Reviews for The White Barn Inn and Spa

Review 1:Breakfast was a disaster!! Two young inexperienced waiters, badly trained. Took 20 minutes to get our order - and only then because we complained. Check in told b'fast included (per booking.com)- but check out asked to pay US$60pp! We refused - & management accepted our complaint.

Review 2:The location was lovely - so was the restaurant White Barn for dinner. Food superb & staff friendly & knowledgeable

Review 3:Your hotel is a bit outdated. The room smelled musty. For the price I expected it to be better. Some staff were great but others a bit pretentious. I would never stay there again and I will not recommend the inn.

Review 4:Poor quality bedding (synthetic sheets)hard high pillows, low onamenities, no mini bar or coffee machine in room. No welcoming bowlsfruit etc. or coffee/tea available thruout day. Wifi down andmanagement unaware . a disappointment..Same for the highly rated restaurant. Worst omelet I ever had (paper thin and hard)and toast which was EXTRA came dry with no butter on side. Staff abundant and polite but inattentive. Dinner was tasteless and cost $400+!!

Review 5:Courteous staff. But that said, no follow through.

Review 6:Too expensive as room was extremely small - and that was after a free upgrade.

Review 7:Everything was of a very high quality. Staff very helpful. Beautiful location.

Review 8:Kitchen. Food is mediocre and super expensive. No value for money. Room was made quite late in the day. Music was on repeat and terrible.

Review 9:Atmosphere

Review 10:Our room was incredibly disappointing. We went for our honeymoon and had stayed in the main lodge before - this time we booked a garden view room and had an queen bed, with no garden view at all -- overlooked the woods and a petroleum tank.....was very disappointed for the cost of the hotel.

Review 11:Had a great time at the restaurant bar and an had incredible time with staff and bartenders. Also had a great couples massage that was fantastic!

Review 12:The booking experience was nightmare. The booking at the hotel had the wrong dates and the wrong room type. Fortunately I called to make dinner reservations and figured out the date problem. The room was still wrong when we got to the hotel. The staff sorted it out eventually, but this was much more work than it should have been.

Review 13:The hotel and restraunt were beautiful. Very relaxing trip after we straightened out the book fiasco.

Review 14:How attentive the staff was. Also the little "extras" throughout the stay that make you feel like you're someplace special. For example, the bottle of champagne in the room to welcome us and the many little culinary tastes during breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. It has a very warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Review 15:The room was drafty. The heating system was very loud and turned on and off frequently, making it difficult to sleep at night. The bathroom was FREEZING.

Review 16:The setting and the restaurant were beautiful.

Review 17:Room in eaves and a little smaller than expected for the price.

Review 18:Very atmospheric. Delightful staff. Food exceptional. Worth returning to even from "Old England ".

Review 19:Very poor Wi-Fi in our room Never made it into the bar due to stuffy jacket requirement Breakfast was frankly embarrassing for a hotel in this price bracket

Review 37:The room was on the small size and not what we would consider a"Superior Queen". We were celebrating our anniversary. We hadrequested a room with a view and got a room with a view of the backparking lots. We also, had requested a table with a view and we were putin a corner

Review 38:We did the Grand Chef tasting menu and it was outstanding. The chef is atrue master. We loved seeing the kitchen and the chef at work. He waseven creative in signing our cookbooks. The only thing we were missingwas the recipe for the Smoked Lobster. Truly, a wonderful adventure
