Reviews for Minnie Street Inn

Review 1:Beds are a bit uncomfortable.

Review 2:The staff is great, it's a cute and very clean place. There is wifi and cable in the rooms. In Fairbanks the location doesn't matter because you will have to rent a car regardless .

Review 3:Young lady in-charge was not very friendly. If breakfast was available no one told us even though several people were eating at the table in the office area. Not very helpful and when we needed to ask a question we felt like we were intruding. We needed to print our boarding pass and the receptionist acted like this was a problem for them even thoigh they had a cupboard that said "guest computer." Clean but we did not feel very wlcome. $8.00 for a load of laundry so we skipped this. Seemed more interested in giving all the rules rather than making someone feel welcome to their home and city.

Review 4:Location and clean. RoDs in town closed which made it hard to get to.

Review 5:We didn't love having to do our own dishes, and would have liked being able to use the dishwasher, but we washed our dishes as requested. We understand that if they didn't ask people to do it, people would just leave mounds of yucky food-covered dishes everywhere.

Review 6:The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. Room was spacious,well-appointed, and kitchen was great for us to make our meals in. Accessibility by cell phone to the staff at all times was a plus though we tried not to need it. Location was perfect as we don't drive and we're able to not only walk to the bus station and downtown attractions, but also walk to hiking at Creamers Field.

Review 7:The accomodation was very comfortable and the manager was exceptional. She was welcoming, informative and went out of her way to get a wallet we had left behind to us.

Review 8:This B&B is just lovely. It's beautifully maintained, quiet, and inviting in every sense of the word. I had a room with a shared bathroom, and that was no trouble at all. I truly appreciated the caring attention from my hostess.

Review 9:No breakfast included.

Review 10:The manager Brynn! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Brynn was professional, informed and pleasant. She is an asset to this accommodation. Brynn advised on and booked some day trips.

Review 11:Wifi was slow and mattresses in our room were too soft.

Review 12:Great location to town centre yet quiet and peaceful area. Welcoming and helpful staff with relaxed but friendly manner that added to the Inn's ambience.

Review 13:Maybe the room was clean but old, very old tv and furniture and broken closet door

Review 14:Location, staff, parking, cozy room... People there are just awesome, very clean place and cool backyard!

Review 15:Asked for us not to wear shoes in suite Extra fuel charge to cover electric Extra $8 charge for using washer/dryer in suite No tv in bedroom Shower leaked

Review 16:Liked the suite Clean Fireplace

Review 17:The young manager Brynn was wonderful! She was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We had full use of the kitchen with coffee, tea always available.

Review 18:The lack of breakfast in a Bed & Breakfast establishment. However there was a great diner just 5 mins walk.

Review 19:Frienliness of staff especially the hotel manager. Room was excellent. Kitchen facilities and free coffee.

Review 20:The staff went out of their way to accommodate my arrival late in the evening, and make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. One of the best things was having the flexibility to prepare my own meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. Very comfortable accommodation, and a relaxing place to spend my evenings.

Review 21:Utilities are expensive in Alaska, so if one does laundry they ask for a nominal fee, which we gladly did a couple of times while there for our 12 days/night’s stay.

Review 22:The hosts are generous in nature, and pleasant to deal with. The accommodations are well maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable, with pillows to match! We even inquired as to what mattress they used, so we could get one for home. It was quiet; we had a refrigerator in our room and microwave. We were welcome to use the kitchen in the main house, as long as we did our own dishes.

Review 23:All the stupid postings of what you can and cannot do..!! Really?? I should've gone to a hotel for $20 more! Plus I was harassed by Toni about where the heck to park for 4 nights straight!! Really?? Gimme a break!!! Terrible! Don't stay there- better off at a real hotel for a few $$ more!!

Review 24:Convenience to Big I Bar

Review 25:Great place to stay, pity just spent a night there! Everything perfect (cleanness, wi-fi, bed, bathroom) and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended

Review 26:Right next to gas station, so view was ugly and the noise from the busy street. The owners said that this will be their last year.

Review 27:Very home like, sense of privacy, meeting people, owner recommendations, owners very friendly, made trip easier on my father who was travelling with us, in downtown

Review 28:Wonderful and very caring hosts, excellent breakfast, great location, very clean and comfortable, excellent recommendations by the hosts for activities - we had a great time.

Review 29:Room was on second floor, did not realize this was a two story place. Rather long walk to bus stop.
