Reviews for Grand Oaks Hotel
Review 1:Walls are very thin between room, so if you have a loud neighbor it can be bothersome, we didn't have that issue but see it can be.
Review 2:Very clean, bathroom is updated & very clean, sheets are very soft, bed was comfortable, overall very good experience
Review 3:Breakfast buffet was so-so in quality and variety. They had biscuits & gravy every other day, and sausage & eggs the other days. When we were there, lots of small kids in the breakfast area were sick, sneezing and coughing all over the place. Only one elevator so if you go during busy season, be prepared to wait for elevator.
Review 4:Very nice room, hotel recently renovated, indoor pool & hot tub were excellent. The on-sight tourism consignere office was helpful for info on Branson shows and attractions. Lobby was decorated nicely for Xmas. Staff was very courteous!
Review 5:Venues in Branson are spread out over a few miles and this beautiful hotel is right in the middle of everything. Also liked not having to go anywhere for a hot breakfast each morning! Will definitely stay here again!
Review 6:No lotion or hair conditioner in bathroom. They only have a soap dispenser in bathroom in the shower.
Review 7:Just off the main highway so quite and clean stay at an affordable price. We would stay again if ever in Branson again
Review 8:loved the idea of having the Jacuzzi in the room. But there was no way to safely get in and out of it unless you have 6ft long legs. and the TV was too small. And we couldnt find any of the movie channels
Review 9:The beds were wonderful. so comfortable. we had plenty of towels and the it was very clean.
Review 10:Wished there would have been shampoo, lotion samples, etc. Good thing I brought a few. Also, the main front door was not sliding or automatic. Made coming and going with loads of luggage, etc. difficult. Pulling open big heavy door with one hand, while balancing bags.
Review 11:Great location, and nicely updated! Bathroom was clean, and liked the extra sink just outside bathroom door. Breakfast was wonderful! That pancake maker (spits out 2 fresh cakes in 1 minutes) was a hit!
Review 12:Our room was mis-booked, upon check in we were sent to a room that we did not request. We pointed out the issue to the front desk staff and it was immediately resloved
Review 13:Friendly Satff
Review 14:I had a hard time finding the street sign, but that could have been a Google map issue.
Review 15:Very relaxed atmosphere. The front desk staff was awesome! Knowledgeable and very friendly.
Review 16:We were very pleased with our stay there. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable with an easy chair and ottoman besides the two beds, plus a desk, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. It was well appointed, clean, up-to-date styling. Our only complaint might be that the breakfast was only average, not great, and not as many choices as we would like.
Review 17:We did not enjoy the breakfast. Needed a bigger variety of food. The only thing we ended up enjoying at breakfast was the orange juice and coffee. We did not like that our 14 year old son could not enjoy and use the hot tub with us. We are his parents and that should be a choice we make for him not one the hotel makes.
Review 18:We thought our room was nice and clean. We loved the location of the hotel.
Review 19:[1] Room reservations LOST / took a long time to check in. [2] NO ONE cleaned our room 1st day...no towels; no beds made [3] few washcloths....and dirty and stained... Breakfast was meager! No much variety. My daughter and I were not happy with the hotel.
Review 20:did not like how close the toilet was to the door, literally an inch apart with door open, poorly laid out
Review 21:we were on the 4th floor, and there was an ice machine and vending machine on our floor, that was nice
Review 22:I don't like that they charged my card an extra $50 when I checkedin for charges that I might incur!!!!! Then you have to wait 3-4 days toget the money back. Then I still have an extra $1.00 authorization fee! They should have given me back $51.00. I don't like other peopleusing my money for no reason!!!
Review 23:The room was modern and clean and the hotel was centrally located.
Review 24:Very poor cell phone/Internet service. We stayed in bldg. 2 and did not use the indoor pool because it was inconvenient since it was located in bldg. 1. Breakfast was not great.
Review 25:Found water bottle cap in floor. Only 1 lounge chair, the other was a desk chair. Left room by 9 and returned around 4, room was not cleaned during away time. Had to request room to be cleaned on 2nd day.
Review 26:Liked the nice KING bed. Jacuzzi in room.
Review 27:Have stayed several different times in different years at the Oaks and have always had a very enjoyable stay with everything very clean and a friendly staff.
Review 28:compact bathroom, Desk clerk had dirty fingernails upon check in & warm continental breakfast (supposedly) alternates between buildings daily
Review 29:Location & comfort of the beds
Review 30:very long waiting line for mediocre breakfast in very crowded dining room- maid was just starting to clean room at 4pm when we came back from an event to rest- left card on bed to change sheets but maid had to ask me again in person- hoping I would change my mind
Review 31:towels folded like 2 kissing swans on end of whirlpool bath
Review 32:The ac unit was noisy and did not run correctly. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet it was to small.
Review 33:The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet.
Review 34:Checkout problems with a confirmed reduction in stay. Carpets were very dirty. TV was ancient. Whole place was Ineed of an upgrade - not much investment going on here.
Review 35:Breakfast was good on days they had eggs.
Review 36:Love the location, it's clean, the friendly staff, breakfast was tasty and beds & pillows were comfy. We have stayed there before, but hadn't been able to get in a couple of times because we waited too long or picked a very busy weekend. Won't make that mistake again!! Thanks for the great stay!
Review 37:The fact that we were met with cigarette smoke just outside our elevator on two mornings...in a non-smoking property! We had only 1 facial soap for a stay of 2 nights for 2 people...the dispenser in the tub was empty...should have been checked by housekeeping; When we informed the desk on checking out, heard "did you call someone about "no soap"...sorry? When you are stark naked in the tub, who wants to wait for a staff member to be notified and come from the other building with a bar of soap? I think we should have been comped a little! Hallways didn't smell clean and fresh. Having to pay the same price for a 'lesser' hotel behind...than the original Grand Oaks in the front. We have stayed at the Grand Oaks many times and enjoyed it every time, but we won't stay there again, and we'll tell our friends to find a better hotel!
Review 38:the location of the hotel...close to so many things! Beds were clean; TV worked great! Breakfast was adequate.
Review 39:Unable to eat breakfast due to dining room being packed. There were a couple of tour buses with senior citizens. Noise was loud in dining room. We had to eat elsewhere.
Review 40:Excellent experience. The beds were comfortable. The location was quiet.
Review 41:The beds sleep great. It is extremely quiet. Rooms are spacious and have refrigerators and microwaves. The complimentary breakfast has numerous options and tastes great. Staff are always very helpful.
Review 42:The floor in our room had crumbs on it everywhere when we just got there, the floor in the bathroom was so dusty and the top bed decor was dirty and looked like it had not been washed after being used by the previous guest.
Review 43:The bed was comfortable
Review 44:They were remodeling and the lobby was a mess.
Review 45:The staff was very nice. The AC was not working in our room so they promptly found us another close by.
Review 46:The staff(5-6) people would hang out at the front door smoking and walk back and forth in front of the airconditioning unit that sucks smoke into the room. Rooms could be updated and was a little musky smelling. The entryway was being remodeled. The view is of asphalt driveways.
Review 47:The Sealy mattress were great and we will probably buy one for our home. The front desk people were accommodating..
Review 48:The bathroom counter needed to be cleaned and the soap dispenser did not work until we called about it and there was one day we did not have any hand towels or washcloths or bath mat we had to call about that too.
Review 49:This hotel was located near almost everything we wanted to go to.
Review 50:Grand oaks was a good hotel. Nice location, not on the busy strip but also not too far from all of the activities. They are in the midst of remodeling but it really didn't affect our stay at all. It will be pretty when they are done. Overall a nice place and we would stay there again any time.
Review 51:The main building was under renovation which can't be helped. The outdoor pool was at one building and the indoor pool was at the other building and the buildings didn't connect. The elevator stalled and hesitated before it started up. Odd smell to the 2nd building
Review 52:The price was very good.
Review 53:The Jacuzzi tub in our room was surrounded by a half brick wall, late at night i tripped on the steps for the tub and fell into the brick surround, I think some reflective material should be added around so it might be seen more clearly with just a night light.
Review 54:The staff was more than accommodating, very personable and knowledgeable about the area and tourist information. The hotel is very nicely located to all the downtown attractions and in a very safe location. My husband and i walked everywhere and felt very safe at all hours of the day and night!
Review 55:The room only had one chair. 2 would have been nice. The lobby was all torn up, so no comfort chairs to sit in. If I would have been aware of that I would not have booked. The breakfast was terrible. No good selection and the same everyday. The hot tubs were the most horrible thing I have ever seen.
Review 56:The location was great.
Review 57:Hotel under construction resulted in dumpster outside window, paint fumes, outside doors left open with wood wedges, concrete dust. Why was this work not done in Spring months when tourism was down?
Review 58:Location, friendliness of staff.
Review 59:Refurbishing the lobby was in full swing. Is was clean and neat but the rooms are smallish. Only one chair in the room. Fire alarm at 5:45 Saturday morning. Analog TV.
Review 60:The location was great. the staff was pleasant and helpful, The price was very affordable.
Review 61:What I didn't like was to get from one building to the other you have to walk out on the street or walk up a very steep hill. There needs to be some stairs to go from one building to the other. The rooms are a little compact.
Review 62:I liked that we had a choice of an inside pool and outside pool.
Review 63:The heavy chairs in the room, no towel racks, not enough electrical outlets. Didn't like the appearance of the girl in bldg. 1 who had the breakfast bar. Her hair was greasy & stringing down. She was just dressed sloppy. I saw someone pull a hair out of their gravy so that should tell you something.
Review 64:For sure the location & the price, friendly staff & the wonderful breakfast.
Review 65:The breakfast wasn't very good. Maid didn't really clean the room. The toilets are too low. Need grab bar to help get out of the jacuzzi.
Review 66:The room was on the ground floor.
Review 67:Nothing
