Review 1：Hotel very very tired, we went there 25 years ago and it is still the same 25 years on. Wifi so slow virtually doesn't work.

Review 4：The staff were excellent and attention to detail very good, nothing was too much trouble, no issues I did unfortunately leaves granddaughters pocket money in a travel money envelope in the room.

Review 5：While many staff members were friendly most were dour, unhelpful and never smiled or gave any sign that their salaries were being paid by the guests. Also the gym is awful and the hotel generally needs some investment. Prices were outrageous

Review 7：I think the rooms could be modernised slightly as they are now starting to look quite dated. Stayed here a few times and this along with a new gym were the things I thought needed improving each time.

Review 13：1. Too close to the airport - you can see and HEAR planes taking off from nearby Faro airport way too often, which spoils the atmosphere; 2. Noisy A/C unit in the room, external A/C unit on the terrace (as opposed to elsewhere where it would not bother guests); 3. Pretty basic selection for breakfasts - e.g., the only vegetable available was tomatoes (one would expect more in a five-star hotel); 4. In general, the food was nothing much for a five-star hotel; 5. Most of the staff not particularly friendly or helpful.
