sheets. Overall the most disgusting place I've ever been.
Review 46:Nothing.
Review 47:Ours situation was we had lost power @ home because of a huge snowstorm, and needed to stay somewhere warm. I was afraid that room prices would be jacked up because so many people had lost power. However, we found a room using Booking.com and at a very reasonable rate. The room was comfortable, clean, and the staff was very nice.
Review 48:Check in was soooo slow. A cop greeted us at the door cause it's in such a bad area of town. There was all kinds of shady characters to the point my wife was afraid to leave the room without me. The room was a total dump. There wasn't even a shower head on the shower so we couldn't shower.
Review 49:dried blood on box spring, yellow stains on pillowcase, gum stuk to sheet, the people above us flooded the bthroom it came down into our bathroom all over the place,we called the desk.they asked us to wipe it up....the people upstairs where unrully.we asked to moove to anoher room and the rude night person refused. never again.i have traveld the world widely from the age of four and i have never seen a place like ths it is an old factory onverted to a hotel...very dark, creeky and creepy.reeked of cooked food downstairs.nice older man on the front desk on windows,, no screens or locks very dangerous for little children. good luck with this property..................
Review 50:One electrical outlet in the room did not have a cover. Could be especially dangerous for children.
Review 51:Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Variety of places to eat nearby.
Review 52:This hotel was dirty, and gross. Floors were dirty, heating element was broken in my room. I will never stay there again or recommend to anyone. Blanket had ciggerette holes in it. Awful, awful, awful!!!! I should have asked for my money back and found a different place to stay!!!
Review 53:The location was terrible. I'm pretty sure a drug deal was going on in the parking lot. We woke up at 2am to blasting music in someone's car outside...we were on the 5th floor! And when we woke up, there were about 10 cops outside in the parking lot. The whole place seemed pretty sketchy. The staff was OK but we got scolded by the manager for bringing our breakfast up to our room even tho the breakfast room was too small and there were way to many people in there.
Review 54:The room overall was very clean and everything seemed relatively new. The room was a steal for the price we paid.
Review 55:Lodge was showing its age. I cant blame the lodge for the fights in the hallway until 2am,the yelling and the banging on the walls until the police arrived. Talk about a thankless job. Trying to get to the bottom of who to haul away for the disturbance. Ladies if you are getting smacked around by someone, you do not need that person in your life. GET OUT!!
Review 56:Not much good to say.
Review 57:Front desk person had the personality of a wart!,asked for an extra pillow, you would of thought I asked for a kidney!!.the walls in the room .....dirty!! NEVER again.
Review 58:over priced due to NASCAR races breakfast times closed to early breakfast room was too small wish some of shoe factory was still around
Review 59:location easy to get on and off for races more towels/washcloth in room
Review 60:Dirty room with burn marks on covers and stained sheets. When we wanted to cancel they said they couldn't and it was 3:30pm (cancellation was suppose to be by 5:59pm). On website we were to have a fridge.
Review 61:Wi-Fi available
Review 62:1: It was 46 degrees outside but our room was boiling hot without the heat on.turned on A.C. but because the filter had never been cleaned might as well have not bothered.2 the bed my girlfriend and I shared was broken. The springs in the middle were all shot so there was this ditch in the center of the bed. 3coffee only avaliable for 2 hours? What? Police. Everywhere. In hotel (O.D) outside (break in) but they were friendly.
Review 63:The room was very large so it was easy for my friend to use the airmattress she brought and no one tripped over anyone. Thr fridge was abonus as was the fact that the Windows opened... Which was a massivenecessity.
Review 64:Attention to detail. Interesting free coffee machine in lobby & breakfast room...brews fresh cup in different strengths as you watch the process. Good location...near highway & a good Thai/Japanese restaurant called Muse..
Review 65:- area of town not the best - when I arrived the weather was hot and the a/c in my room was turned off. It felt like I was walking into a sauna. It took 45 minutes before the room began to cool - very large hotel that looked empty yet I was given a room in the lower level (felt like basement) where my windows where high up on the wall opening to the parking lot. - not enough lighting in the room - no electric outlets near the bed requiring me to unplug the light in order to plug in my computer
Review 66:Decent Breakfast close to airport clean
Review 67:We had a smoking room had lower expectations but all linens had burn holes, dusty, broken furniture, dirty tub. Fight in hallway. Neighbor in hallway found syringe under bed no help from front desk. Said see manager in AM.Bugs in stairways roaches.
Review 68:We went because the price was right. It was a fun place to stay, because it had character. It was not cookie cutter. It's built into an old factory or something. Our stay was flawless.
