Reviews for The Inn at English Meadows

Review 1:A meticulous, inviting Inn. We enjoyed the hosts Kate and Dave--they were friendly and helpful in suggestions around the area. Our Suite was comfortable and most attractively furnished. Would highly recommend!!

Review 2:We were just a bit too far from Portland where we had business yet we enjoyed being in a quaint, historic area.

Review 3:Staff was excellent, helpful, didn't get in our faces yet provided help when needed. The building was tastefully decorated and designed.

Review 4:The shower in the room was essentially a closet with a shower head. The water pressure was weak. It was a shower fitter essentially. The ceilings are very low but not a problem for us because we're short. Emailed ahead that I don't eat pork. The only accommodation made was to take it off the plate except one day they replaced the bacon with an English muffin. That was pretty disappointing considering the price paid. The fireplace was not working the first night but it was fixed the next night and they gave us a bottle of wine to try and make up for the minor inconvenience.

Review 5:The breakfast was delicious. The room was nicely decorated. The innkeepers were knowledgeable about local recommendations on places to eat. The room was impeccably clean. There was a welcome basket when we first checked in with goodies and maps and guides for the area. There were nice bath products for use. Daily baked treats and coffee available during the day. Complimentary sodas in a mini fridge near the room.

Review 6:Only minor complaint is the carpet in the room (#5) really should be replaced. Everything else about the building and the room is really outstanding. This being said I would still want to stay in this room on our return trip. This room is really nice.

Review 7:This is a wonderful bed and breakfast, located within walking distance to Dock Square. Our room was very spacious with a very large bathroom and shower. The bedroom had a gas fireplace that was perfect for the chilly eve and mornings. We loved it. The breakfast was like fine dining. 3 course presented professionally. Coffee is outstanding. Owners are very responsive to every request and need. We will return.

Review 8:Could have used more space to open up the suitcases. Other than that, we didn't have any negatives about this B&B.

Review 9:Within walking distance of Kennebunkport. Beds were the most comfortable we've slept in. Breakfasts were wonderful - particularly the yogurt panna cotta with blueberries! Loved the sitting areas, carriage house and homemade cookies in the afternoons. Loved breakfast flexibility 8:30 to 10 am.
