Review 1：We booked online and had difficulty with our reservation upon check in. But the staff was friendly and helped us get our room!

Review 2：The pool area is amazing!!

Review 3：We loved the pool and spa area, with all the heat lamps and tiki torches. The continental brkfst was great, with all fruit fresh, etc. The staff gave us a lower level room when I told her I don't do well with stairs. Every thing looked fairly updated or new.

Review 4：Upstairs guests were super noisey, stomping around & talking very loud til after midnight....not the staff's fault though.

Review 7：The outdoor lounge/swimming & spa area they called the Oasis made up for the smaller room. Breakfast items available were also a plus. The location was acceptable to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping v the sound of traffic at night. (turn the fan on so it drowns that out)

Review 8：Special feature is the complimentary service to restaurants for dinner. The hot tub and pool is a really nice outdoor area. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 9：Somehow my booking confirmation was lost in transit between Booking.com and Best Western (they probably use faxing). Luckily, a room that matched my original booking was still available and I was offered a similar price to my original rate. Part of it was luck; I might have had a different experience if it was a busy/holiday weekend. But the staff handled the situation very well & promptly with no work or frustration on my part. I will probably have to make follow up calls on all future bookings, but as for this time, my vacation went on with no incident.

Review 10：Nice accommodations such as a very nice pool/sauna/lounge area and a complimentary limo for dinner. Room was very clean, and parking was available throughout the night.

Review 11：Disappointed there was no water view - I assumed since it said @Humbolt Bay that it would be on water. Actually located in bad area. Across the street there are many homeless sleeping on street. In fact you practically have to walk by them to go to outdoor "oasis" pool & spa. Bed was very uncomfortable. No shelves in shower for any products. Way overpriced for location. Cars on small hotel lot right by the homeless.

Review 22：The room smelled when we go there, we had to air it out. The bathroom had no fan so we had to open the window during a shower. It was on the ground floor with a busy street and foot traffic right outside. The breakfast was pretty much just cereal with a waffle maker. Not meats or potatoes. It was billed as a Best Western Plus. Plus what? The price was too high for such a horrible place to stay. We will not be back.

Review 23：The neighborhood! The old part of town is making a sincere effort to revitalize, but the streets near this hotel were full of unsavory people. Take advantage of the free limo if you want to go out for dinner!

I even spent less for our room than another family member paid for "the worst hotel room I've ever had." The gouging this weekend is ridiculous. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Review 45：My key card kept deactivating. It was really annoying! It happened three or four times and I kept having to go down to the front desk to get it reactivated. every time I went down there to get it reactivated they asked for my ID. At least two times I had my child sleeping in my arms which made it very difficult for me to get my ID out of my bag. So I found that very annoying.

Review 50：The maid knocked on my door early in the morning to make up my room. As I was getting ready to leave for the day I requested that she come back half an hour later, however, she did not come back at all. Had to call for clean towels, and to take the garbage out.

Review 54：When i first arrived they couldn't take my card I didn't understand because I had more then the amount of the rooms. When I called my bank to ask why they told me best western was trying to charge 1,200 to my card. Then I went in again and asked me how much they were charging me they couldn't give me a straight up answer it wasn't untill I started rasing my voice I got an answer. And then it finally took my card. Then we get to the room and realize they didn't give us keys. The rooms we got came with two free DVD rentals, but that doesn't matter because all the DVDs are extremely scratched.

Review 55：The rooms are nice, they are clean. They definitely put the plus in best western. Overall I have a good stay. Their pool area is awesome. Most of the staff went above and beyond.

Review 56：Didnt care for the breakfast. Some people might enjoy it, but I didnt. They used to give you certificates for Kristina's Restaurant next door...which was much better. The breakfast certificates are for the hotel and are a lot of carbs, apples, oranges, bananas, pancakes, bagels, etc. I didnt see eggs anywhere...went to Kristina's had a great breakfast. But I did enjoy my stay and will definitely stay again!

Review 57：Location is close to downtown and Old Town. Love the free limo service, The lady limo driver is very nice and knowledgable about the Humboldt County happenings in Eureka area. The limo service is free and runs till 10:30pm Eureka proper. Actually had a bright pink ghost orb show up in two pics taken in the limo and two in front of the office. The lady limo driver said others have mentioned the pink orbs. Very cool place...

Review 58：Really easy to hear the occupants of adjacent rooms. The road noise is present but wasn't an issue. Opportunity to smell Marijuana in my room from the neighbors both nights. Was told by front desk it's "that time of year." With that attitude they shouldn't claim to be smoke free.

Review 60：Traveller beware!We thought that this was a new facility as it had not been rated and looked new from pics. Came to find out that facility had been remodelled and we were booked in the old part that did not have an elevator.We were told that there weren't any rooms available on the ground floor so we upgraded to new section as my husband was waiting for back service. Breakfast area was small and crowded, not much variety. I had expected a room with a view of the Bay, just parking lot in not such a nice area of town.

Review 63：Found a limo parked outside the front desk. It was used to transport guests to and from local restaurants, at no charge. This is an extra that left a great memory. The area around the pool was welcoming all day and the area of town was representing the history of the town.

Review 64：The website and reviews made this place look a lot nicer. The headboard and skirt were a synthetic alligator! The walls were very thin and the highway is very close and loud too. It is close to the downtown area, which has little going on. The distance is short but there are lots of homeless in the industrial area you have to walk through. That is where the limo shuttle is perfect.

Review 65：Price, convenience and limo This is a motel 8 with alligator bed skirts. I can see that they really attempted to add the Plus to this place. But overall it is a fail. It occurs to me that perhaps for a best western it is great. I hadn't stayed in one in a very long time. The staff was nice. Keep your expectations low and this place may surprise you!

Also, the continental breakfast was surprisingly good!

I thought the location might be a problem as Our room was adjacent to U.S. 101, separated only by a sidewalk and therefore I thought it might be noisy, but it wasn't. Review 79：Highway 101 is at the both sides of the motel, and there isn't much of sound insulation. Besides the noise of traffic, normal discussion and TV from neighboring rooms can be heard. All the positive sides of the motel are overridden by the noise problems and resulting sleepless nights.
