Reviews for Kerme Ottoman Konak

Review 1:Breakfast was way belove average. Low quality food. Staff said they dont have ice at 11 pm. Staff is not well educated. They charge 4 tl for a small bottle of water

Review 2:Perfect Location, fronf of the river.. Decoration is aimed at the tourists.

Review 3:Have to pay extra for sauna facilities - stayed previously in ottoman palace and this was not the case! Sister hotel!

Review 4:Quality of the room. Albeit poor view

Review 5:i had a problem that i served 2 days through booking, but due to some personnel issues we decided to stay only one day. However the next day early morning i have tolled the receptionist that we are gonna check out but he said you have reserved 2 days and the 2 days will be deducted since "Booking.com" had charged us for 2 days already.!!

Review 6:Bathroom was pretty, but no stopper for the tub meant no bath, and the shower-head placement over the slope of the tub made the shower hard to use. The mattress on the bed was VERY firm. It and the bedding were not super comfortable, though all was clean and in good condition.

Review 7:We loved the architecture and style of the building, including the beautiful design and furnishing of our corner room. Enjoyed reading in the window seat, and there was a fire already laid in the fireplace. Heat worked well, and lighting was good. Would definitely return just for the ambience.

Review 8:We booked a superior delux room, which turned out to be in the roof basically, it was nice but the ceiling was low in the bedroom,it had a seperate lounge, and small kitchen. Didn't like the open stairs much. But worst of all was the bolcony sliding door to the room, it did'nt slide. It spoiled going out to look at the lovely view, we did complain but it was no better after.we did pay more than quoted on booking.com, due to exchange rate drop while we were there.

Review 9:The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the waiter Sedat, we prefered it to its sister hotel just down the road, The Kerme Ottoman Palace. This was 40 rooms twice as big. ours had a better veiw of the river.

Review 10:Our shower was not fixed to the wall and we were assured that it would be fixed the next day,it was not 4 days later when we left.

Review 11:Setting, food, a very relaxing hotel Memhet is all that been said about him and more. If only the way of solving minor problems in the hotel had his approach.

Review 12:Breakfast is poor and stale.

Review 13:Scenery and the nature is awesome.

Review 14:Rooms are too small, bathrooms are outdated and the furnishing needs to be upgraded...

Review 15:View of the stream...

Review 16:The price of the wine.

Review 17:Location, location, location.

Review 18:Very disappointed with the lack of service you get at this hotel. Not really catered for English tourists... Shame!

Review 19:Location

Review 20:Very beautiful, clean and wonderful service. There is one staff member who speaks excellent English and anticipates needs, is easy to approach, loved interacting with our young child and went above and beyond to make our stay luxurious.

Review 21:Bathroom clean, but a little bit to much old-fashion, and indiscreet (the mirrors on the ceiling could reflect your image to people drinking tea on the terrace, and windows pane are not enough opaque, street side). But nothing so serious than it must change the recommandation, just a proposal to improve.

Review 22:Interior design is very surprising and remarkable. Patio for breakfast is near reed thickets, which is also unexpected for who arrives in the night, and discovers it in the morning. Although this hotel has any restaurant, it is possible to order diner, and diner was very good (except tea, really a powder one). Very kind staff. A really nice stop-over, and certainly a vacation-stop to recommend.

Review 23:On arrival, the hotel had no record of our booking. Fortunately, they were able to offer us the room type we had booked. Presumably they took up the matter with yourselves afterwards.

Review 24:wonderful opulent room Very friendly staff Position by river Good breakfasts

Review 25:Wifi worked fine on my husbands iPad but was not strong enough to get on my iPhone. Disappointing.

Review 26:Weirdly wonderful! We stayed one night to break up our drive from Fethiye to Kusadasi. The most amazing thing about this hotel was Sedat, who brought us afternoon tea by the river, served us dinner, and breakfast (which was spectacular!), and generally spoiled us ... making us feel we were the only guests at the hotel. He is charming, friendly, professional, and efficient! He was the reason we enjoyed our stay!! The property itself meets all standards of a good hotel but I personally found the decor over-the-top, cluttered, and therefore not relaxing. A ton of money went into building this hotel, and I get that they want the "Ottoman" feel to it ... but it wasn't that cozy for me. Just too much of everything everywhere. That said there was certainly nothing to complain about! The garden, river, and small pool are lovely. And if Sedat is working the days you are there ... you will surely enjoy your stay.

Review 27:Rooms are small and our bed was terrible. it was noisy and also music too. we couldn't get relaxed first day and we spend all day in the citycentre. Because you couldnt do anything at the hotel. Everything is expensive. There is a small pool but I dont offer to swim.

Review 28:just only panoramic view is nice and Turkish design of the hotel but not more.. And friendly staff (waiters and the receptionist boy)

Review 29:I loved everything about this hotel!!! Dogan in reception is super friendly and laid back!!!! I left my phone there and they're now sending it back to me!! The rooms are amazing, every little detail in the hotel is beautiful!! Truly unique!! Try get a river view room!! Breakfast is greater too Maybe ask them to pick you up when you get there Bec it's too hot to walk even if its 10min and they're happy to help you out!!! Much nicer than some of the grumpy unhelpful receptionist you can come across in turkey!!! I highly recommend and would love to come back here again!!!

Review 30:We had a duplex which meant our room was narrow and a bit cramped. Our room got cleaner over the course of our stay, but was not great.

Review 31:Friendly hotel. Excellent staff. Good location right by the river.

Review 32:Didn't get the room we thought we were getting - description stated river view but got road view - nobody spoke English when we arrived - had to wait whilst room was made up - took ourselves to bar and had to buy a drink whilst waitited.

Review 33:Location Style of hotel

Review 34:Internet was a bit up and down.

Review 35:We liked the location. We liked style and the atmosphere. We liked Duman, the house dog. But most of all we liked Sedat, the star water who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.

Review 36:Friendly service and absolutely beautiful design and architecture. I dined there one evening and the food was tremendous and well worth it. Sedat, the waiter, was so attentive, charming and looks after all the guests making you feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Review 37:Safe price is not included into the room price.

Review 38:We had a feeling of returning to home - such friendly personal and quitness and beauty of location. Personal has good level of english. Very traditional and interesting design, good quality of everything. If you are a kitesurfer than you will have free transfer to kiting spot although we did not use it and walked to the kiting beach 30m each morning - which is not long cause we walked along beautifull river and appriciated this a lot.

Review 39:Our stay was perfect, everything about this hotel was perfect, except for the two mannequins standing in the lobby, honestly it just kinda ruins the interior. I suggest the hotel remove it coz they really don't need those ghastly things to be there :D

Review 40:Love this Ottoman-style boutique hotel! It's truly unique to be able to experience a traditional Turkish ambiance during our stay. Love spending time at the downstairs bar, with a real blazing fireplace keeping us warm. Feels like such a warm country home. There's a little dog (probably belonging to either the owner or staff), and it would sit by quietly at our feet, not begging for food, but just love sitting there, during our nightcap, at breakfast, and even rushed outside the door to see us leave! Best concierge ever!!! Would definitely recommend people coming through to Akyaka to stop by and experience staying in this hotel!
