Reviews for Kerme Ottoman Palace

Review 1:The bed was upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, with a somewhat shaky stairway in between.

Review 2:The common areas are lovely and the staff very helpful. We spent a rainy afternoon reading and writing on the covered part of the patio and then in the large open common indoor area, and it was a great place to do that. Wonderful breakfast buffet as well, and beautiful area to sit by the pool. The hotel has its own generator, which helped in stormy weather when the electricity in the town can dip in and out.

Review 3:It was not clean at all and the things were not working right like electricity and the safe in the room. The shower door was so hard to open you definitely needed someone to get in and out of the shower. The shower had was not spraying a uniform flow of water so it was hard to take a shower. The staff was very amateur and didn't know what to do most of the cases. They did not speak very good English or some cases no English at all. It was very expensive for the quality I received in return.

Review 4:The location was ok.

Review 5:We choosed payment by another card onsite and payed +38Euros fot that, last day when we are leaving, they told us that they realizedwithrawal usin visa card communicated to booking.com for 2 days and wehave to for 3rd night. Once we left, we realized that they charged usfor 4 nigh and we stayed only for 3 night, so we had to came back toexplain and to make them cancellation, also we did wanted to pay withanother card and that is why choosed this option when reserving onbooking. Girl on the reception was terrible, terrible experience andnot even talking about price, We choosed this hotel thanks to photos, and they are fake,Terrible breakfast, terrible staff, if you want becomfortable, choose another hotel.my suggestion is, dont decide and bedeceived by photos. ONce I asked for shampoo and toilet paper, reception says that they will send to the room, and never bring it.Terrible terrible and terrible.

Review 6:Nothing

Review 7:Perfect! Extremely friendly staff. Huge breakfast buffet, Beautiful location and scenery. Mountains in the background next to a small river. Best value for money!

Review 8:Balcony is almost non-existent... no room for even one chair; hardly enough to stand there. Room size is about 16-18m2; certainly not 30m2 as advertised.

Review 9:Excellent quiet riverside location, yet within a few minutes stroll to the town. Lovely unique boutique feel about the place; very classy but relaxed too. Spotless large pool.

Review 10:My stay at the hotel was very enjoyable, made more so by the lovely day and night receptionists who were very friendly and warm. They were very caring to ensure that I was having a good time, and concerned about my wonky knee from kite surfing.

Review 11:I went to Akyaka for kite surfing, the hotel claimed to have shuttle service to and from the surf beach, this is a false claim, I had to pay for taxis everyday. The breakfast was very poor and they even managed to run out of toast bread on my third day. If your room is facing the right hand side of the hotel, it means that you are only meters away from the streets with no fence etc, I had total strangers stopping their cars to get pictures in the garden a few steps away from my room. The staff is clueless about Akyaka as well and the location is not ideal. I certainly don't recommend this place.

Review 12:soundproof needs to be improved from rooms if it has and hotel management should take an action asap for noisy neighbours..j

Review 13:- good location - have a side of Azmak river with beautiful garden - garden is quite enough and you can read your books from there - kind, helpfull hotel staff - hotel design is perfect, it shows traditional Turkish architecture - breakfast is good and able have it from garden and near the pool - pool is large enough to swim - you can trust hotel pictures, its real..j

Review 14:Bathroom needs serious renovations. the toilet was bearly working. Also it was a little dirty I must say.

Review 15:Authentic Ottoman feel. Great amount of detail is given to it. Great breakfast.

Review 16:We were the only people there and there was no service in the evening in the restaurant . Room service was poor. Don't go out of season

Review 17:Stunning building and interior like a palace. Beautiful rural location overlooking a river and mountains Breakfast food and service excellent

Review 18:We were wrongly charged for several items (meals etc) which we had paid for cash, when we were given the bill on departure. Rather than apologise, the receptionist only took them off the bill reluctantly.

Review 19:The facilities and location are good

Review 20:Having stayed in this location for the last 3 years in villas, we thought we would try luxury, unfortunately the standard of the bedroom /bathroom and the air con was not as good as the different villas we have stayed in. Cannot comment on the food although the prices were high for the region and you can get superb food just a short stroll away for a fraction of the price.

Review 21:Nice looking hotel, lovely pool, great location

Review 22:Management and service unavailable. Food (we had dinner and the fact that in full season we were alone should have warned us) un edible of low quality cooked by ignorant with no care and served with regrets. Do not even approach restaurant and bar. Breakfast very poor and industrial.

Review 23:Splendid building a masterpiece of wood. Ottoman style but with class. Good rooms and decent pool. The location is splendid just on the crystal clear river few minutes from the sea.

Review 24:Small bathroom, tiny shower head

Review 25:Service

Review 26:A litlle run down. Poor breakfast

Review 27:Location

Review 28:Bathroom to small

Review 29:Very peaceful and no loud music anywhere.Very relaxing and staff very good.Good location-not far to village

Review 30:The staff in particular Omur was very helpful when in the Hotel and evenwhen our paths crossed in the village.

Review 31:No bath in bathroom Beds were quite hard

Review 32:Location, staff friendliness and helpfulness

Review 33:Excellent Architecture, so polite staff, wonderful nature.

Review 34:If that is an Ottoman Style Hotlel, there should be a Turkish Hamam !

Review 35:Being on river the area was full of mosquitoes

Review 36:Good Central, stopover on way to Bodrum

Review 37:Would have been nice to have more English staying, but talks are under way to have another tour operator working with the hotel in the future. We did enjoy the adults only in previous years, now children are allowed to stay

Review 38:I was initially worried about booking as we had been previously when it was the Ottoman residence and we loved it, but the reviews about the pool and breakfasts put me off. I am so glad we went the hotel staff could not have been more helpful, the pool was cleaned every day and the breakfast had more than enough choice. It was very relaxing as most days we were the only people by the pool. Would return

Review 39:unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not very good, did not work in the hotel rooms, but ok near the pool

Review 40:beautiful location, ambiance absolutely amazing, very clean, all in all a very good hotel

Review 41:Mosquitos from nearby marsh. Staff were not so friendly as every other place we stayed on our trip. Think they may all have been new.

Review 42:Welcome drink. Nice hotel but oddly positioned. Fantastic village, a nice surprise.

Review 43:If staying for more than a couple of days, restaurants by the beach r a bit limited for a better class of meal at night time although plenty oflokantas around.Had a beautiful steak at lst beach restaurant

Review 44:the location by the river.Very peaceful. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us.We needed 2days of relaxation and that is what we got.

Review 45:The hotel advertise that children under 12 not allowed - that is not the case. Several very small children where in the hotel during our stay.

Review 46:Huge choice at breakfast. Large comfortable bed.

Review 47:Mosquitos of this town are really out of control. Actually it's because of the location of the town, which is in the midst of the nature

Review 48:Staff and owner of the hotel is so kind and helpful. Location is good.

Review 49:The management of the hotel, although nice people do need to get some serious advice about how to run a hotel, as it appears that the hotel has gone from a very successful business under the management of Alytonian Sky to one were a majority of the guess are left disappointed. The sun loungers are all squashed in one area, with no rationale for this given there is grounds are so spacious. Although the breakfast is good there are some problems e.g.no orange juice however, orange squash was available but not what you expect for breakfast when oranges are so cheap and easily available ;the 'hot food' was cold. If you want an omelete or boiled you need ask. The stewed Tea is disgusting. There are few staff that speak English. Rescinding the hotel's policy on having no children under 12 is disappointing as there were young children staying at the hotel, which concerned guests, as the hotel is entirely inappropriate for having young children particularly the 1.8m depth pool. The meals are pricey given the cost in nearby establishments. Dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel, which is fine but guests should be advised of this before hand. Its nice to be able to do yoga first thing in the morning with a yoga teacher to guide you. However, the yoga teacher an charges excessive amount which left me feeling ripped off.

Review 50:Although, the hotel is a beautiful and spacious and very clean. The staff are helpful particularly Hassan the night reception. There is free shuttle service to nearby beaches that are not easily accessible. Although, the village beaches are a short distance away. Rooms are nicely furnished and have both fans and a/c. Hammocks under the citrus trees are a nice place to relax. Mini bar in bedroom is good and very reasonable price. having tea and coffee making facilities was good, although no de-caffe coffee available.

Review 51:Outside the Hotel the dogs at times were noisy

Review 52:a Real Ottoman style hotel, We had a corner room which had 'Tea making facilities' even a fire, mini bar and a lovely river view. Staff/Management were all very helpful and the Shrimp casserole very tasty. Akyaka itself is a small fishing village, hassle free, with a small beach and lovely scenery...NO loud music Ideal for us Mature couple. Marmaris 30min drive.

Review 53:bathroom war narrow,

Review 54:location and architecture is good, breakfast is awesome, staff are friendly,

Review 55:Friendliness of staff. Room size generous. Good swimming pool. Views.

Review 57:the staff's english at time was limit down, but they were very friendly

Review 58:very nice hotel between sea and mountaine
