Review 1：In general the hotel needs more attention to decoration, small details and team training to really comply with international 5* standards.

Review 2：Nice location of the hotel, just on the tophill of public garden surrounded by pine woods. Private outdoor parking included in the price. Building from socialist era well renovated and converted into big SPA hotel. Paintings and decors from that period remain on few walls, something that might not be liked by everyone but that gives an idea, together with the restaurant decoration and the duo that plays music at night, of how certain things in these times were. Nice outdoor pool with hot mineral water and several jakuzzies open all year round. Plenty of good beauty and phisiotherapeutic treatments at reasonable prices. Great variety for breakfast although no fresh juices are offered.

Review 3：The Spa centre is really small for such a big hotel, especially the indoor swimming pool. Most of the outdoor pools were very dirty - there were lots of orange spots at the walls and bottom and leaves on the surface - so it wasn't possible to use them. It is not ok to provide only one set of bathroom goodies for two people for two nights and to save hotel expenses by putting the soap and shower gel in awful-looking containers on the wall!!! The furniture in our room was quite old and wornout and the windows couldn't close well, so the wind was coming right through them, making the curtains move. It was too expensive for a hotel, which I wholeheartedly can't define as a 5-star one.

Review 4：The hot-water jacussi outside was amazing! The pool outside was also very well tempered - ~28 C degrees. It was pretty warm in the room, maybe even too warm - ~35 C. The standard room was big, with unbelievably beautiful view, and there was pretty much everything included in the breakfast block. The servise was good and people were polite.

Review 5：Everything was great. We loved and enjoy staying in the hotel. Using of outdoor pools was the most beautiful part of our weekend. Indore Spa centar was enjoyable too. Recommend to all.

Review 7：Extremely hot in the rooms. Floor "cooling"- inadequate methodfor cooling obviously not working. Room temperature was 30 degrees.Night bar- not working. Mentioned facilities could not be used (tabletennis, for example). Extremely unhelpful and rude staff (except for thespa facilities where all was fine). Food quality- below average.Unacceptable meals for a 5-star hotel. No balconies. Dirty bathroom.Communist atmosphere all over the hotel (Stalin and Lenin'sportraits among the hotel). Never again.

Review 15：The restaurant – poor food, average service, not acceptable for 5 star restaurant. The meal looked like it have been waiting for weeks in a showcase then put in the microwave for few minutes just before serving. The waitress just smiled indifferently when I explained calmly why I am returning back the dish untouched. The croissants for breakfast were dry and stiff, obviously leftovers from the previous day. Some food finished in no time and was not refilled for at least half an hour.

Review 16：Location, hospitality of the hotel staff, mineral water and all SPA facilities, everything was nice and fulfilled with attention towards the details. I really felt like a princess in “Dvoretsa” (the Castle).

Review 17：There was life music in the restaurant in the evenings. The bad was memory foam and thus quite hard. Pillows were small. WiFi required registration on every access. It was totally useless. Inside pool was overcrowded (we were visiting in the winter). Noises could be heard through the walls. There are coupons for the towels - strange for a SPA.

We stayed for the Easter break and although it rained for the first 2 days we and more importantly our 2 year old did not get bored. The indoor swimming pool was really warm, the spa facilities were great, there was even an indoor children's corner pack pull of various toys and games. The food in the hotel's restaurant was perfect every time and staff were flawless. Right outside the hotel's grounds there is a lovely park with 3 playgrounds. The city's high street is within walking distance

Wetravel a lot around the world and stay only in 4-5 star hotels, to befair to future guest of the hotel, we would not rate it 5 star. Therooms are small, breakfast choice is poor, we only stayed for 3 nightsso for us was ok, if staying longer it may be a problem. The Spa centeris ok, not a large variety of facilities to use, the use of Chlorine inthe swimming pools with mineral water was a problem for us. In the"Spa capital of the Balkans" after all we could not enjoynatural mineral water pool.

Review 65：the reception staff had a very bad behavior. The hotel had a lot of dust from carpets to the point where I can not breathe .at some point that we want to live the hotel the receptionist tried to charge us MORE.!!

Review 67：There are no balconies in the rooms. There are only a few rooms with balconies (Deluxe Double Room) and they offer balconies on first come first serve basis. This is not acceptable of a 5* hotel in my opinion.

Review 69：The slippers they give you from the hotel are slippery when you walk on the wet floor of the bathrooms and in the spa facilities. I saw an elderly lady slip and fall, wearing them. Be careful when you walk on the wet surfaces in this hotel with these slippers!

Review 71：The Spa's hamam was set at too low a temperature (37C) and the Spa's staff insisted it could not be increased! The hamam and particularly the steam bath were too smelly to be used.

Review 72：The Hotel's Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms and facilities (except some parts of the Spa - see our other comments). The hotel is located in a lovely park, on top of a hill, with easy access to the town's centre - about 15' on foot. Great pools and jacuzzis with hot spring water; the pool temperature (33C) was just right and shouldn't be reduced. Good quality of food and a satisfying variety of dishes and local wine were on offer at the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast was good too. Will be staying at this hotel again.

Review 73：Aesthetically a very beautiful hotel – building, surroundings, flowersetc. and a building with a history. Almost every detail look well kept.(You can see why, if you go early to the pool.) Very much 5 star in thesense that if there was a problem, it was addressed immediately. Perfectlocation in quiet surroundings, but yet near the center of Velingrad.Why go to the Black Sea in the middle of the summer heat, when you herein Velingrad can enjoy the fresh evening and morning mountain air. Lotsof guests in the weekend also with children, so in that sense it must bechild friendly. Wrongly placed on the Google map!

Review 74：The main road from Sofia to Velingrad (at the map and selected by ourgps) was closed while no announcements were made. We had to look for analternative road and lost a lot of time.
