Reviews for Desert Breezes Resort
Review 1:Furniture is beginning to age and really should be updated. Comfortable new chairs in the living room would be a real plus.
Review 2:Excellent bed and the location of the resort was convenient to shopping and Palm Springs events. The grounds were super clean and well maintained and when I talked to reception, they were very responsive with requests. The quiet environment is conducive to rest and relaxation. Hot tub and pools were well cared for daily.
Review 3:We came as part of an organized group celebration. and coffee was provided by the hosts at 8:30 ... LACK OF OFFEE was my greatest angst ... being an early riser I would have appresciayed coffee packets available, even for cost at the office.. mzybe minutia to you all ... but Not to Us
Review 4:The last few times we went there the towels were very old. I would use them as rags at home
Review 5:They have a big beautiful pond with a water fountain in the middle and a safe environment to go for long walks or rent bikes for a nice ride.
Review 6:The clubhouse was closed when we visited so we weren't able to borrow tennis racquets (I understand having it closed, but you'd think they could leave some racquets at the front desk). No free weights in the gym.
Review 7:Really nice, spacious suites. Lots of amenities! Beautiful spot. Lots in the area, though you'd need a car.
Review 8:bathroom open to living room; there should be a curtain or some kind of a closure to the bathroom area. heater air condition noisy. Too close to major street
Review 9:value for the money, close to pool, downstairs location, clean and updated kitchen
Review 10:Units need updating, kitchens are very bare hard to cook much Hot tub close to unit sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Hairdryer shorted out, had a small piece of tape covering bare wires.
Review 11:Pool area nice
Review 12:There was nothing to not like.
Review 13:Friendliness and positive staff along with location to everything. Unit very clean and left nothing to be purchased. quiet location two very clean well maintained pools and hot tubs.
Review 14:As a young couple traveling for leisure, we would have enjoyed a little more excitement and modern living spaces. Desert Breezes Resort seemed to have a much more mature ambiance than what we were expecting.
Review 15:Location was everything. Planted just outside of Palm Springs with a short scenic drive to just about anywhere we needed/wanted to go influenced some much needed adventure during our stay.
Review 16:It was 110 and our room a/c was not working. Front desk said that an A/C company would be out to service it. It took about 5 before we called again that the room was still warm. Paid for a weekend of Wi-Fi and it was open. There was splatter of mud on the car from work that was done.
Review 17:Liked that it was spacious, very clean and maintaince is quick to service the room.
Review 18:This is NOT a complaint. There was some landscaping work/construction going on, but the workers were very kind and respectful of the guests.I feel they were probably as quiet as they could be.
Review 19:The stay was WONDERFUL! Very comfortable and clean, and beautifully decorated rooms. The grounds are landscaped with gorgeous greenery and the pond is delightful. We saw roadrunners, a crane and the turtles, FUN FUN FUN! It was a GREAT "Girls Trip" that will not be forgotten.
Review 20:One problem only: the jacuzzi in the main pool was being used by the little kids to urinate. That was gross!!! I will be back, so I hope I don't see kids peeing in the jacuzzi. Thanks
Review 21:Privacy and quiet in two of the pools
Review 22:Housekeeping didn't service my room while I we there. I didn't realize this wasn't included.
Review 23:Location was great. Most hotels include wifi and breakfast for a similar rate n
Review 24:I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for wifi and at that I had to get 6 different codes to accommodate my family. I was not happy about that at all.
Review 25:Overall the experience was wonderful and the room spacious
Review 26:When I got there they let me in which was great. But the security guard didn't know where the resort part was. I called the after check in hours number and the young man told us we had to wait for someone to open the door so waited for 45 minutes and no one showed up,than called back and someone let us know we just needed a code to get the key. But other than that it was great
Review 27:I liked everything about it!
Review 28:The only down side was out at the pool area, some people were smoking cigarettes often and listening to their own music even though both were clearly stated it was not allowed.
Review 29:Very comfortable bed and bedding. It was very convenient having a well equipped kitchen. I liked the gym on site and the pool area was very nice. It was a great place to relax and quiet for the most part.
Review 30:I went with my kids to relax and the first night, there was a pool party with loud music and my kids witnessed drunk people. The pool setting was tacky and gettho. Not worth the money I paid for.
Review 31:Do not like that they charge you a $300 deposit at check-in and refund at check-out. No maid service (which is ok with us.) if you are staying longer then a weekend you must replace your own towels in the lobby.
Review 32:With 2 teenagers a regular hotel room is too small for us. We love the 2 bedroom which offers 1 King and 2 twins. The kitchen is great. The BBq's are clean and are next to the pool for easy access. Totally affordable too!!
Review 33:I did not like that it was so hard to get through the gate. Once inside the front desk lady was not very helpful and rude. I asked about the 300 hold that I had not seen when I booked the room. She didn't give any type of resolutions after we had drove hrs to get to the resort and said basically we needed to take it up with booking.com so that put us in a position to have to wait around and figure something else out. It was really frustrating because there should have been some type of accommodations or something seeing that the room had already been paid for. However we ended up staying later that night at around 10 pm which means we sat in front for a couple more hours trying to figure it out. Nice place but wouldn't stay there again. Alba needs to work on her customer service.
Review 34:- The air conditioning bottoms out at 72 degrees, so it can get a little warm in the room - We were told housekeeping is only included if you stay for at least a week. Otherwise it's $48 just to clean our room - which is ridiculously excessive
Review 35:The rooms were great, bed was incredibly comfy, and the pool area was pretty awesome
Review 36:I didn't like that they didn't clean the room everyday. Other than that, no complain.
Review 37:The hotel was really close to Coachella. It was a nice sized room. Had all the kitchen stuff, if you wanted to cook.
Review 38:Arrived late due to traffic, it was after 8pm, couldn't get a number to the Resort, the number I was given said, "We're closed call back during business hours". Finally after sitting at the gate for half hour a resident let me in. The shower curtain smelled of strong mildew and they held an extra $300 for 3 days. Never again
Review 39:The bed was nice, the property was nice a quiet.
Review 40:No free Wifi. Wifi was $3 a day for only one device. With 3 children all wanting to use their iPads at the same time, it was expensive.
Review 41:Spacious and clean condo, beautiful grounds, nice pools with lots of lounge chairs, friendly staff, gated community, and a non smoking facility.
Review 42:The couch made into a bed and was VERY uncomfortable! they need new ones, you could feel the bars thru the mattress, it was bad.
Review 43:We loved the whole area and the pool was wonderful, heated, and the grounds were beautiful! We loved our stay, we will def be back!
Review 44:I didn't like that I had to pay $3 per day for each electronic unit. That sure felt like gouging.
Review 45:I liked the amount of space we had in the unit. We had multiple rooms for people to get away and relax. I also liked that there was a Jacuzzi for every 4 units.
Review 46:A little outdated and shabby. Even though we put the sign on the door, housecleaning never came to our room in the 5 days we were there.
Review 47:Very good price, clean, pay for what you get.
Review 48:We arrived after the desk closed and had a very difficult time getting the security code we needed for the lock box with our key. We called before making the reservation to see if a car would be needed to get to shopping and restaurants. We were told 'no.' Upon arrival, we learned the nearest restaurants and grocery were over a mile away. Needless to say, we paid a lot of cab fares during our short stay.
Review 49:The grounds were beautiful and the location to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden was ideal.
Review 50:Have to pay for WiFi is a joke. The hot water takes way to long to get hot, it is such a waste of water. The Jacuzzi takes way too long for the jets to come on.
Review 51:I liked the property grounds & the clubhouse, work out rooms, tennis courts, pool
Review 52:Price was comparable to local hotels which is very pricey during this season. But since this is a resort property, they only do maid service if you stay for an entire week. Rather disappointing given , the exorbitant price paid for the 3 night stay.
Review 53:I enjoyed being walking distance from the Tennis Gardens for the BNP tournament. Playing tennis in the mornings with the other guests during their morning drop in session was fun.
Review 54:Didn't like the internet service, especially that it hardly connected, and it kept disconnecting, and we had to pay for it!! Took 2 days to get the TV to work properly. The air conditioner never cooled our condo.
Review 55:We liked the pool, BBQ, pond with ducks and turtles.
Review 56:*wifi is not free and is not that great( we did receive a credit as a result though * sofas are not that comfy....but hey, we're were by the pool most of the time:-) * only one washer and dryer per 6 units- stackable (2) would be nice ....in the unit would be better!
Review 57:Loved the quiet, non party atmosphere. Like how there are not many units (total) compared to large resorts and everything is close to the pool.
Review 58:we were advised by neighbours that noise could be an issue due to insufficient soundproofing of walls and floors. We did not notice anything, however had the advantage of being on the upper floor, and tried to be quiet when sliding chairs at the dining room table etc. to respect those below us.
Review 59:The two bedroom unit was well equipped and very roomy. Lots of closet space and storage if needed for a longer stay. Beautiful view of the mountains from our upper unit. Facilities and pool were ample in size and never too busy.
Review 60:The only snag was the WiFi - very slow & unreliable. Also the weekly fee only covered one device. The TV was very unresponsive at times. Overall the electronics needed a makeover.
Review 61:Loved the landscaped grounds and the size and comfort of the condo. The staff were efficient, friendly and competent. Location perfect for all activities. Th
Review 62:Gated property with nobody at the gate after 5pm; no clear instructions how to get in; receptionist was not much help & refuse to provide a receipt
Review 63:Only one device allowed on wifi at a time, which was a hassle. No oven (which would be a problem for a longer stay). Had trouble opening windows for a breeze.
Review 64:Loved the condo! Clean, bed very comfortable tastefully decorated and great perks, like the fully equipped kitchenette. Ate breakfast on patio and poolside every morning; one of my favourite memories of the trip! Beautiful pool. Loved the location of Palm Desert vs. Palm Springs. More modern, close to amenities. PS a bit more dated.
Review 65:The paid Wi-Fi was terrible. Speed was very slow and how device was pointed made a big difference. The fact that only one device at a time could be used is archaic. Everyone has several now days. Also the TV in the bedroom was old and only received a fraction of the stations that the main one got.
Review 66:We have stayed here before and although the property is older the grounds are well kept and neat. The rooms are always clean, but some updating would be appropriate. Having said that we would come back in an instant!
Review 67:Carpet is ready to be replaced very worn. Pillows on the couches are flat and gross from age. There cheap get new ones.
Review 68:Very mellow not crowded lots of hot tubs every where very private feel to the place easy access!!
Review 69:WiFi impossible. Only able to sign on one person at a time. Might prevent people who need wifi to keep in touch at work from returning
Review 70:Great location great value great facilities nice staff
Review 71:Gate key failed to work, kitchen microwave needs replacing, room in disarray upon arrival (should have been inspected), two beds very uncomfortable
Review 72:Location, jacuzzi, size of condo, master bed comfy
Review 73:The condo was dated and could use some updates.
Review 74:The pools were great, one being very large. Liked that there was a family pool and an adult pool. The grounds were lovely. The staff was very nice.
Review 75:You have to pay for wifi. Instead of charging just put in to the room price and don't have to mention it to any one.
Review 76:Pool were great. Location is good. Very nice place.
Review 77:One gate on Washington street did not operate. No instruction re how to enter the gate. Had difficult time to enter. No guard. Was able to enter thru the courtesy of one of Residents there.
Review 78:Space and atmosphere and pools
Review 79:Excellent, very clean and spacious studio timeshare at an extrodinary price.. We'll appointed, quite and private with clubhouse, pool and spa a real plus!!
Review 80:Slow WiFi Unclear instructions at entrance gate (led to our driving in the wrong gate & puncturing a tire)
Review 81:Peaceful Helpful and efficient maintenance staff (changed tire at once; quickly attended to water supply problem)
Review 82:The Wi-Fi was terrible. This may be a deal breaker for future trips - the connection (when available) was slow and sporadic. Only one device at a time is allowed. The service should be free until they address the problem.
Review 83:The bed was extremely comfortable, and the 1 bedroom unit is well maintained and clean.
Review 84:Air conditioner would not get cool enough for us. it was set at 72 degrees and would not get any cooler. Ants around pool area.
Review 85:Location was great! Easy access to the freeway and any direction. It was like we had our very own hot tub. Bar B-Q busy but always room to do our meal.
Review 86:The option for more than 4 guests in a 1 bedroom condo should be an option. There is plenty of room for a roll away bed/s.
Review 87:My family and I will definitely stay here again.
Review 88:It would have been helpful if we had been told in advance about getting in after hours and about the lock box but it became an adventure, one that turned out ok due to an excellent staff on the emergency number and check in staff.
Review 89:We had several "issues" checking in after hours but the staff was outstanding. They really went the extra mile to resolve the "issues" and we were satisfied and happy.
Review 90:Furnishings and decor quite generic. 2 hour lag for maintenance to address loud banging from broken a/c system.
Review 91:Clean Comfortable bed Pool and jacuzzis Cheerful, helpful desk staff. Adequately stocked kitchen.
Review 92:Paid for WIFI was brutal. Wish they would upgrade this and also not charged extra for this lousy service. Dishwasher was also in bad repair.
Review 93:Great location. Room was nice. Price was reasonable.
Review 94:WiFi not available without paying for it. Who doesn't have internet connections these days? You could walk over to the club house to connect to their WiFi but this was a huge inconvenience.
Review 95:Great value for what we paid. Very clean condo and attentive and knowledgeable staff. Facility amenities were excellent - gym, tennis, pools, hot tubs, BBQ's, laundry, etc. One bedroom unit was nicely appointed and most of our daily needs (detergent, dishwasher soap, garbage bags, etc.) were available in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend Desert Breezes!
Review 96:This condo development is located in a very conveniently area with hwy 111 and the 10 frwy close. It also close to markets and restaurants. It is good if you are also visiting Del Webb Development
Review 97:Wish they offered maid service for more than just weekly stays.
Review 98:This studio condo was clean, close and perfect for a weekend tennis tournament. Although an older condo, everything worked well and the grounds were immaculate and quite.
Review 99:Shower in the master bath is poorly designed and allows water to run onto the floor so that the floor is always wet after a shower. So much so, that we more often used the bath/shower in the second bathroom. TV in the bedroom is old (not flat screen), and we could not watch some of the programming available on the flat screen TV in the living room.
Review 100:This property has a very nice large pool and the hot tubs are conveniently located. Desert Breezes is gated and nicely located (an easy drive down Fred Waring Drive allows one to easily get to major shopping and eating areas). Our 2-bedroom unit provided views over the pool area and the grounds are nicely groomed. Tennis courts are in good shape and just a short walk from the units. Parking is near each of the units.
Review 101:We had requested a late check out time when we booked the room. Never received a response until the last day, then were told NO -check out is 11am and $25 charge for every half hour over!! Also dvd player did not work.
Review 102:Quiet. Very nice room with separate bedroom and kitchen. Nice jacuzzi. Very clean. Good price.
Review 103:This is the desert in Sept. A/C broke 1st night & staff VERY UNCOURTEOUS & could care less! Did not get repaired til 1pm. Broke again 2nd night! I Asked for any kind of compensation was told must call corp office. After "2 WEEKS & 4 CALLS" I was offered 15% discount. Very poor customer relations. I will say Booking.com was AWESOME! They credited $50.00 for the inconvenience. Love them.
Review 104:Gorgeous Resort
Review 105:Wow what a rest, what a relaxed holiday! We were able to really melt down, great accommodation, great pool, great staff, great heat. We would like to stay two weeks next time..
Review 106:The room was a bit old and the bathroom really small but the kitchen had everything we need for our short stay.
Review 107:Nice swimming pool and lake area (great for kids)
Review 108:The most relaxing place ever.I dropped a tear upon leaving because I should have stayed longer. Will return to this beautiful resort again. Thanks for the butter mints in the lobby.
Review 109:I received a very warm welcome from the young lady staffing the front desk, and my stay just got better and better. I was really impressed with my room, which amounted to a small studio. It was spacious, tastefully furnished and included a kitchen that was complete in every way. The grounds were impeccably kept and beautifully landscaped. The pools and spas were pristine, and I look forward to my next visit when I will definitely take advantage of one of the many modern gas barbeques available to guests. The Desert Breezes had all these amenities and a great location at a very competitive price.
Review 110:Most convoluted and incomplete late automated check in procedure, over 45 stressfull minutes to get in and find our room.dated furnishings.stained and worn upholstery
Review 111:Grounds maintenance, pool, kitchen
Review 112:Our stove and refrigerator didn't work properly.
Review 113:Liked the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time at the pool, and spa. We liked the layout of the rooms/units.
Review 114:When I arrived, I was asked for a $300 incidentals deposit, I was never informed of this on the booking.com website. Luckily the mgr was willing to work with me. Clearly, patrons should be informed of that deposit upfront. The location was in more of a residential area, had to drive about 7-8 miles to get to restaurants, bars, stores, etc
Review 115:Nice resort, very quiet, convenient parking, patio with table and chairs, lake with ducks.
Review 116:Did not like, connecting door to the other unit..... You can hear other guests, in the next unit, conversing and hearing every word of the conversation, as if they were in your own unit. We rented a one bedroom unit.
Review 117:Love the adult pool... And the option of using several Jacuzzis. Very nice..
Review 118:In the second bedroom, I could hear the guests in the next villa. It wasn't too disturbing, but noticeable.
Review 119:The 2-bedroom villa was arranged well with bedrooms, baths, and fully equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The pools were clean and the adult pool was very quite (note: I was there from Wed. - Fri., so I don't know how it would be on the weekends).
Review 120:I titled my review: "no Surprises" because I own at Park Regency & have come to Desert Breezes over the past 20 plus years many times. Did not like black long hair in bathtub. Could not use stove as the metal burners would not adjust right. Large decorative clock was broken in dining area. (little things mean a lot). It always happens that something is broken & spend vacation trying to get it fixed. We did not bother with stove because we were there only two nights.
Review 121:Bed, pillows, & covers inviting & comfortable ; location of room with trees & peaceful ambience. I also liked the lamps that illuminated enough so that one could read by them. Most times they are dim or need replaced.
Review 122:Very nice facility well kept grounds. Great golf course associates with Palm Desert country club.
Review 123:The one bedroom was bigger than my first apartment.
Review 124:Not 24 hour front desk
Review 125:Nice hot tub , pool and tennis courts
Review 126:Good value. Quiet.
Review 127:Paying for wifi.
Review 128:Excellent clean bbqs. Lots of choice of pools
Review 129:Waiting to check in felt like boarding a plane. Keys not given before 4PM to anyone.
Review 130:Nice facility, spacious room, hot tub was excellent
Review 131:no room service during our stay (only 3 days)
Review 132:Beautifull bungalow with ALL comfort. Everything was very clean excellent quiet location.
Review 133:Not really within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.
Review 134:Great value for the u it. The staff was wonderful.
Review 135:Great location, close too all the activities in the area. Nice tennis courts.
Review 136:Everything was great. Would stay there again.
