Review 1：Heat was either to hot or too cold !! Hard to regulate.

The facilities are a little bit older then a five-star hotel but I will definitely stay there again. Continental breakfast was also very good with a very nice selection, great coffee too.

Rooms were clean and must-free and did not smell of chemical cleansers etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good value and breakfast was included. Other guests seemed to be happy and enjoying their stay as well.

Review 27：The AC unit was a little old and would make a loud noise regularly (beyond the regular "running" noise). Their website says the rooms have dvd players so we brought dvds but they are no longer in the rooms because they added on demand time warner to the tvs. The man at the front desk was nice enough to find a dvd player for us to use. There was a little bit of road noise but nothing serious.

Review 29：the only thing that bothered me a little is the hotel is a little bit out of the way,usually i stay closer to the ocean,so i missed that ..but it was still easy to get around This hotel is in Kennebunk but it was still easy to get around to Ogunquit ,Wells and Kennebunkport
Review 30：the motel was a good suprise after a three hour trip to maine,the unit had a mini kitchen with counter,sink ,fridge and microwave ,the unit was extremely clean and spacious,pet friendly,i would definately go back..we were there five days and it had everything we needed,staff was pleasent and helpful...,ground were clean...nothing fancy but perfect for travelers on a budget...great(pricey)resteraunt near by..i had my two small dogs and it was easy taking them in and out to the "dog space"

Review 34：Our room smelled smoky (although it is a non-smoking facility) and the furniture/décor is outdated. The photo made it look like the lodge was near a harbor with pictures of boats in it, however our room overlooked I-95.
Review 35：It's a 10 min drive to Kennebunkport. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and have a full-sized fridge/freezer. They have a pool and games room where you can play pool and air hockey and you have use of barbecues and picnic tables.
Review 36：The picture posted on bookings is of boats on the water and a lodge/building behind. I booked the room believing we were on the water. We were right beside the interstate. I have booked many times on bookings and the picture has always been of the place I was booking. I was extremely disappointed!
Review 37：I agree with other reviewers that 'Lodge' is a bit of a misnomer- it's definitely got an old timey motel feel instead of a rustic national park vibe. The staff at check-in definitely had an attitude problem, but I had someone else at checkout who was quite nice.

The sheets for the bed continually came off, there is no place to hang a towel in the bathroom, the room smelled musty so I bought an air freshener. Breakfast hours were changed from 7 to 10 to a start time of 8 so we had to go elsewhere at additional cost, we could not even a cup of coffee and they didn't have beach passes as they advertised.

Review 54：Very knowledgeable staff, got us to the beach quite easily. Particularly, we stayed another time, two days later, in the midst of a very bad rainstorm. The room was being worked on and wasn't available - the staff went out of their way to get the room ready for us, even with wet curtains. They sold us the last room, at a nice discounted rate. Review 66：The room was huge!! Perfect for us and our infant son. It was right off the interstate so it was perfect for an overnight stay. Although there was a good 3 feet of snow I did get a chance to see a map of the facility and I would love to come back to stay for a real visit sometime! Pool, playground... Review 67：The room was a little cold. The heater was small for the size of the room and the fan was loud. Really didn't bother us as we sleep in a cool room and we both have hearing problems. The bathroom only had one light, the other 3 were blown out. I sent my husband to the front desk but no one was there. That will be a easy fix. The other problem was the toilet wouldn't flush. The chain in the toilet wasn't attached. My husband fixed that. The staff should have checked the room before having guests in the room. Even with the room problems all was fixable. Yes we will stay again.
Review 68：The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The staff that checked us in was friendly, happy to see you. He talked about the renovations, painting and that all rooms will have electric fireplaces when the renovations were complete. We were only here for one nite but will come again. Especially if the room price is good in the summer. Our room didn't have a kitchen but we didn't need it. We didn't have the breakfast because we went to bed at 10:30pm and didn't wake till 9:30 am. Guess we slept well.
Review 69：The room could have been warmer. There was only one heater in the room. There was an electric fireplace but it was not working. The heater was blowing hot air but was partially blocked by the wall in the kitchen.
Review 70：The room was nicely decorated and was very clean and comfortable and had a nice layout. The kitchen was great and would have made a longer stay more cost effective so you wouldn't have to eat out every day. I would stay again for sure!

Review 105：This was our second stay at the Lodge at Kennebunk-the first time we stayed was winter and we were traveling through the area. As we had not planned the stay, the room was not warm as each guest can control their own heat. This time they were expecting us and both the heat and TV were on. I appreciate the conserving way they do business-it is best to reserve ahead or I don't believe it is a negativity for the place if your room is not warm ahead of time. Very clean, and comfortable. Not fancy but great area and value. We will be back again!

The bathroom was so rank with mold and mildew it smelled like an open sewer . The game room offered free pool but had one cheap little stick and the air hockey was jammed up for 3 days. There seemed to be a number of people who were living there and were always hanging around the parking lot.
