Reviews for Borealis Inn
Review 1:Avoid this place like the plague. No phone in room that has a dial tone. Filthy beds, no service at all. They run a florist and acupuncture business in the same building. Wifi doesn't work at all.
Review 2:Nothing
Review 3:Wi-Fi did not work in our room, which the management knew about but continues to advertise free Wi-Fi
Review 4:Friendly staff; comfortable beds; very large room; accessible
Review 5:Room was very small. Small bed. (I am 6' 4") It was more like a bed and breakfast, but without the breakfast. I will stay at a chain motel next time.
Review 6:The people are very nice, excellent personalized service (picked us up at train station)
Review 7:The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was very clean and comfortable enough. It almost has a hostel feel to it, though, so don't expect a Best Western-type feeling (not to suggest BW is great or anything).
Review 8:Not one thing to complain about honestly.
Review 9:Everything was clean. There was COFFEE! Everything was quiet and relaxed, the nice lady made me felt at home and she even showed me to my room. There was a coffee pot, free coffee, fridge, dining room table, AC,flatscreen TV. I believe I had the best room and I felt like I was in the best hotel in Fairbanks. Even if I was rich I would always choose to stay at this hotel when I visit Alaska again.
Review 10:Good shampoo/conditioner clean room
Review 11:Staff were great, room was compact and clean.Nice little "kitchen" shared area.
Review 12:Bed was uncomfortable and hard. ..
Review 13:Close to everything. ..quiet peaceful place.
Review 14:No coffee in room. It was a bedroom not a hotel
Review 15:Would like to see an inside lock on the door but cheap door wedges did the trick.
Review 16:The people running this are very friendly and helpful.
Review 17:Distance from supermarkets
Review 18:Very obliging people
Review 19:the owners are very kind people.
Review 20:very friendly staff
Review 21:No breakfast! Too close to major avenue
Review 22:Closeness to major attractions Nice nearby neighborhood Cozy, almost homey
Review 23:the price
Review 24:Walking distance to many fast food restaurants but not to any good quality food or grocerty.
Review 25:Very inexpensive and close to the curling club. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 26:The bed in our queen room needs replacing. The larger room would have been sufficient for our group for one night; however, when I booked for five, I was quoted two rooms. When I asked to have the queen room removed, the owners politely(and correctly) informed me that since I booked online, that would not be impossible. Lesson learned! Sorry to say the accommodations are extremely sparse.
Review 27:Uncertainly about the checkout time. The Booking.com email said 11am,but the notice in the room said 11:30. Also, a bit of confusionregarding the entry to the Hotel, there are 3 businesses there, anAcupuncturist, Florist and Hotel, and the entrances are not clearlysigned. Entry to the Reception is at the back and downstairs (don'ttake your cases down as the rooms are from a different door and upstairs- they need better signage). When we looked at this place using GoogleEarth Streetview it looks like there is a construction site, but this isjust their permanent fencing, so it gives a wrong impression.
Review 28:Staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Basic butgreat for the budget- conscious. Convenient, very close to bus routes,to town, tourist highlights and the airport. Despite being close to themajor road, double glazing kept out most of the noise. Within walkingdistance of the Pioneer Park (and Alaska Salmon Bake) - a great touristdestination.
Review 29:Strange people was in surroandings of the hotel.
