Reviews for Lompoc Valley Inn & Suites
Review 1:Not a bad experience but the breakfast buffet was so busy that we couldn't wait. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time
Review 2:Facility was very good and staff was helpful and friendly.
Review 3:All the dirty fake plants! Better not to have them if you can't keep them clean. The fake palm tree outside the lobby elevator and on the lobby wall in the sconces are very dirty
Review 4:The Staff was friendly, location was good and the lady in the hospitality room was great.
Review 5:We stayed in a suite with our kids this time and the room was nice. We have stayed here before and the breakfast lady is always very friendly and helpful.... the evening reception was a bit lacking but not bad.
Review 6:Way to other building confusing and lack of signs and notice for directions...door to open outside has no instruction for easy access ..like to pull up or pull down the handle
Review 7:Staff and service
Review 8:I have no complaints.
Review 9:Very clean ,quiet and all the necessary amenities needed. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. I hope to come back and bring my family with me.
Review 10:Bed was small, there is room for a king and should have had that option.
Review 11:Breakfast was good, coffee was great. Room was very clean. Value for the money was great.
Review 12:There was a huge spot of blood on the edge of the mattress. It seems that the cleaning staff just put clean sheets over it and didn't do anything to clean it or replace it. This is a biohazard and the mattress really should be thrown out.
Review 13:Facility, parking, and Breakfast.
Review 14:nothing
Review 15:Helpful staff. I was impressed when a staff member offered to help a poor man who suddenly had a great deal of turmoil in his life. Also surprised that 1/2 of your business was French tourism.
Review 16:They did not refund me my deposit yet and it is allready few days. I wrote you about it but I got no answer. Let me know as soon as possible because you do not answer any questions and there is no place where I can call or write!!!!!!!
Review 17:Tube television(not HD), broken thermostat and directionals on AC, bed was a C+ at best. The pool was purrrty cold. Maybe not heated in summer?
Review 18:The breakfast was great!
Review 19:There were lots of random people loitering in the hallway of the hotel. Not at reception, but upstairs on the same floor as the hotel rooms. Not all staffs were polite and friendly, but most of them were.
Review 20:Front desk staff seemed depressed and run down. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were old.
Review 21:The breakfast was delicious. The lady works at breakfast place was polite and a ray of sunshine. Pool was good too.
Review 22:The bed stated queen size, it was a full size. There was no central A/C we woke up sweating. The box A/C froze out my young children into a popsicle and our corner room had no air whatsoever. The pillows were munchkin size and we requested extra and they were thin like tissue paper. Terrible and uncomfortable stay.
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:Very cramped space for the cost. There was a lingering smell of "old, stagnant air" as we walked down the hall to our 3rd floor room. It was a special weekend to celebrate our anniversary and we had hoped for a king size bed. We were told that has we booked directly with the hotel rather than a third part they would have been able to up grade us. We were very disappointed. Also we had trouble just finding the place because the name had change but the sign Han not and no one told us the name to look for off of H street.
Review 25:The shower faucet too hard to turn on. In fact we had to get help from the front desk to get it working. The room, though efficient, was a bit crowded and small.
Review 26:Very comfortable bed, everything I like in a room--comfortable easy chair, free Wi-Fi, nice desk and chair, microwave and fridge, nice closet, and plenty of room on the sink counter. The breakfast was outstanding, as was the efficient and friendly kitchen staff!
Review 27:Ease in finding, and so glad we got a ground floor room, we both have health issues. Glad also that the rooms had a security door to enter the hall where the room doors were located. The breakfasts provided were above the usual ones you get with other hotels.
Review 28:We had planned to stay in Santa Barbara but everything was either booked up or too expensive so we just went for a hotel close by... It was a lovely hotel but in a remote area. Good if you need somewhere to stay between destinations
Review 29:Lovely clean hotel, plenty of parking, pool was really clean, guest laundry facilities available, best continental breakfast I've had - cereals, toast, bacon, sausages, eggs and more!
Review 30:We tried to check in early and were told our room wasn't clean. We tried two more times and were told it still was not clean. The 4th time we tried I had him heck for a different room and was told"oh, here's a room that's unassigned." He just didn't seem to want to help at all and seemed put out.
Review 31:The shower in the room didn't work. We were in a hurry and couldn't call down and wait for someone to come look at it. We let them know upon checkout and received a small credit which was nice. However, the five hour drive home was a little gross. Also, the queen bed was more like a full.
Review 32:The evening reception was nice and the breakfast was what you would expect. The staff in the hospitality room were friendly and helpful.
Review 33:Uncomfortable sofa bed, you can actually feel the springs. Just an old hotel room with not so pleasant odor.
Review 34:Staff was nice, especially the lady at the breakfast kitchen. She is a hardworking lady.
Review 35:It was very loud in the room. It sounded like a trash truck was backing up every couple of hours. Heard tons of noise from the hallway.
Review 36:Hospitality suite.
Review 37:They ran out of food before my group was served. They sold out their rooms for the night so provision should have been available.
Review 38:The staff was great. Very attentive
Review 39:Breakfast was very crowded. An entire tour group of about 30-40 people came to breakfast at the same time.
Review 40:Isolated location (from Santa Ynez Valley), but near other interesting sites.
Review 41:There were kids running up and down the halls after 10pm, the rooms and hallway had an old smell to them, pillows werent comfortable. and there was a dog convention/show, so there were dogs on in the building where the suites are. Wasnt very quiet between the kids and dogs and lots of other people
Review 42:I was upgraded to a suite due to unavailable rooms at the time I checked in. Breakfast was great and plentiful, loved having more space in my room, and the kichenette was awesome. I was near everything in town, the hotel staff are friendly
Review 43:The bed was not comfortable; it was too stiff
Review 44:The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great and had a lot of selections. It was more like a buffet style
Review 45:The phone did not work and the shower was difficult to turn on. The second floor smelled liked smoke from cigarettes
Review 46:The breakfast was fabulous and the pool was heated and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Review 47:Try to head here in the morning. We drove at night and it was too far from civilization heading here from LA
Review 48:The room was great. We had a queen bed and a sleeper queen sofa. We were able to fit comfortably. 2 adults and a 10 yr old on the sleeper and 2 adults and an eight yr old on the queen bed and a playard crib on the side for a 1 yr old baby
Review 49:The wall is not sound proof or thick enough to swallow the sound from the TV. The Front Desk called to inform us that the guests next door complained of noise coming from our room. We turned off the TV as a respect.
Review 50:I would likely recommend this hotel to any traveler because the non-smoke area smells clean, beds smell fresh & comfortable, too.
Review 51:The staff was friendly, and accomadate me very well! Room is clean (which is a BIG plus for me) and nice, its fairly priced. Breakfast was good and the "happy hour" featured snacks and drinks for $3, which is another great feature! Im definately staying here again!
Review 52:Dirty sheets on bed - found a blood stain on bed sheet the morning after, and it wasn't mine or my gf - we made sure
Review 53:Good breakfast Comfortable beds
Review 54:The rates go up so very high on holidays. 150 for a regular 99 room is pretty steep. The rooms are very small to justify the 150 cost.
Review 55:The cleaning staff isnt knocking down your door at the crack of dawn to get into the room if you forget the please do not disturb sign.
Review 56:The bed wasn't very comfy. Too hard.
Review 57:The room. We booked a Queen suite but didn't expect it to be two rooms and a small kitchen. And the breakfast was awesome.
Review 58:when I got there they were very nice. but then i had to wait at least 20 mins while they checked to make sure my room had been cleaned. The 3 other people behind me were shuffled in and thru like a assembly line so smooth you'd a thought i hadn't already pre booked mine also. After I was settled in I called the front desk to ask the code for the WiFi and the clerk answered after second ring. The WiFi was very slow perhaps too many guests were on it? eventually I became frustrated enough that I just turned it off and when to bed. The next morning when I called the front desk the phone rang 3-4 times was then picked up an placed on hold. No one came back to me so I hung up. I tried again 10 mins later and no one even bothered answering my call then either.
Review 59:the bed was comfortable, room looked nice smelled nice smelled clean. breakfast was very good several things to choose from. the staff were pleasant & helpful about giving directions to the flower festival.
Review 60:Shower wouldn't turn on, not even a trickle. Unbelievable. Toilet ran constantly and we had to turn it off so it didn't waste water all night. Had to turn it back on wach time we needed to use it. Bed was uncomfortable. AC was so loud we turned that off. I would like a refund.
Review 61:clean and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Pleasant swimming pool and hot tub. Evening drinks and snacks and by the way the lady who hosts breakfast and the evening reception is amazing.
Review 62:The Breakfast and the evening hospitality was awesome. The lady who works the breakfast bar is great, became friends with my whole family. The staff helped remedy a problem with the booking. Very honorable establishment.
Review 63:We had a queen suite, the beding was very old and dingy. The pull out bed was a joke. The mattress had to be older than me and I'am a senior citizen. It truly was a place to sleep, not to enjoy ones evening.
Review 64:Not too much, other than the lady at breakfast was the most dedecated person I've met in a long time. Very hard worker. Oh the bathroom was remodeled with new tub.
Review 65:internet was out and no refund, I was locked out of my room at 10 am on the last day of my stay, had to reprogram my key to get in.
Review 66:bed was comfortable
Review 67:Close to many food places and beach is not too far. Room was great and very comfortable. Full kitchen was great and two flat screen one in each part of the room didn't hurt. Very cozy and homely setting.
Review 68:I booked the Queen suite, and the bed was a full size bed, and with two people who are both almost 6 ft, this didn't work out very well.
Review 69:For a last minute booking, this worked. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good.
Review 70:Facilities smelt liked old apartment! Wifi was not able to connect to ebay! Old toilet facilities ! Breakfast Items were limited! Location is next to an airport!
Review 71:Microwave in the room. Location is closed by shopping areas.
Review 72:We were booked into a smoking room. I have severe allergies to smokeetc, this ruined our evening as I experienced an allergy attack. Weshould have been asked or told that we were being given a smoking room.We had to be moved to a nonsmoking floor, we should never have beengiven a smoking room without requesting one!!
Review 73:Bed wasn't very comfortable. There were smokers in our party and it would have been nice to be able to crack a window but they were totally sealed
Review 74:The staff couldn't have been more helpful and were very nice to deal with. Breakfast was very good.,
Review 75:the only thing I did not like was that the room smelled very bad
Review 76:I liked the staff were very friendly, breakfast very delisioso, the bed was very comfortable, Quiet nice place to rest.
Review 77:Got to room, fridge did not work, phone did not work, ice machine out of order, elevator nearest our room to kitchen out of order. Was told to wait for someone to check out fridge. Sat on bed for 30-40 mins--no one came to room. Returned to desk and requested room change. Felt very ignored! Had to say--"I can't wait any longer to get settled in" .--still waited while others were checked in.
Review 78:Lady in kitchen worked very efficiently to handle group at breakfast. She engaged and was very welcoming. Good selection. Great location for Wine country and quiet. Beds very comfortable, very economical--good value.
Review 79:My suite was in a non smoking area but it smelled a lot like cigarette smoke.
Review 80:I've been here a few times and I'm always happy to stay here and looking forward to coming back
Review 81:Room door hard to open, inside of bathroom door missing paint, damaged window trim, newer model TV would be nice !
Review 82:Nice front dest employee she handled a tough situation with an unhappy guest very well !
Review 83:I did not like every extra tax that was added to the actual room, I think there were at least 3 different ones!
Review 84:breakfast was great! plenty of choices!
Review 85:The walls are thin, very thin. I really hate it when I can hear EVERYTHING the amorous couple next door is doing.
Review 86:Comfort Inn & Suites had the best price for its class (there are no luxury or boutique hotels in this city).
Review 87:The room where the breakfast is served needs more ventilation. It is very stuffy and gets unpleasant when the room gets crowded.
Review 88:The price for very reasonable. We only stayed one night. Also includes breakfast, which is a plus.
Review 89:The A/C was definitley a must have due to the heat wave we have been having. However, the air conditioner made so many weird noises it kept me up throughout the the whole entire night! It first woke me up because it sounded like an unwanted intruder was in room under my bed...you know... like your random possum or skunk..or a snake Lol. Heck the noise was quite annoying so after turning the darn lite on and off so many times I just waited up for the critter to come out and face me. Then I found out it was only the A/C.
Review 90:I loved the Comfort Inn Suites and I would stay at this locale again. It was excellent all the around...well except for ONE (1) major complaint
Review 91:They need better pillows, they weren't fluffy, I think they are too old.
Review 92:Staff was very friendly and the kitchen host was very clean and efficient. She made us feel welcomed. Our room was small but the bed was very clean and comfortable.
Review 93:horrible bed, they sell quen room but the bed is very small, the pillows are not confortables at all
Review 94:they have good breakfast and the person helping the customer very helpful and nice, very fast too
Review 95:The distribution of this area, because coordination to serve and move is hard.
Review 96:It was the best part of this deal! The lady who is working there was so nice and gentle. Very fast efficent and high representation of this hotel. Food was plenty ans satisfactory.
Review 97:The long hall way.
Review 98:The staff was very nice and helpful.. There was place to eat near by. I like being by place to shop. Also the view was not bad.Overall it was good.
Review 99:Kitchen worker, the best lady to have serve us in any hotel we have ever stayed in. All by herself, attended all the customers, cleaned tables, made waffles or pancakes, and made sure everyone, (60 to 70) people was comfortable. I tip my hat off. She is and will always be the best in my opinion.
Review 100:i am impressed with the energy & friendliness of the staff working in the hospitality room . . . you are a model to true service. hope to see you again in our next visit.
Review 101:Telephone didn't work. Was told the whole floor was out, ever since Wi-Fi had been installed. Elevator near my end of a very long hallway was out of order. Three (?) thin bath towels for two people. Had to use hand towel and washcloth to get dry, since my friend needed an extra bath towel to dry hair. One thin sliver of bath soap for two people. No sink for hand washing in bathroom, and only one sink in room. Windows in room filthy, and bird droppings covered the top of the AC unit outside at eye level. Filter light for AC/heat unit signified a new filter was needed. Not a problem, until heat was turned on briefly. A stench filled the room. Carpets in public areas needed vacuuming. Only one attendant in breakfast room, who couldn't keep up with tasks, even though she literally ran. Tables left soiled for long periods. Needed room key to get into breakfast room. Free emergency toiletry items offered, but they were out of something as basic as a comb.
Review 102:Very attractive facility with many amenities and friendly staff. Full breakfast. Computer room off lobby was large and had multiple computers. My room was nicely appointed and clean. AC unit unusually quiet.
Review 103:The cigarette odor that you have on every hallway
Review 104:I like the location and the breakfast and the lady who is working on it she is very nice and have a good customer service
Review 105:When I booked, I was under the impression I had a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofabed. I had this type of room on a visit in Lombard Il, in June. However, my room had a VERY small queen bed and a VERY uncomfortable sofabed that my grandchildren had to sleep on. It was not worth what I paid. Very disappointed.
Review 106:The hospitality room was great. The staff was great. The pool and hot tub were great.
Review 107:Tiny tiny (short) little toliet in room, like for kids. Not good for anyone with even a slight knee problem. One would think for the price of the rooms, the hotel could upgrade to even medium heighth toliets.
Review 108:Pool & hot tub Breakfast
Review 109:The member of staff that was on at breakfast was absolutely shocking. She was very disrespectful to some guests that had arrived after 9.30am. It was a terrible atmosphere to try and eat breakfast in.
Review 110:Generally the staff were very nice and professional
Review 111:Interior decor felt dirty and old. AC was very noisy. Room acoustic separation was terrible and neighbor was loud. When checked into room the window screen was half ripped off, so was able open window being on ground floor, so went back to clerk only to be told that there were no other rooms. Parking lot was only half full!????? I could keep going.......
Review 112:There were some good breakfast choices but just average quality food. Cost of hotel for that weekend seemed a bit high.
Review 113:Comfortable beds, rooms a good size, wi-fi access. Heated pool & hot tub a huge PLUS. I was in Lompoc for a sporting event and swimming afterwards was very pleasant. Desk clerk pleasant.
Review 114:The loud hum of the refrigerator. It wasn't fixed, so we had to move to another room. The second room was missing a blow drier and it wasn't replaced when we reported it.
Review 115:We liked the room. The view from the 4th floor. Friendly people at the desk.
Review 116:Bed very uncomfortable. Could feel the springs in the mattress. Sleepless night because of it. Cancelled 2nd night because of the bed. No decent restaurants in the area.
Review 117:Each and every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. When I called to confirm a late arrival and they couldn't find my initial reservation they reassured me that a room would be waiting for me. I have traveled extensively and have stayed at five stars to omg my car would have been better and the Comfort Inn in Lompoc has the absolute softest towels ever. Keep up the great work!!!
Review 118:Currently upgrading facilities. Should be excellent in a couple of months. Only 1 elevator working but not a huge inconvenience.
Review 119:Staff was excellent
Review 120:Well appointed room. Ample parking. Good breakfast.
Review 121:Small and understaffed breakfast room. Food was better than anticipated but so crowded.
Review 122:The staff was very attentive.
Review 123:That there were panties still in the dresser
Review 124:The pool was dirty
Review 125:The staff was awesome
Review 126:A little noisy because one of the Windows was broken.
Review 127:The breakfast was very good.
Review 128:very good breakfast & staff
Review 129:good location. Comfortable bed. nice, clean room
