Reviews for Bamboo House Resort

Review 1:The facilities were a little tired, one of the rooms we had was the concrete look, which was pretty grim looking. The other with the birds on the wall looked ok. The concrete round the tap in the bathroom was broken so the tap was wobbly. Preferred the River Kwai Resort next door, with pool, for the same money

Review 2:Great location for the bridge & train station (to Hellfire Pass). Walking distance to restaurants / bars.

Review 3:Very disappointed despite the good reviews. It's in light of these I booked. Room, although spacious was dull with grey walls.Lighting at night made it very dingy.Only 1 stool in room so you had to sit on the bed. Bathroom in urgent need of renovation.Mini Bar consisted of 2 bottles of water. Restaurant in the evening had only 2 meals on the menu.

Review 4:Checking out.

Review 5:I wish we had more time to stay there longer. This place was great.

Review 6:The staff were really friendly Great location The food at their restaurant was the best Thai food I had on our 2 week trip.

Review 7:Booking.com deal is standard web price. Total lack of tourist information. Resort fact sheet in Thai only

Review 8:Clean room but in need of some TLC. It appears funds are being spent on extentions and not maintenance.

Review 9:Breakfast was not terrible but just ok. The restaurant wasn't open in the evening.

Review 10:The location was good for us, ten minutes walk from the bridge. We spent two nights in Kanchanaburi, exploring the bridge on the River Kwai, the death railway track, the Hellfire pass.We came to the hotel just for sleep and the place was perfect for it: quiet, clean enough, warm water in the shower. The front desk arraged a driver to take us to the Hellfire pass.

Review 11:There is nothing negative to report.

Review 12:This is a great place to stay in Kanchanaburi. Very convenient for exploring the bridge, trains and museums. The rooms are clean, pretty and of a fair size. The owner was friendly and helpful, The grounds of the accommodation are beautiful and very tranquil. We stayed in the main building, not on the river. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a quiet few days to enjoy Kanchanaburi.

Review 13:Get more local fruits! Papaya's in a garden but not on a menu. Make new, nice stairs and walking path around fishpond to the dining terrace and left old stairs just for kitchen and staff.

Review 14:Location, floating bungalows, clean, serene, relaxing. 10 min. walk to the kwai bridge. Great coffe and toast. Budget, but excellent!

Review 15:Rooms were basic but clean, bathroom a little dated. Would definitely stay again though, worth the money.

Review 16:Good location close to the bridge. Need a Tuk Tuk or taxi to museum and cemetery and bars as is a bit of a walk. Breakfast lovely and lots of choice. Restaurant area is beautiful.

Review 17:We left the room at 9 am and we saw a guy cleaning the stairway, when we got back the room was as we left it, no one cleaned it. We wanted to check out at 6am to take the train back to BKK, no one at reception, we had to wait 20 min for the woman from the restaurant to come and she didnt know how much we had to pay.

Review 18:Location and the garden is nice to chill. The rooms are clean enough

Review 19:The rooms, food, location and staff. We stayed here for 2 weeks because we loved the everything about the hotel. The deluxe floating river rooms are fantastic and the staff could not be more accommodating. Would definitely come back again!

Review 20:rooms had little ambience

Review 21:Nice location near the River Kwai and on walking distance from the famous Bridge and nice restaurants. Little bar for a last drink before bedtime available.

Review 22:Walls are a little thin

Review 23:It's is close to the bridge and night market. easy and well lite walk

Review 24:Breakfast realy very very pour!

Review 25:Location

Review 26:This property is in an ideal location. You have a view of the bridge from the river and you are only 5mins walk from restaurants and the station.

Review 27:breakfast was poor.

Review 28:Good location near River Kwai bridge

Review 29:Breakfast not interesting and bed with cracking sound while moving your body.

Review 30:Location.

Review 31:quiet riverfront location, just 5 minutes walk to bridge

Review 32:No wifi.

Review 33:Room, bed, location within easy walking distance of the bridge.

Review 34:The quiet natural environment next to the River Kwai. It is walking distance to the River Kwai Bridge.

Review 35:Really can't think of anything, except our stay wasn't long enough!

Review 36:We were given a room in between the floating rooms and the main reception building, and although the room maybe wasn't quite as nice as those in the photos, we got a view of the river which was lovely. The room was big and clean though with everything you need. It was a maybe just a little too far to walk into town but the samlor taxis are plentiful and you can hire motorbikes from the hotel, or bicycles at the top of the road. Breakfast is Thai-style, so not amazing, but it will keep you going until lunch especially as it's served until 11. And you can't fault the setting - beautiful and so peaceful. Staff was lovely.

Review 37:No negatives

Review 38:Location and staff were both good.

Review 39:- Simple, but nice rooms. The river can be seen from the balcony. - Very good localisation, just between the bridge and the tourist city centre.
