Reviews for The Juliet Hotel
Review 1:The hotel has more rooms than was expected, which is not a bad thing. The room itself was surfaced clean. There was accumulated dust and condom wrappers between the bed and wall and there was a slight odor which I could not detect. I would say if you are looking for a place to take your mistress or a weekend hookup this would be the place. I take it that management does not inspect the rooms very often for cleanliness. The parking is unsecured and knowing what I know about downtown Lafayette, don't bring a nice car with you. There are hotels down Pinhook and close to the river that have better equal value and are no more than a 2-5 min. drive depending on traffic from downtown.
Review 2:If you are looking for a place to stay for a downtown festival this is the place. I stayed in room #205
Review 3:No taxis available if you arrive at the Greyhound station late in evening, but it is only a 15 min walk to the hotel. Booking.com website said coffee makers and towelling robes in room - neither of these are now provided (change of management) though there is free flask coffee available in lounge. There isn't a great deal to do in downtown area - and what there is is closed on Mondays.
Review 4:Good location if you are staying downtown. Staff friendly and helpful, and gave excellent suggestions re where to eat (try the Pamplona Tapas Bar.) Pool was clean and was nice to have although small and not very attractive.
Review 5:We came there on a Sunday 6.30PM. Everything were closed. The streets were empty like a ghost-town. The hotel had only rooms...no restaurant and no breakfast lounge... We will never go back to this hotel and probably not Lafayette as well....
Review 6:The rooms are big...
Review 7:The only negative thing I can say is that the coffee which is offered on the second floor, was not hot. I think it is a problem that could be corrected fairly easily.
Review 8:Very nice, clean, and large room. Walking distance to great shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
Review 9:The rooms were just okay in comparison to the advertisement and atmidnight my smoke detector battery started dying making a loud beepingnoise... The staff at the desk told us to just take the battery out ...never offering to help... Had to pull the desk under it to reach ..oncethe battery was out and back in bed about 5 min the same beeping noisestarted again..... After calling back down she brought 2 batteries...again never offering to do it ...I had to do it myself.... Thatfinally worked.... The air conditioner in the room worked really wellbut was extremely loud and made noises that sounded like an airplanetaking off!!! This was a horrible experience... After complaining to themanager the only compensation they gave me was $14.45 refund .... thatto me was an insult added to injury.
Review 10:The only good thing about this place is the oversized bath tub

Review 25:Please get rid of the Fitness tenant inside the hotel. Incompatible with hotel use. Pounding sounds of people dropping barbells, etc. Bed sheets were frayed.

Review 27:The hotel. The hotel room and above all the neighborhood. You can findout nice bars, awesome restaurants, stores, art galleries at a fewminutes by walk.
Review 28:There is a gym beneath the hotel which starts it's activities very early in the morning[5.45]. All rooms are on the 1st floor directly above the gym and the noise created by it's activities is very disturbing..
