Review 1：room was clean/adequate, not overly charming, dated furnishings...but we didnt spend anytime in room so it was fine...there was a noise in the walls/ceiling all night, might have been air conditioning unit or plumbing pipe...

Review 9：We didn't get assigned to any of the rooms I saw online which was why I chose this inn. Photos of rooms were beautiful. Our room was not. Rundown, sofa and rugs that need shampooing badly. 1 drawer for clothes-too small for bureau in the bedroom. Mirror in bedroom very beat up with big and little tarnish spots on mirror. Blinds old and dented. Need replacing. View from window was horrible-shows outside walls and windows desperately need paint and repair. Female Mgr was very argumentative and defensive when we shared our disappointment. This was our 25th anniversary and it was not at all what was presented. She never offered congratulations, but instead acted like it was my fault for booking online-even though she said they still won't guarantee you will get the room you were promised. No rooms available to move us to and she made no attempt to do anything for us this stay to try to make us happy. Told us maybe next visit we could get a room we could choose from if we stuck around after checkout time to "poke your heads into the other rooms"-but again, still no guarantee. We didn't stick around after checkout because we will not be back. We were totally disgusted that she fought with us and acted like the issue was our fault. We spent as little time as possible at the inn. I know this inn gets many good reviews but those guests must not have had to present any type of problem to this unprofessional manager who never even introduced herself. Not impressed!
Review 10：Location is great. Young lady working evening shift that checked us in was pleasant and helpful. The bathroom shower tile was nice-looks very new. Towels were very nice-extremely soft and fluffy.

Review 30：I don't mind a little noise as we enjoy staying out late and it was St. Patrick's Day parade weekend but being an old historic building you could here the guests upstairs though I suspect they were enjoying the many local bars and restaurants so maybe not all guests on other floors had the same experience. As I said, we'll definately stay again, just remember this is not a hotel with concrete walls and floors so if a few creaks in the night or some heavy feet on the ceiling occasionally won't bother you then be sure to give it a try.
Review 31：Staff was wonderful as were breakfasts. The off-season price was reasonable with comfortable accomidations and on-site parking. The history of the Inn is interesting and the location makes for easy walking in a beautiful historic city near a wonderful harbor. If your looking for 5 star then this might not be for you but it was neat and clean and we had a wonderful stay. We'll be back again!
