The Holiday Residences Praia D’El Rey is next to the Atlantic Coast. It offers spacious self-catering apartments, townhouses and villas.

Review 1：There is no one organisation managing the site so no one takes responsibility for any issues, they just pass the buck. The lift to the beach doesn't work. There is litter that is not cleaned up. The polls are in a poor states repair (I cut my foot on a loose tile).

Review 3：The stairs in the room aren't the most practical thing traveling with a baby. Within the resort, the hotel/reception is poorly indicated.

Review 5：Hotel facilities not open to guests at residences unless you pay an extortionate daily fee. Staff at hotel not welcoming. One restaurant on residence site. Average and pricey. Pool in our apartment block small, broken tiles and no chairs to sit but we could go to other block pools which were better.

Review 10：I stayed 3 days in this resort in late july. It's lovely. It's very tranquil and quiet and only a short walk to the beach. Everything was fantastic! The flat was big, very well decorated and had very comfy beds! The kitchen had all the stuff I needed and the 2 pools were really nice! Also the resort staff were very friendly. It's a beautiful place to go on holiday with small children! I loved it!

Review 12：we stayed in a townhouse style 2-bedroom appartment. very clean, modern but not over the top. good books and dvds in the room itself. 1min walk to pool and 5min to beach. great views over beach and golf course. breakfast at the pizzeria with stunning views.

Review 18：The cleaning ladies were a bit patronizing. After a thorough clean-up on the second day of our stay, they then became lazy and stopped doing the beds or taking out the garbage. There's no way one could bathe in the ocean because of the huge waves but the inner swimming pool is just perfect for the job.
Review 19：Amazing location, access to clubhouse, a few pretty good restaurants for such a small and rather remote resort. The views over the ocean were magnificent and given its location (around 80km from Lisbon city center) makes it a perfect holiday destination for those who don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of Lisbon yet not utterly isolated.
Review 20：Nice appartment, fully equiped. Location very close to the sea but remote from resto's, shops,... Resort is well maintained. No real atmosphere in this period (June) of the year.
Review 21：It's relatively isolated, so you need a car to get to other places. The supermarket is very small and quite expensive.
Review 22：The villa was great with all the necessary amenities. The rooms very spacious and comfortable. The beach was right in front of the villa. If the weather is not inviting you to go to the beach, you can drive for about 20 minutes and get to know other places, such as Peniche, Praia do Baleal and Óbidos.
Review 23：The cleaning was far way from perfection. There was a death bird in the balcony that should be there for months. The supermarket is poor and very expensive. We stayed in a T3 apartment and there wasn't a double bed.
Review 24：The apartment was spacious and had all the conditions. Including washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment had a magnificent balcony with sea view. The outdoor areas are well appointed and the beach is walking distance from the apartment.

Review 26：Check in / Check out times. It does not make sense to only be able to check in at 16.00pm and have to leave the house at 10.00am. The value for money is not good.

Review 28：Although this apartment was closest to the beach (within the massive resort) it also meant it was furthest from the entrance. Every crosswalk along the road is built on very tall bumps which means it's very annoying to drive to and from the apartment, if you want to visit the area. The road itself leading to the resort is not very good, especially at night (no markings on the pavement and no light) and it will take you a fair amount of time to get to the main road. Ignore the above if you'd like to stay in the resort your whole stay, but be mindful if you'd like to explore around a bit.
Review 29：Friendly, helpful staff. At check-in maps were provided along with information on events happening in the area. The T2 apartment we stayed in was downright huge, sized for 6-8 people instead of 4, with an outdoors swimming pool literally in the garden. Complimentary welcome pack was actually pretty good (fruit, coffee, tea, cookies, juice, milk, bottled water) and is enough to get you going on the day you arrive. A stone's throw to the beach and a small supermarket which has the bare essentials, both for eating and beach accessories.
