Reviews for Nikki Beach Resort
Review 1:Some prices. Sunday brunch price should be reduced in case you are staying and breakfast is included in the rate.
Review 2:People and service. Specially Boy, Boom and Oyy (sorry the misspellings). They are all very nice people although with these 3 we had the chance to meet. Marketing lady was also very nice as well as Natalie. They allowed us to stay till 5pm with no additional charge as our flight was late in the evening. Beaches there were great.
Review 3:Everything from the location of the property to the helpful and polite nature of the staff. Would definitely come back and stay at the property in future Thanks to the wonderful staff for making our stay a memorable one :)
Review 4:No bath tub in the room, not match with the description when booking.
Review 5:I love the swimming pool. It's very relax to swim. The staff is very nice and friendly. The room is clean and tidy. The sun-set is very beautiful.
Review 6:They were amazing!!! My mother is disabled and they actually build a ramp over night so it would be easier for her to get to the room. But this hotel suppose to be wheel chair accessible and it's not really. Every thing else was great.
Review 7:Noisy Sunday Brunch with loud music, house music on the main pool for Saturday Barbaque, parties on the pool with sound system test, etc.. quite annoying if you go thailand to relax. If you like pool parties this is your place. Breakfast, pillows, bed sheets, etc.. are not 5 stars (Specially in Thailand).
Review 8:The bungalows with very nice terrace facing a beatiful garden and seaview Sandy beach few steps from the rooms. Amazing 60 meter pool in the private area.
Review 9:The location!!! the hotel is far away from the center (50mins). I expected it to be more fun like Nikki beach Miami but it was dead and almost empty. Although I paid for 6nights but I ended up checking out after the 3rd night to move to another hotel in chaweng beach area.
Review 10:Sometimes the music as a bit overwhelming and breakfast could have been a bit more sumptuous with more options.
Review 11:The location was perfect with the option of 2 pools as well as the beach. Staff were really warm and friendly and the service was always excellent
Review 12:It is a hotel that does not say very much. The prices are very high, the location is far from many sights of the island and why we choose this hotel was the club nikki beach, but has facilities only on Sundays and where those who stay have the same price and have to pay including the entry. for those who are familiar with their parties from other location, this place is very poor.
Review 13:The location is a little far from the centre, but the taxi fare is fairly ok and we have 6 people to share.
Review 14:The friendly staff was a real add-on point in our trip, they answer all your questions and I can see that they are trying their best to help with calm and friendly attitude. The room is well designed and the decoration is amazing. We were in the villa and its cleaned and tidied everyday, the shower facilities remain my favorite in all my travel experience. The Thai massage we did in hotel is good as well, better than the one I did in Bangkok I will say. The hotel food is a little expensive but affordable, and they are actually very nice, far above the average and its worth the money.
Review 15:I didn't like the fact that I had to ask for a truer price for a taxi. I felt a little taken advantage of when I had already spent a lot of money there.
Review 16:The staff were great especially the massage ladies. The facilities are top notch. It was down season when I visited so really quiet which I liked but would not be for everyone so of you want it busy I suggest checking peak season.
Review 17:The Sunday brunch was very good, but we found it a bit off that to be able to use the pool area on Sunday we had to take the brunch (and it's not cheap).
Review 18:Great room, friendly staff, nice pools.
Review 19:All was good, but sometimes its hard to understand local staff english, but well I wont say that its a - :)
Review 20:Great location, friendly staff, awesome beach and great atmosphere
Review 21:- breakfast (very small variety) -beach is a small stripe - area in the middle of nowhere -staff was very uncordinated -
Review 22:+ sunday brunch +Bungalow + staff Nathalie
Review 23:Breakfast is poor for a 5 stars resort, the dinning menu is poor as well, not so many options and the location is really bad, it's very far from the island nightlife.
Review 24:Private swimming pool for the guests and beach club swimming pool open for non-guests with dj and comfortable beds. The full bedroom is amazing and classy.
Review 25:During heavy rain water was coming in through the window of the extra bedroom, after some time it started to smell moldy. Breakfast orders some days took very long.
Review 26:very friendly staff
Review 27:The distance it was away from everywhere.
Review 28:We absolutely loved staying at Nikki Beach the staff were very attentive and helpful. We missed the Sunday Brunch that they have which was a shame. Berm and Nax were excellent staff working by the pool.
Review 29:there was one incident when we were limited to our choice of sun deck seating area due to a event later in the day. somehow, i feel that top priority should always be for the in-house guest. something to look into for the management?
Review 30:this hotel is very comfortable to stay in. can see that the staff had put in great effort to converse in english. well done! overall, a great experience!
Review 31:Some services too expensive ( as laundry) Fitness rom is adequate equipped with poor temperature control (vert hot!!)
Review 32:Location Great staff Clean, well maintained and high standard all over
Review 33:Location, nice property and calm
Review 34:Very quiet resort Wrong side of island Small private beach
Review 35:Accommodation was beautiful
Review 36:Breakfast
Review 37:Please improve breakfast and specially for Muslim like Halal breakfast with halal sausages etc
Review 38:Love everything. The place is perfect!
Review 39:The most amazing place to stay at while in samui. A must go resort while in Tahiland
Review 40:Not much to do after 6PM, the place goes dead and there is very little life music, events, shows, etc.
Review 41:Rooms were amazing
Review 42:Far from the downtown area
Review 43:The pool and the beach, brunch was also amazing
Review 44:Nothing bad that I could honestly say
Review 45:Amazing layout and pools, great food, prompt service and very freindley staff.
Review 46:Right by the beach. Great views
Review 47:Very quite - lacked atmosphere especially at dinner
Review 48:Just dreamy
Review 49:This place is amazing definitely go
Review 50:Far from chawing beach
Review 51:Cleanliness
Review 52:It was technically empty but i went in the low season
Review 53:Internet Expensive drinks
Review 54:Breakfast was terible .....
Review 55:Amazing pool, amazing rooms.
Review 56:Could have been some activities for the kids
Review 57:Facilities, pools, food and dj near the pool.
Review 58:Loved the pool and DJ music during the day. The food was fantastic but the Sunday buffet was a real let down very expensive and average
Review 59:No real beach Breakfast Beachclub area needs maintenance
Review 60:Beautiful long pool Spacious room
Review 61:Towels and badclothes look not clean because of spots.
Review 62:Perfect design, very quite location, excellent staff
Review 63:remote location, yet there is only 1 restaurant in the hotel. not much choices in the menu.
Review 64:pool, comfy bed. good place for sunset
Review 65:Staff. Great bangalows.
Review 66:Nothing
Review 67:Everthing
Review 68:Everything
Review 69:Clorine in the swimming pool should use salt
Review 70:Great venue . Staff really nice great sunday brunch party.. Music was great
Review 71:More expensive than other resorts and hotels on the island, but you pay for what you get - excellent facilities and service!
Review 72:Had an excellent trip at Nikki Beach, Koh Samui. Located on the West of the island so more secluded and out of the way then the East near Chaweng. Brilliant beach and peaceful with fewer people there. Facilities were excellent and we were treated brilliantly by staff throughout our stay. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Review 73:Poor room amenities. Only shampoo, conditioner, Body wash, and body lotion provided. For amount of money spend per night, we expect to have at least toothbrush!
Review 74:We took a private long-tail boat trip to Koh Taen island. The trip was well organized by the hotel and decently priced (5000 bhat for the family) but the picnic basket provided by the hotel and prepared by the "chef" (that was separately mentioned in the trip brochure) was below average.
Review 75:We genuinely liked the peaceful location away from the main tourist areas. Food was excellent, especially when enjoyed during the sunset on the hotel's terrace restaurant. There were almost no other guests so we had a 75-meter long "private pool" with 31 degrees Celsius warm water, three meters away from our room.
Review 76:The only slight downside is the location. It is roughly 30-40 minutes from anywhere you want to be. However we enjoyed this as other areas were very busy and it was nice to come back to a peaceful resort.
Review 77:On arrival we had a long and uncomfortable journey, as soon as we arrived it was like a little hidden paradise. We were given fruit juices on arrival and jasmine scented hand towels to refresh and led to our rooms. Our room opened up on to a pool and to the left was an amazing view of the beach. The staff were more than helpful with any queries we had, food at the resort was amazing, room was cleaned everyday, breakfast was included and had a range of choices, around 7pm a member of staff would come to the room with cookies for us. We couldn't have felt more welcomed or comfortable.
Review 78:Location is great for views but its on the other side of the island so if you want to get out and explore its a 45-50 minute ride to get into chaweng. Breakfast is nice but not a lot of variety is available. Wifi is a little slow at times but does work.
Review 79:I loved almost everything about this resort.. Sunday Brunch is the bomb! All the staff a very nice and helpful. I would def recommend this place to anyone who goes.
Review 80:A bit far away from other services, shops etc.
Review 81:Amazing and beautiful atmosphere. Personnel really friendly and helpful. Apartments suitable also for families with kids. Peaceful and safe beach. Luxury!
Review 82:The new part have much less beach than the bungalows part. The two villas take up 75% of the beach front. If you go here on a sunbed you need to basically stay in the guard booth. Prices for the bungalows increased a lot from 2013 to 2014
Review 83:Exceptionally good service. High quality. Good maintenance. Nice atmosphere.
Review 84:Not much to do if there wasn't anything happening at the beach club. The area surounding Nikki beach is very quiet
Review 85:Rooms were amazing. Beach club was amazing
Review 86:Food!! Only one restaurant and no change on menu, restaurant staff should recommend a proper dishes to customer, but they don't. It turns out we ordered too many food. Breakfast is terrible, not delicious at all...
Review 87:The service is awesome, most of staffs are nice, some couldn't recommend good travel info. But most of the atmosphere, service, and facilities are very good. Worth go visit again.
Review 88:Nothing at all. However one should be aware that this place is veryremote (for us it was a plus). We did not leave the hotel for theentire stay :)
Review 89:The place is just amazing. Staff very friendly and atmosphere veryrelaxing. Great food although variety is limited and prices are not low.All and all - amazing place
Review 90:The location is very far from island center. no facilities outside the hotel near area.
Review 91:The hotel pool and restaurant is great. Rooms are amazing ! ferry pier is close to the hotel.
Review 92:Negative aspects: °Nikki beach is the worst placed hotel on the island: you are far from everything. °This hotel is very noisy (exept if you take the bungalows that are far from the main swimming pool), so if you want to be relaxed you should go for an other hotel. °Since bungalows are in front of each other everyone can see what you do and you can see what others are doing. °There are workers working in the bungalow area from 7am till 7pm everyday (we stayed for 2 weeks and they even were there during the weekend and sunday!), who stare at you when you're in your room or swimming in the swimming pool (not really nice). °Since works start at 7am, it happens they use hammers and other noisy tools that wake youup exept if you don't hear noises when you sleep. °Compared to other hotels (The passage (closest to the hotel), four seasons or others) the personnel is very unfriendly (seems like they are having more fun between each other than with the customers. °Very little choice for breakfast. The room were is the buffet is like an oven (don't know how the food stays fresh there) and I hope you like your fruit with ants! °Maybe a detail for some, but very important to me: the deckchair are in plastic (don't. Fit to the luxury image they try to give themselves), the beach is dirty and there are jellyfishes in the water.
Review 93:We stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and could build an objective opinion on it, since we had a car we visited other hotels and restaurants. Positive aspects: ° Nice rooms, a lot of choice for the sunday brunch.
Review 94:Too much noise from the dj at the swimming pool. During their Sunday brunch buffet it was impossible to get room service and we didn't subscribe to the buffet so it was impossible for us to get food in a hotel that charges 1000$ a day ! Made us feel like staff cared more about their visitors at the swimming pool ordering champange than their actual guests. Villa had 2 separate bedrooms without connecting door so not ideal for staying with small children. Prices on the high side.
Review 95:Location was exellent, staff very friendly. We rented the beach villa with private swimming pool which was super. Make sure kids can swim because pool is 1m50. Everything was very clean and food was good.
Review 96:Only one restaurant which does not offer much choice. The Big John Seafood restaurant is 5-min in the south, which is a supplement for Nikki Beach. But we still expect more food choices around Nikki. We book the 6-person family suite, but the 2-single-bed room is between the 2 king-size-bed rooms and does not have separate bath room(I mean toilet) and no door to the outside. It's not convenient for the people living in it. Hope this could be improved.
Review 97:Nikki Beach has an amazing swimming pool which is right outside our suite, this is the #1 recommends. Besides, Nikki Beach has the most beautiful sunset which should not be missed. The room is clean and cozy, worthy the money. Food in restaurant is tasty. Nikki Beach is best for those who want relax and less noise.
Review 98:The beach front bungalow was not really "BEACH FRONT" you hadto walk a few metres to get to the beach. Nikki beach is a party place,It was not convenient for us as a family with children to be in themiddle of all the jamming of music. The location is very far, It took us30-50 minutes to reach the other side of the Island where the bestrestaurants and activities are located.
Review 99:The staff were very friendly, they made sure all our needs were met.
Review 100:The food is quite expensive and there is not much variety - but it is very tasty.
Review 101:Lovely hotel with stunning views and comfortable rooms, each room has a lovely patio/balcony, the facilities are great.
Review 102:We thought there would be more pople there on the Saturday but apparently the big day there is the Sunday brunch which we missed as were flying home. It is very removed and expensive to leave the resort to go anywhere else for food/drinks etc. Having said that the food and drinks were great and the location beautiful so we didn't really mind too much for a few days.
Review 103:The place was beautiful, the accomodation brand new and the pool area with the beds great. The food was also really good.
Review 104:The location wasnt ideal as tehre is not much in the surrounding area but teh price to get around Thailand is minimal and teh hotel do excellent day trips and provide collection and drop offs. So there wasnt much we didnt like really!
Review 105:We wanted perfection and luxury and we got it. I was just gutted we only booked it for 3 days so we will most definitely be returning next year. On arrival we were aware there was very little in the surrounding area of the hotel and it was a fair walk to the nearest shop or restraint however once in Niki beach resort there really is no need to leave as you have everything you need right there. We did see a few people on Nikki Beach bikes but we didn’t enquire so maybe you can borrow a peddle bike to travel around which would be ideal. Jacob the manager looked after us superbly from the second we checked in, he gave us a tour of the whole resort which included, private beach, café, restaurant, 2 pols and gym.The facilities in the room and the décor was perfect I think anyone who faults it are completely picky or deluded. The bed, shower, wardrobe space, mini bar, balcony and air conditioning were all excellent the quality thought and effort in these rooms are first class. It is definitely worth the money. On the Friday evening we had a buffet dinner where the food was some of the best we had throughout our whole trip. The food was fresh, there was a huge variety and although it was a little expensive in comparison to the other places we had stayed in Thailand the food was pretty much faultless and it is easy to get your money’s worth by sitting in the gorgeous restaurant and going up to the buffet as many times as you like. A great personal touch here was the chef walking us round and explaining each of the dishes to each quest personally.A day round the pool is filled with music from the resident dj and is chilled out and relaxing apart from on a Sunday when the legendary pool party is in full swing. We stayed for the pool party on the Sunday and it was one of our best days on the island. The food was amazing as always and the dj and staff kepy us entertained all day. We drank, dance and parties all day and watched the sunset with over 100 people.
Review 106:Toilet - you have to use a water hose (not like a garden hose - a bit more sophisticated) to get the toilet to flush properly. The rooms still require keys to enter as opposed to the latest technology. Upon arrival, we were given a tour that felt more like a sales pitch for the Nikki Beach Resort company. Although we were at the resort during a slow/calm time, it was very unprofessional to see the staff lounging in the vacant rooms and around the pool area. While I'm all for staff having breaks and not looking busy for the sake of looking busy, it's just a bad image.
Review 107:Location - a bit secluded from the party scene on the island, so it was quiet and tranquil. Amenities - there was access to a private beach area and there was a private pool for resort guests. The grounds are beautifully kept. Room - the room was a good size and it was very clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor space/balcony with lounge furniture and fresh beach towels daily. The rooms also are very private (almost like a semi-detached casita), even though you can see the other rooms. Staff - very friendly and helpful.
Review 108:It is very far from all the action on the island do it cost about 1000 bht each way everytime you want to leave the resort and do anything. Also I was there in July which is their off seasons so the resort was pretty empty during the week. There were a lot of times I was the only person at the pool or bar or restaurant.
Review 109:The place is amazing! Bungalow was amazing! Staff is amazing. Food is amazing. Sunday brunch is amazing! Beach was pretty nice.
Review 110:Attentiveness of the staff overall during the stay.
Review 111:Amazing place to stay. Breakfast, lunch and diner were all top quality. Sunday Brunch was the highlight of the trip and must be done by all!
Review 112:A bit pricey. Hotel sells price by reputation. Get get better hotels for cheaper.
Review 113:Location & ambiance.
