Reviews for Adulo Apartments
Review 1:With a car, a very well located, well equipped studio apartment, hot water, a/c, fan, unused tv and dvd, kitchenette, secure, quiet, easy to find. Very nice staff.
Review 2:Wi-fi doesn't work except first day. Water in the shower ran very slowly and they came to fix it the penultimate day.
Review 3:Location is very good- near market, beach, main street. The staff-Lucy is very kind and polite person, very helpful. Lucy-thank you very much again.
Review 4:Wifi did not work for most of the time and it took them 5 days to sort it out. We stayed in appartment 1 next to the lobby and it was extremly noisy. In one of the bed rooms it was almost impossible not to wake several times a night because people were talking outside. The windows are made of thin panels of wood which is very suitable for the climate but doesn't stop any noise. The equipment of the kitchen is very scarce.
Review 5:the staff is very friendly and it is not far to the sea. The appartment itself is alright
Review 6:We felt that we were in a real Barbados not in a hotel. Adulo is in a quiet leafy area 10 minutes Bajan walking speed to shops, buses/taxis , cash machine Scotia bank, range of eateries, and beaches. Our accommodation was small but we were able to self cater for large group of visiting friends in the lovely airy "hang out ".
Review 7:Friendly staff and cleanliness of the accommodation. The location is handy for the beach which is a short walk away. There are good transport links clos by also.
Review 8:The bedroom was extremly sml it was my friend n i stayin together in 1 room. It we had to place out suit cases in the room and open it there wod not have had enough space 2 do so... it felt clustered
Review 9:The location was exactly where we wanted.
Review 10:Location was good, good transport facilities, reggae buses only 2 dollars. Beach with walking distance, lots of places to eat. Jackie was very pleasant, willing and smiling along with other staff.
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:Ideal spot for the beach, shops, bars and places to eat. Location quiet and close to Bridgetown (4k) with a car hire place round the corner. Good for the budget traveller.
Review 13:Only the WiFi was not strong
Review 14:This is our second stay we love the place location is great close to beach, shopping and eating , the staff is nice Mrs Brown , Lucy and Jackie want to say thank to David and Rickie for the golden apples we had a great feast
Review 15:Telephones, each room should have a direct line so there will be no need to go through the front desk.
Review 16:The convenience to transportation and the staff.
Review 17:i really liked the location even though its a hard walk down to the mainroad in the boiling sun, but it isnt that far and way cheaper than the bigger hotels at rockley beach. it was clean and basic, but i did not like that i had to pay extra for the A/C and you def need one there! but all in all it is a great place to stay if on a low budget and you only in your hotel to sleep..
Review 18:The poor Wifi service No telephone available in the room
Review 19:Easy access to public transportation Very short distance to places to eat Having a kitchenette privacy proximity to several beaches
Review 20:We are same couple that write before, but we had 2 recevations same hotel, becauce we was so long time that we did"t get only 1. Our time Wi-fi plays all the time and everybody was so kind to us everytime. We liked a lot.
Review 21:amazing staff
Review 22:The apartment was a bit dusty
Review 23:The location is great, restaurants and beaches within walking distance.
Review 24:Staff was super friendly and the apartment was so comfy. Felt like we we're home.
Review 25:wifi very poor, extra charge for a/c
Review 26:nice large kitchen for those who stay long
Review 27:I arrived at the hotel about midnight and the place was, to all intents and purposes, locked down. I had to wake up a staff member to direct me to the receptionist. The following morning, I had to call my own taxi. Indeed, I was told that I could get a taxi down the street. I did not find that satisfactory and thought the least that could be done for a guest is to get me a taxi. The stay began badly as the taxi man just deposited my luggage (and me) in the driveway and turned his back on a visitor to "lovely" Barbados before checking to see whether the receptionist was awake. Shameful behaviour, to say the least. This was such a contrasting experience coming from Nassau (The Bahamas) where the treatment of visitors is so classy. Adulo is not an option AGAIN and landing in Barbados late at night must be avoided at all cost.
Review 28:Free wi-fi in practice doesn't work. Most of the time it's not possible to connect at all. When you can connect, the strength of the signal is poor to fair and the speed is usually 1 mpbs. Poor noise and light insulation. The chickens in the neighbouring garden start making noise early in the morning, i.e. at 2.30 a.m.! Difficult to sleep. Air-conditioning only availabe if paid extra. The room urgentely needs painting. Walls are dirty. Also, sheets of one of the twin beds did not look very clean.I found two cockroaches under the bed.
Review 29:The hotel is just a five-minute walk away from a very nice Accra beach. It's one of the cheapest hotels in the area. Easy to get to Bridgetown by bus or by taxi. The kitchen of the studio is well equiped. There is a supermarket nearby.
Review 30:I could not get internet access - a critical component to the business traveller.
Review 31:The accommodation was ideal for a business person who wanted to be in a quiet surrounding.
