Reviews for Inn of Lompoc
Review 1:The staff was very rude. Heaters and wifi in both rooms did not work. Light bulbs in the rooms were out. When we asked to change the light bulbs and to give us more towels, we were told they were out! Bathroom was not clean at all. I will never stay at this property again and request that none of you stay here and waste your money! Terrible place to stay.
Review 2:TV remote in one room did not work. One room missing light bulbs from table lamps. One room had exterior door safety lock/ latch broken off. No way to prevent door from being kicked in. Outside door way lamps not working. Other room had table lamps with burned out bulbs.
Review 3:Beds comfortable. Low price for two rooms.
Review 4:Room smelled and was dusty!! Caused respiratory issues with all of us!! Problems with key, asst manager rude. Old beds, pillows, bedding, and drapes. Staff not very friendly.
Review 5:Inside pool
Review 6:The room was not very clean. There were black mildew stains in the shower and there was dirt on the toilet seat. The towel rack was broken and setting on the counter. There was no remote (tho someone brought that when we called) and there was no pot for the little coffee maker.
Review 7:They have a free happy hour with nachos and drinks as well as a free breakfast. That was a pleasant addition. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The lady in the dining room was nice and gave us good information about the nearby mission.
Review 8:No air conditioning (broken in most rooms apparently). Very, very hot in the room... Loud Mexican party at the neighbors till 2300, no problems, but impossible to sleep as window needed to be open to prevent us from overheating (ac dead, appparently for months...) Very slow and unstable wifi Pad for making coffee, but no coffee machine... Neighboring room guest has pitbull dog on bed. I guess that means dogs have been everywhere here and that explains my heavy breathing, as i am allergic to them. Towel rack fell apart at the lightest of touch. Blinding bed lamp, loose lamp cover, hard to read. No lights on main entry switch => hard to find anything in the dark upon entering No telephone, even the clerk thaught that was hilarious No remote for the tv Dirty shower curtain Broken shower curtain rail Sticky carpet Very hot in the breakfast / happy hour room. No ac... Hairdryer got hot, but no fan. Dangerous!
Review 9:Super guy at the service desk 1700 1900 happy hour (free), served by very kind and helpful lady We got 20 dollar off as compensation for the discomfort. But honestly, they should have paid us, not the other way around.
Review 10:The complimentary breakfast was not up to par but I didnt really care as we were headed to solvang for danish breakfast.
Review 11:The price was great, even lower than I expected. We were in Lompoc for a wedding and the shuttle was picking us up across the street at Embassy. We just needed a place to sleep, shower and get ready. This is an efficient, on budget hotel.
Review 12:Airconditioning was so noisy that we turned it off to be able to catch some sleep at night. The staff told us there is something wrong with every room.
Review 13:Meeting room for breakfast and evening socials didn't have a/c meaning it was very hot. It has also changed names but not ownership so was very difficult to see from the road.
Review 14:Really helpful staff and good facilities. Rooms very spacious with all we needed.
Review 15:There were a lot of French tourists. We have been here before and they come each year. I think the staff should be able to say a few phrases in French and understand some basic things, just to be polite.
Review 16:The room was large and comfortable. We had very good service, with plenty of clean towels and soap and bed made, etc. It was quiet. We enjoyed Happy Hour & breakfast. Checkin and out was fast and efficient.
Review 17:wifi not working and room was not as clean..was late when we got back so to late to change rooms.....one time we were there the spa was broken...was very sad :( last 2 times was kinda disappointing !!!!
Review 18:front lobby man was very nice....like the location ....... the indoor pool is my favorite at Christmas time ....lobby room very comforting.... we have been going to this hotel before the name change.... for about 15 years........ was called days inn before...
Review 19:After checking in, room had broken air conditioner & either blood or ketchup on sheets, desk gave us another room, air conditioner didn't work. Third room air conditioner loud and worked a little. Temp was 101 that day. Room dirty. No coffee pot in 3rd room. T.V had no buttons, could not use. Carpet filthy, smelled like animals.
Review 20:Location and Courtesy of staff at front desk.
Review 21:not coming back.
Review 22:under the prior Name ( Days Inn ) it was very good, under the new name (lompoc inn ) is not the same, bad customer service, lots of broken stuff around the rooms.
Review 23:No air conditioning in hallways or breakfast room making both spaces very uncomfortable. The chain lock on my bedroom door was broken off. Bathroom fan was unbearably noisy.
Review 24:Relatively clean and air conditioning worked
Review 25:Ice machine was broken , HBO feed was fuzzy, breakfast did not have a yogurt , and one of the self serve station was off line. The cereal did not have a natural alternative like granola or shredded wheat .
Review 26:nice size room good location
Review 27:Mold in the shower, The pool room was not ventilated well. Smelled of chlorine lack of Ventilation again... Overall Out dated
Review 28:All was fine for the most part except the shower had mold on the curtain.
Review 29:Initiate rules and regulations handout. This will include the maintenance of peace and respect of other guests. Maybe add more healthy options on continental breakfast.
Review 30:Peace and security is always the concern of most travelers. Needs to notify guests to respect other guests by recognizing peace and quiet in hallway or in their own room. Pple tend to slam doors out of respect. Not to mention loud conversation in the hallway. Rules and regulations must be initiated by the receptionists. A handout of rules must be given to all guests to abide.I bet your will increase dramatically.
Review 31:We stayed 2 nights and we had no screen on the window and the air conditioner did not work. The hotel only gave us one wash cloth each day for the two of us. We decided to go to the pool. We couldn't enjoy the pool as one of the agents on duty had her family there with several children running and jumping in the pool. Her name is Myra, she kept coming to the pool area to talk to them. After awhile they got into the cars and left, but by then I had lost the desire to go into the pool. I did go to the office to ask for more washcloths but was told the didn't have anymore. I would not stay there again.
Review 32:The room had a broken air conditioner, and we were told that all the other available rooms had broken ones as well. Their solution was to open the window, which was a bit unsettling since we were on the first floor. The sheets didn't seem crisp (I hope they were clean.). The bathroom had a very slow draining sink. There were several other indicators of poor upkeep--moldy shower curtains and on the tile, etc. For $109 per night, we expected a much nicer place.
Review 33:When another guest asked for a waffle iron, a staff member went to get one. We left two shirts in the closet, and these were held for us to pick up on our way back after calling a couple of times.
Review 34:The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and old. The Mattress's need to be replaced
Review 35:The room was clean and it came with air Conditioning. We enjoyed the Breakfast and Happy Hour. The best of all was the inside pool and Jacuzzi
Review 36:We did not have a bad experience but one thing that could be improved was the pool area the pool was a little cloudy and there was sand in the Jacuzzi and very cloudy! other than that no other complaints.
Review 37:The rooms were clean and the hotel had a wonderful layout is accessible to all the amenities we loved the happy hour in the continental breakfast in the morning overall it was very nice
Review 38:Rooms was tired, faded worn carpet, mold in shower, peeling paint in bathroom and the AC was very loud, compressor was in need of repair.
Review 39:Location was nice, staff was friendly and professional...room was clean. Price was right.
Review 40:Tub looked dirty but that was corrosion. Weak Wi-Fi signal. Breakfast was free but they should pay people to eat it.
Review 41:At least the free beer was cold at happy hour?
Review 42:There was some noisy people in the lobby and people loitering in the parking lot, and had a very difficult time opening the door with the door key,the remote had no batteries and asked the concierge but no extra batteries and the breakfast room was extremely stuffy
Review 43:That its off the main highway and fairly easy to get there
Review 44:The airco worked but too slow, old fashion I've to say.. We couldn't sleep in the night cause airco wasn't any good(couldn't breath well) & when we opened window the weather was hot (so we had to close it) & beds were little bit hard :( not much fun, thanks God we stayed 1night only.
Review 45:we had two beds.
Review 46:The overall run down flea bag ambience.
Review 47:The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling of of the wall, and had been scotch taped back up, but had fallen again. The AC was not hooked up and when I went to the front desk I was told that not all rooms were provided with AC. I informed him that if I was paying 156$ for the night, I had better have AC. The room smelled of stale air and cigarettes.
Review 48:Front desk service. AC too noisy. Noisy neughboors. Bathroom not too clean. Shower water pressure horrible. Breakfast room super hot and dirty
Review 49:Pillows were Ok
Review 50:The housekeepers were too nosey and bothered me several times during my stay by knocking and consistently asking me if I wanted room service when I would tell them no. They were also too noisy outside the walkway and maybe 3-4 times in a day knocked on my door which was very annoying! I didnt want to be bothered, no respect for privacy whatsoever.
Review 51:I liked the comfortableness of the bedding and inside layout of the room. Easy to access and also it was for the most part clean.
Review 52:No shower water pressure; cabinet door fell off; fridge and microwave were in the bathroom (gross!); lack of drawers; sheets very old and smelled unpleasant; wifi did not work.
Review 53:Parking and location in Lompoc
Review 54:Hotel is in desparate need of an update. Breakfast selection was limited.
Review 55:Staff was friendly and tried hard to resolve issues. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Rooms are also large.
Review 56:The air conditioner made an excessively loud noise every ten minutes or so that sounded like an alarm clock- made it so we couldn't even sleep. When we told the front desk, there was no apology or anything. Made me feel like the next person would just have to deal with it too.
Review 57:The continental breakfast was good.
Review 58:The property was rundown. When we arrived in our room I noticed the AC didn't work. When I called the front desk to let her know she said she was aware that the AC didn't work and they wernt replacing the ones that were broken. She suggested I could open the window, bottom floor room, single mom with small child. When I let her know that wasn't an option she did refund my money.
Review 59:The desk clerk was nice and understanding of the issue and promptly refunded the charges.
Review 60:I don't think it's too much to ask that the blanket and bedspread should be replaced when they have holes in them.
Review 61:We have usually had a good experience here. Clean rooms, good price. Just seemed a little off this time.
Review 62:screens on several outside windows are half kicked out, doors jams where kicked off ,we used the chair in the room to secure the door that night
Review 63:It was the cleanness beat up place Ive ever seen.Repair your Hotel, look like a swat team was practicing on your doors and windows
Review 64:If you want your vacation to be good, please don't consider stayingat this hotel. Ac wasn't working in the room we got, & when wetried to look at the ac controls they were all rusted...as if not usedin many years. We asked for a different room, they instantly gaveanother one, but I overheard them saying that they will clean the roomwith non working ac & reallocate to someone else - point to benoted, they didn't have intentions of fixing it. Now, the new room -ac turned on, coffee m/c missing, iron board missing. I asked themanager to get me coffee m/c, he said very rudely not all our roomshave coffee m/c - if you want one you can unplug & get it frompervious room. I was furious, told him I cannot do that. Sensing myanger he agreed to get me the m/C. While I was arguing, there were 2other families who were complaining about the rooms & service. Andafter 10-15 mins of stay in the room, we realized that though the acseems to be in working condition its not really working. It wasn'tcooling the room at all. Hopeless breakfast, with no options at all. Ourvacation was spoiled, thanks to this hotel.
Review 65:Nothing!!!!!!
Review 66:There was a mix up with my reservation and it had got cancelled and I called to tell them I would be late checking in yet no one told me my reservation had already been cancelled luckily at midnight when I arrived the gentlemen working was great to deal with and I happened to get a room
Review 67:The breakfast was fantastic as were the beds
Review 68:Hot tub had too many chemicals, burning eyes. Staff had zero knowledge of restaurants within lompoc. Asked for a good steak restaurant, he pointed us in the direction of a sandwich shop. He was other very friendly or willing to help.
Review 69:Pet friendly, price
Review 70:The air conditioner did not work but they transferred us to another room the next morning. My biggest complaint would be that the breakfast was mostly breads and sweets. No eggs, cheese or meats, I need protein in the morning or I will crash in about 2 hours
Review 71:Friendly Staff, the pool was clean as were the rooms. No charge for extra towels.
Review 72:A/C didn't work, bathroom fan was noisy, slow wifi connection, peeling wallpaper in bathroom
Review 73:Room was clean and roomy, bed was comfortable. Happy hour in afternoon with free beer and free continental breakfast with waffles.
Review 74:When we got there our friends had just move to their 3 room - the first one the AC was bad the 2nd room smelled like a gym room – there were signs that our room had been broken into, because the safety catch was broken off and the door frame was cracked – the bath mat had mold under it – we were told there was a happy hour upstairs so we went and ask what was available they had one type of beer stale chips – so we will not be staying there again
Review 75:The location was ok -
Review 76:Room were dirty and the ac did not work. The bathroom spelled moldy. Wall paper was peeling room could have been a lot better for what I paid.
Review 77:Very friendly
Review 78:Only negative is that it's not walking distance from the restaurants and bars downtown.
Review 79:Liked the bed, the continental breakfast and the size of the room.
Review 80:It was really bad. When we drove up, we honestly thought the hotel was out of business. All the bottom screens were bent as if someone had tried to break in. Our room had a shower door that didn't close (latch missing) and a microwave on the bathroom counter. The coffee pot was missing and the front desk guy told us 'only some rooms have them' (but all condiments for coffee were there. Happy hour consisted of stale nacho chips and old popcorn, with soda machine not working. so disappointing!
Review 81:The one highlight was the front desk girl that checked us in.
Review 82:Our room didn't have a running air conditioner. So we were given another room with no A/C as well. We were finally given a room with A/C. All 3 rooms we entered smelled of smoke and were musty.
Review 83:Employees, especially those involved with meals, evening snacks, were excellent. Mgrs. at desk were constantly changing and uninformed about hotel polocies.
Review 84:First when we checked in the lady in the front desk does not smile.she gave me a room thatbis not ready yet. Then gave me a new room which aircon turns on and off every hour. When it contunued til evening i already complained in the front desk which this time is replaced by a kind man..
Review 85:Big rooms. Near malls and food places.
Review 86:TV seems small for the room. They need another waffle maker. Perhaps some kind of protein at breakfast.. like boiled eggs would have been nice. It isn't Days Inn.. Was confusing to find it. It is the inn at lompoc.
Review 87:Room was clean and staff were friendly. Noon check out time was nice and earlier check in time than many others had.
Review 88:the whole reason you picked that hotel was for the heated pool and it was still too cold for our little ones and the jacuzzi was filthy that would be my only complaint about our stay
Review 89:The lady that ran the breakfast and happy hour was great
Review 90:There was no room service to make the beds. The heater didn't work, and no one i asked about it offered to either change the room or fix the heater. Very annoying.
Review 91:The bathroom door jammed from the inside in the middle of the night, and there was no emergency phone in the bathroom.
Review 92:The room was clean and the bed good.
Review 93:Our units A/C didn't work. Although I was given another room that had a working A/C unit, the front desk showed me a list of rooms which supposedly did work(only half). Everyone else was out of luck. Although the motel did have a Jacuzzi, it was only luke warm. Breakfast was served after we left for the day. I had asked for a king bed and ended up with two twins.
Review 94:?
Review 95:The wifi was iffy. Not one other complaint.
Review 96:The price, the happy hour snacks, the breakfast, the staff from front desk to maids to the breakfast attendant, the indoor pool and hot tub, the fact that doors open into a hall rather than outside, the room is comfy and clean and large, the location has both a restaurant and fast food within the parking lot. There is very little to not like. I love that place and look forward to it every year. The snack attendant Barbara is a joy.
Review 97:The address is not visible from the street.
Review 98:We only stayed over night, and didn't know what to expect because of the low price(you know, you get what you pay for) but we were very pleased . The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.
Review 99:First room that was assigned to us has broken windows screen, bath room is dirty and the shower water faucet was broken. no cold water only hot water.
Review 100:Complimentary happy hour was okay but the dinning room is too hot. No AC
Review 101:This was the worst place I've stayed at in decades, perhaps ever. Toilet had ugly stains down the bowl. Shower had mold in all corners and edges, and a small hole in the wall. The baseboard under the fridge was off and lying on the floor. The tissue container had no cover and when I took a tissue, the box fell on the floor. All the furniture is old and worn. The phone was not hooked up. I tried the air conditioner, but it was so loud I just turned it off. I was there for a cycle event, so didn't ask until the second night, late. I was told the air conditioner in that room "didn't work." They offered to move me to another room, but at 10:00 I decided not to. The pillows were what seemed to be sacks of pieces of foam; I asked for another pillow, but he returned from the back saying they are all like that. While it was a no smoking room, there were cigarette butts just outside the front door. This used to be a Days Inn but is no longer, and it seems like the new owners are uninterested in upkeep or investment in the property. I would strongly suggest that one NOT consider this hotel, no matter what the price. If there is a place to do so, I will post some photos.
Review 102:I guess the bed was okay, but just ok.
Review 103:The gentleman and lady that worked in the hospitality room for breakfast and happy hour could have been a little more hospital and trust in me that I can parent my own children. They both were rude.
Review 104:Be aware to stay on the 1st floor, aircondition does not work and room smelling like smoke.
Review 105:Maintenance guy was helpful try to accomodate us with our needs. He loan us an electric fan.
Review 106:Super rude reception staff They do loud maintenace at 9 AM on Sunday The smell of clorine everywhere Unconfortable pillows The name of this motel is Lampoc Inn, not Days Inn so one can vaste time to find it Nothing interesting in town, super depressing even on Saturday evening The awful looking pool
Review 107:My air conditioner was broken and made a VERY loud noise. We tried to turn it off, but then we were roasting. We left it on for the remainder of the night. It kept waking me up throughout the night. I guess it did the same for some other guests, because when I informed the front desk the next day, they said they had some complaints about it.
Review 108:I liked that the breakfast was until 10am, Check out wasn't until noon, and the pool stayed open until 11pm.
Review 109:The noise from the heater in the next room. Didn't bother to much, but we told the front desk and they took care of it.
Review 110:It was a nice place not bad for the price we payed!!
Review 111:no water saving devices. during CA's drought there should be low flush toilets and low flow shower heads being installed.
Review 112:very spacious rooms, great location,
Review 113:Continental Breakfast a little slim. Toast & cereal. But what can you expect, it's free. They need more than one toaster or at least a 4 slot. A lot of people come in, and since toast is the main offer you have to wait to get to toaster. Rooms have a little patio but useless because no chairs & area needs to be cleaned up.
Review 114:We enjoyed our stay & it was a great value. First night was a little loud and rowdy, but our second night perfect. So I guess it was just a certain group of rude people. Staff was helpful and nice. Rooms are very clean & smell good.
Review 115:Please update your hotel name on your internet site
Review 116:We loved the pool and jacuzzi. The size of the room was grate. We liked the staff who were very helpful. Liked the coffee maker and frig which was not in the internet site.
Review 117:No locks on bathroom door, cold water in the morning, poor mattress in beds, breakfast selection, bathroom condition which was very deteriorated, bad carpets and insects(Spiders).
Review 118:The assistance we received when we arrived with our reservation which was inadvertently booked incorrectly and the staff assistance with my wife and son throughout our stay.
Review 119:No carafe in coffee maker, styrofoam cups had holes, alarm clock wasn't working. No staff in the front desk. Need more lights in hallway and outside the parking lot.
Review 120:None
Review 121:Breakfast hours could have been better. Not everyone is up by 9:30am especially on a trip of leisure.
Review 122:All was great... Was looking forward to seeing the breakfast selection. Would have made me feel like I got more out of my money.
Review 123:shower had mold in it. The towel for the shower floor mat had a dirty foot print on it along with lipstick which led me to question the rest of the sanitation and cleanliness. The walls are thin and can hear people talking in a regular tone but there is nothing you can do about that because it is an older location and for the right price is acceptable.
Review 124:Staff was friendly the room was clean. Bed was very good
Review 125:When I booked into this hotel, I thought I was booking into a Days Inn, not so, has NOT been a Days Inn for over a year, it's the "Lompoc Inn".
Review 126:Location, close to just about everything.
Review 127:The pillow were very old. The bathroom fun was extremely noisy. The towel were really old and not clean
Review 128:The location is perfect. The price is very good for what the hotel offers (Breakfast, WI-FI, Indoor pool, Free Parking, ...)
Review 129:First room didn't have airconditioning(not working). No sign that it was a Days Inn then charged my security creditcard for the accommodation after charging another card that was authorised.
Review 130:Close to food and central to town
Review 131:I don't appreciate that my reservation was not input correctly. My reservation should have been for two days. Apparently, the manager had input my reservation as one day, not two. I found this out after getting injured earlier in the day.
Review 132:I appreciate the helpfulness of the front desk staff.
Review 133:Beds were hard as a rock, shower head pressure was bad and pool was not heated. You definitely get what you pay for. Wouldnt stay here again.
Review 134:We like the Continental breakfast and the happy hour!
Review 135:Ac unit made so much noise that we had to turn it off, one of the mattresses was clearly ready for replacement. The door to the bathroom has multiple fixed holes in it. The faucet had a big crack in it (did still work though) and you could see some mold on the ceiling above the badtub.
Review 136:Centrally located in Lompoc
Review 137:The television was outdated and the desk was pretty old. Breakfast was a disappointment as nothing was hot unless you toasted it. Too many carbs and sugars.
Review 138:The cleanliness of the room. I could tell someone smoked in it, but it wasn't overwhelming. The show stall was perfect for me. Plenty of amenities. I only used the soap, but it was good. Wasn't expecting a refer unit and it was a surprise. Very quiet. Will stay again later this month.
Review 139:It's advertised here as Days Inn Lompoc, when in fact Days Inn is no longer involved as of 2 years ago. It's now just Inn at Lompoc. The indoor pool was a little cool too my liking. But the spa was a nice temperature.
Review 140:Great location by restaurants, and right on Highway 1. I had one mechanical issue with my room, but the maintenance man fixed it right a way. Indoor swimming pool was convenient with a nice large shower in the restroom nearby to wash off all of the chlorine. Also like the breakfast selection they had each morning. Afternoons, we had the wine time with snacks.
Review 141:Hotel has nice pool and hot tub. It's close to some good restaurants It's close to a lot of tourist spots It was quiet. We enjoyed the Happy Hour and breakfast.
