Reviews for The Chesterfield Hotel Palm Beach

Review 1:The only thing we didn't like is we couldn't stay longer!

Review 2:The facilities are charming, well appointed and comfortable. The staff was attentive and friendly. We had s wonderful breakfast in the Leopard Room.

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:The hotel really is quaint. Beautiful decor and great attentive and friendly staff. We loved everything about the hotel. Location was top notch, only a couple of streets from the famous Worth Avenue. So glad we paid a little extra (compared to other hotels in the area) as it really was well worth it. Can't rate highly enough, just wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 5:This was "the find" of our trip!!!! This is a wonderful "Boutique Hotel" that is extremely well located with all the amenities you could ask for. We stayed in a "small queen" and it had a great feel to the entire hotel and stay experience

Review 6:Hotel staff was very attentive and over-the-top helpful. The hotel, in general, was super clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating. Great pool. Quiet and relaxing environment. Will definitely go back again. Food very good, too! Thank you!

Review 7:Queen room way too small for two people and at $500 night is too expensive for what is offered. Tiny room very loud air conditioner , over decorated and not that clean

Review 8:Friendly staff

Review 9:The people, the service, the restaurants and the atmosphere all fabulous. The rooms are a bit small but it is an older hotel. It is lovingly and perfectly cared for. Worth Avenue is a block away!

Review 10:We weren't told of a party in the lounge and restaurant until after the party started. We were given the room right above the lounge where the band played until 1 AM!!! Very noisy.

Review 11:The hotel was lovely and staff very attentive. Of course the location was excellent..a short walk to Worth Ave.

Review 12:The woman who checked us in gave my niece a key to a room that was already occupied. Ehen she told her the problem, she said she would give her the key to the room next door. My husband and I were in that room! Not very good first impression. One of the smallest bedrooms I ever stayed in.

Review 13:Breakfast and the ar atmosphere and service.

Review 14:The reception upon arrival of one individual was cold and uninformative, leaving me looking for the elevator, pool area, and carrying my own luggage. There was a hold on my credit card 400 above the cost of booking and it was not posted on the site I booked through, nor was I informed at booking. First impression is a lasting one for me. Note: amenities were sparce...no refrigerator in room or beauty products. Very poor water pressure in sink.

Review 15:The hotel is inviting with a pretty sitting area upon arrival, cookies are available and other guests were offered a sherry. I was not. There is no formal front desk area just an open desk location with offices behind it. Very clean and decorative, but, a bit feminine for a man. The pool, location, and restaurant are very nice and for the money I paid it suited my needs.

Review 22:Loved being able to walk 3 blocks to shop and dine on Worth Avenue. Staff was very accommodating-even went to the kitchen to gather ingredients to make our favorite cocktail that wasn't on their menu. We had a small suite that was extremely comfortable-even had 2 separate bathrooms. Pool was quiet, simple, and staff was attentive

Review 53:The rooms could use a little update

Review 54:The staff was amazing and welcoming. The hotel was clean and comfortable with an amazing location.

Review 55:I loved everything in this small Luxury hotel: Mr Mattwew welcomes you with warmth and such classy manners that makes you feel immediately a special guest.

Review 56:Can't think of a single thing.

Review 57:Personable staff throughout (valet, concierge, reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant), complimentary valet parking, fresh flowers, stylish decor, room amenities like quality linens, toiletries, etc. Special off-season rates for Florida residents.

Review 58:Only a minor complaint that the room was a little small. But if is an historic hotel and that is to be expected.

Review 59:It was a quaint and comfortable hotel. The staff and amenities were very pleasant. The pool area is lovely and the good and bar were perfect.

Review 60:I had trouble charging my iPad. The charger did not get fit well in the outlet over the chest of drawers.

Review 61:The food was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free valet parking was very much appreciated.

Review 62:I liked everything...

Review 63:Friendly and attentive staff. Clean room and bath. Comfortable bed, nice furnishings. Convenient and efficient Valet and Concierge.I did not try the restaurant or bar. Small and cozy.

Review 64:I was not happy with my Room (Junior Suite) as it had no window in the Bedroom and was very dark. The only little daylight came from the small annex-room. When I asked for another room they offered me only one for an even higher price which I was not willing to pay. Bathroom in my room was old and needs to be renewed.

Review 65:The Chesterfield is a unique Hotel with a special Athmosphere

Review 66:There is nothing not to like, but it's a pity that the swimming pool isn't a bit bigger...

Review 67:Staff can't be praised enough! Everyone, from the valets to the waiters, was extremely helpful and professional, and will go out of their way to assist you in any way they can. The location is ideal, minutes from the beach, the Flagler Museum, Worth Avenue and most restaurants. If you value service, stay here!

Review 68:The wi-fi kept going down and needed to be rebooted. It was very annoying. The breakfast buffet's offerings could be expanded.

Review 69:Very attractive decor and you can walk to Worth Avenue and the beach easily.

Review 70:Reception needs to be sharpened up with more attention to detail, but when pressed they were helpful.

Review 71:The Leopard Room Restaurant was excellent and dinner service great but that wasn't maintained at breakfast and lunch time, as though different staff. Pool excellent at a good temperature and attendants excellent. Location near Worth Avenue is excellent with many good restaurants within walking distance.

Review 72:Some parts of the bathroom need to be redone and the wall a/c was loud. Some channels were seen well but others were not and there was no choice for movies. Thank you

Review 73:The location of the Hotel Chesterfield is perfect. Very friendly staff in all the departments. Our room was small but very clean.

Review 74:Vent in the shower wasn't working; location of my room was directly over the Leopard Lounge......a bit noisy.

Review 75:Location was excellent. Charming, warm, friendly staff....very accommodating!

Review 76:the room is really small, and furnitures are quite old. the staffs at the resturant are not so nice and friendly ,waited so long to be properly seated!

Review 77:location is great! the stuff are all very friendly!

Review 78:Loved the staff. Marlene at reception is the best! Very attentive, friendly, and helpful! Room was great, clean, comfortable. Common rooms - library in particular - were very welcoming and comfy to hang out in.

Review 79:Arrived at 15-00. Room was'nt ready for an hour. Room was very small and bathroom was "tired".

Review 80:The restaurant. Food and entertainment were very good. Staff were very helpful when we decided to return home early because of illness.

Review 81:Room was quite small. Would book a larger room or suite next time.

Review 82:Great location, excellent staff....the Reservations Manager was terrific. She was working the front desk when we checked out. She reminded me of the best staff at the Four Seasons. Food in the restaurant was extremely good, will definitely return in the future,

Review 83:If you want to get the real Palm Beach experience, stay here! Registration is done sitting down with a glass of sherry. So civilized! Our room was small but beautifully done, the Leopard Lounge has great food and dancing. To top it off you are a short walk to Worth Avenue. Great attentive staff. Small and posh. A great part of old time Palm Beach.

Review 84:the night club was really loud but a popular place in Palm Beach, so it depends on what your looking for. I was looking forward to a quiet wknd away from everyone. catching up on some sleep and reading a good book... didn't happen...Oh well had a nice weekend anyway.

Review 85:The staff was really great. and the rooms were very nice, very clean. nice bathrooms. and really comfortable beds and pillows.

Review 86:No hairdresser.

Review 87:Wonderful hotel. Rooms adequate, nicely furnished but small. People lovely. Chocolate cookies in lobby every day! Nice pool, breakfast and lunch served by pool.

Review 88:Rooms are a bit small, restaurant service not the greatest.

Review 89:Great classic hotel in a fabulous part of Palm Beach. Very convenient, great service, updated rooms, lovely pool, walk to the beach/shops. Wifi is included.

Review 90:Our stay was a quick weekend getaway for our wedding anniversary. The staff could not have been more accomodating. We received a room upgrade and unexpectedly, champagne and strawberries compliments of the Hotel. My wife was thrilled and we hope to make this an annual tradition.

Review 91:Small Room Decoration from a bygone era Loud Air Con Four blocks fromthe beach 22% added to the restaurant bill Lack of parking. The hotelstaff had to move your car every 2 hours

Review 92:The staff were friendly and could not do enough to help, sometimes overhelpful. As soon as you pulled up people were opening the car doorgetting you luggage out. Outdoor pool very nice with soft drink andwater complementary. The inside is very quirky as though they are livinga bygone era. You could take afternoon tea for an extra $25, eat in therestaurant but 20% tips would be added to the bill plus 2% tax. This wasprobably one of the cheaper hotels in Palm Beach. Two of the standardsthe hotel prides itself in was cleanliness and attention to detail. Wethought it fell down on both of these. There was a red stain on theDuvet Cover and also on the wardrobe door. We thought this was strange. They had tried to hide the stain on the Duvet Cover by putting thebottom part of the Duvet at the top. This makes us feel that the DuvetCover was not changed from the last people who used the room. We spoketo a young couple who thought the hotel was very good, but our opinionwe would not stay there again. We prefer a more modern hotel

Review 93:entrance courtyard awkward to navigate, noisy piped music playing most of the day, rooms tight, didn't replace soaps.

Review 94:Intimate, great decor, friendly staff

Review 95:The bed was too small for an adult couple. It was a full size, not even a queen. They did not honor the breakfast package of $16.00 per person per night. No parking garage, car was valet parked on street which we could have done. Flies on cookies in reception area - the tray should have been covered.

Review 96:The Staff, matress, quiet, no kids, breakfast,

Review 97:We loved the professionalism and generosity of the staff and theChesterfield's general practices. Sadie greeted us by name wheneverwe passed her registration desk. There were fresh, homemade cookiesavailable in the lobby, apples for the taking throughout the day, andcandy in jars for guests to enjoy. We loved the Tuesday and Wednesdaynight piano music in the Leopard Lounge...good ballroom dance music--lots of Sinatra, Perry Como, and others. $5 sliders and drinks during5-7 Happy Hour. Yum! The Afternoon Tea in the Courtyard was deliciousand relaxing after a busy couple days of sight-seeing. Our bed was socomfortable! We could eat breakfast wherever we wanted, and we chose bythe pool. Very nice. The staff was ultra polite and went out of theirway to make our stay nice. I also liked that it is an old hotel withhistory. This means that it isn't fancy but that it has a lot ofcharacter. It's a unique place. If you're looking for glitz andglamor, mirrors and brass, and modern decor, this is not the place foryou. But the Chesterfield offers wonderful charm, excellent customerservice, and many little touches that made our stay very nice. Thank-you, Chesterfield staff!

Review 98:breakfast: they dont have a plain yogurth! and the choices of bread so poor! the carpet should be clean more often.

Review 99:bathroom with new towells all day long. staff very friendly amazing in room fresh flowers

Review 100:The staff is great! Freindly and competent service in all requirements. The room superb. The pool and jacuzzi a pleasant experience. I highlyrecommend The Chesterfield.

Review 101:Our room was comfortable but could benefit from a minor renovation. The room and bathroom was small but adequate although the addition of a coffee/tea appliance in the room would have been welcome.

Review 102:The staff was excellent. From the front desk, concierge, parking attendants and housecleaning staff there was always a pleasant demeanor and efficiency. When our room location did not work out we were given a choice of rooms from which to choose. The move went quickly and easily. The hotel was very clean and charming.

Review 103:Everything

Review 116:It was inconvenient as my conference was at the Breakers and transportation had to be pre arranged.

Review 117:It was very classic and comfortable.
