Reviews for Lipa Lodge Beach Resort
Review 1:-
Review 2:Charming and well kept resort to escape everyday life. Very peacefull and romantic place. Very helpful and kind staff. We enjoyed the somewhat isolatet location
Review 3:It is out of the way from many of the restaurants and bars, come here if you are looking for peace.
Review 4:Very friendly staff, excellent food and a nice quiet spot on the beach! Loved our stay here.
Review 5:Very expensive food in local restaurant due to absence of competition. Bike can be rented minimum for a day\250 baht (it is absolutely unnecessary if you want just to get 7\11 or fruit market - difficult and long to get there on foot). There was a snake at the territory - just right at the bungalows.
Review 6:Location is great if you want to stay alone away from crowds. Beach is wonderful, bungalows and restaurant are right on the beach, fantastic view on sunsets.
Review 7:A buffet breakfast would have been nice, but we could choose between Continental and an American breakfast, both of them just fine (the former with your choice of eggs, the latter with a very good pancake - both of them with toast and a fresh fruit salad). Fresh fruit juice woud have been nice, better than the very sweet stuff the Thai seem to like. But hey, no real complains.
Review 8:Peace & quiet, attentive and friendly staff, nice saltwater pool, clean rooms, great shower, beautiful garden, wonderful food...need I go on?
Review 9:Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, bit more variety for breakfast would be good.
Review 10:Location, staff were fantastic, room was something out of a movie where it was located.
Review 11:The WIFI in the rooms were intermittent but this isn't necessarily a bad thing- it was nice to disconnect. The WIFI connection in the reception area works perfectly.
Review 12:I went during low-season. Lipa Lodge is situated on the west coast of Koh Samui, which is the quieter side of the island compared to the party-side of the east coast. The hotel can help to hire a scooter, which we used to get around the island and explore the west and north coast. The beach and warm waters are paradise. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Review 13:Sadly,the Breakfast selection was very limited. Great if you liked Eggs,Eggs,or Eggs. Unfortunately, we had Pillows that were very small and uncomfortable they were possible meant for a child's cot.
Review 14:Beautifully kept Resort. Attentive staff...Tum is new and doing a great job.
Review 15:Very poor breakfast. Don't expect anything cool from it. A few fruits pieces, toasts, eggs. That's it.
Review 16:This hotel looks like a heaven. It's located pretty far from other places. The sunsets are great here. The room is the small building near the beach. The veiw from the bed is so cool here! The hotel area is clean and green. Bike order here costs 250 TBH. You should take it because otherwise you won't see the island.
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Lipa lodge is a small resort, suitable for kids, young people and elderly people. The location is excellent if you fancy a peaceful and quiet environment! Its located on the quiet part of the island, however, the pier is within 10 minutes by scooter and the tourist area on the other Side within 30-40 minutes. The pool is cleaned every day and the beach is within 20 m of the lodges:) sea is quiet and no rubbish at all! The lodges are quite big compared to other ( more expensive lodges on other islands) and therefore the price is realy fair! The staff is always friendly and the manager will help you with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Although the included breakfast is simple, just as everywhere in Thailand, you have the opportunity to choose breakfast a la carte, for very reasonable prices! Lets say 150 bath..also the dinner is realy good! For good prices as well! I can recommend this place if you like quiet and relaxed atmosphere!
Review 19:The staff was friendly but not very sensitive. One evening very loudmusic with lot's of beats. We could almost not hear each other . Wewere the only ones in the restaurant . We asked for some other music (the previous nights it was lounge and jazz music)but the only thing theydid was to put down the volume. Also the bed was very hard. We paidalmost 200 euro per night (4 persons) comparing to other rooms andresorts the price /value is not good (too expensive ).
Review 20:The resort is quite old and a little bit out dated. But it's on thequite part of the island. Beautiful sunset as it is the west part in theisland. You can walk to some other restaurants a long the beach. AndNikki beach is only 200 meter walk.
Review 21:If you want a party place this isn't it, it was perfect for me. I didn't want to go anywhere but if you do want to explore you will need transport.
Review 22:Beautiful location, great beach and pool, everything you need if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. The staff were do kind and helpful, I really had a wonderful time. I would recommend Lipa Lodge to anyone looking for a Koh Saumi paradise beach.
Review 23:N/A
Review 24:The staffs were just nice. We were almost alone to enjoy our break without thousand tourists around.
Review 25:Main building looked a bit tired. Breakfast the same every morning.
Review 26:Beachfront
Review 27:Staff was unfriendly. The rooms were outdated. Far from main point of attraction (about 1h by motorbike). The breakfast was terrible.
Review 28:Nice beach.
Review 29:What's not to like
Review 30:Great secluded location very peaceful. Fabulous sunsets, staff very friendly and helpful
Review 31:Could take 30 min to get a fried egg. Breakfast very limited
Review 32:Wonderfull garden
Review 33:Hard beds
Review 34:Beautiful location, friendly and helpful service, cleanliness, simple Thai style bungalows, quiet and peaceful
Review 35:A bit dated in places and some distance from road
Review 36:Position and layout, food.
Review 37:That it was peaceful and relaxing
Review 38:Friendly staff Nice food Great, quiet location - but need a bike to get to the town
Review 39:The only thing I didn't like was that the Internet seemed to start each morning at around 8am...probably as someone started work and reset the routers. ;)
Review 40:Lipa Lodge is in a beautiful setting. I stayed there a few days ago for 4 nights with my Thai fiancee and we were both delighted with the facilities. It suited us in terms of quality and budget and I was glad to be a distance from the boom boom of the more expensive Nikki Beach. Its a geat base and we were able to tour the Island, visit friends and family and I would definitely bring my sibblings here later in the year. I found breakfast to be great fro both an Englishman and my Thai partner. Like others say its around 45 minutes from the bustling Chaweng and clubs but a beautiful retreat setting. Great to stroll in the shallow warm waters whilst watching the sunset. And literally about 20 paces from our lodge house! Heaven or Sawat or whatever you may call it; we were very pleased overall and would definitely come back. The staff were freindly and helpful.
Review 41:Superior double lodges are small as is the bathroom. Also breakfast is limited in its choices.
Review 42:Lipa lodge is an excellent switch off in a beautiful location, situated right on the beach and away from hustle and bustle.
Review 43:Beautiful location, right on the beach with quiet and lovely grounds. The restaurant was very good and right on the beachfront. A great place to see the sunset and relax during the day. The family villa was very large, with two en-suite rooms, and views of the garden and sea. All of the villas are well spaced in the lovely grounds,
Review 44:service at the restaurant very slow Wifi didn´t work at 2 days Beach a little bit narrow and with grey sand, maybe not what you would call perfect/tropical, but nevertheless good for walking along and swimming
Review 45:big garden where you can lie under the palm trees beautiful sunset on the terrace of the restaurant very silent and relaxing atmosphere
Review 46:Nothing negative experienced.
Review 47:An outstanding location with beautifully kept grounds, well laid out, well kept and very peaceful. The very friendly, polite staff could not have done more to make our stay more pleasant. The food in the restaurant was superb! A perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy quiet time in a paradise like setting! Great value for money!
Review 48:We spent our five best days of the vacation in Thailand at Lipa Lodge! No need to leave the resort for another beach or food for that matter (very tasty and excellent value). And we were taken care of very well indeed by the staff, especially Tan, who really added the little extra to our stay with his nice, caring way. Highly recommended!
Review 49:Bed was very hard! Breakfast selection basic.
Review 50:Great to stay in a boutique lodge with only 14 rooms, nice and quiet, and all rooms have some or great sea view and easy access to the beach. Getting a scooter was good as the lodge is 5 mins from town. Great swimming pool, nice sandy small beach, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food was good. Beautiful part of Samui island and away from the crowds, a nice base to explore from.
Review 51:Most of the staff, they could not speak engkish, even the manager wasnot able to greet his guests nothing to do there small swimming pool, that is no resort 1111, that is for old people, who want too do nothingthe whole day , it is ridiculous. Although the price was reduced tooexpensive, thery are "crazy", you need a taxi always a car ora bike !!! never never again !!!!!DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL take NIKI BEACH RESORT
Review 52:The room, ten and Cheng-beng.
Review 53:Although great sea view, bathroom cramped and the room a bit small.
Review 54:Location Location Location! And reasonably priced and the staffattentive. Ideal place to just chill. The restaurant although basic isgood value, however Lipa Lodge is in easy reach of quite a few otherhotel restaurants if you want a change of menu.
Review 55:Just one thing - matresses were to hard for me.
Review 56:This is paradise! A resort with small beach houses around a beautiful, private beach. In private ownership, with private service. Very good food, and all still affordable.
Review 57:The prearranged taxi was not at the airport to meet us.We were unable to control the air conditioning in our room. The breakfast selection was a bit sparse and cold and hot water were not readily available with the breakfast drinks.
Review 58:The staff agreed to pay the difference in the quoted taxi fare versus the cost of the one we had to organise for ourselves from the airport. Location was lovely and the staff were very friendly.
Review 59:Wifi didn't work during the 2 days I staid there. The place is a bit isolated, but with a motorbike it's fine.
Review 60:The room is big, beautiful and cozy. The resort, as well, is very nice with easy access to a quiet and clean beach.
Review 61:We couldn't stay longer than a day as we had to move on - would have loved to stay longer.
Review 62:Very friendly staff, good English speak abilities, they booked our ferries for us for island transfers, came to pick us up and had welcome drinks for us. Lovely private lodges, good pool area and good food. A lovely welcoming place to stay in koh samui
Review 63:The obnoxious, arrogant Buggy brigade of twenty or more a day who keptinvading the grounds giving us cause for concern of the security of thebungalow in which we were staying, also shattering the peace and quitewith their screaming children & very, very loud conversations fromthe sea to the beach.
Review 64:The rooms, pool & grounds at this resort are kept to a very highstandard. Idyllic location with the most fantastic staff.
Review 65:That we couldn't stay longer!
Review 66:We absolutely loved this place, it was so relaxing with a fantastic team of staff, the rooms, grounds and pool are spotless, the location idyllic, worth every penny, highly recommended!
Review 67:The location was perfect to unwind after a few crazy days on KohPhangan. If your looking for peace and quiet and a lovely beach thenhighly recommended! The staff were lovely and very helpful and the roomwas clean! Pretty pricey but was high season:) only negative- not muchgrub for veggys who dont eat fish or eggs!

Review 69:disappointing breakfast
Review 70:wonderful garden clean beach nice pool area really relaxing atmosphere
Review 71:Isolation.
Review 72:Size of rooms, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, inexpensive food and drink, quality of food and grounds.
Review 73:Relaxed atmosphere, good food, friendly very helpful staff. Quiet location. Is superior to resorts in this area
