Reviews for M Star Hotel Jackson

Review 1:I think the location is fine, but it could really use a makeover.

Review 2:I can't really complain. The place is quite dated, but very inexpensive. It's fine for a quick overnight stay while passing through.

Review 3:Not really a bad experience, just room was older than what I expected. Carpet looked a little dirty in places. Bathroom room fixtures outdated. Toilet keep running had to jiggle handle to get it to stop. No bad major problems though

Review 4:Like the fact that it was close to a restaurant and some shops within walking distance.

Review 5:I had to get onto another properties internet( or someone else's) power plugs behind the bed and had to use a power strip

Review 6:Location close to food gas and shopping and cost of room

Review 7:The room wasn't clean. The bathtub had a STRONG drip, part of the bathtub handle was off, there were rings on the microwave left from leaving glasses on it. The bedspreads looked antiquated and not clean. WE CHOSE NOT TO STAY AND ASKED FOR OUR MONEY BACK BUT WERE REFUSED!

Review 8:Nothing

Review 9:Ceiling hanging in the shower, No security lock on my daughter's room, commodes too low,and had to ask for linens.Shower water hard to regulate, It's either too hot or too cold.

Review 10:Comfortable beds, and low prices.

Review 11:Just about everything. The worst thing was that I needed to wait for the person I was staying with to finish their business and come back to pick me up. They wouldn't give me a late check-out. OK, I understand. However, I was not even allowed to sit on a couch in the lobby to wait, because it wasn't a "lobby". I don't know what they call it, but it's an open area with couches. Sounds like a lobby to me. I'm not young anymore and I had to wait outside nearby on a hard bench in the heat. I would never stay in this place again and very well may never stop at the Casey Jones Restaurant and tourist area again.

Review 12:got bitten by bugs

Review 13:the location

Review 14:Overall great stay. No breakfast and no WiFi. Would stay again.

Review 15:Rooms are clean. Bed is comfortable. And the price is awesome.

Review 16:abosultely love the staff

Review 17:Not much too the place, bed was ok, toilet in my room ran a little during the night, lady at the front desk wearung glasses was very impersonable.

Review 18:Deoderant smell was overpowering it went away pretty quick.

Review 19:Very quiet.

Review 20:It was right off the freeway with easy access to local eateries. The price was great! It was clean and comfortable.

Review 21:Everything

Review 22:It was a dirty hole in the wall. If we hadn't been so tired, I wouldhave gone elsewhere. I was traveling with a 99 year old who didn'ttake change well. So we stayed one night. I wish I had taken the youngladies word when she said we didn't have rooms reserved. She wasextremely argumentative and just plain lied. She said she had told methey didn't have anything to suit our needs when we called. We didcall ahead, I talked with an older woman, not a nasty youngster. Iavoided using the electrical outlet with the char marks. I doubt thatthey were up to code. Some of the ice was yellow, but I'm hoping itwas just rust. No, blankets. Dirty bedspreads. Heater from hell. Spentthe night turning it on and off. Our choices were freeze or burn.Didn't seem to be anything in between. I would have felt better in abarn complete with critters.

Review 23:Sorry. The refrigerator worked. The rooms were on the ground floor. Nextdoor to the Casey Jones museum and village.

Review 24:There was a strong storm that knocked the internet out, this was quickly fixed though and not their fault, irritating because they initially blamed my computer when informed of problem, rather than look at the connection problem or confirm it. No alarm clock.

Review 25:Value Fridge Wi-fi microwave Friendly staff, informed us of things in the area. Walking distance to various places to eat.

Review 26:the fact that there was only a half roll of toilet tissue for the night and that the toilet paper holder was only a half of one the other half was torn off and there was a place that look like that it was cut out of the carpet and there was something wiped on the wall in the bathroom

Review 27:The room was terrible, the lights had broken covers on them, theelectrical socket by the bathroom for blowdryer did not work, thedrawers in the furniture fell out as you pulled them out. The head boardfell off the wall, really! It had been screwed in the wall a number oftimes and then to top it off we pull back the bed covers which was onlya sheet and bedspread, no covers in the room at asll, and we findcrunched up toliet paper, did they just maske the bed from the lasy stayand noy change the sheets? Terrible!!!

Review 28:The only thing we loked at the Motel was the location, we felt it was ina safe area and close to everything

Review 29:I went to Jackson for a job interview from Little Rock,AR. I took mywife so that she could see the city. Upon our arrival which was notuntil about 8:00pm I advised the front desk that my interview was from10-12 the next morning which may cause us to miss the checkout time byno more that an hour or so. There appeared to be about 4 other carsstaying there that night. I requested a late checkout and would haveagreed to pay a modest additional fee if needed. I was told the roomsmust be cleaned and this was not an option. I came back from myinterview and arrived right at 12:00 at which time my wife advised methe same lady at the desk knocked on the door at exactly at 11:00 andtold her to get out. Because she had no transporation she was told wewould be charged for another night. I went to the desk and advised thesame lady (must be an owner and a horrible business person obviously)and told her I would dispute this with my credit card company. Theplace is old and didnt even have an alarm clock. The tv channels wentin and out. Just a horrible experience! No customer service at all!Dont stay here!

Review 30:Price only

Review 31:The motel was fairly clean except for the floor. The carpet was dirty in the corners and cracks and did not appear to have had a thorough cleaning in quite some time. This was probably pronounced by the dark color of the carpet. The other thing was the very poor selection of t.v. channels; just a bunch of old re-runs and mostly juvenile shows on the few channels that had clear reception.

Review 32:We have stayed here before. Over the years the motel has declined but has had some fairly-recent refurbishments and is now in very good shape. Except for 2 things, listed below, we would have been very pleased with the motel.

Review 33:the room is not really clean, and very old and the smell was bad

Review 34:the location was really great

Review 35:This was a subpar property, unclean as well as unhealthy,

Review 36:Decent hotel for the money.

Review 37:Very outdated,.worn & moldy furniture. Hairdryer would not work. Idid not feel secure in the room, door latch was broken.

Review 38:Everything. Dirty, not well maintained, was awakened by a Praying Mantis flying in my face.

Review 39:Bed bugs

Review 40:There were several light bulbs burned out and no slip stripes in the bathtub

Review 41:wish the refurbish was a little more farther along. but, for the price, good value.

Review 42:obviously being refurbished. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

Review 43:it was very clean and convenient to where we were going next day

Review 44:The bed was awful

Review 45:Price
