Reviews for Commonwealth Park Suites Hotel

Review 1:Parking is a bit of a hassle in that area of town.

Review 2:Everything was beyond my expectation. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating.

Review 3:Unfortunately we were on the second floor and I could hear everything outdoors. Wasn't able to have a good night sleep due to noise.

Review 4:We had the king suite and it was huge! Pretty much a one bedroom apartment!

Review 5:The small refrigerator did not work properly and having to pay $20 a day for parking was a bit much.

Review 6:The staff was excellent and the location of the hotel was perfect for us.

Review 7:Still just a so, so, place. We have stayed here before and it was not our first choice. The staff were trying, but gave the empression they didn't care.

Review 8:The location great.

Review 9:Breakfast was a bit expensive for what was served. I don't like valet parking and there is no parking near the hotel.

Review 10:I had a king suite, lots of room.

Review 11:The restaurant staff got a little grumpy, BUT I blame that far more on my rowdy party than the staff. Some of my party were not near as considerate as they should have been.

Review 12:The front desk staff and valet staff could not have been any nicer. They were all so kind and respectful. The same can be said for the ladies of the cleaning staff. I will come back to this hotel on my next trip to Richmond.

Review 13:When you pull in to the hotel, it is not clear where to park until you realize that they have valet parking. Loved their valet parking attendants!

Review 14:Staff was great! Cleanliness and amenities were excellent. It was across from the state capital and very quaint.

Review 15:While there is valet parking offered, there is a lack of designated space in front of hotel to pull in order to check in. Also, online parking was designated as $12 a day when it was actually $20 a day.

Review 16:Location was within walking distance to VCU hospital where I was visiting. The suite like room provided ample comfort.

Review 17:The very nice concierge (whose name escapes me) told us that we had booked a "room that nobody else can get" because of how nice it was. It was a decent room at best with an awful view (unless you're really into brick walls) and a horrific plumbing problem that, whenever you flushed the toilet, would make a very loud banging sound for 6-10 seconds. Also, breakfast wasn't free.

Review 18:Brilliant location, basically good hotel. Very nice valet named Corey. 10/10 customer service from him. Wonderful bidet and dry sauna.

Review 19:The design is very outdated and there were many things that needed maintenence. Nothing serious like the plumbing, just aesthetics. I also don't care for the high taxes you get hit with cumulatively each day, but I guess that's something to be taken up with the city. Thanks a lot Obama.

Review 20:It's location was really convenient and we could walk to downtown. Also I liked the microwave and fridge in our room. The bed also felt very comfortable and we slept very well.

Review 21:Long black hair (29 inches on bidet). Trouble sleeping cause air vent over bed would rattle when on.

Review 22:Location to State Capital meeting and parking

Review 23:Living room furniture not the most comfortable

Review 24:Size of the room. Bathroom upgrades.

Review 25:we could hear traffic from our corner room all night.

Review 26:location, comfort, space and service

Review 27:Double bed suite was one nice bedroom and a decent pullout couch. Not bad but not what was expected.

Review 28:Location was perfect, nice historic feel.

Review 29:The location, size of the room and really friendly and helpful staff especially Tracey on the front desk a wonderful lady.

Review 30:The comfort and spaciousness of our suite.

Review 31:breakfast with semi-fresh bread, poor coffee and with 50$ (2 ad, 2 ch) quite steep

Review 32:great bed, good location next to downtown attractions

Review 33:Hotel restaurant is really not that good.

Review 34:Great staff; great location; good hotel.

Review 35:How cold it was outside

Review 36:Everything

Review 37:Great big King Suite - beautiful linens. Towel warmer in the bath. It was a lovely experience.

Review 38:I really enjoyed the hotel and is very neat and clean staff is excellent

Review 39:Nitpicking, but the bidet leaked from the wall when turned on

Review 40:Very classy feel, located right across from the Govenors mansion, close to the nightlife

Review 41:Lack of self-access to car and parking. (Valet only...valets were fine, but inconvenient at times.)

Review 42:Convenient location for business with state government agencies.

Review 43:wish there werea few more channels on the cable. if there was a cooking or kitchen space for the room. it would've been perfect for the price

Review 44:I loved how spacious it was. they was plenty of room and it was very cozy

Review 45:The room and staff.

Review 46:Elevator is tiny and the decor and lighting in the rooms are both sparse and outdated.

Review 47:Rooms are huge!

Review 48:Needs upgrading, not very clean

Review 49:Very spacious room. Friendly staff

Review 50:Mandatory valet parking is not included

Review 51:The king room was really nice with lots of extras like a sitting area, heated towel rack, bidet.

Review 52:Under staffed!

Review 53:The suites are a very good size.
