Reviews for U Inchantree Kanchanaburi
Review 1:Beautiful hotel. Amazing views. Lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was very convenient and a few minutes walk to the centre. Breakfast was very good. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had in our five week trip!
Review 2:The rooms are to small My medium steak at the restaurant was well done Service was a bit slow but friendly
Review 3:Good view over the river and the bridge.Well appointed and well equipped room. A proper coffe brewer is a nice added touch Nice garden and pool Good breakfast
Review 4:The rooms are a little on the small side but we didn't spend much time in them so this didn't bother us.
Review 5:Located close to the bridge, the hotel had amazing views along the river. We found it an excellent base from which to explore the area and the hotel staff were really helpful in organizing transport and giving information. We were expecting cooler weather so when it turned out to be super hot we were grateful for the pool. The whole family loved the food at the hotel's restaurant (Pepper's). The staff were great.
Review 6:The rooms don't have a view. Only the meeting rooms, pool and restaurant view the river.
Review 7:The location is great, next to the bridge overlooking the river. We were given a very early check-in which was great. I liked the ipod dock with preloaded playlist in the room.
Review 8:I was glad that I'd read other reviews about the rooms being small. Sometimes we can squeeze ourselves and our two kids into one room, but that definitely wouldn't have worked here. Also, it's true that the staff only speaks limited English, but they were very good sports about it and stuck with it until our questions were answered.
Review 9:This place was delightful. They've made the most of their spot on the river, and it was so pleasant to sit under the trees or by the pool and just enjoy. The restaurant was good- we had 6 people and everyone liked their food. The rooms were clean and nicely done. Our whole family enjoyed the boat tour set up by the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 10:The fitness centre facilities were limited
Review 11:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel is located in a perfect position, with beautiful views of the Bridge from the restaurant and the terrace. The restaurant serves great food and the price is affordable.
Review 12:Rooms a little cramped and paid a little more than expected for this type of accommodation. Staff helpful but understood little English.
Review 13:Close to the Ruver Kwai bridge with lovely views.
Review 14:The room was very small! It transpired we were there for the light and sound festival, well there was some sort of rave going on behind the hotel and the noise was unbearable and went until midnight. There was no reprieve, we tried eating at the hotel riverside restaurant on our first night which should have been a fabulous experience but was tainted by the noise and we gave up after our main course as a bad idea! The hotel should warn you as it really is that disturbing!
Review 15:The river views from the restaurant and pool were lovely. The free bike hire was also a hit. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly.
Review 16:The rooms are a bit small and not in front of the river but it is not a problem as the garden, settees etc are in front of the river where is a beautiful sunset and also view on the bridge
Review 17:Everything
Review 18:Rooms are very small, restaurant food was hit and miss, but probably the best option in the area.
Review 19:Lovely location on the river, helpful friendly staff, relaxing nicely kept grounds.
Review 20:Rooms are rather small. Lack of space in the barthroom to storage.
Review 21:Very good hotel in a quieter part of Kanchanaburi. Stad was very friendly and helpfull. Good but rather expensive restaurant.
Review 22:Food in the restaurant was cooked in too much oil. And the prices are quite expensive compared to the restaurant (Loft) next to the hotel.
Review 23:Location of the hotel is great. View from the terrace and pool on the river Kwai is perfect. Railway/bridge is close by, just a few minutes walk. There is a great restaurant (Loft) next to the hotel with a great terrace and view too! Room is a little small but on the other hand, why would you stay too long in your room. Comfortable bed as well. Bathroom is perfect and with a good shower!
Review 24:nothing
Review 25:stayed there the 3rd time and it is still as good as it was before, good food, nice terrace, good choices for breakfast, rooms not that spacious but very well equipped
Review 26:The room is very small, small pool
Review 27:Great location, few minutes' walk from the famous railroad, located on the river with great view from the pool and restaurant area
Review 28:Rooms are well equipped but rather small.
Review 29:Great location on the river bank with superb views from the pool, restaurant and terrasses. Walking distance from the river Kwai bridge and restaurants on the river.
Review 30:Room was a tad small but did not detract from our 4 night stay.
Review 31:Location was superb and all staff were very helpful. Breakfast and dinner was lovely and always served with a smile! Grounds were beautifully kept. Loved the lighting in the trees and the terrace view on the river was superb.
Review 32:Shower temp varied at busy times, rooms are compact. Not many restaurants close to hotel.
Review 33:Location on the river, lovely views from the terrace, pool and restaurants. Delightful staff. Short walk to river Kwai station and the bridge.
Review 34:you won't be able to have a bad experience here.. everything is just as you would want it.
Review 35:Liked everything. From Breakfast to Bedtime !....I wanted to relax after some very hard work in my job in the UKI , and this is exactly what I got...and more. 100% recommended.
Review 36:Nothing bad to say at all. Only negative might be (as noted by some other reviewers) that the rooms might feel a little on the small side for two people, but since I was travelling on my own, it wasn't an issue for me. But the overall standard of the hotel, the well-kept outside areas, and the service and food available in the restaurant and bar more than make up for the rooms not being large, in my opinion.
Review 37:Absolutely delightful location, overlooking a bend in the river one way, with the famous bridge within sight the other way. A 5 minute walk to the bridge from the hotel - a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride to the main cemetery and museum in the main section of town. The hotel is modern and a bit blocky, but the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Beautifully maintained - surrounded by trees and well-kept shrubs and bushes. Lovely swimming pool, well-situated restaurant (overlooking the river), good food freshly prepared, helpful staff.
Review 38:Not everyone of the staff speak english so sometime Was dificultut to understand.
Review 39:Beautiful place and Beautiful rooms with músic. The help us a lot with a problem during the travel. Very good staff.
Review 40:There was absolutely nothing not to like...it was a perfect place to begin our visit in Thailand and now that we are headed home can state it was the best of all 5 hotels that we stayed in.
Review 41:Great location Friendly Staff Room was made up twice a day Wonderful large pool Easy to get transportation of any kind Delicious breakfasr
Review 42:The breakfast is fair. You do not have so much choice. The room is quite small.
Review 43:The location is the best!! Just few minutes from River Kwai Bridge. You can borrow a bike from the hotel as well. Well decorated, so chill and relax here!
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:Everything: the location, the lovely view on the river, the huge garden and the staff that was so kind and helpfull. We really appreciated how they acted when our son got his accident in the sport room.
Review 46:The staff was really friendly and helpful. Very nice view over the river Kwai. Beautiful garden and lovely pool. We booked an oil massage in the hotel and it was lovely and very reasonably priced.
Review 47:The location and of the hotel was awesome - right next to the bridge with awesome views over the River Kwai. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was great - dinner overlooking the river.
Review 48:Except the heat, needed more water around to fill up two bottle were not enough
Review 49:the restaurant was great and breakfast was fantastic, pool while a bit small was great to get wet in, views of the river was great. staff friendly and fantastic
Review 50:Lunch and dinner very average quality, better to go out. Also, that noisy party boat on a Saturday destroys the peace (not this resorts fault). Rooms a little small.
Review 51:The terrace was beautiful and staff so accomodating. Very clean place, beautiful location and just a very nice stay.
Review 52:- We stayed in room 208, the water from the shower is not very consistent. The jet of water coming out of the showerhead changes from hard to soft all the time, the same goes for the water temperature. - room, pool and gym could be a little bigger
Review 53:- small warm family feeling resort - the inchantree in the middle of the resort - very friendly and alert staff - great ambiance - nice view, looking over the Kwai (Khwae) river - very clean and tidy - breakfast à la carte (and buffet) - two good restaurants/bars next to the resort (Loft & Keeree Tara) - free internet - free bike usage - international TV channels - well equipped room, even with an iPod filled with music to relax - comfortable double bed - big towels We decided to have lunch in the resort restaurant on my girlfriend's birthday. After lunch the staff surprised us with tasty birthday cake decorated with candles. Even my girlfriends name was written on the plate with syrup. The best part; I did NOT requested this surprise for my girlfriend, nor did I told the staff it was her birthday that day! Excellent service! Thank you so much!
Review 54:Not much to do around the hotel. Prices on the high side
Review 55:The view from the restaurant, the pool and the garden is great. Free bikes to go to the city Perfect place for visits around Kanchanaburi (we visited Erawann waterfalls)
Review 56:Size of room. The resort has huge grounds.... why couldn't the rooms have been bigger?
Review 57:Location, The design of the resort , the breakfast, Awesome staff.
Review 58:Room was a little small, but I knew that so no real complaints. Gym only had two pieces of equipment and the swimming pool was only good for a cool down rather than swim. Beautiful view from it though.
Review 59:Staff excellent, fabulous setting, superb location, peaceful and relaxing. Family run atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely breakfast with perfect view. Will definitely go back.
Review 60:Had a bit of confusion with some pre authorisation issues that the receptionist wasn't very helpful with and made us feel a bit uneasy, they were probably they only blemish in an otherwise amazing stay
Review 61:Location, rooms, cleanliness, pool, terrace with amazing sunset, restaraunt staff and food
Review 62:Breakfast was fresh and quality of food was good but not much selection...
Review 63:Loved the location... On the bend in river... So close to every thing... Staff were were friendliest and most informative than anywhere I've been before... Massage was second to none and girlfriend said her oil massage was best she has ever had... Free bicycles awesome idea...
Review 64:Hotel room is not near to river side.
Review 65:Good location, very near to River kuwai bridge station. Rental bicycle service is very useful. Hotel Staffs are very very friendly and gentle.
Review 66:Nothing to complain about - this stay was just beautiful.
Review 67:The staff is absolutely amazing. Very well trained and flexible and friends and quick on understand ... they actually think in advance! Rooms are very pretty and everything is there, nothing missing. Staff actually pre-cooled our rooms ! Thank you so much for a wonderful time.
Review 68:The room is very small and therefore not comfortable
Review 69:The hotel is close to the center, but there is nothing to do around so you jave to take daily trips. The pool is nice and located next to the river. The breakfest is very good
Review 70:NOTHING! Everything was perfect!
Review 71:We booked this hotel as a wind down from the bedlam of Bangkok, we weren't disappointed! The proximity to the Bridge (5 minute walk!), the staff are so welcoming and polite, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! This hotel is simply beautiful!
Review 72:Hotel was great. Located walking distance from Bridge on River Kwai. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Bed was soft and slept well. It had the feel of a high end hotel. Breakfast was very good and we sat overlooking the river. Walking distance to a few great restaurants on the river. Planning on staying again in May.
Review 73:Everything was fab ... Beautiful place ... Fab setting right next to the Kwai bridge .... Lovely staff ... Great breakfast ... Bed ! Shower ! Everything !!
Review 74:Nothing!! We loved everything.
Review 75:We honestly loved everything about this place! The food is of an amazingly high standard. The staff are very well trained and most importantly courteous and prompt!
Review 76:When we arrived we received a refreshing towel. More than welcome in the hot weather. Excellent location. Possibility to dine with a view on the river.
Review 77:Hard to criticize, but the rooms and bathrooms were on the small side. Small price to pay for all the benefits.
Review 78:We can recommend all aspects of this hotel as a base to explore the area or somewhere to stay for a quite, relaxing retreat.
Review 79:It is no more than 250 meters from the BRIDGE, it is on the river with a partial view of the bridge, the complex and accommodation is immaculate, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is 2nd to none.
Review 80:room relatively small with limited option to store luggage We were in the ground floor, a curtain that allows to fully close the windows would have been beneficial Fitness room exceptionally small
Review 81:Location very close to bridge (walking distance) and situated beautifully in the corner of the river Excellent breakfast Quiet
Review 82:Room and bathroom size - they are tiny and hard to find space for a second suitcase. Barely room for one wash bag in the bathroom. No indoor dining option and being next to the river there were a lot of bugs around the restaurant at night. Pretty hot for westerners. Can't leave aircon on when not in the room (key activated) so you return to an upstairs room at over 30 degrees.
Review 83:Location, staff, grounds. Shower and aircon were good. Food was quite good and excellent cooked breakfast options with "real" western bacon and sausage!
Review 84:A small details but for lunch we ordered a Pad Thai and there was a human hair in the plate (mixed with the noddles).
Review 85:The hotel is perfectly situated close to the River Kwai Bridge. Staff was very good and always going to the extra miles to make your stay delightful. Food was good at the restaurent
Review 86:The staff couldn't do any more to help us, we felt welcome as soon as we left our taxi. Dinner at Peppers Restaurant was lovely, and set in the most ideal location looking out onto the river. The proximity of the hotel to the bridge was a short walk and very easily accessible. Despite our short stay, we felt able to enjoy the comforts that U Inchantree could offer, and the staff made sure of that. We only wish that we could have stayed longer!!
Review 87:The room was very nice but was just to small and very cramped. The wires that divided the balconies gave no privacy at all.
Review 88:The view from the restaurant early morning and sunset.
Review 89:The Wifi was poor quality. There was quite a lot of mosquitos in the reception area.
Review 90:The food in Peppers restaurant was good and the staff were excellent. We will definitely be going back next year
Review 91:Not a lot !!!! Would certainly recommend !
Review 92:The view and positioning of the restaurant , simplicity of the room !! Breakfast was fab! Would recommend !
Review 93:Hotel rooms are very small and I could not find much entertainment in the hotel. I think the hotel is over priced for this tyoe of hotel in Thailand
Review 94:The hotel situated near the river away from any crowd.Only good for those people wanting relexation
Review 95:The only thing I would change is an indoor option for eating. It had been raining one day and in the evening there were a lot of bugs, a fly screen around the restaurant would be better.
Review 96:Rooms Location Staff
Review 97:The room is quite small which compromised other purposes of visiting.
Review 98:The location is quite convenient and practical for city visit. Well destined hotel with nature preserved and friendly for guests. Staffs are very nice with service-mind.
Review 99:Nice touches - welcome drink, good toiletries. Very good restaurant, nice to have breakfast cooked to order. Great view of the Bridge from the hotel terrace. The Bridge is 300 meters away, town centre further, but walkable. Great place to stay if you want quiet and a little luxury.
Review 100:We could not set the AC, seemed to blow out hot air whilst we slept. The shower was also weak. Room is small.
Review 101:Location was good only a few mins walk from River Kwai Bridge. Staff are friendly. It's nice and peaceful, we did not notice any noise from other rooms. Overall good hotel.
Review 102:The quiteness, the views, the resort employees.
Review 103:visited the resort for 2 nights. The place and the soraunding views are beautiful. Swiming pool and breakfast are on the river was astonishing and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Next time in thailand we hope to come for a longer period
Review 104:Room size is too small for 2 big persons. No space for big luggage. No sport channels on cable.
Review 105:Location, hotel surrounding, service from staffs, breakfast, size of the hotel.
Review 106:There was a festival when we stayed over and although we had a note in our rooms apologising for the disturbance it would have been nice to know that before they accepted our booking to give us the choice. The festival ended at 12pm only and sleeping till it was over was not an option. When we wanted to check out early because of that, they charged us full price.
Review 107:The rooms were tidy but small and the layout is like a hostel not a hotel. It is beautiful and clean grounds and nice breakfast next to the river.
Review 108:Room was very small for the price. Drinks were very expensive for thailand.
Review 109:Swimming pool. The ambience and excellent staff and service. Food in the restarant was delicious with local influences. Breakfast was very good with a good choice. Beautiful setting.
Review 110:Because they have such a big bed in a small room it was a bit of a squeeze. I have been in worse.
Review 111:We loved the location. Sitting on the bend of the river sipping on a cocktail watching the sun go down was heavenly. Such a good position for a hotel. The beds were really big and so comfy. Staff were very helpful too.
Review 112:My suite was fine but my friends standard room was a little small
Review 113:The river and mountain views. The big hotel holiday feel but with the personal care of a smaller hotel !
Review 114:That we only booked 2 nights!
Review 115:The location was amazing - just a few minutes walk and we were at the bridge. Great pool and gardens, very relaxing. Lovely room and great breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay
Review 116:Everything! Couldn't fault hotel- from the moment we checked in (early) to the time we checked out! We enjoyed location- peaceful, food- good service and quality overlooking the river and bridge, staff- helpful and friendly. Would recommend highly.
Review 117:The rooms were small in comparison to others in the area. Two 3 foot beads would be more suited to the size rather than 4 foot
Review 118:The staff were very good The location is perfect. The food is excellent Very comfortable and well appointed rooms
Review 119:The hotel has bikes free of charge for guests. However, they are badly in need of maintenance - the pedal fell off one, the brakes didn't work on another and then the chain kept coming off! The hotel mangement were very apologetic and were mobilising a pick up to come and rescue us when we limped home. Which shows how wonderful they are - they just need to sort out the bikes.
Review 120:The location is wonderful. The design of the hotel, the gardens, the pool is very harmonious and creates a very calm atmosphere. The rooms are not huge but very well laid out.
Review 121:Rooms are rather small, but we stayed only for one night so was no problem at all.
Review 122:Nice and clean hotel, quiet. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent service. Plenty of good restaurants in nearby.
Review 123:Rooms a bit small
Review 124:Tranquil surroundings, amazing views. Breakfast was a good buffet (fruit, cereals, pancakes) with the option of ordering hot food as well.
Review 125:rooms much to small for the price noisy loud hammering music from two differnent places at the aera during day and night
Review 126:setting of hotel along the river in green park
Review 127:Small room and shared terrace
Review 128:The location
Review 129:The room is too small
Review 130:The atmosphere , helpful staff
Review 131:Rooms are too small.
Review 132:Location, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.
Review 133:Staff very friendly and helpful location excellent romantic and quiet.
Review 134:Pricey cocktails with no alcohol like almost every bar in TH. Stick to beer:)
Review 135:Nice location on the river. Nice staff.
Review 136:Rooms were a little small
Review 137:Location,
Review 138:rooms are small, but it is compensated by large open spaces outside
Review 139:Pure Serenity, perfect location, large open areas
