Reviews for Executive Suites Hotel and Resort, Squamish
Review 1:Lack of clothes storage area when using the hot tub. Noisy children in nearby room and up and down hallway past 11:00 pm made it hard to get to sleep. Notified front desk.
Review 2:I loved the room and all its amenities, the view from our private balcony was breathtaking. The heated underground parking was nice as was the outdoor gotten and pool. Overall Well Done.
Review 3:We were in room 108, which is just over the underground parking garage door - which made a bit of noise - not terrible - but if you're sensitive to this type of thing - get another room.
Review 4:Great Location - good Staff - Underground Parking nice in the cold weather. More neutral - Lots of hockey kids in the hotel this week.
Review 5:The staff were very accommodating when the room we were initially booked into was not up to standards. The kitchen is well equipped and the suite was spacious. This is our second time and we plan to return.
Review 6:travelled with our two grown up children. Also had our grandson. rooms were excellent and in a great location for our visit and trip to the polar express the following day.
Review 7:Awesome room, perfect for spending a couple of nights, very good amenities like fridge, stove, microwave, sink, dishes and more! All this a very good price. I will stay again at this hotel and recommend my friends to do the same. Unbeatable deal.
Review 8:The size of the suite was perfect with a very comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. It was very clean and had a cosy feel to it when the fireplace was on. Having access to a heated pool and jacuzzi was a bonus, especially when our grandchildren visited. We will certainly stay here again!
Review 9:First time actually using the kitchen. However, the fan for the stove was not working and the kettle provided was also not working. When we decided to cook lunch, we had to open all the windows and the balcony door in order to air the place out. It was a bit of an inconvenience as it was very cold.
Review 10:Love the location. It was our second time staying at the Executive Suites. Great view. Clean suite. Friendly staff.
Review 11:Potential to be an amazing hotel in a great location. The grounds were in rough shape. Overgrown paths, rotting and unstable bridges and covered in goose/duck feces. Very beautiful but be careful where you walk... Also, there was a kids hockey team staying in the hotel. Usually no problem but they ran screaming through the halls and outside the front of the hotel and pool areas for hours at a time with no follow up from the hotel...
Review 12:Beautiful hotel. Great location. Room was in very good shape and met all my needs. Staff was helpful.
Review 13:Room had an old Insignia tube type TV, that only had 8 channels and the TV neither faced the couch nor did it face the bed....they need to upgrade the TV and channel selections.
Review 14:The amenities and room decor and layout with a balcony was really great. Staff, namely Karen, was excellent and really helpfull.
Review 15:The room was incredibly hot even with the windows and door open. It made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. As well as an uncomfortable mattress.
Review 16:Hotel room was very nice and well-equipped! The Living Room restaurant was delicious!
Review 17:Requested early check in as family member was getting married. At 1300 we were told that there was still someone in the room even though check out is 1100. We got ready in another family members room. We got the room an hour before leaving for the wedding. When we got home that night around 2300 we came in to find a huge water leak coming through the roof in our kitchen and our iPad was on the counter. Luckily it was not damaged as it was in a cover. If it had been over two feet on counter the water would have soaked it. My son had to sleep to the sound of water dripping into a basin. We were refunded half our room rate.
Review 18:Location, great patio with awesome view and waitress
Review 19:Didn't have any complaints other than just a suggestion or where improvement could be made to make it even better- the furniture and such looked quite worn out also the TV in the room and the fridge handles. But it wasn't a big deal and definitely something we don't mind overlooking because of how amazing everything else is
Review 20:What an amazing place to stay! Breathtaking views, home-y and comforting atmosphere and great service. The ladies at the front desk were able to fulfil my request for an early check out which we really appreciated. They were all very kind and polite. 5 stars for sure overall for this lovely hotel.
Review 21:There was nothing not to like about the Executive Suites in Squamish. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the location is perfect.
Review 22:Staff could be a bit more friendly.
Review 23:Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Excellent choice for family travelling with children. Full kitchen, relatively a lot of space.
Review 24:Food in restaurant poor and breakfast was not available until 8 am which is far to late if you have things to do.
Review 25:Good facalities with everything that you would need
Review 26:It would be nice if the bed is more comfortable. Water pressure in the shower needs to be improved, our room was on the 1st floor and it is still very weak.
Review 27:Great location, we have a one bedroom suite, very spacious. I like their trolley at the lobby, makes moving our suitcases from the car to the room very easy.
Review 28:Service slow in restaurant because of staff shortage. Second day breakfast was luke warm by the time it arrived. Both mornings had requested more cream from server but ended up going to find it myself. Pol was overcrowded first afternoon with quite a number of adults drinking beer in the pool.
Review 29:Room was nice and comfortable. Easy access to highway and local features
Review 30:You need to get cups with bigger handles.... The small handles are an accident waiting to happen.... Very hard not to burn oneself on hot liquids!
Review 31:Loved everything else!
Review 32:When we needed to use the tissue there weren't enough for both of us. On to of that, we had to use our own tissue box that we brought with us. The room was a bit smaller than our last stay.
Review 33:The bed was comfortable.
Review 34:shower curtain smelled like urine! Toilet paper roll almost empty, when asked for more they gave one roll and gave insufficient face cloths when asked for enough for 3 gave two. No early breakfast before 8am on site.
Review 35:Washer, dryer, hot tub and gym
Review 36:The restaurant only opened at 8:00 am for breakfast. A bit late for a hotel that caters for people that are in Squamish to participate in all the outdoor activities that the community has to offer. We went somewhere else for breakfast the second morning as we had an early golf tee time.
Review 37:Location of the hotels is great
Review 38:• I feel that they aren't looking after the place as well as they could. Our door was sagging and the insulation strips were missing. (Apparently an oversight due to a paint job.) • No flat screen TV in such newish building is a little puzzling. (Apparently new ones are on the way.) The TV is also located very poorly—square on the bed and square on the coach. Strange. • AC was noisy but we discovered that at low fan-speed things were bearable. • No garbage can at entrance. I never did find out where to dispose travel garbage. • Narrow in-out of parking lot—almost drove into a fellow guest, or actually he into me.
Review 39:• Overall a great place in a wonderful part of Canada • Nice and relatively spacious suite for a good price.
Review 40:I had asked for a top-floor room online, and also away from doors and machines. Somehow, we were given a room on the main floor right above the door to the underground garage. Would have appreciated attention to my requests, but I'm not sure if the hotel actually receives the requests or not. I've never seen a bed made that way before. Short-sheeted on the top. Not folded over the blanket.
Review 41:The room was lovely. Well-appointed, with a small private deck and a great little kitchen, which we didn't get a chance to use. Even though we were given a main floor room, it was moderately quiet and pleasant.
Review 42:As this was built on a tight budget it was a long walk from the elevator to our room. The pool was too small to bother swimming .
Review 43:We were upgraded to a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the mountains overlooking the golf course. The furniture was spartan but clean and comfortable. The balcony had a table and chairs which was great so we sat outside to take in the quiet astounding setting. We enjoyed having breakfast outside on the restaurant deck as well.
Review 44:Restaurant didn't open till 11am during the week, could only get breakfast there on Saturdays and Sundays.
Review 45:The location, quiet and yet close to thehighway with secure underground free parking. Very pleasant staff in reception and restaurant.
Review 46:We had a balcony/deck that we were looking forward to using but unfortunately our neighbours were smoking and very loud so we were not able to enjoy it at all.
Review 47:The location was fantastic for us.
Review 48:I liked the waterfalls and mountain bike trails behind the hotel. They have been there a long time and up in the hills there is an abandoned golf course filled with salmon berries.
Review 49:Our ac unit was quite loud and seemed to be barely working but to be fair, I didn't bring it up to the front desk at the time due to the hour of night and our kids already sleeping in the other room. I believe given half a chance they would've gone above and beyond to find a solution.
Review 50:Staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and welcoming.
Review 51:Not one single complaint ! Just wish we could have stayed longer !
Review 52:Staff was fabulous ! Room was spacious and wellappointed,restaurant/pub has the best food !!
Review 53:First- the hotel room alarm clock went off at almost 1am disrupting mine, my wife's and my 2 year old's sleep. When Inshared this with staff they apologized for the issue but did not suggest any recompense for the trouble. Not that they had to but when you pay for a room to sleep in and something in the room ruins your sleep so abrasively the proper response is to offer more than "aww that's not good" 2.The breakfast we and our friends got at the hotel restaurant wasn't great. We got 4 different menu items and none of us were happy. Way too expensive for the portion - flavourless and misrepresented in the menu. Staff shared they were aware that the menu was incorrect AFTER our food was delivered and told us that they couldn't do anything about it now that we had the food. Glad to have had food. Wish it was worth the money. Besides those two things out stay was great
Review 54:Staff was friendly- front desk seemed understaffed but the people there did a great job. The indoor/outdoor pool was very nice- well kept and back onto a beautiful mountain view. The room was nice, quiet, and in good shape.
Review 55:Housekeeping a little sloppy. When checking the floor space before we left I found a package of cigarettes and a package of soya sauce under the couch.
Review 56:It was nice to have a full kitchen, complete with dishwasher! We had a room in the back overlooking the green space, very peaceful.
Review 57:None.
Review 58:The overall setting, with a golf course at the back of the hotel (verypleasant view from our suite), not too far (driving) and there's asupermarket where you can get everything, and if that's not enough, there is a London Drugs not too far from the supermarket, and if one isnot inclined to cook, there are lots of restaurants to choose from.
Review 59:We would have liked the back patio and grounds out of the dining room to be a bit lit with landscaping lighting.
Review 60:Staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner in the dining room was absolutely delicious.
Review 61:The dishwasher in room 410 is louder than my chainsaw...but everything else was great.
Review 62:Great Location- near walking paths in Squamish and hiking trails with beautiful mountains!
Review 63:Breakfast in the restaurant was disappointing. Almost nobody there, but once we ordered our food, it took a whole hour for tit to arrive. We politely asked when we could expect our food to arrive, and were told three times that it was "on the way." But a whole hour passed until we received it.
Review 64:Pleasant room
Review 65:Thought we reserved a king and we got a queen which was hard when we cosleep with our infant.
Review 66:Loved the size of our rooms, staff was amazing and great location.
Review 67:The one-bedroom we stayed in was lovely and it is located 35 minutes from Whistler, so makes it a great value if you want to ski without paying the village prices.
Review 68:Quiet area only 40 mins from Whisler. Rooms look like miniature appartments that are roomy and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean heated pool and hot tub hat are open year-round. Will return.
Review 69:The dining room is not open for breakfast during week days, and on weekends only opens at 8:00, which left us needing to go elsewhere in the morning which took additional time away from skiing. The drive is about 35 minutes between Squamish and Whistler one doesn't always feel like making the drive after a long day of skiing followed by a good dinner, but it was worth it overall.
Review 70:We spent 3 nights at the Executive Suites during a ski trip to Whistler. The accommodations were considerably cheaper than comparable accommodation in Whistler, the unit was roomy, and the staff were uniformly helpful and cheerful.
Review 71:People above us stomped around in their ski boots for what seemed like two hours in the early morning.
Review 72:Got a good deal and the suite was large for a studio. The kitchen was fully equipped and the mountain view was great.
Review 73:We were located over the hot tub area- guests were loud in the hot tub after 10 pm- ask for a room away from the hot tub!
Review 74:Facilities were clean, room was comfortable with nice amenities. Good value
Review 75:Only stayed for one night. No brekkie available on site in the restaurant.
Review 76:Went up to Squamish to do a little winter steelhead fishing and was taken aback by the hotel. The staff was super friendly, was rather helpful in helping us get around town and showed what Canadian hospitality is all about. Will gladly stay here on my next trip up.
Review 77:No dislikes!
Review 78:Easy to get to, great location for area amenities, great dining room and facilities. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wonderful get away- will be back
Review 79:Our daughters found the sofa bed here was the worst of 5 hotels we stayed at on this trip to Vancouver & Whistler.
Review 80:Great value for our money spent @ Squamish/Whistler. Nice town. Great fish & chips pub!
Review 81:Wish there was a road connecting from the hwy closer to the hotel. Instead of having to drive all the way Down through the residential neighbourhood and then back up the hwy passing the hotel again.
Review 82:The room was really nice and luxurious. And some dishes where provided in the kitchen which was great!
Review 83:There were a few small items missing from the kitchen inventory, but this was easily rectified by the awesome staff.
Review 84:The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The location is gorgeous and the view from the room is spectacular. Awoke in the morning to eagles sitting atop the tall tree not far away. The rooms are very nicely equipped, designed and finished, and very comfortable and easy to live in. The fireplace is nice and the ensuite laundry is a great convenience.
Review 85:No hot water in our room and then very poor excuse given from reception upon check out as to why there was no hot water for the rooms. Hotel is looking a bit tired with "bear with us" signs in the elevators.
Review 86:Lovely and clean and big suite, nice undercover parking and check in staff were very pleasant.
Review 87:We were woken by a fire alarm at 5am on Saturday morning. Understandable as the hotel is currently undergoing some minor (at least to us) renos. However, at no point was there an apology or check in from staff after the fact. It would have been nice to have the fact that we were woken up in the middle of the night acknowledged, been given an explanation and an apology.
Review 88:Hotel room was spacious and having the fully loaded kitchen was a bonus. Loved having the fireplace!! We enjoyed the hot tub and used the weight room. We had a lovely weekend...
Review 89:We enjoyed the beautiful environment, the accommodating staff, and a very comfortable suite, This is the only place we would consider staying on our next visit to Squamish.
Review 90:There is nothing that we don't like about The Executive Inn. I am not crazy about the drive from Horseshoe Bay.
Review 91:Close to our son's family, our grand kids. The rooms are excellent value for tre price. The staff are ALWAYS helpful.... even agreeing to get my grandson's "parachute toy" off of the balcony of another room. Thank you
Review 92:Nothing.
Review 93:The room was modern and very well equipped. Full kitchen with everything you might ever need. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Room was beyond our expectations! Close to everything.
Review 94:The windows, the inside of the bathroom door, and the carpet were not as clean as they could have been.
Review 95:The staff was great. All of them were very helpful and friendly. The fireplace was a bonus, what a excellent idea! The room was warm and comfortable. Kitchenette was well stocked, even the cookware was good quality! The whole suite was nice and bright, another thing I appreciated.
Review 96:Only one serving of coffee per person with a Nespresso machine. We brought our own coffee but their was no way to make it. Not a big deal but if were were staying more than one night an automatic drip coffee maker would be nicer. Otherwise kitchen was okay.
Review 97:Comfortable one bedroom accommodation in quiet settting just at the outskirts of Squamish. Would like to return and use this hotel as a base from which to explore the area, including a day teip to Whistler which is forty-five miles North. Lots to see and do in the town and surrounding area.
Review 98:Just one small issue. Because the shower curtain was cloth and re-washable, it became sort of sour smelling with in days and did take over atmosphere of suite. I washed it a couple of times and wasn't a problem for me. I did have a washer/dryer in my suite. Just don't know if everyone would be cool about that. Thanks. looking forward to our next stay!
Review 99:Was a great place! Will stay again and would recommend to anyone.
Review 100:DVD player couldn't play CDS, the carpet meeting the kitchen floor showed a few frays sticking up
Review 101:Free upgrade to include washer and dryer. 1 bedroom suite was handy, great kitchen, comfy bed, fireplace, dining room table, recycling, green practices, etc. The whole suite had the convenience of home but in a relaxing atmosphere.
Review 102:Need more signage as the Resort was hard to find in the dark. Everything was wonderful when we found the property.
Review 103:Loved the room setup, the friendly staff and their grand tips. Amazing value for a 1 bedroom suite! The underground parking was much appreciated. Would highly recommend!
Review 104:My mom and I went for dinner in the restaurant. There were only 2 tables of guests. We had to ask them to change the music which was loud and a bit annoying. They were happy to do that for us, which was nice.
Review 105:The Hotel is in a great setting. We enjoyed the views from our balcony. The pool and hot tub were nice at the end of the day.
Review 106:We liked everything about our stay at the Executive Suites. A lovely suite with everything including an insuite washer and dryer. Quiet, set back from the busy highway. Beautiful view of the mountains. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff. A great place to stay.
Review 107:Nothing
Review 108:The rooms were very clean, spacious and nicely furnished. The kitchenette was well equipped. We would definitely stay here again! A reasonably priced - and good- breakfast buffet.
Review 109:That we didn't have time to stay for a week.
Review 110:When we checked in, Karen was SO helpful! She got us an additional night at the low rate we had already booked, assigned us a spectacular room, gave us great ideas for dinner, recommended places to see and things to do, and just really made us feel welcomed and cared for. Thanks so much, Karen!
Review 111:Our suite was lovely, with great views. The staff were very friendly and we had a great dinner in the restaurant. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks again.
Review 112:On first visit in June hot tub not always operating. Restaurant not open for breakfast for June and September visits.
Review 113:Location is outstanding with wonderful views of the mountains. In nice quiet area but fairly close to supermarkets.
Review 114:The hotel was much better than expected. Room cleanliness was great. Facilities were well kept and maintained. Staff was attentative from the moment I walked in the lobby. Would love to stay here again!
Review 115:There was some sort of stain on the shower curtain. The cleaning staff didn't do a whole lot cleaning. We came back and were surprised they didn't unload clean dishes from the dishwasher or put a few pop cans into recycling. Maybe I expect too much?
Review 116:We ended up booking a second night to prolong our enjoyment of the room and pool/whirlpool. We had a one bedroom suite away from the highway with a stunning view over the (closed) golf course, pond and mountains. I'm from Vancouver and these views make me want to book this as a regular fall retreat (esp. at the great rate we got by booking the night before). It wasn't busy when we were there, so the pool and whirlpool were practically private amenities, which was kind of awesome.
Review 117:The kitchen appliances are becoming dated . We unplugged the fridge as it rumbled all night.
Review 118:The beds are very comfortable and the studio suite is big enough that we can entertain friends and family. Our grandchildren love the pool.
Review 119:If I want to be really picky, we had a first floor view into the car park.
Review 120:The rooms were spacious and had everything you wanted to make the stay comfortable.
Review 121:There was nothing I didn't like everything was perfect well except the wifi but that didn't spoil our stay there.
Review 122:Squamish was a one night stop for us on our holiday in Canada. We were doing a lot of travelling. Would love to stay longer another time.
Review 123:It is a relatively new well maintained hotel. The 1 bedroom suite was large and well equipped. Not right downtown if you need that, but we found it close enough and quieter than downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful Will definitely stay again if we are stopping in Squamish.
Review 124:Our room wasnot as clean as it could have been. The golf course needs a lot of work. The restaurant is not open for breakfast.
Review 125:The dinner in the restaurant was fabulous.
Review 126:Disappointed restaurant not open until 11am weekdays, so had to go elsewhere for breakfast, and the menu looked so good!
Review 127:Reception staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Upgrade to room with outlook/balcony at back very pleasant and peaceful. Squamish is a great location/destination - better than staying in Whistler!
Review 128:Highway back to Vancouver on Sunday evening heavy traffic, sometimes coming to dead stop. Better to have supper in Squamish and travel later.
Review 129:Easy access to all outdoor activities especially white water rafting. Room service breakfast on the balcony Easy drive to Whistler for a day outing. Fabulous mountain views
Review 130:Nothing!
Review 131:The room was spacious and very well furnished, stylish and spotlessly clean. The kitchen facilities were excellent. Despite high occupancy, there was no noise and we had a very peaceful night. Shuttle bus offered to local casino. Sea to Sky Gondola five minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 132:Place is quaint and the rooms are very nice with everything you need. The Living room restaurant is really nice and the food was good, Josie the server was quite fun and an awesome server.
Review 133:heavy duvet, like a lead blanket, all pillows were huge
Review 134:location away from the highway, friendly smiling reception staff, immediate attention to a problem, kitchen facilities
Review 135:Loved the studio room it is very spacious and had everything that we needed. Pool area was just perfect and specially getting our pedicures on the pool patio was a nice treat. The Food and Décor in the restaurant was really nice and we already planning to come back to this hotel soon.
