Review 1：My husband and I went to Maine on an overnight trip. Almost everything was booked on this weekend. I saw this motel. No clue where it was located in Kennebunk till we got there. We would have liked to be closer to the ocean (not their fault). This motel was located right off interstate 95. That may be a plus for some. Motel is very dated, but learning most things are in Maine. Our room was very clean and comfy.
Review 2：Pillows and musty carpet. For the money it was okay.the first time ever with pillows wouldn't give me a good nights sleep...signage could be better for north and south turnpike..

Review 8：The water takes a long time to get warm in the shower, some light switches don't work, the lobby smells like a litter box, they didn't receive our reservation so we had to book a different room when we got there, and wifi was poor quality. Definitely not a stay worth the value of $135/night.
Review 9：Clean room, convenient location if you're passing through on a trip. Noise wasn't bad for being right off I-95. The woman at the desk was friendly.

Review 11：We booked 2 nights so we could join friends at Bentley's. Bentley's shuttle bus picked us up and brought us back both days. It worked out perfect for us.
Review 12：2 problems: one was with the odor which, I think, comes from smokers and/or cleaning products used to take care of those problems. Second, the geographic location which is between two lines of traffic noise... but easy for traveling.

Review 16：The cleanliness and size of the room and the location of the motel to events we were going to. Staff very helpful when asked questions about surrounding area. Very, very quiet even though close to the highway.
Review 17：Please heed my warning and stay somewhere else. This place is not clean, and isn't safe. There was body hair on the sheets, and the room smelled awful. I never leave reviews, but I feel like I need to give people a heads up about this place. Take your business elsewhere. If the owners of this place wants business and a good reputation, they have a lot of work to do!
Review 18：Creepy 1970 decor. Holes in the towels owner/operator did not speakEnglish very well. Motel that is pictured on booking.com is not what itreally looks like. It is very run down. Hotel room on booking.com is notthe room you get. When I called she told me we wouldn't be chargefor an extra person in the room if we brought our own bed. She chargedus $10.00 for an extra person anyway. Needless to say we were in ourroom long enough to sleep and woke up feeling relieved we made itthrough the night in the "Bates" motel.

Review 20：Was not furnished the king bed we were booked for. Price for facility being modernized and comfortable unsatisfactory. We were not happy with the attendant on duty. Hard to understand and unwilling to make any changes when what we expected was not furnished.

Review 25：This place definately exceeded our expectations. The room was huge, had a built in bar with barstools, a refridgerator with decent size freezer, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. It has a sort of eclectic charm to it. It was easy to find and fit our need for somewhere inexpensive to lodge for the night.
Review 26：Mattress was old, soft. No fan in bathroom. Really hard to find staff to check in at 2 pm, despite check in being from 1-3.

Review 28：Mismatched furniture ..and the plastic flowers were not a plus. Both a plus and a minus- the location... It is right on the highway, as close as you can get without paying a Maine Turnpike toll. That said, the room was quiet.

Review 30：The motel is run by the family. They were so friendly and accommodating. Even after checking out they let us leave our backpack and helmets to go off on a day motorcycle trip. When we returned to pick them up, they had also given us an ice pack we had forgotten in refrigerator. The motel was clean with new carpet. There was lots of room too. We are definitely returning later this year or next year when we visit the area again. And the price is great!!
