Review 1：It would have been nice to have a coffee pot just to warm some water for noodles or hot chocolate.
Review 2：Big room with couch, king bed, refrigerator, and microwave all at the best price. It was clean and very nice. I haven't had a better room anywhere. Parking was adequate, but I can see where more guests would create a problem. However, there is other parking just outside the parking area. Restaurants are nearby.
Review 3：Advertises about room with kitchen but does not have utensils,plates, spoons... Breakfast is horrible,everything will break your day rather than making a day!!! Coffey is like mud water absolutely tasteless.... Batter for the waffles was stale and gone bad.... Small Roaches in the room. The batteries of the door lock had gone bad and wouldn't work despite the new swapping cards given by the front desk. The property manager said we were rude for having complained about the above mentioned flaws!!! So we cut short our stay and requested for the refund....

Booked room for two people, and while leaving for dinner with a female friend I was interrogated about number of people in my room in the parking lot (it was her and I) because my ride from airport had walked my bags in and used my rest room leaving in 30 minutes.

Review 11：From the time we parked we were harassed by the older gentleman thatworked the evening of 10/23/15. We soon found out that therewere numerous rules of the hotel that were not previously shared onbooking.com or the Palace Inn website. We were then forced to pay anadditional $25 per room for our two young boys. So my previous totalcharges went from $391 to $448. Then the lady at the check in windowtold us that they did not allow two people to sleep in a double bed. Sowe then paid for an additional room (we already had 2 double bed roomsfor two nights), a King suite for an additional $242. I am extremelydisappointed and disgusted, Palace Inn should be removed frombooking.com. Then this morning when we checked out, a younger male atthe window said we should not have been charged the extra $50 or made torent an additional room. But no refund was offered. I am mostdisappointed because we were visiting the Houston area for my graduation10/24 at 10am at the Berry Center. So at 9:30pm 10/23 after arain filled drive in from San Antonio, I had no choice but to pay thefees. It made our trip a bit difficult with the obvious overpayment of$292 dollars.

Review 14：This was a great place to stay for a week while visiting friends in Katy. It's slightly off the beaten path but close enough to stores, restaurants and Texas Childrens' Hospital that it doesn't feel out of the way.
Review 15：Reserved a 2 queen room and got a king with a foldout bed, but they went over and beyond to make it comfortable. Day housekeeping did not replace our bath towels when they cleaned the room. When I informed the other housekeeper late that evening, she gladly and promptly took care of it. No coffee pot in room

Review 19：We had an upstairs room (my fault) and could not move downstairs. No elevator so my friend and I both older and physically challenged had to move everything upstairs. No hot water, no coffee, no lamps, water would not turn off, new key daily, no grab bars, commode is very low. There was a handicapped sign on the outside of our room, no one knew what it meant when we asked. Our room certainly was not handicap user friendly.
Review 20：Staff was helpful and friendly. After getting our luggage stacked by the stairs, some men took it upstairs for us. Got a new tub facet which fixed the water problems.

Review 41：We came in town for a friend's wedding. We checked in the afternoonbefore the wedding for a two night stay.1. The morning of the wedding, we were woken up at 6:30 AM by the sound of hammering and sawing. Walked out of the room to find the rooms on either side of us being renovated. The furniture from the rooms was strewn around the hallway and we had to squeeze past it to get to the stairs. 2. The breakfast was disappointing. Only edible food was cereal. There were two, two-seater tables. Both had one staff member sitting at them (we saw them in the office at check-in, that's how we knew they were staff). They were drinking coffee, talking to each other. They did not get up or consolidate to one table, so we had to eat our breakfast standing up. 3. As one of the few designated drivers, me and one other driver drove people back to the hotel to wait for rides elsewhere. There was a total of 7 people. No one was loud or behaving badly. The second we stepped out of the car, we were accosted by a staff member (manager maybe?) who yelled "NO PARTIES!" at us. We explained where we were coming from and that our friends were just waiting on their rides to get back home. We were told that not only could they not wait in our room, but they had to leave the property. They claimed a "no visitor" policy that was not stated anywhere. Since we weren't informed of the policy, we asked to be refunded for the last night of our stay, and said we would find another place to take our friends and stay. They refused. I didn't expect much for $80 a night, but I definitely didn't expect to be scolded like a child and treated like I was invisible.

Review 45：This facility is located near many restaraunts and shopping. For the rate paid, the room was large and clean, with a fridge and microwave. Also having a flat screen tv at this rate was nice.

Review 49：Upon check-in, my sons noticed that the price in the system did not match the price I had told them. I was informed by them on an email that same day by my oldest son. When the card was charged some days later, it matched what he had told me ($130 above agreed price with booking.com). I contacted the hotel and the manager told me that the extra charge was due to "several girls being in the room". Luckily my son had told me about the overcharge, so I understood that this was not the real reason. I have later learned from other reviews that this is kind of a pattern at this hotel.

Review 119：We were 2 females traveling to Houston for a family funeral. We were not aware at time of booking that this site is primarily for construction workers on a long-term job. Felt awkward being the only females at this Inn. While we had booked our room for 2 nites, we had to leave the morning after check-in due to another family incident. We had to return home after the services in Houston. We tried to check-out at 7:30am Tues. Desk clerk told us we would not be able to get a refund for 2nd nite due to internet booking. The staff was hard to understand sometimes because of language differences. Also, all staff members gave different answers when questioned about our check-out requests. We still had to pay for 2 nites even though we only stayed one.

I asked for a wake up call I never got. The staff was rude & inconsiderate. The cons far outweigh the pros in my opinion. I will never come back & I recommend you stay LITERALLY anywhere else.
