Reviews for Pung-Waan Resort & Spa
Review 1:The wifi in the room is not workIng, the breakfast is poor and should be improved, the way to the swimming pool is not confortable and only few reclining chairs are available in the swimming pool area which are not enough for the guests.
Review 2:The place is quiet and nice on the river with a huge garden although a bit dated and in need of rennovation the rooms are spacious and clean, is good for a week end not for a long stay.
Review 3:1)At the time of booking photo shows modern look of the room but actually rooms were in shabby condition.Flooring is very poor.Toilets were below average.worstthing I requested one large bed at the time of booking however surprised to note that they didn't had largebed inspite of that booking.com confirmed me one large bed.In view of the above I cancelled additional one day booking & came back.My holidays were spoiled due to wrong information were provided by booking.com.Hence I have decided now onwards I will not book any property through booking .com.I lost money as well as leisure.
Review 4:1)outside appearance is very good.Breakfast & dinner is also good.Staff was also excellent.
Review 5:- staff is under pressure and looks like they are making way too many hours. When you ask something, they respond stressed. Staff does not speak any English here and makes your stay over-complicated. Only one guy is kind & speaks English. Many mistakes at the restaurant because of this too. Unacceptable. Only ok place when you travel in a group with your own tour guide. - the location is far away from the city and the hotel does not offer any services. they should have their own tuk-tuk service hourly to make up to the distance. Totally inconvenient as on-site there is nothing.
Review 6:The garden, the river, the nature but so many much better places offer the same in this area. The pool is good. The quality of the food in their restaurant is good.
Review 7:I was the only guest that night therefore the lobby bar was closed by 9 p.m. and no one around except the 2 receptionists who were very friendly.
Review 8:Lots of tree and nice scents of flowers everywhere
Review 9:We did have a little confusion when finalising the bill, while this is not a complaint and the problem was handled well be the resort staff and could have possibly been the fault of "Booking.com"
Review 10:Having a car I have travelled most of Thailand over the past ten years and in general I have found that places I stayed have smiling obliging staff, are clean and have the facilities they claim, this was no exception. The interesting layout, furnishing and ornaments, the swimming pool and the restaurant with its quality traditional food at a very reasonably priced. Add to this the company I was with made it a pleasant and memorable stay.
Review 11:You need a car if you stay here as it is quiet far from the bridge.
Review 12:Nice location overlooking the river. Very peaceful and nice spot to chill out. Good pool. Breakfast was ok
Review 13:It was 30min walk to the bridge, then another 30mins to town. The resort was little run down and very noisy. The bikes are only for hiring inside the resort.
Review 14:It looks good on the website.
Review 15:No bad experiences but breakfast could have been better.
Review 16:Very nice spacious hotel overlooking the Kwae. Spent two nights here but could have done with more time to go on all the trips. Pool, bar and spa excellent, so peaceful after the bustle of Bangkok.
Review 17:The hotel was only interested in group bookings for conferences, etc and not tourists. No tours, no taxis, could not go on the hotels own river barge, and the breakfast was for Thais only, no western food!
Review 18:It was a large, well located hotel, with good clean rooms and a large garden on the side of the river kwai
Review 19:room floor tiles dirty looking, bathroom toilet flush faulty, room service inefficient due to language issues, restaurant food range very limited to Thai, Cable TV quality can be improved, A/C noise affects sleep, children's play area not available. Access to town can be improved
Review 20:large and clean swimming pool, nice layout, large garden spaces, warm reception. Quietness,
Review 21:TV should have at least 1 cartoon program for kids, and 1 movie program in English, i noted you now have bbc news and is good
Review 22:Everything was very fine , have stayed there many times is perfect quiet location and only few mins drive to center and kwai bridge
Review 23:No tea and coffee in the room Fridge was not really up to the challenge Air con very loud No real holiday atmosphere

Review 30:Tired and a bit run-down. Few guests so no life
Review 31:Quiet location on the river with big gardens
Review 32:The staff
Review 33:- swimming pool is quite dangerous for small children - breakfast buffet is not so good
Review 34:- clean - friendly staff
Review 35:Lousy internet access and a bit of a hike into town but if you want somewhere quiet, its ideal.
Review 36:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very comfortable and tranquil.
Review 37:* Far from city or nearby activities. * Not easy to get transport to/from resort. should provide shuttle service to/from city. * No buffet breakfast hence variety available is very limited. *Restaurant staff were not freindly (rude) * We had requested for additional 1 peice of toast bread but refused to serve saying that only 2 pce per person. * Wi-Fi is week
Review 38:* Resort location adjacent to the river. * Reception staff were very helpful despite non English speaking for some . *Quite, peaceful and romantic place . * Very clean
Review 39:Too far out of town. No restaurant open so had to get taxi in to town.Furniture in rooms were shabby and in need of refurbishment. Showerattachment had come away from wall so consequently the shower headcontinually came detached. Could only exchange American Dollar and Euro.
Review 40:Too loud music from other side of the narrow river. It is not a quiet week-end unless the hotel do something with it.
Review 41:Location not far from city and bridge.
Review 42:Terrible service - unfriendly, unhelpful staff. The place is a bit run down, wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.
Review 43:The pool
Review 44:Insufficient signage to reach hotel. Average interior.
Review 45:Beautiful setting. Nice and big swimming pool. Good hotel exterior.
